1901  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Can an Escrow be a guarantee? on: February 12, 2019, 03:42:42 PM
Even if they have escrow and acting in good faith, I would still stay away from that project. With an anonymous team, I doubt that they will be able to win investors confidence. It's going to fail.
1902  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What are some of the key points you are/were looking in ICO projects to judge it on: February 12, 2019, 03:33:16 PM
1. Public appearances of the team (for example attending cryptocurrency conferences, pictures of the team together or their partnership, etc.)
2. Problem that the team will solve.
3. Solution they're going to implement.
4. Roadmap and technical details.
5. Achievements of the team and their preferences.

Additional:
- Appearance of their website
- Professionalism of their whitepaper (Easy to understand but you professionally constructed)
- Active community
- Ahead of their roadmap

We all have our own ways to judge or to choose an ICO we want to invest in but here are just some of my key points on choosing a good/great ICO project.

This is a good list already but if I may add, I would like an ICO project to have a model or prototype as early as token sale stage or even prior to that.
1903  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Is LAToken Exchange an exchange for listing Scam tokens ? on: February 12, 2019, 02:50:58 PM
I noticed that it is one of the most go to exchanges of start up projects. I believe it's one of the first exchanges that adopted the "Initial Exchange Offerings". It is still a new exchange and they try to list as many as they can so few lapses might occur.

What is Stellar Lumens (XLM)?

The Stellar network is a pragmatic blockchain project which aims to work as a bridge between the exactly opposite worlds of decentralized cryptocurrency and traditional, centralized financial institutions. Stellar is known for its unique consensus method — the Stellar Consensus Protocol, which is totally unique in the blockchain ecosystem in a traditional sense.

Stellar is a blockchain platform which is primarily focused on integrating distributed ledger technology (DLT) into existing financial infrastructure. Stellar presents as the future of banking and intend to address the gaps that exist between the disparate closed system, composed of the current international financial markets.

Market prediction for Stellar-Lumens price

As the market is very volatile, it is not easy to predict any cryptocurrency per se, that too, when it is the 6th largest cryptocurrency in the world. Looking at all the predictions given by the market enthusiasts/ publications/ traders, one thing is certain that there is a lot of hope surrounding Stellar price prediction.

#1 Long Forecast

Long Forecast gave an entirely conservative prediction, where they forecasted that by the end of 2019, XLM might reach $0.30, which make sit look like it won't grow much as compared to the current price. Maybe, the end of 2019 prediction is missing if this can be considered the prediction for the 1st half of 2019.

#2 Wallet Investor

Wallet Investor updates prices and predictions every three minutes using the latest technical analysis. They have very conservatively made a 5-Year forecast of $1.005.

#3 Mega Crypto Price

The price forecast at Mega Crypto Price has been very optimistic for all the cryptocurrencies and its the same for XLM, too, predicting that Stellar could be worth $5.10 by the end of 2019. The team says that this can be achieved as long as there are no major security flaws and the overall sector performs well.

#4 Monetize Info

Monetize believes that Stellar’s major partnerships will be the major reason behind an upcoming price surge, which might result in XLM’s price reaching $2-$3 by 2019. Beyond IBM, Stellar’s partners include Stripe, Deloitte, etc.

For example, Stripe gave Stellar a 3-million-dollar capital injection a few years back which Stellar immediately returned in XLM.

#5 The Economy Forecast Agency

This website features a long-range forecasting model to make market forecasts for corporate clients. The website has its own price prediction for 2020, which says XLM will see a high of $0.64 in 2020, which is by far the most conservative and pessimistic of XLM’s price predictions.

Stellar is also getting ahead of its competitor by announcing a partnership with TransferTo, which will boost international money transfer, efficiently. 2019 will experience the continuity in the success of Stellar, where it might be hovering around $0.505 in February and March, after which it might pick up to reach around $0.611 in the second quarter. Because of its partnerships with the famous tech giants- IBM and Deloitte, it will be a market player in 2019. By the end of 2019, the XLM price may reach $0.664. You can convert XLM to BTC from CoinSwitch at the best rate.

Let me know what you all think about this coin...

In my opinion Both offer very good privacy, but are completely different. Monero is more practical (specifically addressing known issues), Zcash more theoretical and opt-in.

But personally i will go for monero because
The best part about Monero is that it is fungible and you have complete control over your currency and transactions.

From an investment perspective, even if you personally do not require privacy and anonymity in your transactions, it is undeniable that a significant chunk of the world’s market desire it. This makes investing in Monero a fairly obvious decision.

I’ve got a large collection of cryptos, but Monero has always been my fav. I can’t call it the most stable one, yet, I’ve never had any big disappointments with this currency.

