961  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Gambling experience using loan money on: August 19, 2023, 07:41:44 PM
~
Sadly a gambling addict doesn't understand what's self control and discipline, he will try to gamble as long as he have money and will try anything to get money. If every gambler understand about self control and read every warning message on the casino, there will be no gambling addict.

I think they're born to become gambling addict that used to make the casino's owner become rich, make a debt collector to work etc.

They understand it. They know control but they are just not resisting because they like it. Once upon a time, some of us are also addicted to gambling games but because not only did we want to win but also enjoy the company of friends playing so we keep doing it.

You should not gamble if you feel stressful whenever you gamble even if you are using own money. Gambling should be use for fun and you should stop if are already stressful in the game since it only means that you can’t handle risk. You don’t get the real purpose of gambling.

I understand about the pressure on playing using loan money but not all user here feel the same way because some user just need quick funds in crypto while waiting for their salary.
Why will a gambler utilized loan money for gambling in the first place, it absolutely makes no sense. Loans are taken for budgeting purposes, not gambling, and they have implications that we might never exist after encountering. Gambling with a solid mental balance will undoubtedly lead to gambling with an estimated amount of money, rather than the other way around. When it comes to gambling, we feel more pressure to do what we think is right, but we often forget that the chances of succeeding are 50/50. It's as simple as that: our results either result in profits or loses.

This is a very rational statement which is being said by a rational person, even if you maybe a gambler based on what you say that loans are for budgeting purposes makes you a very rational person and that is a good thing. The problem though is that gamblers who are deep down in addiction or near falling to it will not think that cold headed and will just say that I get this loan and I win money, deep down they think they will win with this money but unfortunately for them it is a dead end tunnel which you have a lot of difficulties turning back and getting out from there.

They really would expect to win and even paid the loan with extra in hand ready to roll out again. This always ends in a disastrous way when the loanee lost the bets and couldn't pay the debt.

In a loan business, most of them are going to check what kind of job a person has and whether he has properties before he is allowed to take a loan. In the forum though, all you need is collateral. Back in the day, the account can even be used as collateral.
962  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Gambling by financial dependents. on: August 19, 2023, 06:38:39 PM
A family member reported to me that her eighteen years old son has started gambling. She is not worried that he is gaming but her problem is that he is a student that solely depends on her for everything he needs. Her fear is also that her son might start stealing from her if he has no access to the money he needs to gamble. My relative has even started suspecting that some money she feels was misplaced might have been stolen by her son.

He is not worried but has a problem. Perhaps, she would be worried more because her son is gambling, not just a simple gaming activity. She would stop her son as early as possible before he totally fall into a gambling addiction. She would have not let the worse thing happen because it was hard to stop it once addicted and yes, stealing could be possible.

We should have to educate young minds about gambling and must tell them the real thing - they must know the negative impact on their life in order for them to discourage.

But one is not supposed to over react either. Sure, it is good for anyone who is young and inexperienced to be aware of the risks of gambling in the long term, but not all the gamblers are destined to become addicted to their hobby.

There are people out there who are gamblers and one would not even notice, because they are able to control their feelings and their money.
It is a matter of paying attention to him to see whether he starts to behave in a different way and he loses the control over his finances. As long as he keeps a healthy budget and can stick to it, then gambling would not be harmful to him or anyone around him.

For a young man like OP's nephew, he will learn eventually after losing money and circumstances change where there are more things to spend on than playing slot. Young men always commit mistakes they learn eventually how easy it is to spend someone else hard-earned pay while hard to spend the money you worked so much.

Not being able to learn all these will really make the guy dependent all his life. It's pathetic to see a grown man asking Mommy for money so he could play slot.
963  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Typical scenario when you are losing on: August 19, 2023, 05:27:10 PM
Do you have something like this?

