961  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Your ultimate choice? on: August 27, 2022, 08:23:15 PM
So, guys what will be your choice from these coins and why? Any specific reason? - BCH, AXS, EOS, BTC, ETH

I don't need to think to answer this question.  It is obvious that the ultimate choice for me is BTC.  With limited small supplies, established community, millions of users and being accepted to several countries, BTC will be my ultimate choice.
962  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Are Meme coins going to make it to the next bull market? on: August 26, 2022, 03:19:41 PM
With the current development and partnership for real life use, few of the Meme coins seems to make it to the next bull market. Aside from that, it is also possible that once the bull market arrive, there will be lots of meme coins joining the cryptocurrency market.  We had observed it in the last years so it is very possible that the same thing with meme coin sprouting everywhere will happen during the bull market.
963  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Still into high APY projects? on: August 26, 2022, 03:00:50 PM
What's the end of those high APY projects with 99,000% returns? The likes of Helena and others? I haven't heard about them in a while, the last time I checked they have no volume on exchanges anymore..

It looks like the project cannot sustain the market price of the token since the high inflation of token saturated the market making its value to collapse.  With a collapsed market value, investors will not be interested because there is nothing to do to a worthless token no matter how huge the holdings is.  So this kind of project will eventually die and be forgotten.
964  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Common Types of Bonuses Offered by Online Casinos on: August 26, 2022, 02:14:54 PM
Does anyone remember the simple and clean giveaway bonus? It was offered by at least one casino as far as remember, at 'games and rounds' sub-board of gambling forum section and all you had to do was to claim it once a day on the respective forum thread. No restrictions, no impositions and no tricks were imposed on gamblers in order to enjoy the benefit. It worked more like a faucet. I believe it was even possible to just accumulate all your claimed satoshis and cashout, for those who didn't want to risk their earnings, but since it has been so long, I can't remember exactly.

I seldom visit the games and round sub board, so I have no idea that such airdrop exist.  If only I have known it, I would have indulge myself in acquiring those free satoshis.

And promo codes, what kind of bonus it is?
The promo codes could vary from the casino, I remember seeing one casino share their promo codes that are similar to a welcome bonus, or sometimes it's a combo of welcome bonus and freespins.

There are also promo codes that are in the form of cashable bonuses where you can claim the codes if you've been wagering in the past few days or weeks.

I think most crypto casinos have promo codes... on BC.game they are called shitcodes, they share it on their forum and telegram/discord as well, also you can't claim it if you are not some higher level, for example, there are shitcodes just for +70 levels. You can find "Shitcode" icon on the left side, where you can redeem the codes you have! Wolf has the same thing, you can find it on the VIP tab "Bonus codes", I got one in the mail... and many others are doing the same thing, usually you need some higher level to be able to claim those promo codes!

I think the same goes with promo code of Stake.  They always release bonus code but it requires an insane amount of wagering requirement.  Small time gambler won't be able to get that bonus code because a player need to wager at least $3k in previous 7 days.  But to be fair, they have this reload bonus that  happens every week that lasted for 3 or 4 days.  It often comes with 10 minute cool down reload bonus or 1 day cooldown reload bonus.
965  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: CRYPTO IS NOT A GET RICH QUICK SCHEME on: August 25, 2022, 07:48:38 PM
There are testimonies about people getting rich overnight or over the weekend when they get involved in cryptocurrency.  Like people who are quick enough to invest in a pump and dump project.  They maybe shit project but we cannot deny the fact that pioneer investors get 1000x+ profit.  I don't say it is good, but that is how the altcoin market move.  Sadly, those who are late in the party suffers a huge loss in this kind of crypto project.

What I mean is there is always two side of the story, one can say it is a get rich quick because they earn 1000x to 10kx profit during the shitcoin venture while many have lost trying to duplicate those success story and lost a lot instead.
966  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Decision time on: August 25, 2022, 07:31:48 PM
I have a plan to buy 10,000 Doge coin but at the same time I cant take my eye of Fantom, if you are in my shoe which one would you go for and why? Also has anyone heard about doge chain project? A friend talked about this and I want to ask.

Just buy both to save you from trouble of regretting something when time comes.  It is also good to diversify your investment so that you can avoid a 100% loss if something bad happened to the project you invest with.

