Where did 4 ltc = 1 btc come from in the first place?
There will eventually be 4 times as many ltc as btc, 84M to 21M. I made an intro to virtual currencies site for friends (so it's not really public) but will PM you the URL - hopefully you may find it of interest/use, it emphasizes security aspects of holding VCs.

After further investigation I've decided it's safe to download & have, but am unable to unarchive/extract the BtcAddress.exe on my Mac, seems that it's a for Windows only program which i don't use. Any help in getting the https://gobittest.appspot.com/VanityMult & sum sites working or who to ask would be appreciated, thanks.

Many thanks, but unfortunately that's way out of my league for using, I don't use windows & though I trust Casascius I don't download stuff & I just don't know enough to be sure that I'm not exposing my part of the private key to attempt this, I am geek lvl 0.
It does look very useful though & if I get a separate computer in the future from the one where I log on to stuff then I will experiment with it.

To be quite honest, I have disadvantage many of the most faithful of Gigaminers who claimed early and upgraded two months ago. This was certainly not my intention and it will be rectified.
Thank you! +1 (I'm down 38.79 btc in Gigamining dividends over the 8 weeks to last Monday, I trust to Gigavps to honor his previous pledge that the early upgraders to Teramining will come out ahead for helping him out by doing so, from this recent comment it appears that he does indeed intend to rectify this.)

Litecoin's horoscope for Wednesday 24 April, 2013
What have you ever done to help make this a better world? Plenty! Think of all the generous gestures you have made, the kind contributions, the constructive interjections. You have shared so much of your heart and soul, touched so many lives and made such a difference. Don't you deserve a little back? Whilst you can't automatically expect reward for some previous good deed, you can at least allow yourself to have a little faith in the idea that something good could be on the way to you. Because it is. The partial lunar eclipse on April 25th is a chance to 'reboot' your life.

Litecoin's week ahead, Saturday, 20 April 2013
Do you wish your finances were in better shape? Would you like to feel more emotionally secure? There may be moments, this week, when you start to feel uncomfortable about a set of arrangements. Too much hangs on a precarious factor; an untried plan or an unreliable individual. But you are in too deep. You've really got no choice other than to stick with a set of suspect circumstances and hope for the best. And all that may yet be for the best. The eclipse implies you could soon start to feel a lot safer and happier.

Bitcoin's week ahead, Saturday, 20 April 2013
People accuse the press of being 'sensationalist'. They complain that stories about people who work hard to do good deeds are invariably overlooked in favour of tales involving drama or trauma. But much the same can be said of history. Quiet lives, no matter how virtuous, are rarely remembered. Only the craziest of characters attain any kind of immortality. The eclipse implies you may soon start to attract a lot of attention. If that's what you want, you know how to increase it. If it's not, just say less and do more.
A partial Lunar Eclipse will be visible on Thursday evening* (or Friday morning) from some parts of the world.
*Parts of New Zealand.
In Western Europe and West Africa, the eclipse is visible at Moonrise. In Australia, Japan, Eastern Russia and Indonesia the eclipse is visible at Moonset. In Eastern Europe, Eastern and Southern Africa, India, most of China and most of Russia, the entire Eclipse is visible.

The last three comments remind me of the BTC-E troll box, really if you have nothing to say then it is best just to say nothing, if you wish to troll then head over to the troll box pse

Otoh, i dont understand your comment about India. Besides why India dragged here?
I remembered an Indian mining op that you sold shares for long ago, so unless I'm mistaken you operate there, no? Yes, i operated a mining company & i never mentioned its an Indian company anywhere & when i can't able to operate, i bought back all the shares & closed it. What is the need for you to call India & my mining company here in gigamining thread? Your mining op was totally 'mentioned' as being located in India from the start, when it failed due mostly to being in India & the challenges that raised for mining that you hadn't adequately anticipated & allowed for, then it is of great credit to you that you eventually bought back all the shares when you had to close it, I don't remember if people ended up losing money by backing you but they certainly never made any & it was not a good investment for them by any means, usual story the btc price was rising fast - your assets were in fiat payed equipment, difficulty rising, inadequate electricity supply, faulty hardware, the whole thread was a tale of woe, just about everything that could have gone wrong did so. I mentioned 'only in India' as a lite comment on your posts in this thread, you have a persistent & imo pernickety style that I chose to satirize a little, feel free to satirize mine anytime

If you ask the same thing many many times that has already been answered many many times & ask in many many slightly different ways will this maybe change the outcome maybe = only in India Dude you need to jump through the giga hoops, period. Pro tip - once you do that, then don't take the 'early upgrade' option to tearamining

Litecoin's horoscope for Friday 19 April, 2013
If something needs to be done but we don't know how to do it, we try to imagine how we might rise to the challenge. We might think, 'That looks easy.' Or, 'That looks really hard. I'll never succeed.' Those responses count for a lot because they shape the level of enthusiasm with which we then approach our challenge. If we feel pessimistic, each little difficulty will seem to confirm the pointlessness of the exercise. You are perfectly capable of doing all that's needed this weekend. Just believe that and give it a go. The partial lunar eclipse of the full moon in Taurus on April 25th is a chance to 'reboot' your life.
