BTW, which exchange are you going to use to determine the value of LTC? I sold an LTC on vircurex for around $0.80 USD before  Grin

Which ever is the main/largest exchange at the time, so atm BTC-E.

I would like to share my story as well:

It took me 5 days in total to claim back my Dividends and Shares.

Through Wednesday and Thursday I filled all the documents and got an appostile. Then I sent hard copies through registered mail to Gigavps lawyer and in addition scanned copies of the documents to Gigavps email. On Monday I got full Dividends and the right to upgrade to Teramining when the equipment will be ready.

Total cost was around 120 EUR (100EUR for the documents and 20EUR for the shipping). As you see I am from Europe.

P.S. I could have lowered notarization cost, but I wanted to complete my claim as soon as possible.

He'll accept them as attached PDF files of the scanned docs, no need to send hard copies unless requested I believe, my claim went through without np.

Update on $1B

At the time of writing (about 4 hours ago) 228,251 blocks have been mined for a total of 10,956,300 Bitcoins. Multiplied by the price of $89.245 per bitcoin, brings us to a Market capitalization of $977,794,993.50

Data from: http://www.reddit.com/r/Bitcoin/comments/1b3w7h/so_close_to_1_billion_what_happens_afterwards/ & Gox highest price today.

(In the approx 4 hours since the Reddit OP I think that's about 600 bitcoins extra mined, which I haven't included)

1906  Economy / Collectibles / Re: CASASCIUS PHYSICAL BITCOIN - In Stock Now! (pic) on: March 27, 2013, 01:21:30 PM
I have just received 150 Casascius 1 BTC in Spain, everything about the experience was great, I ordered Sunday 17th March, the order was processed the same day & was shipped on the 19th, US tracking showed it to have reached LA by the 24th where it would continue to Europe, with Semana Santa holidays about to kick in tomorrow for nearly 1 week I checked my PO box on the off chance today, the 27th, & there they were - may even have arrived earlier this week.

Perfectly packaged & declared, no customs or duty or anything, all in rolls that were vacuum sealed & with instructions, I'd already been emailed a list of all the addresses which was a bonus that I wasn't expecting, with a couple of cool Leet ones amongst them:

1337qbfsHGxvzN6wrckdFoBniMdTRyt9qE
1337YWoEf5PP4V9sbP8gXTHmt621pZgyCu

I had planned to offer 50 for re-sale, especially for people living in Spain, but have decided now to leave them all vacuum packed as they are & to order some more for this instead.

While these were paid for with bitcoins that I already had & planed to hold anyway long term, rather than with freshly purchased with dollars bitcoins, it is interesting to note that in the short time since I ordered them the $ value of the bitcoins alone has increased from $47.50 to $87.

Will edit to add some pics...

I hope that Casascius decides at some stage to make some 0.005, 0.01, 0.05 & 0.1 btc coins in the future as well as the 0.5 btc ones he's planned, as 50 cents, $1, $5, $10 (if/when the exchange rate gets to $100) I think ppl would find very useful, especially the 3 lower denominations. Perhaps start a line of Satoshi coins with 500k, 1M, 5M, 10M satoshis instead of the above bitcoin fractions.

Another way to do them perhaps is like how small, say 1 gram, gold bars are sold by some refineries/mints sealed in to hologram-ed assay cards, like these:

http://www.ebay.com/itm/UBS-1-gram-Gold-Bar-in-Assay-Card-Hologram-/12108384164

UBS make the best in my opinion, the coins could be made in a rectangular shape similar to how the gold bars are.

Edit to add pics. Note coins have been placed in my bank safety deposit box.

Litecoin's horoscopes for Wednesday March 27, 2013

People who are long-suffering often end up regretting some of the sacrifices they have made in life. They start to wish that they had been braver and rebelled earlier. But we can't conclude from this that all gestures of selflessness and stoicism will lead to regret and recrimination. There is also such a thing as deferred gratification. You put up with a lot of what you don't like, so that you can be rewarded in the end with a lot of what pleases you greatly. That's a much fairer description of what's in store for you now.

