1781  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: 6 methods to choose a good project for investment on: April 10, 2019, 08:13:55 PM
3. Avoid projects with large "Dark Spaces" in their Roadmap: Ideally, you can feel the service in ICO and can use your card right after the end. Waiting for 1 year to get an alpha version is not acceptable.

I guess you mean to say some prototype should be ready. I also do not believe in investing on some text document and website.

Many people are trying to ride in the wave of blockchain even they have nothing to do in blockchain or blockchain is even not suited to their purpose.

I'm seeing a shift right now. There are some ICOs that suspended or delayed their public token sale until they finished their prototype or beta version. The standard of many investors has changed and some start ups has noticed that. They're now trying to woo these investors again.
1782  Other / Off-topic / Re: 1 merit per applicant who find qualifying posts or topics on Scam Related Issues on: April 09, 2019, 08:46:58 PM
Being able to spot substantial posts is a lot different from creating one, and if you think about it, they can just paste anything that has a lot of merits without even reading all of its content, hence why I don't think the ppl who just pasted threads in here deserve any merit for it.
Valid point. I do not know what OP is really thinking but this approach might actually encourage new members to visit the different boards aside from Altcoins Discussion and actually read & understand posts to meet the criteria.
1783  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: NEWBIE QUESTION : What is ANN Thread? on: April 09, 2019, 08:41:07 PM
If you are still confused with all the explanations above, just think ANN as an advertisement. You create a one-page explanation of your product/service and post it in this forum.
1784  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Why IEOs Came Into Existence? on: April 09, 2019, 08:33:22 PM
These guys running IEOs are business people. If they see an opportunity to earn big, they will pounce on that. They only needed to provide the platform and it's profit time. The method is still popular and some would still rush to these exchanges and fight for a place in the IEOs. Let's wait and see once the hype dies down and the price starts falling also.
1785  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: VANTA a SCAM? Wasted 6 weeks working for Vanta without payment on: April 09, 2019, 08:16:55 PM
I will not work in these bounty anymore!
You mean Vanta? Did they say they are going to launch another bounty campaign?

Even if it is a scam and you are not paid i will still say that you are lucky that only 6 weeks of your work has gone wasted while in last one year we have seen bounty campaigns lasting for 6 months and bounty hunters still getting nothing in the end.
This is some kind of a consolation here  Wink
I wish all campaigns would only have a maximum of 20 weeks but I still see some that runs until infinity. There are no exact dates except "end of ICO". You cannot even rely on their roadmap for their ICO dates since most of them keeps on extending their token sale.
1786  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: VK Coin? on: April 09, 2019, 08:03:56 PM
This is one thing I love about business people, they always look for trending things and make sure they find a way they can build a company around that trend so that they can make a lot of funds, they don't care what the government says about the program, once they have seen that it would be of very good benefit to them, they tap into it so quickly in other to make a lot of money, so I am not surprised a bit about it.

Right  Grin
It's all about business. Pounce when the opportunity arises. I don't know if they will succeed with whatever they are trying to achieve but they are still helping cryptocurrency in a way.
1787  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Facebook is raising money for Facebook Coin on: April 09, 2019, 07:59:41 PM
Too late. They most likely missed the crypto train. Banning crypto ads and accounts damaged their reputation and it wasn't already in a good shape before it.

It will still create some hype however. It still has a name which is worth millions of dollars. Just a name...

Believe buddy, when i say this, what you mentioned above won't in anyway do any harm to facebook doing an ICO. In fact,  it will instead increase the popularity of facebook all around places over the world.

I don't get this facebook popularity will increase even more if it will conduct an ICO. It's as if cryptocurrency investors are not yet aware of facebook. If anything, it's cryptocurrency whose popularity might increase because of this move by facebook.
1788  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Crypto trading online with Poloniex on: April 08, 2019, 07:02:21 PM
I didn't know there are still some using poloniex. I haven't checked that exchange since 2017. It's been like a graveyard exchange.
1789  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Everything You Need to Know about IEO on: April 08, 2019, 06:55:47 PM
You are better than this mate.

That's the first thing I noticed with those IEO though, It's not an effective approach, we have seen that in ICO's already.

That's the first thing I noticed with those IEO though, damn it matter of seconds? all tokens are sold-out? Bots maybe behind, but of course it's been guided by someone who really knows how to manipulate the market.

Buy back the tokens? It's not an effective approach, we have seen that in ICO's already. If projects buy back their token the price could really take a hit and stay in limbo for a long time, meaning the price is way below the ICO price.
1790  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: CAN'T RUN FASTER THAN YOUR SHADOW on: April 08, 2019, 06:12:13 PM
I hope newbies will learn actually ,they are the ones taking the wrong path on crypto space and promoting fake projects ,even now that investors are turning to IEO investment some innocent people are still falling victims, there is no way in crypto space if you aren't ready to learn first
May I ask how long have you been in crypto?
How many projects are you promoting in your social media right now? Are you sure they are all legit?
1791  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Why you should invest into ICOs that have a working product. on: April 08, 2019, 06:01:05 PM
because if a product functions properly, then there is a guarantee that the future will continue to be developed and the market will also go up.
A working product might reduce the risk of investing in ICOs but there is still no guarantee that the project development will continue.