Btw, if you are curious about Doge chain better read what Nutildah has to say with it.

Aside from being entertaining in a trainwreck sort of way, its garbage. I wouldn't touch it. Every single token that has been launched on it rugged their buyers within 24 hours -- some as little as 2 hours. It is all scams. There's no doubt their "utility token" will end the same way. On top of that, there's a good chance the bridge holding everybody's DOGE (real DOGE) will get mysteriously "hacked" and drained. I'd give this event a year, tops. It could happen in the next month, even.

The founders (Roc Zacharias) approached Dogecoin community members and the Dogecoin Foundation in April. Everyone told him that using the name "Dogechain" was a bad idea, and most people thought it was a bad idea in general. For one, there is already a long-time DOGE explorer named dogechain.info. Number two, they hired some of the most scammer-esque influencers to shill their project (Matt Wallace, ProTheDoge... every single token they get behind is a scam). Three, they dropped the "w" from their bridge wDOGE and now just call it "Doge."

Everything they do is an attempt to confuse people into thinking any of it has to do with Dogecoin (it does not), and everything else about this project screams "scam." I recommend staying away from it.

967  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: 12 years ago mined 50 Bitcoin just moved on: August 24, 2022, 04:12:29 PM
To have 50 bitcoins untouched for so long requires patience. And money too, because I can't imagine someone having trouble making ends meet and having 50 bitcoins untouched. Another possibility is someone who somehow lost their private keys and found them again or something like that.

Or he probably forgot that he mined Bitcoin years ago, dump his PC somewhere on the attic when he upgrade, and realized that he had some BTC on the stash that he mined 12 years ago.  Look for his hardrive and took time to decipher his wallet password since he forgot where he save the keys to it.

It's always the same with Satoshi. When old bitcoins are moved, there is always speculation that it is him, but I don't think he is going to touch the first bitcoins he mined.

I do not think that the person is Satoshi, I think he is some random guy who happen to mine BTC for fun and forgot about it.

969  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Gambling Myths that we often hear on: August 14, 2022, 07:20:09 PM
Sorry if it has been mentioned previously but I think there are some gamblers who believe that there is a specific time when they get more wins or more loses.
I believe it is a myth because I dont think there is a specific time to have better winning chance or to get worst winning chance.
What I believe is that there is a best time to gamble, when is it? It is a when we are ready to take any result.
To be honest, this is a myth that is still being debated in my head

I met a gambler who mostly won and they said that gambling doesn't require the right time, they gamble because they really like it and winning is not the main reason they gamble

while those who gamble based on time mostly end up losing, therefore, I am becoming increasingly confused about what each gambler should actually do so that they can minimize losses

If you don't want losses, avoid gambling, or if you want to try the experience of playing slots, you can try the fun token mode gameplay.  If you want to gamble and wanted to minimize your losses, play moderately and responsibly.  That way you can allocate minimal funds for your gambling activities.

Definitely it is a myth.  Like for example in a sports betting,  In a match between Team A and Team B, betting in A on Monday morning and betting in A on Sunday afternoon bears the same result.  That is a simple proof that there is a specific time for gambling to be lucky is a myth.
971  Economy / Gambling / Re: Bitcasino.io 🖤 #LiveTheDream on: August 13, 2022, 04:30:31 PM
Maybe if their selling target is above $50k, they can still hold it but who knows when the price will rise. So yeah, deciding on when to sell or buy can be tricky sometimes Grin

With Bitcoin if you are in for a long run then buying won't be an issue.  Same goes with selling since you won't concern yourself with the current price since we are in for a long term.  Those who day trade or short term investors are very much concern about the entry and exit points of Bitcoin trade since they don't intend to hold for that long and they wanted to gain profit at the shortest span of time.

About the Bitcoin price prediction contest, it is a bit tricky now that another large company jump into Bitcoin wagon.  This might bring a possible short term hype, or put more demand to the Bitcoin market that will make a small rally for Bitcoin market.
972  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Your General Feeling After Playing In Casino In the last 10 session on: August 12, 2022, 05:18:39 PM
I am entertained, it might be a rough thing for me since I have my series of losses in the last 10 session but I can't deny that I was really entertained.  It was very entertaining because I explore varieties of slots checking how they works in every gambling session I did.
973  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Japanese Animation Slot Machines on: August 12, 2022, 04:16:17 PM
I think that slots with Japanese characters or manga will not be famous outside of Japan because these characters are familiar to a very narrow circle of people. In my opinion, to increase interest in slots, you should use more well-known characters or use a neutral theme that suits anyone regardless of where they live, interests, age, etc.

