1981  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Oscar Awards 2022 betting thread on: December 24, 2021, 10:47:00 AM
Was there even a good movie in 2021? I don't remember I watched any quality movies lately. Oscar awards lost its meaning long time ago. Seems to me they are trying to keep this tradition alive desperately. Since there aren't any decent movies, they are throwing the awards randomly now. Which means, you can't really come up with an educated guess.

I wasn't aware either but since there are already options I guess they're still worth watching. It's just that it didn't give us hype or noise so we didn't feel any excitement. However, let's see and check the options so we'll have an idea of where to bet. This is still exciting for Oscar's fans.
1982  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Real reasons to Why do you gamble? on: December 23, 2021, 05:11:38 PM
Mostly the reason was for fun but deep inside they will be trying their luck to win big amount of money for living. That is not bad reason since i do have a friend that is doing gambling for a living which i am really amazed. People have their own reason why do they gamble but i my self i do gamble for money at the same time fun because the adrenaline rush that you will be experiencing is very un explainable and also this is the only chance to win big and improve life

I agree with you. As much as I am having fun that’s why I keep staying to gamble from time to time, what makes it more enticing for me are the winning moments. I just want to be real that gambling has been made more fun for me because of the monetary rewards that I get whenever I gamble. And just like what you said, the chance to win big and instantly.

I stopped chasing after winnings, understanding all the risks of gambling and I play only for fun. Of course, I am always happy when I win even a small amount of money, but I have no hope that someday I will win so much money that I can change my life. I believe that gambling is more likely to change a gambler's life for the worse because the chances of winning big money are negligible.

My mindset before was to get rich in gambling until one day, I realized that I'm losing a lot of my funds that's allocated in gambling. From then on, I started to create a better mindset and that's not to rely everything on gambling and just have it for entertainment and fun. From then on, I started to enjoy what I was doing instead of putting too much stress on it. I'm now gambling to relieve stress and to enjoy my free time.
1983  Economy / Economics / Re: This what poor people need on: December 23, 2021, 01:49:35 PM
This strategy is easy to understand especially for people who are into crypto investment but to be honest, lots of poor people have a different mindset and some of them lack knowledge about crypto so I don't think they could easily apply or adapt this advice. Poor people will remain poor if they wouldn't handle their funds smartly.
1984  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Stake.com & responsible gambling? on: December 23, 2021, 01:07:53 PM
I'm sorry to hear about what happened but I hope that you'll recover from your losses soon. I'm also receiving updates and promotional emails from Stake.com but that's my choice. If you aren't comfortable receiving emails from them then just hit the unsubscribe button. Blocking them would also be your option but as for me, as long as you know how to gamble responsibly and you know how to put limits on things, you shouldn't get bothered by the emails that you're receiving from them.
1985  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Casino account ban cases on: December 23, 2021, 10:49:50 AM
In recent times several users from this forum have complained about the account being banned on most of the casinos, so am prompt to ask what caused this situation sometimes the fault is from the casino site, and other times it is from the user itself.

I haven't read any complaint regarding this matter but there are only two reasons for account banning, it's either the user's abuse or the site's just a scam. There are lots of shady sites these days but gamblers are now smarter for they know how to pick reputable gambling sites.
1986  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Errol Spence Jr vs. Yordenis Ugas 3-Belt Welterweight Unification Match on: December 22, 2021, 06:52:42 PM
Ugas had a fortunate fight against Manny last time but I guess he could still have the stamina to beat Spence this time. We've seen how wild and aggressive Ugas was. Some might underestimate him but I guess he's too determined to create a good record in this field. Spence is also hard to beat but I must say that this is a strong and perfect match.
1987  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Who’s who in the gambling subforum? on: December 22, 2021, 06:06:17 PM
Anyone could be an expert especially in giving opinions and predictions in different types of sports. However, having a list of trusted predictions would also be a big help especially if we're seeking good advice that would help us create a good decision. It's not that they're always right about their opinions but rather having enough knowledge about a certain sport. Their predictions could often guide us.
1988  Other / Off-topic / Re: First impressions on Craig Wright ( Satoshi Nakamoto ? ) on: December 19, 2021, 10:15:12 PM
The first time I've heard about Craig Wright, I started to feel suspicious about his actions. I already noticed that there's something wrong with his claims. He couldn't even provide proof and evidence that he's the real Satoshi which is necessary. As we all know, most of us always look for concrete evidence since there are already lots of people who are claiming to be Satoshi. Obvious lies have existed which is disappointing about Craig even his coin was suspicious for most people at that time.
1989  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Worst exchange you experience for trading on: December 19, 2021, 03:59:36 PM
There are lots of exchanges available in this crypto platform. Binance kucoin coinbase houbi and so many good exchange Where people keep trading daily. But apart from that, sometimes we need to use unknown exchange for trading. Some may good and some may bad. And thats what I'm looking for! Your selected worst exchange, may best for others but it doesn’t matter. Share the name of exchange which gave you worst trading experience, scam your fund, or sometimes else. Share, so that others can alert from it.