Experienced a losing streak and my patience run out and then max out.  Grin

You know playing in the middle of the night is actually my favorite thing to do. No one bother's me and I get to stay outside using my laptop while smoking. It keeps me focused when I'm the only one alone and confidently free to open a browser with a casino on the page. It's really bothering when someone is behind watching your bet like they know how to play than you.
964  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 🥊 The UFC Info and Prediction Thread on: August 19, 2023, 05:13:55 PM
Andre Petroski will fight Gerald Meerschaert, Andre Petroski was born in the USA, in Pennsylvania, he is 32 years old and has only 5 years of professional career, in addition to that fact he also had few fights throughout his short career, in all he did 10 fights, and he managed to win in 9 fights and lost in only 1 fight, and a good performance, to add he had 4 wins by knockout and 4 wins by submission, he only had one victory by decision, while his opponent Gerald Meerschaert is 35 years old, was born in the USA, in Wisconsin and has more than 13 years of professional career, having made a record of 51 fights, with 35 wins in which he got 27 wins by submission, 6 wins by knockout and 2 decision wins. in my opinion Andre Petroski will win this fight

Andrea Lee had fought Natália Silva, well Andrea Lee is 34 years old and was born in the USA, in Texas, she has 9 years of professional career, in that 9 years of career she had 20 fights and won in 13 fights and lost in 7 fights . she has 5 wins by decision, 5 wins by submission and 3 wins by knockout. while her opponent, Natália Silva is 26 years old and was born in brazil, has 8 years of professional career, having had 21 fights, of which she won 15 fights, lost 5 fights and had a draw. Of the 15 fights she won, 5 wins were by knockout, 7 wins were by submission, 2 by decision and 1 by disqualification. in my opinion Natália Silva will take advantage of the bad moment that Andrea Lee is going through and with that Natália Silva will win this fight

Karine Silva will fight against Maryna Moroz. Karine Silva is 29 years old and was born in Brazil, she has 10 years of professional career, and during the 10 years of her professional career she managed to have 20 fights, of which she won 16 fights. they managed to get 9 wins by knockout and 7 wins by submission, on the other hand their opponent Maryna Moroz is 31 years old, was born in Volnogorsk, Ukraine. she has 15 fights, of which she won in 12 fights and lost in 3 fights. She has 4 submission wins, 1 decision win, and 1 knockout win. well, in my opinion Karine Silva will win this fight

Fights are uninteresting when no one is posting about them. But since you posted them I start looking into their fights on youtube. Its usually the younger one that is very eager to win but if I have to bet, I'd try Meerschaert. He is quite a very experienced submission fighter and though he is just 35, it's odd he is not the favorite.

Natalia Silva also is the younger one with more subs wins.
Maryna Moroz's record is 6 by submission and 4 by decision.  But I think Karine Silva will come out as the winner between them. Karine has more KO rate than Moroz, this obviously says Yes.
965  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: How Big is the online gambling industry today? on: August 19, 2023, 04:37:46 PM
Online gambling is a billion dollar industry. Even the country that doesn't have the perfect regulatory compliance makes billion dollar revenue. This is the reason we were able to see countries that doesn't ban gambling completely.
Gambling is now a common game.  So now almost most of the people in the age group of 15-50 are addicted to gambling. Especially the youth are deeply addicted to it.  All gamblers are losing money gambling and the gambling industry is taking in billions of dollars.  The gambling industry is so addictive that people who are addicted to gambling lose control over themselves. So it can be said that the gambling industry is very big now. on the other hand, Gamblers are completely destitute
It is true that the gambling industry is very big and it has been going on for ages. Gambling is a very old and popular form of entertainment in most countries of the world. But addiction is a bad thing so you have to learn to control yourself the interest of the young generation is high, but the elderly are not far behind. Not only online, these days many people are getting rich by gambling in other ways as well. However, with the advancement of technology, more people participate in online gambling than other forms of gambling. Many people can't quit gambling despite making money and many obstacles despite many attempts to stay away from gambling addiction many people end up not being able to stay away from gambling.
Gambling is very popular, but earlier there were only physical casinos for gambling then gambling was not very popular.  But ever since a huge industry of online gambling has developed, everyone's interest in it has increased, because now there is no need to go to a specific place to gamble. And gambling with crypto is much easier.  Because there is no hassle of banking or limits to deposit and withdraw money, it is becoming more and more popular day by day. and it’s  industry is very big.

Since the pandemic more and more online casinos are launching and even our retailed CBDC wallet can be used on it. They will start competing with the crypto casinos since they can easily make online users adopt especially because regular people can just use the usual wallet recommended by the governments. There are several online local casinos swarming the local forums, kind of known already to my neighbors.

This industry is not stopping, it's gonna get bigger than the newer industries like AI.
966  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Why Bitcoin Instead of Gold? on: August 19, 2023, 03:44:28 PM
Bitcoin because with BTC all a person need is just the seed or the private key to carry his entire money and BTC is the safest and the most valuable crypto.
Although Gold is also valuable and trade Gold, we can only have digital gold which literally just has no value unless we get physical gold. However, the person holding bags of bars will have problems carrying them without getting attention. It's still easier to have BTC, it's all back together.

