Still holding at 49%, they just do not have enough to get into double spend territory.
Went to 50% Just now before BTCGuild and another pool mined a block.
9142  Bitcoin / Pools / Re: BEWARE GHASH.IO!!!!!!!#TODAY#36Phash/s!!!!!!!=~44% of ALL NETWORK POWER if... on: June 13, 2014, 03:18:26 AM
...the next difficulty will be ~ 82Phash/s!!!!
GHASH.IO power grows very VERY RAPIDLY (I remember a few days ago only they stated to have just something over 24Ghash/s and TODAY it's 36GHash/s!!!!) CRAZY ,isn't Huh
....bitcoiners who are still support this "COMPANY" (usually via buying a NEW CLOUD HASHING MINING POWER from it) are SICK ,very VERY SICK & SHORTSIGHTED and nothing else probably the care ONLY short-time PROFIT(if some ever exists)!!!!! ....but GAME can be OVER much SOONER as YOU think!
I agree YOU CAN earn (loose less Cheesy ) by buying some cloud hashing power from them(CEX.IO),mostly because they are running the biggest pool=>less variance=the most stabile payouts + probably a cheaper maintenance costs (in compare to paying an expensive electricity etc...) ,but currently they are TOO BIG (with approx.44% market share and still growing!!!)=>TOO DANGER for the bitcoin, for us!!!!
I believe THEY CAN BE A SMART & not DIVE BITCOIN under "51% ATTACK" =>as they can spread a portion of their hashing power into the others (known & UNKNOWN) pools (personally I believe THEY ARE ALREADY DOING!!! ,if they have "A LUCKIER Cheesy day as usually....but what?WTF??? Is it mean a SECURE & DECENTRALISED BITCOIN NETWORK?Huh ...just imagine*What can happen, if they'll stop to be a SMART & HONEST GUYS??? ...or if "SOMEONE BAD" takes OVER their ALL HASHING POWER @ (GHASH.IO and in "OTHERS" pools) and....(you know what I mean so...) HuhHuh
I'm NOT AGAINST strengthening of network hash rate as a whole=it's VERY VERY IMPORTANT for bitcoin's GROWN Tongue ,but I'm AGAINST CONCENTRATION of so MUCH(maybe already the most)POWER in just 1 HANDS ONLY, because without decentralisation there will be(almost) NO TRUST and NO DIFFERENCE from others...
and BITCOIN's (as a whole(protocol/currency...)) VALUE WILL DROP TO (almost) ZERO!!!!!!!
Don't YOU agree with me hmmm?
YOU will be A BETTER OFF ,if you BUY some bitcoins from an "exchange or ATM" as to put your "HARD EARN MONEY/BITCOINS" to buy some overpriced "UNPROFITABLE" & totally "OUT OF YOUR CONTROL" cloud hashing mining power from the "BIGGEST POOL OPERATOR"!!!!!Thank You Wink

Ghash LOL.. If its only 36Ghash, I think they are currently at >0.1% Of network lol.  Its PetaHash, I agree it can be dangerous, its up to those miners to choose to leave the pool.
9143  Economy / Lending / Re: Need 0.02 btc loan on: June 13, 2014, 01:36:55 AM
I can provide you with 0.02 loan but I need your signature campaign organizer to confirm that you will be receiving more than 0.02 payment next week and in case you default, he needs to deduct the 0.025 and send it to me.
9144  Economy / Lending / Re: [ Fast | Reasonable | No-Collateral ] ★★★ [ Low Interest Loans ] on: June 13, 2014, 12:46:41 AM
I think it's because reputation loans are as precarious as the whole trust system.. you can't be really sure.
Someone could get many reputation loans and then scam as soon as people trust him with more cash.

Check btcjam^^
No worries.  Already familiar with btcjam but loan not really needed.   Was just interested in some positive feedback is all.  Have been getting along just fine without it thus far Smiley
A lot of those reputation loans lead to a bigger loans that default. I guess people are mostly cautious about this. I can supply that loan if the purpose is not for reputation.
9145  Economy / Lending / Re: [ Fast | Reasonable | No-Collateral ] ★★★ [ Low Interest Loans ] on: June 12, 2014, 07:09:37 AM
Loan Amount: 0.01 BTC
Purpose: Get my girl a really fancy cupcake.  (just kidding, trying to build positive trust)
Loan Repayment: 24 hours
BTC Address: 1BwW8eFhNUnzxtvbutfJcypjNQ1YyJ8NsD
Backup payment plan(s): Signature Ad campaign, or alternatively I could shoot you one of my super fancy BFL jalapenos Wink
These will be my last loans for probably 10 days, as I would like to assess those who have not paid.
I am giving them 24 hours from now, and will proceed from there.