There are millions of anime fans all over the world.  I do not think that the fanbase are too narrow or just a small circle for this theme.

Just look at this statistics and see it yourself how huge the audience of anime is. So I think it is not a waste to have an anime themed slots.

Take note China is not included there since Chinese government puts up strict regulations on anime and I am sure there are lots of Chinese anime lover.
974  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Best time to play Slot on: August 12, 2022, 03:10:44 PM
If a person is into bonus hunting then what OP stated make sense, holidays, start of the month, mid month, end of the month are often times coupled with bonuses that a player can take advantage of.  But honestly, I prefer to play slots when I have free time and free money to spend.  Because for me, anytime is the best time to play slot as long as we both have the time and extra money for playing.
975  Economy / Gambling / Re: The History Of Gambling. on: August 11, 2022, 08:14:02 AM
All right!  It is impossible to ban gambling for two reasons.  Firstly, the very nature of people inclines them to the curiosity and excitement of the pioneers and, of course, the desire of everyone to win.  Secondly, those people or organizations that arrange gambling, of course, make money on it.
The result is the interaction of these parties, which is not able to overcome the prohibitions of different religions, much less the prohibitions of legislators and governments.
Therefore, the history of gambling is inextricably linked with the history of the development of the entire civilization.

It is not impossible to ban gambling.  If the government wanted to ban gambling, they can ban it promptly.  Even history can show you that gambling can be ban.  Ancient Rome ban gambling, China ban gambling, and many other government especially those with Muslim religions ban gambling.  Gambling  can easily be ban but it cannot be stopped.  People will find way to engage in gambling activity eve if it is illegal.
976  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Canelo vs Golovkin 3 - September 17 on: August 11, 2022, 07:55:46 AM
And I think it's all about the power, those guy are natural heavy, so heavy handed as well. It will be something in the catch weight but still it's not a sure thing for Canelo to win at Cruiserweight and yeah, probably the same result, going to be L for him with the big Makabu.

So now, let's just enjoy him and GGG next month, if he get passed GGG and win, let's see if he wanted to go to Light heavyweight again and go after Bivol for a rematch or stay in 168 lbs but there will be no challenges for him.

Well, there is no other way but to enjoy the upcoming fight of Canelo and GGG.

But, It would really a challenge for Canelo if he moves up to cruiserweight because of the weight and possible power disadvantage.  Those at the heavier weight can receive much stronger punches so the ability of Canelo to knockdown his opponent will be tested if he moves up in weight division.  Not because he is a Knock out artist in the lower weight means he will be the same when he climbs the weight.  We have seen several boxers to have difficulty in knocking their opponent even though they are devastating in their previous weight division.

978  Economy / Economics / Re: Top Crypto Heist as of to Date, Are your Fund in peril? on: July 27, 2022, 12:35:38 PM
So if this developers are pro-active enough to QA their code and ask a 3rd party to check if everything is right and there are not point that the hackers can exploit, maybe it will lessen how they stole in crypto space.

Most of the recent altcoin especially those that offers staking are checked by third party code checker but still many of them are exploited and lost a lot of money.  So I don't think those third party code checker are really capable.  If they are then the only possibility is that the project hack themselves to exit scam their investors.

980  Bitcoin / Development & Technical Discussion / Re: BIP47 Is it the Privacy Codes Bitcoin Users Need? on: July 16, 2022, 04:54:23 AM
Thank you for the reply, so this code does not enhance Bitcoin privacy transaction but rather it only act as mask to the original address?

As I read the GitHub wiki of bip47 this kind of motivation concern me
Quote
Payment codes provide the privacy benefits of Darkwallet-style Stealth Addresses to SPV clients without requiring the assistance of a trusted full node and while greatly reducing reliance on blockchain storage.

Since this code does not promote reliance on blockchain and trusted full node, could this code be subject to fraud and scam?
