1701  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: SEC Now Seeks Public Opinion On ETF! What Would This Mean? on: May 15, 2019, 05:20:28 AM
Those guys at SEC are probably at a standoff right now and decided to seek help from both pro-crypto and anti-crypto community.

They'll probably drag this until the end of the year and end up approving.
1702  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Do bounty participants enjoy longer or shorter campaigns? on: May 15, 2019, 05:08:03 AM
The major concern of bounty participants nowadays is working months on a bounty and ends up getting paid with coins or tokens that's worth a few pennies. Notice that some long running campaigns were now abandoned. I guess hunters have learned their lessons.

I personally prefer shorter campaigns with a decent pool. But if I find a campaign that's really good, I'd be fine with a 15 week campaign (max).

Bonus: What's your most disliked type of bounty campaign?
Campaigns that keeps on extending.
Campaigns that runs until ICO ends but with an ICO that has no specific dates.
Campaigns that adds rules during or at the end of the bounty like KYC or some kind of exchange voting shit.
1703  Economy / Speculation / Re: bitcoin has reached 8000$, then what? on: May 15, 2019, 04:16:10 AM
The way I see it, it's going to move up again in a day or two. There are some circulating news about ebay accepting bitcoin and also about bakkt. Maybe we'll see another $1K increase by the end of the week.
1704  Bitcoin / Wallet software / Re: Which is best Bitcoin wallet? Other than hardware on: May 15, 2019, 04:08:59 AM
I guess you are asking for more secure bitcoin wallets, you may choose paper wallets then if you don't like hadwares.

There's a topic here that enumerates all the different wallets, you may want to read and learn from it

1705  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2019 NBA Season on: May 14, 2019, 06:00:39 PM
It's interesting to note that conference finalist on both the east and the west have similar styles.

West - a 3-point shootout.
East - a battle on the paint.

West: Warriors in 4 or 5
East: Bucks in 6 or 7
1706  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: CoinGecko is introducing "Trust Score" to combat fake exchange volume on: May 14, 2019, 06:03:43 AM
A much needed change I think. Many traders are still relying on trading volumes and are unaware of these fake ones. This could be a better measure that what that other site offers  Grin
1707  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Bitcoin on up trend & scammers are waking up. on: May 14, 2019, 05:32:51 AM
...snip... Especially ponzi scheme, hyip & fake ICO. Perhaps scammers and hacker would use this up trend as weapon of scam.

Please don't forget those crypto "experts" or "gurus" that will be coming out on twitter then starting their own paid group to scam newbies.

1709  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin Just a Shady ‘Ponzi Scheme,’ Rants Goldbug Peter Schiff on: May 14, 2019, 05:19:41 AM
So they started talking again now that Bitcoin is making a great run, coincidence?  Grin

Let them talk until forever, the market has grown tired of this people. Let's just focus on investing, trading, explaining, promoting crypto.
1710  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Could someone tell me which part of the calculation I messed up? on: May 14, 2019, 04:15:29 AM
This is probably the first time I've seen someone post a mathematical formula for gambling.

@OP, have you tried this formula in other gambling sites? The regular online casinos.
1711  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: The Definition of Winning in Gambling on: May 14, 2019, 04:10:06 AM

This came into my thoughts when I read somewhere here in BTCT that when are you going to stop? And a lot of people have suggested that they will stop when they have already won. It got me thinking, how would be a Win?

With this kind of thinking, it is most likely that they'll end up being broke. It's dangerous to not have a specific strategy. If they won $1, I'm pretty sure they won't stop.
1712  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2019 NBA Season on: May 14, 2019, 04:01:46 AM
Now it is the time to savor a derby of two upcoming talents that are going to compete for the best player in the world, Leonard and Antetokounmpo.
I think that Giannis is going to prove that he is the next player that will take LeBron's place. I will bet for a 3-1 for Bucks winning the series.
I will also go with Milwaukee for this series and the reason for that is pretty obvious. Toronto needed 7 matches to win against Philadelphia and they also needed a buzzer beater from Leonard to win the series so they struggled a lot against a team that didn't even played very good. It should be an easy mission for Milwaukee just like it will be for the Warriors.

Raptors needed seven games because the 76ers are a tough team. Let's not talk as if their team is shit and as if Bucks would only need four games to wipe them out in a seven-game series.
1713  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: How to make profit from a dice game? Have any unique strategy? on: May 14, 2019, 03:54:56 AM
You will always end up with a losing percentage over time when playing dice at a casino.  The only strategy I would suggest is to use your entire gambling budget on one or two bets and walk away if you win.

This is what I usually do. Depending on the funds available, I would try up to five bets. Win or lose, I'll leave the game. This might not bring so much profit but it also prevents losing too much.
1714  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: What causes a person to become intensely addicted to gambling? on: May 13, 2019, 09:00:31 AM
Other than greed, it's that insatiable desire to win that leads them to addiction. People also do not like losing, so there is always that tendency to come back and gamble to take back what they've lost.
1715  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Manny Pacquiao vs Keith Thurman on July 20 on: May 13, 2019, 08:53:17 AM
Let me fixed it for you. Where Manny fanboys pactards at?  Grin. Either way, Pacman never ceases to amazed us, but we know that Thurman will be next in line. First, this is a winnable fight for me if we are going to base in on Keith's previous performance. Second, this is a test for Manny, if he win this one then I will assume that Floyd will be next or there is a possibility that he will face Floyd in the future.

Manny has fought so many fights already. If there's anyone who needs some testing, it's the younger fighter. Floyd fights whenever he wants to fight. He won't be bothered by the result of the Pacquiao-Thurman fight.

As for the fight, Manny still has the speed and power. Experience will be key.

I think we would see another amazing fight from Pacquiao but I think he is already old there are so many young athlete he should just give way to them.
Yeah experience would be his advantage but could his body go against a younger one?

Why would he give way if he still dominates? If those younger fighter could not win against an older Manny decisively, then I don't think they deserve that spot.

We've questioned his body and suggested retirement the last time he lost, but he's proven again that he still has it by winning decisively in his next fights.
1716  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Gambling strategies (beliefs) on: May 13, 2019, 05:03:44 AM
My strategy would be to try multiple strategies to see which one works best.  Afterall gambling is a game of chance. Trying multiple strategies could aswell increase my chances of winning.

This could be costly. Make sure you do not lose a lot in the process while you're at it. You could end up dry already once you found out your winning strategy.
1717  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread (EPL) on: May 12, 2019, 05:45:00 PM
What a season. If I am not mistaken, this is the second time the Man City won the title on the very last day.

Liverpool deserves to win the PL title as well, hopefully they can turn the disappointment into something positive and win the UCL.
1718  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Any knows the mathematical formula to winning the lottery? on: May 12, 2019, 08:43:13 AM
I once saw a news  of a "guru" doing some kind of a ritual and wrote some "random" numbers for the lottery. The guy who requested claims that he won with those numbers. Maybe there's no mathematical formula, only some divine intervention  Grin

Just create/compose your own. If you can't do that yet, then read and learn first.

Those high-ranked accounts were recently banned for posts/comments they made years ago when they were just a newbie. It's unfortunate that they did not start right.
