1841  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Still haven't sold a bit of BTC since 2013... if I can do it you can do it too! on: January 28, 2022, 02:37:38 PM
Hi everyone, it's been awhile, just wanted to tell you that I still haven't sold a bit of BTC since 2013... if I can do it you can do it too!

Some of you may say it's a dumb decision or risky, but I'm all for BTC and positive about it. To the Moon!

It's very easy, if you can afford it. Most people can't.

It's not easy because I'm not a rich person. But I dream to become one one day and this is what keeps me hodling. It's hard but doable.

I'm sure that it wasn't easy for you. You really have the patience to hold for such a long period. I hope everyone would have the same capability wherein there will be no need to spend your long time investment for your necessities. Not everyone has the same capability yet we could also have the courage to hold for a long time.
1842  Economy / Economics / Re: Buy Crypto Or Have Fun Staying Poor! on: January 28, 2022, 08:57:10 AM
Everyone has their own principle when it comes to crypto investment. Most of those who are hesitant don't want to take the risk because, to be honest, there's no guarantee of sure profit on it unless you acquire trading skills or if you're holding a profitable coin. There's nothing wrong with holding both currencies because we couldn't take away fiat despite the existence of crypto. Fiat will always be the first option currency no matter what our social status is.
1843  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Why people keep "investing" money in shit/memecoins? Genuine question. on: January 28, 2022, 07:01:57 AM
It is something that bugs me till today. Are they mostly newbies trying to find a path to enter cryptouniverse or experienced people who are just gambling to score a moonshot on luck?

This is the "meme" rank on coinmarketcap, there's millions on deflationary tokens with no effort from the "devs" at all. Just copy/paste a code, copy/paste a whitepaper, eventually pay few bucks for a domain and that's it.
Why people fall for that, yet?

Simply because they want easy profit since meme coins and shitcoins nowadays could easily get shilled by influencers and huge personalities. Easily manipulated coins could strike high anytime so it has a huge hope of providing a good profit in just a short period compared to well-established coins.
1844  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: If football is Legal in most countries why is Gambling Prohibited on: January 28, 2022, 05:40:01 AM
Sports and gambling are two different things so we couldn't compare them. Their effect and function are different as well so we can't question the legality of the said sports and the restrictions for gambling. Each country has their own law and that's also unquestionable. Football is a traditional sports while gambling has a huge scope since it has a different role.
1845  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Errol Spence Jr vs. Yordenis Ugas 3-Belt Welterweight Unification Match on: January 28, 2022, 03:56:24 AM
As I observed, a lot are still rooting for Spence Jr. No doubt because of his record. But this will be tested once both of them are inside the ring. Ugas' camp for sure is meticulously planning on how to beat Spence Jr as early as they can. But knowing Spence Jr, this one is hard to beat. So yes, this is indeed exciting to watch. Can we have another upset in the making?

That's the reality in this fight, more favoritism is Spence jr than Ugas cause they are based on records, and yes if we are looking for records for sure what we see is Spence jr has a great record without loss while ugas has a loss in his career but this is not the main reason why we choose the undefeated one than this opponent. If ugas was trained hard then for sure he has a chance to win this match and I know he will. In this juncture I choose Ugas.

We couldn't base things just on their training because their records speak of how they moved on their previous matches. It defines their strength during the fight so most bettors check their records skeptically. Ugas is also one of the strongest boxers these days but Spence has been too consistent.
1846  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What's your reason for buying altcoins? on: January 27, 2022, 07:19:57 PM
I think altcoin have potential with much profit than bitcoin trough not have enough money for investing, some altcoin can pump almost 40% in daily day or long term investment and can't reach almost higher percent with bitcoin and this why I keep holding and investing with altcoin only. Never take investing again with bitcoin after price pump and always altcoin as my favorite coin for trading or investing with long or short term. I think have many potential and earn profit more than 300% by investing with altcoin than try to invest with bitcoin because under $2,000 looks very little profit earn in bitcoin investment.
on the other hand when you say that you are short of money to be in bitcoin, you are actually too naive. You are looking for an excuse not to be there even though when you invest in bitcoin you can and don't need to buy one or two because there we are free to buy anything.
As for the altcoins, don't forget that they are still following bitcoin and when bitcoin crashes then indeed they will also follow on the other hand the movement is also quite slow because when bitcoin goes down, they also follow down. but when bitcoin goes up they don't necessarily follow directly