I was fortunate that I have chosen trusted exchanges and so far, I didn't experience any inconvenience with top exchanges. I was tempted to use new exchanges before due to curiosity but I was afraid to take the risks despite the rewards and promos that they're offering. It's still important that we'll do a series of research first before using a certain exchange so we'll never put our funds at risk.
1990  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Jake Paul vs Tyron Woodley 2 - December 18 on: December 19, 2021, 03:02:04 PM
Many people in social media say that this was a fake fight. Woodley wasnt as active as usually, he intentionally moved left arm down and ate that heavy punch. With all respect, Jake improved his boxing. That was a clean and nice punch. He moved back and landed a pefrect quick overhand. Many thought that Tommy Fury would easily beat Jake. But with boxing like that, Tommy would be in trouble.

I think people are saying such things simply because they didn't expect that Jake Paul would surprise everyone with his punches. It was too visible that he prepared hard and study how to counter every move being thrown by Woodley. Let's just accept the fact that even strong fighters could fall especially if the opponent is too determined to win.
1991  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Most Popular Cryptocurrencies Of 2021 on: December 19, 2021, 02:10:23 PM
Lots of altcoins have emerged this year but some of them didn't succeed in the long run. NFTs are the talk of the town this year but some of them were just carried by too much hype. Lucky are those who gained huge profit from it during the bull run. I'm sure that more coins would exist this coming year but top coins will always remain on top since they're more trusted.
1992  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Do you have any favorite superstititions when trading crypto on: December 19, 2021, 01:37:28 PM
Do you have any favorite superstitions when trading crypto
like for example if you get off the bed on the right side of the bed, your coins won't dump
wearing this color shirt keeps your portfolio in the green

I don't have any favorite superstitious belief in trading. I just simply don't trade when I'm hungry because that could affect my decisions negatively. I feel lucky whenever I trade when I'm happy. As for me, proper handling of our emotions is still the best strategy that we could have while trading.
1993  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: I have been scammed in pancackeswap telegram group on: December 19, 2021, 12:53:20 PM
Dear community. Has this also happened to anyone? I was trying to connect my trust wallet to  pancackeswap but it return error every time. Then I went to pancackeswap website and clicked a link to their telegram group and joined. I immediately received a phone call and I explained my problem. I was sent a link to troubleshoot the problem: www.app.walletimports.com and followed the procedure. I didn't know it was stealing my secret  key because I believed that pancackeswap is a reputable company. They stole my 0.055 BNB. Be careful with that telegram group.

How sure are you that you're on the right site? As we all know, Telegram is the usual platform that scammers are using nowadays so you should double-check every site that you're using. I'm sure that they asked for your personal information including your private keys. I guess it's a lesson learned for you. Being scammed is too frustrating but sometimes, it happens for a reason.
1994  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What is better to invest your funds in if the alt season starts? on: December 19, 2021, 10:28:28 AM
Let's imagine for a second that the alt season began in early 2022. What to do and in which market segment to invest your funds? NFT P2E or DeFi, or is it better to invest in tokens of promising blockchains like NEAR AVAX MATIC DOT ATOM?

I would prefer putting my funds in P2E so my investment would continue to earn a passive income but it would be better to look for a P2E game that has a good potential for a long-term goal. Investing with top coins is also my choice so I would have an assurance of a good profit in the future.
1995  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Bitstarz Need help getting my deposit back/credited on: December 19, 2021, 08:41:50 AM
Have you tried reaching out to their support regarding this matter? You should try to ask them about your deposit so there'll be a justifiable reason why your funds aren't reflected. If you didn't reach the minimum withdrawal, at least you'll have an idea about your mistake. I hope you could still manage to recover your unreflected funds.
1996  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Playing with dices on: December 18, 2021, 08:50:52 PM
It seems like you still need people who would try that strategy to see if it's effective but as for me, that still has a huge risk simply because we all know that dice is a luck-based game. There's still no definite proof that providing script and codes could assure an advantage so I guess just enjoying the whole game would be better.
1997  Economy / Economics / Re: Only 50% of the college Class of 2020 had full-time jobs 6 months post grad on: December 18, 2021, 05:06:22 PM
As someone who went to University I don’t find this surprisingly at all. I think about 50% or so of all my friends and classmates are not even in the same profession.