It is hard these days for ICO to give a profit back for investors even if they have a working product, if when the times comes and they list coin on exchange and the price not grow and a lot of investors dump then there is hard to make a profit on, and maybe a lot of people don't want to invest more on ICO because they see more and more ICO fail.
Immediate dumping after listing is the current trend right now. It's even a strategy being implemented by both ICO investors and bounty hunters (dump now buy back later at a lower price).

These dumps are only temporary I think. As long as there is a working product and there's a good team behind it, there's a good chance that price will recover. It might just take a longer time.
1792  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Should ICO have Advisors compulsorily? on: April 08, 2019, 05:50:51 PM
I do not think it's really compulsory especially if they have a big team that covers all aspects. It's on the team if they want another set of eyes to look into their project and if they want to attract more potential investors since most of these advisors are "influencers".
1793  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Do this if you don't to be dragged to different telegram ICOs on: April 08, 2019, 05:42:23 PM
I'm actually looking on how can I disable the receiving message like I've been receiving messages from random people and it's annoying. I know there's something like this but I can't find it.
I do not think telegram has this feature yet. At the moment, those who are restricted from sending random messages are those reported for spamming. Someone already mentioned removing your username as one way of reducing this but that won't prevent other people in the same telegram group from sending messages to you.
1794  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: VK Coin? on: April 06, 2019, 09:12:12 PM
This would create mass adoption for its users. But I don't know how far is the reach of VK, in terms of the number of users?
I do not have the exact numbers but it should be less than Facebook. Nevertheless, I believe they still have a bigger user base compared to existing blockchain-based social media platforms.

They should create a valid reason why it should exist. Otherwise, this is just another project riding the hype of crypto projects.
Correct! The article did mention some uses of the VK internal currency. We'll probably find out more details in the coming days.
1795  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: Locking Bounty Rewards To Avoid Dumping on: April 06, 2019, 09:03:33 PM
if the level of concern has started to be extreme, it's better to pay a bounty hunter with only USD, and let the tokens have good value and avoid dumping after listing. so that investors and teams get profits.
Why only USD? Why not BTC, ETH, or any other established altcoins?
If every bounty would pay USD, then all hunters in all campaigns might have to undergo KYC.
1796  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Are any of the top managers involved in any running bounties? on: April 06, 2019, 08:52:03 PM
I used to participate on btcltcdigger's bounty campaigns. I don't know if there are any other managers who require participants to submit weekly reports thru google forms and not making new posts. Unfortunately, some of the campaigns he managed turned out to be shit.
1797  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / VK Coin? on: April 05, 2019, 08:59:28 PM
The Russian social media giant VK has launched its mineable internal currency called VK Coin. Anyone saw this coming? While all the buzz was on Facebook and its plan to launch its own cryptocurrency, it appears that VK has been planning to launch first and beat FB  Grin

1798  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: BEWARE OF IEO on: April 05, 2019, 08:24:22 PM
I like the fact that people are starting to understand that participation in IEO is a very dangerous thing. almost none of the ordinary people can buy coins on stock exchanges

IEOs on bigger exchanges like Binance are becoming like the private sale of ICOs. Both are exclusive to bigger investors but one is guaranteed of listing.
1799  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Thinking ROI Since ICO more -70% until more than -100% on: April 05, 2019, 08:14:47 PM
how to look for ICO like ETHEREUM on some years ago ??
You seldom find ICOs with real products, real use case, and real demand today.
If you are interested in investing in ICOs/STOs/IEOs, you may want to look for projects that offer something unique or something only a few have ventured into. Personally, I like those who are venturing into renewable energy (this is just my take).

Is Airdrop Token is the FUTURE ?
If you want to collect tokens without exerting much effort, then why not? Just do not expect that much, most of them might turn out to be less than $1 though.
1800  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: IEO can be a safer investment option than ICO on: April 05, 2019, 07:50:09 PM
But one thing is true, ICO will become a cartel and centralized to Binance launchpad.
You mean IEO?

Basically investors had to think about a lot of things before putting their fund on a ICO project such as research whitepaper, project Accuracy, team members and many more......But this new IEO system has made this easier for investors IMO.

This one looks good and attractive but I also think this can be harmful. This may make some investors dependent on the judgement of these exhanges launching IEOs. Regardless of whether it's an ICO or an IEO, people should not abandon doing their own research before investing.