In that case, investing with Bitcoin while holding altcoins would be a good option. The profit that we could take from altcoins could also be reinvested in Bitcoin because yes, most altcoins are Bitcoin dependent. The movement of altcoins relies on Bitcoin so it will still be an advantage if you'll invest with BTC and other altcoins and I'm sure that it will always be worth it.
1847  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing]: Amir Khan vs Kell Brook - Feb 19, 2022 on: January 27, 2022, 02:09:52 PM
It's a nice match for the veterans in boxing, they passed their prime but they are still fun to watch. I'm surprised that Khan is the favorite here. I will never bet on him, he has a glass chin and I guess Kell Brooks would take advantage of that and will target Khan's weakness.

I'm also surprised that Khan is the favorite here but I'm sure that despite his weakness people were able to notice his aggressiveness on the ring too. Khan has a tough fight with Canelo so I guess it will be another tough match for him again. Kell Brook has been really consistent and he's too experienced so it will be a challenging fight for Khan.
1848  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: What are your criteria to go back/sticking with one particular gambling house on: January 26, 2022, 04:56:51 PM
I'm actually not sticking with one particular gaming site since there are so many casino offer various promotions which cam entertain me, but what I consider to choose a casino is first their reputation, type of games they offer and bonuses or others is just a bonus since what's important to me is they are good platform which we know they will not scam people by selective scamming which is happening on other casino.

I do agree that with several reputable casinos here, we have a lot of options to take.
But we somehow stick to maybe 2-3 casinos where we are comfortable playing.
For me, it is the ease of withdrawal and of course the games they are offering.
When it comes to sportsbooks, at least they are offering competitive odds.
For me, bonuses or rewards are just secondary. I need to look for their reputation first.

Reputation and a good trust rate are also my priority when sticking to gambling houses. A few sites would be enough as long as they provide smooth transactions when it comes to withdrawal and deposit. Bonuses and rewards would also be an edge because through that, they're showing players an importance to stay on their site.
1849  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Gambling In Crypto on: January 26, 2022, 01:41:49 PM
I'm also more comfortable gambling with crypto because of the convenience that it provides as well as the anonymity and security that every gambler wants. It has the same risks when playing using fiat but its security has an edge. I also find it thrilling since blockchain technology is volatile so it's too challenging.
1850  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin Investor Psychology on: January 25, 2022, 02:43:36 PM
Greed is human nature and people nowadays are afraid to take the risks but want to gain a huge profit which is far from reality. I think fear is one of the reasons why people are investing when the price is quite high. They fear the dip instead of taking it as an opportunity to buy. This is the mindset of those who apply the wrong strategy which is to buy high and sell low. A wise investor should know how to take advantage of every market situation.
1851  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: little knowledge about gambling - before I knowing bitcointalk.org forum on: January 25, 2022, 01:44:31 PM
Knowing when to stop and when to continue when it comes to gambling is necessary. We should know how to put limits so we'll be able to handle our funds right. Allocating enough funds for gambling would be the safest thing to do so we could put control on too much spending. Self-control and self-discipline should always be a part of our gambling journey.
1852  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin Changing my Thoughts And Behaviors. on: January 23, 2022, 03:52:33 PM
Bitcoin didn't have much impact on my behavior but I've learned how to handle my finances right through it. I was able to manage my funds and control myself from being too bothered with every market situation. Instead of fearing the dip, I've learned how to go with the flow and take profit in every crypto opportunity that I take. Bitcoin could be fun and challenging depending on how we deal with it but we shouldn't allow it to ruin our emotions and behavior.
1853  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: What altcoins would you invest $ 1,000,000 in? on: January 23, 2022, 03:41:54 PM
I wish I could really have that huge amount of money. If I would have that amount, I will first invest it with well established coins like BTC, BNB, ETH, and ADA. I wouldn't put it in a single basket but rather divide and invest it with profitable coins. I will also risk a small portion of it in small projects with great potential.
1854  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Good moment to buy btc or eth? on: January 23, 2022, 03:17:49 PM
This bear market isn't something to feel bothered about but actually the best opportunity to buy and accumulate more Bitcoin and ETH while the prices are still low. If you're planning to buy and hold for the long term, then you shouldn't miss this chance to buy hold especially since the whole market is in its low phase. You should be wise and grab the opportunity to buy during this dip.
1855  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: What Altcoins will Rock in 2022. on: January 23, 2022, 03:10:56 PM
I think this year will still be good for top coins like BTC, BNB, and ETH. They have a stronger foundation and I'm sure that they would recover and boom again soon. There will surely be new projects that would exist and I guess NFTs will also be on-trend just like what happened last 2021 but they aren't good in the long run.
1856  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: A quick question!! on: January 23, 2022, 02:49:12 PM
Simply because people have already noticed how Elon Musk moves. Most of us have been wiser and have learned how to get rid of crypto manipulators. Elon's strategy isn't good for a long-term benefit so I guess his manipulation doesn't have a huge impact on Doge this time.
1857  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing]: Thurman vs Barrios - Feb 5 on: January 23, 2022, 02:18:36 PM