Always pushed and pulled when the Full Moon is around, you may be especially sensitively aware since the one around now falls in your own sign, a once a year occurrence. Don't leap to any instant decisions since your judgement may be a little awry, at least briefly. Just try to keep a balanced view of your closest relationships. You can stay on top of your game at work at the moment but only if you don't get into any power struggles.

Agree, the gold B on a silver 1 oz was the best design by far to date, the 1 BTC coins are also great imo.

Ah interesting, I see many unusual happenings regarding Tarot which I use in my day to day life/living for many years, please to excuse my minimal fees offered recently, this is because the requested addresses are really just for fun or like as you enjoy solving some even though it may not be the most cost effective use of resources - I have a couple of drinks & think that would be cool to have that one out there in the block chain, at least my public key has some earlier quite fat fees offered to hopefully make it worth mining at once in a while & in the past ppl have pulled in quite decent btc rewards from it, my favorite to date being 1ELiZABETH that I requested for my niece - a cool 9 chars after the 1 & of the harder initial A to P variety even I learn now = all the better.
1910  Local / India / Re: Bitcoins & astrology, horoscope, numerology - thoughts,explanation,ideas... on: March 26, 2013, 09:35:16 PM
3rd January as birthdate of Bitcoins I understand - as it is the date of the genesis block.
I am curious as to what location you picked however for the birth of bitcoins.
I normally caste the charts manually...It is a process involving lots of labour, time n calculation...To save time for mathematical location of various planets, I depend on certain softwares which appears inaccurate.I shall get data from GREENWICH OBSERVATORY to get accurate position of planets. The Indian system and the Western systems differs by around 22.5 degrees. Perhaps this correction was not applied in the software. I shall manually cast a chart for BTC with reference to local time of DUBLIN.
Mr.OTOH.....which is the Ephermeris u relied to get the planetary positions..? Is it RAPHAEL...?

I used the excellent & free charts generated on the Swiss site www.astro.com please feel free to ask me any questions you may have about using them, it took under one minute to enter the data & pull up the chart which is 100% accurate, I then used http://imgur.com/ to save the charts downloaded to my computer in order to share them with others.

On the left hand side of the www.astro.com home page in the blue options column, click on 'Free Horoscopes' then on 'Horoscope Drawings & Calculations' then select 'Extended Chart Selection' & enter the data for the chart you require, this can be saved so that you can re-visit it at any time & see Transits, Progressions etc & even daily horoscopes for multiple entries/people/charts should you wish.

The data given in Raphael's Ephemeris will match that given by www.astro.com if you prefer to draw the chart by hand offline, but it doesn't include nearly as many geographic locations as these sorts of calculations are ideally suited to computers rather than to books.

Edited for typo in www.astro.com

Very nice, looking forward to seeing LTC Smiley

We'll take a good look at it and make a decision before too long.
We spent a lot of time preparing for this from a legal / tech perspective so we'll be able to add features quickly.

Welcome back! Seems that starting with hedge fund type clients is a good way to go, if they & the US regulators are happy with your set up this time then I expect it will be extremely secure for smaller traders/investors when you open up for them as well.

1913  Economy / Speculation / Re: $80 and it is not mtgox on: March 26, 2013, 08:00:58 PM
This morning I received an invite to a private view, it has a minotaur on it about to ravish an unsuspecting naked sleeping lady who I guessed must synchronicitly represent either the $80 or $100 bitcoin price, quite appropriate - part man and part bull which used to hang out in the southern Mediterranean island of Crete, near enough to Cyprus. If anyone in Barcelona wishes to go it's next Tuesday Thursday evening the 4th April btw, just let me know.

Not to be pedantic, but that's not a minotaur. That's a satyr: a creature that is half man and half goat. And, yes, satyrs are well known for their libidinous appetites.

Thanks for pointing this out, my mistake, whatever it is it sure looks horny, lol I also got the day of the art show wrong too (stupid Catalan, dijous = Thurs not Tues).

In general, aspects atm

For today we have Mars sextile Jupiter - confident, lucky, high energy & for tomorrow a rather intense 'monster' full moon in Litecoin's sign of Libra, along with Mars square Pluto which won't be a whole lot of fun.