Thank you guys for your business.  Smiley
I have also heard that reputation loans are not welcomed here.
9146  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Vps mining on: June 12, 2014, 03:08:18 AM
Using a VPS for mining would be best on Brand New Coin launches. Since the diff will be low and you can deploy the instance rather quickly you should be able to rack out some coins pretty fast.

Sustained mining on a VPS is not really a good idea, you will either break even or loose your shirt.
The new coin might just be a pump and dump coin, most of the coin value would be very low. Your VPS provider will most probably terminate your VPS for taking too much resource.

9149  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Vps mining on: June 10, 2014, 03:11:29 AM
I have started vps mining just to know how it works.
but i want to know  Huh Huh Huh Huh Huh that whenever i close putty it stops mining.
do anyone know which command i should run to let vps mine 24 hours a day.
i am using debian 7.0 x64 in my vps.
please help.

This has been unprofitable for some time now.

LTC mining was profitable a few months ago when using cloud computing, but difficulty increases and price decreases have caused it to become unprofitable.

My understanding is that the most one instance can mine is 2-3 MH/s.

Per http://www.bitcoinx.com/profit/ 200 GH/s will mine .0086 BTC per 24 hour period.

Based on the above numbers you would need to have ~66 thousand instances for 24 hours to earn .0086 BTC which comes out to $5
You are wrong. AFAIK, most instance can't get pass 500kh/s. LTC was never profitable since hosting providers will shut your VPS down after using 50% of the CPU for too long.

Did you try posting within 360 seconds of logging in?

I set "Always stay logged in" so I always "online"
but in window with 360sec error - "Total time logged in: 6 hours and 7 minutes."
so I do not think that it is somehow connected
Surf the forum for around 10mins it works for me. You should see your total time logged in increase.

I DIDN'T DO ANYTHING WRONG?Huh

@GBattaglia
I hope you will not let yourself be manipulated by this abusive prick.

There's no point asking for loans with a brand new account. I don't know if OP would do it, but most people around here just don't, in order to prevent scams.
The community doesn't work this way. First you build up your account, contribute and discuss, then by your age, post history and feedback, you might get the chance to request loans.
Why bother trying? You know, like everybody else, that you can run away without paying. We don't know your intentions, but in general, prevention is a better measure.
Try BTC Jam maybe.

Regards
I think his trust rating is relevant though, not much people would loan anything to someone without collateral let alone requesting loan on your second post.

Hello,

I wish a loan of at least 0.25 btc as a startup fund for my mining operation base in singapore. (Take it as an investment loan)

Will be able to payoff in 2 days time after i get my pay which is the 7 June.  Or we can work something out

My Bitcoin address: 18Uja7s76LG8xyLnxGaCfmXU3mn8aBVR9b

Thank you in advance
Average Singapore Electrical fees in Singapore is 26 cents(I forgot what's the exact, roughly there). Even if you have a low electrical fees, you need to buy hardware and buy cooling equipments, Singapore's temperature is quite high.
9155  Economy / Lending / Re: [REQ] 0.04 BTC loan for 3 days, return 0.05 BTC on: June 05, 2014, 01:58:53 PM

You don't have enough trust/reputation for people to take your loan request seriously. Just like a bank generally offers loans secured based upon other assets, you are only going to get this loan if you have some collateral to offer. Since you do not have either I would be fairly sure you won't get this loan.

I'd pretty easily give it to him , but it seems like this is just a stepping stone.
He is taking progressively larger loans , in a bid to finally "cash out" any trust he gets. (that is the only reason I can see for continuous tiny loans with no specifiable reason)
Aren't you concern about whether is he going to pay back? There is significantly higher chance of default.

I would just buy some mastercoin but not lot of mastercoin.
I don't would buy more than 0.04btc in mastercoin ; that is for this I ask this loan.

Why do ranochigo tell I probably defaut ?
You are a newby and you tell me I  have a higher chance of default ?
No I am serious
Not comparing me to you, I'm comparing a person with collateral and one without it. You may be trusted, I have seen many full, senior and even hero member scamming. I apologize if you get my opinion wrong.

Hello,

I wish a loan of  0.04 btc to buy mastercoins.

I could pay off you 0.05btc in 3 days because I made a 200€ bank transfer towards my account Bitcoin-Central to be able to buy bitcoins.

My Bitcoin address: 13k3pGFoJG5TWSVnXoUE7mD4QUnYDn5ZBU

I have no collateral.

Thanks,
The problem is that you do not have collateral, you need them to assure the lender that they can get back the full amount without much risk.

How I can do for prove to you that I get back the full amount ?

Just provide altcoins as collateral then we will be sure you will repay loan, your account is new and why anyone will take risk with you.

I have no altcoin now so i don't have collaterql.

But my account is not new ; I was registered in December 2013
The account age doesn't actually matter though, you can have an account back in 2011 and still be a scammer.