Thurman has the tools to beat Barrios, no question about it, that's why majority of us here is favouring Thurman to win. But what makes this fight interesting is the whole statement of Thurman that this could serve as a title eliminator and winner takes the winner of Spence vs Ugas. So for sure, many are hype and going to watch and see how Thurman is, if he still has the power to become a champion again.
when compared to Barrios, of course, it will still be very superior to Thurman in terms of technique, speed and strength.
but even so that doesn't mean we can ignore barrios for granted.
he has a strong desire in this and I have never doubted his determination to fight.
the winner will still be Thurman's but Barrios will definitely put up a pretty good fight
That's definitely what we like to see, a good fight will turn people's attention to this fight. Although it's not a championship fight, showing a great fight is necessary as the winner here will always be up for a bigger fight or a shot for a championship fight if possible.

Thurman is my choice as well, and I have a feeling that he will win convincingly, whether through stoppage or through judges scorecards.

Everyone is on Thurman to win, I wonder how much money the bookies would make if the result will be the opposite. Most of us know Thurman because he fought Pacman, so probably we are underestimating his opponent who is younger than him and also only has one loss in his career.

Not only the bookies will win, but there are also some bettors who would bet on Barrios as not everyone is convinced that Thurman will win. The more active fighter here is Barriors, and Thurman is coming from a long lay off, so the ring rust might affect his performance.

Barrios has also been consistent in his fights and though others are underestimating him, I have no doubt that he'll do good preparation to beat Thurman in possible ways he knows. It will be challenging for him but I guess it will also be an opportunity to prove himself more.
1858  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: stake.com- Does not have gambling responsibility on: January 23, 2022, 12:46:44 PM
It's a good thing that a casino staff has noticed your concern but not every gambling site could do that. Gambling addiction is hard to resist but I don't think the casino site is accountable for it. A person who has fallen for a gambling addiction will always find ways to gamble so requesting permanent banning won't always be an effective solution.
1859  Economy / Gambling / Re: Vikingbet.io launched this week. on: January 23, 2022, 11:56:43 AM
Op should know that people nowadays are too skeptical and we always make sure that a new gambling site is legit by checking everything about it and not just focusing on the rewards and bonuses that it offers. You should've posted more information about your site so we'll have more ideas about it. Introducing a new gambling site here is like selling and offering a high-class product.
1860  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: What are the most important features of an online crypto casino? on: January 23, 2022, 10:54:01 AM
Well the very best choice that I have picked was here, it took more than 15 mins to me think which is better because they are all important features in a gambling casino.
[1]Payout speed
 [2]Strength of licensing
 [3]Responsiveness to complaints
 [4]Engagement with Bitcointalk community
 [5]Bonuses & offers
 [6]Variety of cryptocurrencies

Can I add one, it seems 5 feature is not enough for me, they are all important but I only picked the most important of all.
Is Bitcasino.io have these all features?

Is security not an important thing for you compared to the 6 features you chose above? I'd prefer to skip strength of licensing as I do not care about it because I do not see the real advantage of license for me as a gambler since years ago. Other feature that I can skip as long as I can have better security system is variety of cryptocurrencies. I do not play in online crypto casino with many different coins, mostly with btc, ltc, trx only. So my choices are Payout Speed, Responsiveness to complaints, Bonuses and Offers, Security and Software and games.

As for me, security is one of the main factors that should be considered in searching for crypto casinos because bonuses, withdrawal limits, and other stuff would be senseless if the casino site isn't secured. It's better to have an assurance that our funds are safe while we're aiming for a good profit.