Bitcoin's horoscope for Tuesday March 26, 2013

Don't over-tax yourself, bite off more than you can chew or over commit yourself. If you can keep yourself under a certain amount of control, put down a few limits, then you will be really pleased with the end results of your activities. You will be in a high flying, real dynamo of a mood, and it's just wise not to get ahead of yourself and lose some really good opportunities.

I've added this clearer chart pic to the OP which shows the exact UTC & also local time of the first block made if the location was Dublin, Ireland which seems the most probable correct birth chart for Bitcoin atm.

OTOH n WISARD..... when every there is controversy abt birth time I cross check with RULING PLANET THEORY.........I feel PISCES to be moon sign because at the TIME of my analysis the Ascendent star lord is JUPITER, Ascendent sign lord also happens to be JUPITER, two  votes for Jupiter, Lord of Pisces and just one vote for Mars....Tuesday..  I also follow the Western System which is rational...the difference in opinion of planetary positions is a GAME THE ALMIGHTY is playing to provide VALUE n LIQUIDITY to BTC...ha ha ha

There is no controversy about the birth time if you accept that it was when the first bitcoins were created, the genesis block, if you choose another date & time then please explain why, ie when coins were first moved from one address to another or when the first transaction was made of coins in exchange for something else like dollars or pizza, it seems you have chosen 12 noon on 2009 01 03 in Washington (DC - I assume) which seems rather random to me & quite unlikely but in any case the moon is clearly in Aries on that chart as it is for any time or location throughout the world on 2009 01 03.

Here is the chart for your chosen time & location, the sun is in Capricorn as are Mars, Jupiter & Pluto; Mercury & Neptune are in Aquarius, Venus is in Pisces, Saturn in Virgo.

When you say "BTC was introduced on 3rd January,2009. I cast an horoscope for BTC. Moon sign is Pisces ... Sun sign is Sagitarius with Mars. Jupiter & Mercury in Capricorn, Venus in Aquarius and Saturn in Leo." The planets in red are clearly incorrect - this isn't a difference of opinion, it is a fact of the most basic astrology, for instance Saturn had left Leo in 2007 - a full 2 years before Bitcoin was created so this is clearly impossible.

I still believe that the Dublin chart is the most likely though, here is a clearer pic of it.

1919  Local / India / Re: Bitcoins & astrology, horoscope, numerology - thoughts,explanation,ideas... on: March 25, 2013, 07:05:14 PM
Thank u OTOH for ur posting.. His Genies SATOSHI's first transaction is just a statement. Thnre is no SALE....So it cannot be considered.Either of Dublin or Tokyo chart may be considered if it were the payment for PIZZA....Is it 9th Jan....? please tell whether it is DUBLIN or TOKYO...

Please refer to the thread where I originally posted this, I linked to it, for why Dublin seemed to be the most likely location of the first block being mined - for me I consider this the birth moment of Bitcoin as it's when the first bitcoins came in to existence.

As for which transaction was the first actual sale made with bitcoins I expect that wasn't until much later on, also when bitcoins were first sent from one address to another would be later though I haven't looked in to when this first happened, the moment of genesis or creation seems the more important to me.

The date is the 3rd Jan 2009, as shown on my charts. https://en.bitcoin.it/wiki/Genesis_block
1920  Other / Off-topic / Re: Bitcoin Wishing Well | Make your wishes come true! on: March 25, 2013, 06:41:15 PM
As I doubt that you've dropped the only copies of the private keys for those addresses down the well then the money goes to you rather than the potential wish granting 'spirits' of the well, you could spend it on some old silver coins say & drop those down the well on the wisher's behalf but you don't claim to do this either.

Personally the best Bitcoin wishing well for me is the genesis block that was mined by Satoshi & which can't be spent due to a quirk in the way that the genesis block is expressed in the code (this may have been intentional), traditionally for a wish to be granted a sacrifice of something that you value given to a 'sacred' or symbolically important place/entity may well work, but to send money to some chancer on the Internets is not the same thing at all.

I've sent over 4 BTC to Satoshi's genesis block address & no I can't tell you what I may have wished for or whether it's been granted as yet, incidentally coins made effectively irretrievable only adds their value to those remaining by increasing scarcity.
