Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Why are we not pushing online merchant and services harder for Bitcoin adoption?

Collectively sending emails to one merchant then to another may push them away from even considering bitcoin. People has the tendency to go away from aggressive marketing.
We keep making this request/demands but will the community readily support it on a consistent basis? I can't remember where I read it but there was a news before that featured a store accepting crypto for months but none of their customers have tried.

Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin Doesn’t Create Wealth Inequality
|
on: April 29, 2019, 07:12:27 PM

The only point here is that bitcoin or any other cryptocurrency created an opportunity for people (professionals, rich, poor, as in everyone) to get involved in a venture where they can earn aside from their earnings in real-life. Take me as an example, before I learned about crypto I used to work my ass out just to earn minimum wage, to pay for my bills and shelter, to feed my family. Bitcoin was able to give me an opportunity to earn a year worth of my salary in just a short span of time, and I think it's one of the best opportunity I had. Now, you guys continue your discussion. (Eating popcorn while reading) Bitcoin and other cryptos created an Equal opportunity to be specific. I believe that's what OP was talking about with her statement "wealth equality". Things kinda quickly went to a different direction

All these wallet integration and Samsung Coin are just marketing tweak from Samsung. The latter is even just a rumor. Like some people in this thread, I'm quite interested in tech giants going for blockchain but not in this way. JPM coin, Samsung coin... all are worthless up to now. Why not JPM blockchain or Samsung blockchain instead?
Why don't we just wait until they make an official announcement. These "rumors" are definitely part of marketing campaign.

What makes him not believe in your words? I read your story, it's really very sad if your sister buys bitcoin when the price is high. If he follows your words, he will benefit several times.
Not sister but brother-in-law. It's only natural for people who are not really familiar with business or investing to doubt any kind of offer/suggestion. They often want to see result and when bitcoin started pumping like crazy, he probably realized that it's a real opportunity.

Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Airdrop is more profitable than Social Media Bounty ?
|
on: April 25, 2019, 06:34:31 PM

I prefer doing both bounties - airdrops and social media ,but I had caught some good airdrops two years ago and I made some good money from them.As for me the most profitable campaign is signature bounty.
I wonder what were the airdrops that you call "good"? I rarely met airdrops, which brought me more than $5, mostly they are useless coins that just lie on my wallet. There was a cool airdrop from Binance, which distributed BNB tokens, which now cost about $23 per one token. Now Miracle Tele is holding an airdrop, you can get about $15 or more and the tokens are liquid, as there is a demand for them on the exchange. OP mentioned two years ago (2017). During those times, almost every airdrop is very profitable. There were even some that reached $20 per token. Those are not even airdrops from ICOs.

I see in bounty group there are many people who join social media bounty rewards is under airdrop rewards. $1.8 for do facebook bounty but every member who join airdrop get $5. Is enough for bounty who always do task every weeks ?
This happens because many newbie bounty hunters are joining long social media campaigns despite having minimum followers. From my own experience, it's not smart to join such a highly populated and stake-based campaigns receiving only minimum stakes. Build some decent followings before thinking of joining those types of campaigns.

Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What has become of the whitepaper document

The solution I presume now; let’s take whitepaper to tell us what the project devs aim to achieve; don’t use whitepaper as a reason for investment.
Maybe what you meant is "Don't let the announcement or the release of whitepaper as a reason for investment". I remember those days when a mere announcement for WP release would cause an instant pump. A few made some money on that while many lost due to the immediate dumping. having said that, there is no way that you're going to invest in any project without reading the whitepaper. You'll have to rely on it somehow. I have long ago made the decision not to pay attention to the qualitative information about the projects. In any case, a full-fledged analysis of the project is not enough for 100% of the result and you still can not be sure of good prospects. I have repeatedly encountered such projects, in which everything was very well written and it’s impossible to find dark spots behind the team, but in the end it turned out to be a scam. Yes, look beyond the presentations. Having a well written whitepaper and team does not necessarily equate to a project being legit. But still, you cannot simply invest w/o checking the WP

I had to double check the date of posting. I thought it was posted in 2017 when I first read the title. Two years ago I've seen a lot of projects that came out with names like ethereum green, bitcoin diamond, litecoin dark.....etc. Today, 99% of them are probably dead. Lesson: stay way from projects whose names are colors or minerals attached to a popular coin.

Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Why IEOs Came Into Existence?
|
on: April 22, 2019, 07:36:13 PM

Because they are the answer on how to gain back the confidence of the investors in the crypto space. With the advent of IEO, investors feel safer with investing, although the number of projects that has come into existence is now limited but we can ensure that majority of them are good projects. I believe we quality projects more than quantity alone.
I agree with your opinion that if there is no IEO maybe there will be no more people who dare to make a new project because there are too many frauds that occur in the ICO. with the existence of an IEO automatically can increase the confidence of investors to invest in it. Indeed. Also, IEO allows investors not to take a risk in investing through non-reputed ICO projects. By this way of raising a token, more traders and investors can psrticipate specially if the exchange is very popular such as Binance, Bitfinex, Bitmex, and etc. however I'm not sure if they are supporting such IEO. Have you guys heard of IEOs before Binance launched theirs? You speak as if it's the "savior" but before Binance there were already existing IEOs on smaller exchanges. It has not created a buzz and I doubt that they were able to attract more investors compared to ICOs.

I think its time to be a Yobit-Hunter I wonder what you're gonna do next Will only lead to one thing that now our beloved campaign managers yahoo, lauda etc reached their goal and are sending their help offer to Yobit to get their cut.
Let's see how quickly Yobit will be back with one of the known campaign managers.
I read that yahoo was approached by yobit first to manage their campaign before it was launched. The offer was most likely declined.