1905  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Are altcoins useless? on: February 12, 2019, 02:01:13 PM
For now, every altcoin is still highly dependent on bitcoin In terms of price movement. But I believe there will come a time where major altcoins will be independent of BTC's price. Do we really need other altcoins other than Ethereum and Monero? I think we do. Dash for example is doing an amazing job.
1906  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: How to Identify Good Airdrops ?? on: February 12, 2019, 01:54:09 PM
Anyone tell How to Identify Good Airdrops ?? In these days crypto altocoins airdrops are very trending.

LOL Did you just say trending these days? Where were you when airdrops are popping out every minute or every hour? I seldom join airdrops nowadays but the ones I usually participate are exchange sponsored airdrops, not those from ICOs.
1907  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin ETF Available Eventually on: February 11, 2019, 03:07:34 PM
There is no timetable for the ETF approval. This SEC people are probably just playing around. For me, it is better to ignore them for now and just wait for the official announcement. If it does happen (ETF approval), it'll definitely move the market. I'm not just sure if it will trigger a bull run.
1908  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: John Mcafee on: February 11, 2019, 03:01:00 PM
I like the guy and his passion about cryptocurrency. I just wish he stops shilling coins and receive money from ICOs. It's better for him to be an independent supporter or critic.
1909  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: BCH Price To Touch 2000 USD by 2019 End on: February 11, 2019, 02:57:19 PM
A few months back, BCH Hard fork took place and since Bitcoin Cash ABC won the hash run, BCH ABC and BCH are merged together and are a single entity. Very recently, blockchain.com introduced a new tool for crypto enthusiasts to get a better understanding of the intricacies of their cryptocurrency. They launched a Bitcoin Cash explorer that helps people search for transaction hashes, addresses and blocks on the BCH blockchain.

So because of this added features, Bitcoin Cash ABC will reach $2000 this year?
I do not see that happening this year. Another thing, BCH ABC is still highly dependent on King BTC's movement.
1910  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Which is better- peer to peer centralized exchange or decentralized exchange ? on: February 11, 2019, 02:50:08 PM
I never heard of WazirX.

Anyway, which one is better depends on what each user is looking for.
I like CEX because it better UI and greater volume.
I like DEX because it has better security.
1911  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What make these coin so valuable ? on: February 07, 2019, 04:36:32 PM
A coin's value is determined by its community. There are also multiple factors to consider here like technology behind each project for example. Sometimes, even hype plays a role in raising a coin's value.
1912  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What is your take on the current market dwindling? on: February 06, 2019, 08:29:05 AM
Of course I am optimistic that the cryptocurrency market will soar again but I do not expect it to happen this year. I believe it will start to happen by 2020.
1913  Economy / Speculation / Re: Proof MtGox Dumping Caused Bear Market Alleged on: February 06, 2019, 06:54:16 AM
~snip~ there are news that they've started dumping Bitcoin at the height of it's bubble so it look like this is a old news already.

Exactly. I have already heard about this news early last year.

Bear market is expected to come anyway after that 2017 bull run whether or not Mt. Gox trustee dumps or not.
1914  Economy / Speculation / Re: Market will be recovery current year 2019 ? on: February 06, 2019, 06:49:36 AM
Do not expect too much this 2019. It could well be another year for the bears similar to what we had last year. I believe 2020 is the year where recovery starts.
1915  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Bounty /investment strategies on: February 06, 2019, 06:35:10 AM
The basics are verified and active team plus unique project features. If you want to be more sure, you can choose those projects with a working product even during token sale stage.
1916  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Will one blockchain rule them all? on: February 06, 2019, 06:30:28 AM
~snip~

That's why we are lacking on the expansion and adoption side. There are too many cyptos, too many similar projects, too many main-nets and basically too many of everything. I think the that the current state of crypto wouldn't be here if we had only Bitcoin to rule them all, everyone working on it's network to improve it and create platforms from there (idk if that is theoretically possible).

Too many projects is the reason why we are lacking expansion and adoption? How so? Any study to back up this claim? From what I have read, it is the lack of education that is preventing people from coming into crypto.
1917  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: Poloniex still safe to trade? on: February 05, 2019, 06:27:10 PM
Ah the once most popular crypto exchange Poloniex...It's been a very long time since I used that exchange and I do not planning on using them anytime soon.
1918  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: Centralized and Decentralized Exchanges on: February 05, 2019, 06:23:57 PM
I have been using some decentralized exchanges and one of my favorite is DDEX. Some of the new DEX's are better than the older ones like ED.

Centralized is for the people who love high security
High security?
1919  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: which is better to burn tokens every year or dividends every year? on: February 05, 2019, 06:16:30 PM
I like them both and I do not think one is better than the other. Both can have an effect on price but both will be useless also if the project turns out to have poor progress.
1920  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Distribution of tokens in installments on: February 04, 2019, 06:45:20 AM
It is probably to prevent the bounty hunters from dumping. Many projects believe that hunters are responsible for selling at cheap prices and this method of paying in installment is their way to prevent that from happening. The team may have other reasons, you should ask them directly.
