1  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Casino/gambling center near an institution of learning? on: June 13, 2024, 03:32:09 PM
20 years ago, the education department in my country announced they would not allow internet cafes close to the school because it's attracting boys to stay there, not attend school anymore.  It's almost the same issue. Boys will be more interested in gambling too. Worse, they don't eat lunch money but just gamble there in the nearby casino and forget schooling.
2  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Tank Davis Vs Frank Martin WBA Lightweight Title June 22 HoustonTexas on: June 12, 2024, 02:54:29 PM
So far I can't find any statement from Tank Davis why he was a no-show against Frank Martin here. And I don't think he should have any excuses whatsoever to miss it because as far I know, it's on their contract to be on there in every promotion. So not sure how it will be on his contract or what will be the consequences.

Now, everyone is questioning Tank's focus on this fight, is he really on this fight mentally?

How about ring rust? And if he is not 100% in this fight we might see an upset.

Surprisingly a lot of people think Tank will lose this fight regardless of the skills he has. Not sure also why he didn't show crazy stuff happening in sports even the biggest stars that always want the camera focused on them are not showing up like Conor. Maybe Tank is not interested in the Freedom Belt? Grin

Tank just cutting the distance between them, it will already send Frank down the canvas. Frank gotta keep running that's what will happen.
3  Economy / Economics / Re: Hyperinflation - Will it lead Countries to Adopt Bitcoin? on: June 11, 2024, 05:40:29 PM
Hyperinflation is a severe form of inflation that causes a country's currency to rapidly lose value. Bitcoin can be attractive during hyperinflation because it has a limited supply & is not subject to government control. Adopting Bitcoin as a national currency requires careful consideration of regulations, tech & public acceptance. We’ve already seen El Salvador doing well after adopting Bitcoin as legal tender & buying themselves, more will inevitably follow.

If all countries get into a state of hyperinflation, they will be forced to abandon their currencies as well. But most probably they will take the USD as their currency as it is safer which is why El Salvador also took USD as their currency while also declaring BTC as legal tender.

This has to take place together, it's easier for people to adopt when USD is their base currency. Adopting BTC will be the challenging part that's why their government giveaway $30 in BTC to those who install their Bitcoin wallet. I think he was hoping that it could kickstart the adoption.
Global currency reset seems crazy, but it's not as easy as everyone buying USD. Although the dollar has been dominant for a time, it is not invincible. Due to money printing craziness, hyperinflation may soon hit the dollar

Salvador adopting Bitcoin? Quite bold, guy. They realize a decentralized currency like Bitcoin might revolutionize the world in a debt-ridden planet. Bitcoin is a mindfuck for some, but the potential is immense. Not only is the $30 giveaway important, but it also gives people power with a currency that bigwigs can't change. The USD may appear safe, but don't overlook Bitcoin. Long game, but it could be the biggest financial shakeup ever
I agree with you . Dollar look like safe but USA banks prints 20 percent Dollars of the circulated dollars , the price of dollar will go down and people will prefer crypto currency because the future of cryptocurrency is very bright and after the 20 to 30 years , cryptocurrency will be use to pay bills,to pay for accessories and to get the food for living. In that era , cryptocurrency has been used as a investment and only intelligent people invested in this because to invest in this ,you should have knowledge how to buy the Bitcoin and how to convert the Bitcoin into dollars and how to convert into your own currency. In future, next generation will be more advance than us and they will use cryptocurrency as currency and they will buy living things by Bitcoin.

Well, the countries affected by inflation will prefer the USD since its value will still be higher if they convert USD to their local currency. Using the USD will still make sense after all they will rely on the most traded currency. It may not be the cash but digital USD since we are going digital anyway. but it is also easier to adopt Bitcoin when it's all digital.
4  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Casino companies' responsibilities to rehabilitation institutions on: June 10, 2024, 02:45:08 PM

....
I have never seen a gambler addicted in a special place for recovery, i don't even think that exists.

you never see it doesn't mean it doesn't exist right? in my neighborhood there is a rehabilitation center and there are 3 patients who are addicted to gambling and they are quite aggressive in asking to gamble.