The majority of the users here will prefer BTC of course since they have been in crypto for years.
967  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Dreaming That I'm Playing In A Casino, Do You Have One, on: August 19, 2023, 09:36:34 AM
I gambled a lot in the past few years but I have never experienced such dream. I think it is also related to psychological thing, when you think too much about something before sleep then it may come into your dream. Since I have never had a dream about gambling so let me talk about dream in general. Some dreams can be an alarm for me or at least it may make me think about it for a while. I'll think about how if the dream happen in the future, so it will help me to prepare something.

He could just be regretting deeply for the loss before he sleep thats why he also dreamt of gambling. If one celebrates for winning in the casino I think its possible to have extend the celeberation in the dream.

In this modern world, interpreting the dreams seem not very applicable anymore unlike back in the time of Egyptian Paroahs. If I interpret gambling in the dream, OP will probably take a life changing and risky decision like  marry someone or not. Or stay in his home town or move to another city kind of decision.
968  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin $27,000 - $27,500 Support Zone on: August 18, 2023, 08:04:05 PM
I have a feeling that someone knows something and that is why we are dumping. The open interest increased a few days ago when we started to decline. I think there is word of a ETF rejection or a delay that we will receive at the end of the month most likely

Usually when we trade in this type tight volatility, it means we will one day break-out. However we don't know which way. But it now looks like we are breaking in the bear side. We will see if $27K holds, but if it doesn't then it doesn't look good.

Michael Burry dumped his stocks before this BTC dump happened. I guess he got a heads-up for what's coming.
My anticipation this time is for the weekly scale to hit the bottom, the price has to go down to $18k for it to be considerably a good bottom before bouncing gain.

For the speculators in the futures market to stop speculating, they'd have to move to the spot market or get liquidated and by that time, prices will go up. This kind of dip has always happ[en every time there is an exchange activating their futures market. This week it was Coinbase.
969  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: The fight between Mark Zuckerberg and Elon Musk. Who you betting on? on: August 18, 2023, 06:23:41 PM
^
If there are any boxers approaching the two billionaires, it will more likely be about representing them in a fight which the 2 billionaires will be happy to host and make money out of these boxers. And what is at stake is probably what the billionaires are going to discuss.

Assuming the two really agreed to fight, I don't see a point for boxers opposing the fight to happen when we have seen influencers and onlyfans girls fighting. But the physicians of Zucker and Elon will probably find an excuse for both not to fight just like Elon undergoing surgery.
970  Economy / Speculation / Re: take advantage of opportunities on: August 18, 2023, 06:05:43 PM

Soloway predicted the price will dip to $12K to be the bottom this time.

In the last bear market, BTC plunged down to $3.800 for its last attempt. He also compares this BTC dip to be the last attempt of the bears which will take the price down to $12k.
So yes this is indeed the best opportunity for those who have lots of funds still.

People all over the world are struggling since the pandemic in 2020 up to 2023, this is really bringing people down to their knees so if you still have funds left, you are indeed given the right opportunity.
971  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 🥊 The UFC Info and Prediction Thread on: August 18, 2023, 05:56:21 PM
I just can't bet against Sterling in this match up, and he's at better odds than I was expecting; 1.40. Probably, due to Sean being a fan favourite, and a lot of the fans are backing him to win. I think he prefers decently well in the stand up, but Sterling at any point could decided to take it down to the mat, and I think he gets the submission pretty early into that. I'd say the safest bet is the double chance DEC/SUB, however I wouldn't rule out a TKO either.
I think O'Malley has a decent chances to win in this fight and maybe do it in a KO win style, so I placed my bet on him, lets see if I was wrong.
Aljamain Sterling is a good fighter but I think he sometimes acts to arrogant and someone needs to bring him back to earth a little, maybe O'Malley is best candidate for that.
I dont know when UFC started doing Tournament Championship fights, but they slowly started to copy PFL, I can see two fights like this in Prelims Smiley

If Sean can sneak his jabs before Sterling can duck to grab his leg or attempt a body control he can win after all Sterling for the most part will put his hands down every time he does it.
Sean did a lot of takedown defense during his fight with Yan and he did manage to stand back up again. There had to be more than 10 takedowns but with Sterling, it will be at every clash he will struggle at every round. This will be what we can expect to see.
972  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Gambling by financial dependents. on: August 18, 2023, 04:44:10 PM

Gambling addiction somehow the effect is not so different from drug addicts where they stole some money or sell some stuff to have some money to buy the drugs. It's hard to resist when the monkey keeps scratching. The mother of the boy knows much her son than we do and there are more reasons why she worries about him stealing some cash.

