1921  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Sport's betting experience on: January 08, 2022, 01:04:52 PM

Well, generally, if you found that strategy effective to you then you are good to go.

Obviously, there are no safe bets so don't expect a lessen risks when placing a bet even involving a sure Favorites or not. There will really be a time that you need that strategy of yours and see if that's effective in the long run.

Good luck and hope your insight will be effective for long.

I've done betting on my favorites consistently and found out that that strategy isn't that effective because our favorites couldn't continuously win all the time. However, it still gives contentment despite the ineffectiveness. There's really no specific technique or strategy in sports betting because things will depend on the strength of the players.
1922  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Ripple makes a $1 price bull set for 2022 on: January 07, 2022, 10:38:13 PM
As the entire market is in the recovery mode but a slow stage, Ripple one of the most active coins in the last couple of weeks back has made it to All-time high of $1, coin telegraph made the revelation on the news platform this afternoon.
https://cointelegraph.com/news/bitcoin-price-flatlines-as-xrp-hits-1-with-massive-altcoin-move-set-for-2022

1$ is so easy for XRP to reach. I actually believe that it could strike higher than 1usd this year since it already built a good reputation and is trusted by most investors despite its previous issue with sec. It isn't a bullish season yet it could reach the 1$ easily since its price rages quite lower than that.
1923  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Is SLP really a scam coin? on: January 07, 2022, 08:17:07 PM
As for me, no, it isn't a scam but just like other coins, it also facing its bearish situation. The main problem is the unlimited supply of a coin without the right burning mechanism. Developers are taking too long to release the new version of the game so there would be SLP burning. If there would be a continuous and unlimited supply, I'm sure that the coin would continuously drop its price.
1924  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Too much of new crypto projects? on: January 07, 2022, 03:15:07 PM
It has been happening for a very long time and I think it's something that we shouldn't bother about because we can't control the existence of new projects who are also aiming to be on top just like successful coins. Lots of people behind those new projects are just aiming for success so we should accept and deal with the newly listed coins because that's part of crypto cycle.
1925  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Sportsbet.io Betting discussion thread rev on: January 07, 2022, 02:47:39 PM
I also take my rewards in cash back now because when I did take the free bets there is usually a match that gets postponed or cancelled so it voids the entire bet so I ended up losing it because of that.
Currently at silver gets around $5 in mbtc for each one when I progress through the ranks.

I used to take free bets as well but since they often postponed matches, I also switched to cash back. I find it better than losing the free bets or spins that I have. So far, I find cashback more useful this time. I also find the rewards justifiable this time, especially for higher ranks.
1926  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: When Greed Comes First in Trading, the Result is Bankruptcy on: January 07, 2022, 02:26:13 PM
Greed and uncontentment are the reasons why we lose a lot in trading. We're always advised to take control of our emotions so it wouldn't control us because sometimes, too much excitement and aiming for more than what we deserve could only result in regrets. As for me, it's fine to aim higher but we should also know our limits especially if it's beyond our skills or the capability of the coin that we're investing with.
1927  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Don't bet more than you can afford to lose. on: January 07, 2022, 12:26:34 PM

If my expense is $2000 or more a month then I do not have spare money to take fun from gambling.

If I have spare money (considering the spend is less than $2000) then I would like to save some money for investment but sometimes I may want to have fun with gambling too. In this case, if I lose then it's gone from the particular month but if I win then I can add some extra with the investments I do using the spare money.

Gambling IMO adds to anxiety rather than giving you fun feelings. Imagine what fun you will get if you gamble and lose 100$ on a weekend night? It's better to do some other stuff for fun like dining out, going on one day trip rather than doing gambling. Not many like me understand this unless they lose big in gambling.