Why don't they let the 3 addicts gamble for a while and just bet on their meals? Kind of harsh I know.
But I think this should make them responsible in the end, imagine not eating a meal because they lose. The consequences of their actions make them suffer, which should open their eyes to why they should start realizing what gambling did to them.
5  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Is web3 casino the new trend for casinos? on: June 09, 2024, 04:32:05 AM

Which voided the difference in making web3 casinos as they still are going to be regulated and will ask KYC documents still. Not only that but it also puts the user's funds at higher risk upon connecting their wallets to the casino which we know there are cases of hacks.
6  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: (Odds discussion) Would you still stick in your favorite casino if....? on: June 08, 2024, 06:10:16 AM
It depends on how often you see that kind of difference. But most of the time, the odds are very close to just a decimal 0.05-0.10. There is not much difference IMO. But to some of us here who apparently use altcoins to bet, it may be a big factor in choosing which betting site.
7  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Jake Paul to Fight Mike Tyson in Live Netflix Boxing Event - July 20 on: June 07, 2024, 04:46:43 PM
No one can replace the popularity of Mike. They really wanted to make Mike vs Jake happen and they are willing to wait until Mike is okay again. Yep, people will still be interested in this fight despite the long wait. They'll just have to hope Mike is not going to get worse. The hype continues then.  Grin

Damn! that's a slick skill you have there.  Grin
So you mean you are just Jonah Hill in the Money Ball movie who looks at the stats and determines skills and which team?

I bet on some upsets as well, didn't turn out well for me. I have some kind of comparison to some players but depends on which sports we are up to.
I guess you're right, my first thought about this was Rain Man but it seems apt that it's Money Ball. I mean there's probably a consistency in terms of how some players do their thing, you can track them really easy and if you've got the time to analyze a lot of factors, you can easily do it, what I mean by many factors is that you need to consider also how players do during a certain time in the game, the way they synergize with other players is also a big factor, there's so many that it will hurt your brain if you're not good at it.

You'd be a great bettor when you see some skills that are overlooked at some point and when deployed correctly you can see the game can overturn. Sadly as just as gamblers we have zero chance to decide which players can play in the first quarter to the last. The only we can bet on is team vs team. But this kind of skill must be useful in analyzing Boxing or MMA, maybe you can even predict how the fight will play out or which round the fight will end.
9  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Conor Mcgregor VS Michael Chandler 💥🥊💥 on: June 06, 2024, 07:56:15 AM

I don’t think this fight is happening. They cancelled it. According to Dana White Conor injured his shin during a sparring match and will be unable to fight. Whether or not they reschedule it I believe is an unknown, but with Conor having a fresh injury right before his comeback, I think we may never see Conor in the cage ever again.

If Conor comes out without injury and the fight still happens, this must be the oddest way to promote the fight. He use to talk shit all the time to promote every match he made. But seeing he is out of shape, out of training, he likely can't last 1 round of rumble this is not an easy fight for him and he knows it. He wil be ridiculed by MMA fans if he loses against Michael Chandler by KO.

12  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Gambling push notifications. on: June 05, 2024, 07:11:33 AM

Disable that notification. It's always in the settings. and if possible just use a throwaway gmail account or simply just use something else like protonmail. Classifying those emails as spam isn't even necessary anymore if you are just using an email that you don't care whatever is going into it.  Casinos can modify the user's settings by the way, I have seen it myself when I unsubscribed but after a few months, I received some emails from them which is just like a notification.
13  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: How do you understand entertainment? on: June 04, 2024, 08:29:54 AM

Or maybe entertainment for you is something else?
There is no other meaning other than being happy with what you are doing  (being entertained). But our emotions mix it up and instead, we entertain ourselves by gambling, it becomes a reason for our regrets and disappointments.