My old lady always tells us not to let her see us smoke cigarettes if the money we use to buy those cigarettes comes from here. To expand this a bit, if we're still dependent on her and our money comes from her, we better not do any vices.

The boy saves money, probably skipping meals to save just to gamble. Does anyone think it's not bad?
973  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Passive income with crypto on: August 17, 2023, 07:27:35 PM
Hey guys! I've been in crypto for a while but since it's bear market I'm curious: are there any services where you can earn passive income in crypto, except lending?
If you know, share your experience, please.

Hard to find passive income generating platform since most of the time only scam platform as just showing up. I don't know if staking is good option but you can try the suggestions posted to know for yourself if its really worh it. Also don't think about passive thing on crypto but rather on  learning new things on crypto and try to earn on each ideas you read then apply it. Also be careful on people offering big profits since this is much unrealistic and this is just used by scammers.
It’s rare to find some passive income these days and if you’re not cautious and careful enough, you will only fall into scammers traps. That’s why don’t be too trusting when other people say that you can earn passive income in crypto. There’s always a need to put some works and time for it so you can expect to earn. However, you could also try following the advices ahead of this post and if they weren’t work for you, then let’s just say that passive income rarely exist these days. Instead, work on it and give the best what you can be, be knowledgeable and even skilled on it, that way there’ll be sure income coming your way.

ETH staking does seem not like a scam but you gotta have a huge amount of capital to make it. Let's say you a more than a million of ADA which you have bought since the time when its price was less than $0.02. It would be a good source of income actually. Defi was once a popular way of generating passive income but like any other methods, the bear market killed it.

These Staking coins are only good if you are one of the first to have figured its an easy money when you have looked into the future before the prices tanked.
974  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 🥊 The UFC Info and Prediction Thread on: August 17, 2023, 07:11:15 PM
Exactly. Imho whole O'Malley career is created by UFC. He is an UFC product. They have found a guy who can knock out people, he has charisma, he can talk, he can sell. They build him a history. Lets look on O'Malley career. The guy is having a title fight in few days and the only fighter from bantamweight top15 he has beaten is ranked 5 Petr Yan, who he won by split decision. And to explain that O'Malley comfortably had only strikes in his ufc career. He had only one bjj opponent, Vera, to whom O'Malley lost Cheesy

To be fair, O'Malley lost to Vera but not because of Vera's bjj skills but due to some weird leg injury, it looked like he took a wrong step and damaged his ankle or something like that.
Obviously he was fast-tracked by UFC into the title-shot, but UFC cannot manufacture star out of nothing - he has some solid skills. And, as proved by Adesanya, it's possible for the striker with no bjj/wrestling background to have a long reign as a champion.

As for the Saturday - Sterling is more likely to win, but I'd put my money on O'Malley due to the attractive odds.

That's a good gamble. 3x is tempting. We've seen so many upsets in MMA so it's very possible. Who knows he can strike Aljo on the chin and stagger. It's definitely possible to quickly follow up with kicks, anyone can quickly KO an opponent when they are unstable after a hard punch.

If Omalley is just a likable guy in the UFC, he might really have more fans than Tekashi rooting for him. But so far he is like the Josh Koscheck of this time. Dana likes him though no wonder a fast track to a title shot is given. He would stay long as a champ if he wins.

975  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: What you will do? on: August 17, 2023, 04:46:51 PM
When a gambler play, he would expect a win and when that doesn't happen I think the most sensible thing to do is to stop and give a break for the unlucky day. And if the next day I don't feel like depositing another, I'd just move on to the next casino that might just make me win.

Sometimes I just move to another game though. I'm not lucky most time in casino games like blackjack but with sports, I win even in Tennis and Soccer which I'm not a very fan of.
976  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Anonymity is no longer a benefit of gambling with cryptocurrency. on: August 17, 2023, 04:22:22 PM
It's still minimal if it's merely asking for KYC at the time of withdrawal, the worse part is that you will provide every needed document but they will still not approve your account. This is just because of your winning, and they will be finding excuses for holding your money. I don't think there is a company (gambling or not) that I don't first do my KYC before I entrusted my money with them for the past 18 years. I make sure that my account is fully certified, and if they started making excuses for withdrawing my money, then I would know immediately that it's foul play.