You should be emotionally prepared once you enter gambling. we're always advised to gamble what we could afford to lose so we'll never feel depressed once we lose since that's a part of the game. Lossing is part of gambling and we should be ready for it because gambling isn't about winning all the time. For some people, gambling is a stress reliever and source of entertainment.
1928  Other / Archival / Re: Are Banks afraid of Crypto adoption? on: January 06, 2022, 03:44:20 PM
Bankers are thieves who have been fleecing off the people for ages and today a better alternative than they offer is here, they are scared they won't be able to keep up with their extravagant lifestyle hence condemn crypto and fight it, Someone should educate them they have lost the war already. You can't stop a technological advancement.
banks are very afraid of crypto adoption. Banks are legal loan sharks that have been approved by the government for hundreds of years

when the cryptocurrency has been adopted, the bank function is completely absent anymore. or maybe banks now will become a place to store crypto assets

the conclusion is that banks should accept cryptocurrencies and try to make them survive and exist in the future, there's no point fighting crypto

Cryptocurrency has always been a threat to banks especially now that lots of people are getting more comfortable in using it because of the convenience that it provides as a currency and its profit as an investment. We all know the capability of cryptocurrency to take down banks but they wouldn't allow it as well as the government because they couldn't regulate it. Banks will be banks but crypto is a big threat that might replace them in the future if there would be more adoptions that would happen.
1929  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: If you have a chance to become a VIP what casinos will those be on: January 06, 2022, 11:03:13 AM
There are things that we have to consider in picking a casino and to be honest, being has VIP is a huge advantage. I would personally choose Stake and Duelbits because of the promotions and perks that they offer to VIP members. These casinos are also trusted and reputable so I do not doubt that being a VIP member would be safe and fun at the same time. I just hope that being a VIP would be easier for everyone to reach.
1930  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Could Gambling Legalization be a positive thing for Brazil? on: January 06, 2022, 08:44:00 AM
I believe Brazil could benefit from the tax revenue, however going by the current government of Brazil and how they use the taxes they gather from the people, I severly doubt that they will put the gambling tax revenue to any good use. If anything it will land in the pockets of politicians and other corrupt people. As far as the legalization of gambling goes, it might be a good thing but I don't currently see how.

Our country has legalized gambling because of the taxes that they could get from it but the taxes are actually another source of corruption and the corrupt officers are the ones who benefit from it. I think the Brazil government is also trying to get rid of the possible effect of gambling legalization in their country. It might also cause gambling addiction which could ruin lots of lives but I also believe that they would legalize gambling in time.
1931  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Big Wins of 2021 ($550,000+) on: January 06, 2022, 03:15:15 AM
Such big winnings and it seems like you're too dedicated and enjoy what you're doing, Op. I hope that more players would also be lucky as you. I'm also one of those who are hoping to have this kind of inspiring post in the future. Whatever your strategy is, I'm sure that it's too effective and I wish that you could share a bit of it as well.
1932  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Don't bet more than you can afford to lose. on: January 06, 2022, 02:45:49 AM
We always read the words "Don't bet more than you can afford to lose", but are we really following that safe principle in gambling?

So, I have a question here, if you are earning like $2000 a month, how much are you willing to gamble that you think you can afford to lose?
Please use the amount as a basis for your answer.

As for my way of living, 5% would be enough to allocate to gambling. I've been applying that principle for a long time because if not, I will be the one who will regret it in the end. It's just a matter of self-control and self-discipline. It's fine to enjoy gambling but we should know our limits and just spend the amount that we allocated on it.
1933  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: prediction betting platform pros and cons? on: January 04, 2022, 01:57:07 PM
It's exciting though it also has a huge risk. Some might say that it could only be a pure business but it's something to look forward to when it comes to the latest gambling trend but I hope that they could adjust the odds and make everything fair for players.  It also needs specific in their instructions and polishes all the possible lapses.
1934  Economy / Economics / Re: Advice for the season. on: January 02, 2022, 05:24:10 PM
Don't bend to societal pressure of overspending during this festive season, make serious plans for the celebrations and the coming year, Don't fall into the trap or bend to the pressure of selling off a percentage of your cryptos to spend this festive season, a new year is coming. January is usually a long month that carries along a lot of expenses, make plans and preparations now for tomorrow, spend wisely today.