I believe that gambling was for entertainment before but now, it is nothing. Why? People gamble for the sake of money, not for the sake of having enjoyment. That is the sad reality but yes, gamblers often change because of their needs and they think that gambling is the answer to their financial problems.

But entertainment is also defined by an entity that wants you to be entertained. For a casino to give you entertainment, they define this entertainment as a cash cow in exchange for your money.

Money is still the goal to be entertained. A person works 9-5 a day and goes home to watch TV for entertainment before sleeping is still entertainment. It depends on how you look at it.
14  Economy / Speculation / Re: BTC Sentiment Poll for June on: June 03, 2024, 06:38:41 PM

We're going up already. While stock markets are likely to go down and the election is approaching, I think more and more people are aware of BTC existence and people are buying.

And the Halving I think is going to take effect already since more and more institutions are getting into ETFs. We might be hitting $80k and then another dip for a bit and then resume the bull market again.
15  Economy / Economics / Re: What happened with Berkshire Hathaway on Stock market? on: June 03, 2024, 04:22:32 PM
Warren dumping it all!  Something must have happened like Warren's replacement as it sometimes happens when a company is suddenly under a new management.  For a big company owned by a renowned reputable person to start doing something like this, the shit must have hit the fan.

I'm already eager to hear whether Warren is promoting Bitcoin and is planning to meet Justin Sun to ask if Justin knows the password to his BTC wallet. Grin
16  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 🥊 The UFC Info and Prediction Thread on: June 03, 2024, 03:41:44 PM
Strickland Vs Costa wasn't as much of a dog fight as expected but was still OK. Costa had a good tactic of getting out of Sean's way and chopping him with those calf kicks, but he needed to take a risk and go all in in the last rounds, but that just didn't happen as he was just too gassed out.
~

You liked Costa vs Strickland fight? I personally dont. There were better fights in the card. In their fights I saw that Strickland mostly threw jabs and front kick (leg jab lol). And only in last round fighters switched on fighting mode. For me it was a boring UD by Strickland. In fact, wtf is with Costa? He used to be a brutal 1 round finisher, pumped beast that attacks from very start. Now his fights are long lasting fights, decision>decision>decision...

I find it boring as well. I guess the 4 inch reach advantage of Strickland made it hard for Costa to land some punches all throughout the fight.

The leg-up defense is very effective in making Costa back away every time. This leg-up defense can also be a counterkick making Costa think twice. This is the same strategy he is doing but outboxed Izzy as well. It's boring, Sean is always pushing Costa to the corner so his jabs are more effective that his opponent can't move away.

What bothers me is the judge that scored 49-46 in favor of Costa.

That judge is influenced by Rogan. Rogan has been making comments over hyping Costa like Sean is about to go down.

18  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Jake Paul to Fight Mike Tyson in Live Netflix Boxing Event - July 20 on: June 01, 2024, 02:55:11 PM

So many updates some come from influencers saying the fight is just postponed and some are saying it's cancelled. Until the news says final and it comes from Joke Paul himself I guess we can close this thread. The majority of the info I found is from Xitter who keeps telling the fight is just being rescheduled.

So far is there will be a poll asking whether the fight will push through or not, I think most of the votes will be cancelled. They don't want MKike to fight actually.
19  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Best guide amd step to learn to buy and trade on: May 31, 2024, 05:29:03 AM

You just have to understand how the market works so you can buy BTC. You could even come up a strategy when you understand the market.

Understand that there is a pool or buyers and pool of sellers inside an exchange and that where you will try to chose which price you going to take when you want to buy. The cheapest is likely the one that you need to find in the orderbook type of exchange.
20  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2024 U.S. Presidential Election Bets! on: May 31, 2024, 05:15:31 AM

I thought the odds are going to change faster than we could open the site but the odds are just fine. Trump's verdict of being guilty is crazy. Things like this only happen in third-world countries or Venezuela. When the sitting president imprisons the rival, it's usually the case of democracy.

Never in their wildest imagination that Trump suicide is possible. But it might just be.