A no-KYC crypto casino should be the best judging by the nature of cryptocurrency but lack of trust and regulation have tied their hands. Even at that, they have excesses under the guise of KYC, which is why it's good to look for the ones you can only trust.

They are bound to comply with the regulation that if the government asks for the client's data, they might just give it as well. I don't think there is a casino that you can trust but as long as you play and withdraw minimal funds, you could just skip the KYC requirements.

There are however casinos that ask KYC regardless of how small the funds you are about to withdraw, I tried this from one casino which still asks even if the funds I got were just $70 worth of Doge.  Never bother to withdraw it but play the risk of putting it all to the underdog by KO.
That's true. Casino wouldn't sacrifice their license for the sake of a single gambler. If they are asked by their license provider, I think it's obvious that they won't hesitate to comply with it.

If a casino has a license and didn't declare that they won't collect KYC, don't be unconcerned about KYC since they still has a chance that they will collect it from you. It is the experience of the majority of low bankroll gamblers but don't assume that it will also happen to you because we don't know what is the real criteria of casinos.

It's good to always safe to assume it can happen to everyone else. Although they have different criteria, having less than $500 in the account is quite safe. I wouldn't even try to withdraw this much already but this is because I'm sure I will be back to bet again.

If ever I am required to submit though, I will comply and will more likely going to stay in this casino for a long time after all my data is with them already. And I don't wanna submit it to any other casino. What other criteria do they have by the way?

977  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What do you think About the Shifting of Bitcoin ETF Approval on: August 17, 2023, 03:55:41 PM

It got people excited about it since it's BlackRock. The delay is disappointing while they are already buying.
Now that they delay the decision to be on 2024, I guess they figure it's too early to decide this year and it doesn't coincide with the 4-year cycle of bull run. SEC must have planned all these as well so we are right on time still.

BTC Futures Market approval on coinbase however was approved but it plunged the market down. This is how it affects the market when it's related to the Futures market compared to Spot ETF.
978  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Dreaming That I'm Playing In A Casino, Do You Have One, on: August 17, 2023, 03:25:06 PM
How about you have you experienced dreaming that you are playing in a casino, is this alarming to you?
I think we all know that dreams aren't real and it's just a dream, even though in reality many people may dream of playing in a land casino, where we know in their country it's very illegal so it's difficult to play in a land casino with friends, People are more comfortable using online casinos than land based casinos for now because it is safer even though it is illegal in the country itself.

I may have had the occasional dream where I was accompanied by a woman playing gambling and I won several games as well as a lot of money, but after waking up a little disappointing and realizing it was all just a dream, I still woke up and realized that such a dream is not a sign of addiction or anything , let's just say it's just ordinary sleeping flowers.  Cheesy

I think dreams are thoughts that keep running in the mind of someone and then manifested in the dreams. Kinda like the dream of losing your virginity to the hottest girl in the school and you got the best wet dream of your life the next night.  Happens to me when I kept thinking of the girl that got away Cheesy

Maybe OP has the goal of winning the highest multiplier in dice and wanna apply it on the real land-based casino.  It has a profound effect on you when you remember the dream you dream.
979  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Dreaming That I'm Playing In A Casino, Do You Have One, on: August 16, 2023, 08:22:22 PM

I do have a similar experience but in my dream, I have been playing chess. Seem an addiction at one point that even when I'm walking on the mall, the tiles I see on the patio are black and white chess board and I often hop like a knight. No shit  Grin  I'm not worried since I'm not losing money but during that time I think I'm losing my mind.

Dreaming of gambling I guess is somewhat the same as addiction in my opinion. You are unconsciously showing what you wanted to do with your time and its manifested in your dreams.
980  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Next Bitcoin Bull Run: Is It Tied to the Next Halving? on: August 16, 2023, 08:06:23 PM

You are right about unpredictability but it's always tied to halving. The bull run either starts months before or close to its date and after a year the bear market also starts just as we always experienced in the past. This year however is seem early because we hit $30k while it's just early 2023 while halving is next year.

If we reach $40k by this year, it's really going to be what they speculate to be a super cycle. Hoping or it to happen.