Most degrees are useless and you won’t have a career out of it. You won’t get a job when you graduate from Arts or Sciences, maybe unless you want to teach.

All the other degrees like law, engineering, etc are very competitive to get actually hired. There are more spots for students than there are jobs.

Some students didn't graduate yet become successful in life. As for me, it isn't all about the profession but skills. There are lots of high-paying jobs these days that don't require any professional attainment. Yes, having a degree is an advantage but since we're in the modern-day generation, we could easily acquire skills easily online and through other resources that could provide us a good job in the end.
1998  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: My coins percentage down on: December 18, 2021, 04:12:28 PM
Crypto wouldn't always strike high because it isn't always a bull run for most coins so you must expect corrections and a bearish thread because that's how altcoins move. Before investing, we're always advised to do our research simply because the market is volatile and certain changes could happen anytime and you must always be ready for that.
1999  Economy / Gambling / Re: How I managed to play Atari Casino before it was officially launched on: December 18, 2021, 03:50:44 PM
If we're interested in a certain site, it's normal to be impatient at times but we should still keep in mind that they also need to improve it by trial and error so we should wait for them to finalize it. As long as we aren't losing our funds, we should let them do things that would benefit both the site and the users. It's part of the site development and we should bear with it.
2000  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Tennis League All Thread on: December 18, 2021, 02:54:28 PM
Well its the rules of the Australian Open, they have a duty of care to try and keep players,
staff and spectators safe from infection.

With the government they have the same duty of care I imagine to try and manage the
potential demand on their health service, not just for COVID infections but the pressure
a potential outbreak can put on services for other staff and patients of the health service.

So while there might be 25% of Australians not vaccinated you can be sure they dont
have the same "freedom" as vaccinated people and as regards non-nationals Australia
always been quite strict, vaccinations is just another thing they want ant can control.
@aoluain It's not only the rules of the Australian Open because the last time I checked every sport setting has set up certain rules and regulations to prevent the spread of the virus within the sports realm.
Speaking of the vaccine, I know the unvaccinated people won't have the same freedom as the people that have got the vaccine but have you?

When it comes to social events and outlets yes the vaccinated have more freedom.

https://7news.com.au/lifestyle/health-wellbeing/queensland-covid-restrictions-on-unvaccinated-come-into-effect-what-are-the-rules-c-4979214

Quote
Venues where patrons must prove they are vaccinated include cafés, restaurants, pubs, clubs, RSL clubs, taverns, function centres, bars, wineries, distilleries, microbreweries, nightclubs, live music venues, karaoke bars, concerts, theatres, cinemas, bowling alleys, amusement arcades, casinos and other gambling venues, convention centres, adult entertainment venues (including strip clubs and brothels), stadiums, theme parks, tourism parks, zoos, aquariums, wildlife centres, showgrounds, music festivals, art festivals and cultural festivals

But this is about managing the health services and trying to reduce the impact on them
by the virus, sporting events particularly the AO which runs for a number of weeks will
have hundreds of thousands of footfall, they dont want people being infected there and
they certainly want the competition to run its course without further restrictions.
I understand that to prevent the spread of the virus some certain rules and restrictions is needed to be put in place in every activity that has to do with the outdoor but in terms of giving the vaccinated individual more freedom than those who haven't gotten the vaccine because we have some situation where people who are vaccinated contact the virus and the number way to stop the spread of the virus to good hygiene practices.
I haven't gotten the vaccine and I am not planning to not even when there's some issue of the vaccinated area lighting up a bulb.

Even vaccinated individuals could still catch and spread the virus which could also affect individuals who aren't receiving any dose of vaccine. As for me, there should be a fair right for everyone regardless of their vaccination status. It shouldn't be a privilege but rather a right for everyone to choose what they want. I think we could still enjoy different sports if we'll only try to apply and basic practices to avoid being infected.
