"hidden wall" doesn't sound transparent market tool at all and is a terrible thing for an exchnage to allow it happen  I am moving away from bitfinex permanently. Why is it a bad thing? Is it worse than bots in your opinion? Indeed, nothing wrong with it at all, if you don't wish to show your hand, why not?  |

Sales tax is not due on gold or silver purchases.
BullionVault gold and silver are both VAT (sales tax) free - for as long as they are held in accredited vaults. If you choose to withdraw your gold it remains exempt, but 20% VAT will apply if you choose to withdraw your silver bullion.
So as long as you convert your silver holdings to fiat for withdrawal you can avoid paying any VAT on it, or to fiat and then to gold for withdrawal.
Do not store your bullion on third party. Bullion only unter selfcontrol or your insurance is not available on worst case scenario. Maybe it is fine for short time trading, but in this case use paper markets. I keep plenty under my own control in my own hands, I also trust BV's allocated system and outside vault auditing much more than paper markets, ETFs etc, but each to their own choice and risk/convenience preferences. |

I have been dithering over buying some silver for a few days. I've got a good source and would be looking to keep it for 5+ years minimum. Its annoying that you have to pay VAT on silver sales in the UK but not on gold sales.
I've been using https://www.bullionvault.com who are UK based, for allocated gold and silver, for many years and highly recommend them, I find it compliments having physical PMs in hand, especially if you like to trade any price swings. |

I didn't stay up to watch, but thanks to those who bought out the wall/s and also to those with the ingenious conspiracy theories, anyway for anyone interested in the numbers it totals 23,830 DRK that I purchased the last couple of days from those walls at 0.00666 - 0.0069 - 0.007 the average price being at 0.0068869 so very approx at $2.69 maybe. I've started 15 more DN today, 20 in total now, those coins are now gone from the market for the foreseeable future, at least until 2017. Hope that you found it entertaining, they'll be more to come I expect  |

yeah, that good soul has been doing that since yesterday... replenishing the 10K every so often (was first 11K @ 0.0066) Any idea how much they already bought? Looking at bitcoinwisdom trade history, rough guess is maybe 5k since midnight GMT. Not sure about yesterday's action though. 7,291.75 DRK including yesterday ;-) 7,399.69 DRK and climbing - Edit the raw data from Qwizzie's link seems to support that.