This is good advice especially for those who are spending too much every holiday season without thinking about the possible things that might happen in the future. Instead of spending, it would be better to save and invest so we'll have something to gain by the middle or the end of the year. It's fine to have a bountiful celebration but we should also know our limits.
1935  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: My Investing Coin on: January 02, 2022, 04:22:21 PM
If you're planning to hold these coins for the long term then there would be a huge risk because most of them are just carried by the hype just like Doge but yes, they're good for a short-term hold. As for me, it's still better to invest with well-established coins just like coins that are on top so you would have an assurance of good profit in time.
1936  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Millennial trading formula on: January 02, 2022, 03:30:19 PM
I don't think there's a new formula for beginners these days because the market flow is still the same except for more adoptions and investors that came in. I think the strategy still depends on every individual's choice and there's no specific technique being applied to Millenials or the younger generation. The strategies that we used to know are still applicable these days.
1937  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Which trading strategy would be a good start for new traders? on: January 02, 2022, 02:50:11 PM
Here's the answer:
1. Depends on you.
2. Depends on you.
3. Depends on you.

There's no good or bad answer since it's really depends on the coin you bought and timing. Let's say you bought new listed coins, when the price multiply x100 in a day you'll sell it and then thought short term trading is good. While when you bought Bitcoin, the price dropped in a day but you continued to hold until 1 month. After a month the price increase +20% then you'll sell it and call long term trading is good. Don't forget you may lose in both strategies too.

I certainly agree with this. The strategy that you would apply will still depend on you as well as your skills. If you're having a hard time deciding on what to do, then try to apply at least the basic strategy of trading which is to buy low and sell high. Trading is a long process of learning, you couldn't pick any specific strategy unless you research or study everything about it. I would suggest that you acquire more knowledge for you to apply strategies easier.
1938  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Coins with a potential like the Ethereum. on: January 02, 2022, 02:20:58 PM
There are actually lots of good coins that could also reach the achievements of Ethereum. Coins like BNB, BCH, and ADA are some of the potential coins for me. When it comes to transactions, I would prefer BNB because of its cheaper fee and I guess that's the edge of other altcoins from ETH.
1939  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Future of Pi Coins on: January 02, 2022, 12:38:36 PM
A lot of people are complaining about this coin because the developers have promised that they would launch it by the end of 2021 yet nothing happened. This mining app has fooled lots of people and we never heard anything from the developers until now. It's also too good to be true to mine  free coins with the good value these days by just using mobile phones. This project is obviously a scam.
1940  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Gary Russell vs Mark Magsayo WBC Featherweight Title on: January 02, 2022, 11:56:44 AM
I do agree plus the fact that Russell is not so active inside the ring could bring him trouble against a hungry challenger in Magsayo.

Russell averages 1 fight per year it's only on this year, he doesn't have a fight. I don't think we can call Russell inactive for that. He doesn't rest for over 2 years that's why I don't take that inactivity this year as his disadvantage.

But as fellow PH, I'm looking forward to Magsayo winning. I hope him being hungry, will be the new champion on that big night.

His last fight was in February 2020, so that's almost 2 years already that he has not fought. Some boxers fought 2 to 3 times a year that's why some think that Russell is inactive due to his low fights average per year. And no doubt, everyone's rooting for the Filipino challenger to win and we are taking the underdog here.

That's really some inactivity, 2 years is a long layoff and yes, it could affect Russell negatively. Just look at how active Canelo is, fighting twice or even thrice if his schedule will permit. So for me this is a disadvantage for Russell. He may be quick but if you are inactive then maybe that speed will not be there, just saying so Magsayo has a good chance to beat Russell specially if he can land early on Russell and proved to him that he has a serious power and not just an easy comeback opponent for him.

That's a disadvantage to him but he is still the champion and we can't underestimate him. I don't like to be so hype with Magsayo, but his opponent here is a real champion and could beat him if he does not improve his skills in boxing. We all saw what happen during his last fight, we were disappointed in the early rounds but he finish it with a nice KO win.

Despite being a champion, he shouldn't still be too confident because Magsayo is preparing hard for this fight. 2 years is a long time rest for Russell so it might be the edge of Magsayo who has been continuously doing matches for years. The result is honestly quite unpredictable but I'm sure that this will be an exciting fight.
