People pray for bitcoin's price to go up more than they pray to god Lol... this is normal we should see it back at 5k in matter of hours or days.. atleast btc made some progress from its previous value.. slow and steady growth is the best It's just going to keep on going lower as Bitcoin's network is 100% going to become more clogged overtime. What made you say this "become clogged overtime" You don't trust the capability of the lightning network?

Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Do you trust in new crypto-trading apps?

Many crypto-trading apps such as tab trader and I believe you can now also trade using blockfolio, were once new also. I personally would not use newly launched apps immediately. I would wait for other people's review.
Between the two though, I would still prefer trading on exchange website rather than using an app.

It is tied to the popularity of the exchange it self. if something better/more appealing comes by or some major problems are happening it will sink.
True! For now, majority of active traders are happy with the Binance platform. The owner also keeps on adding new features to maintain and increase the demand (with the IEO launchpad as the latest).

Mind you that it will just take a few months tp get an ATH once again with bitcoin.
Easy to say few months. Any rough estimate on how many more months before bitcoin reaches new ATH? I also feel good seeing bitcoin breaking those walls and going pass $5K in a short time but let's not get too much excited about it reaching $20K again. I still believe it'll take more or less 20 months before BTC goes to that level.

Well this is good since the framework will lessen the confusion of those who are planning to run a crowdsale. It helps them to be compliant with the regulations but I'm still not sure how this will give a big boost to ICOs. Maybe more will launch their own without the fear of SEC coming after them?

Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What are your opinions on Crypto Banking?

crypto banking is good but now it's not really needed. you can see it from all the new projects that have the concept of banking crypto that none survived, all disappeared without a trace. so I think this is a concept that is less attractive to the community today
I also know one that launched last year but the project has not really took off. I'm not even sure what these teams are thinking when they planned to launch a crypto bank. Maybe it's a good innovation but I do not think there's a high demand for it at this point.

Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Can bounty hunting be considered a job??
|
on: April 02, 2019, 08:17:32 PM
|
It would have been better if the bounty manager, who has a telegram group with thousands of active members, never said that. It just reflects that if he does not treat bounties as a job, then he's probably not at all serious with the campaigns he manage. Some hunters take bounties seriously regardless if it is the main source of income or a part-time. 1: payment isn't guaranteed - it depends on the campaign. There are those with escrows.2: bounty hunting is more of luck than skill - How so? If this is related to number 1, then I have the same response3: it could turn out too be a total waste of time at any moment - it's no different than a regular job where you could get fired or get f*cked by your employer. Or it could turn out to be really worth it.

...i guess you are afraid that someone will rank up with you and that will mean a reduction in your reward,
I have no proof of this but this could be one of the reasons why some are so tight with their smerits like there's a hodling reward for doing so.
Another possible reason is that they probably don't know which one is worthy of merits and they do not want to be accused as merit abuser. Oh well some are hodling hard just to give it to one user. I saw one "dump" 50 sMerits to a bounty manager for his ANN thread 50 in one single thread? If what you say is true, that is probably the most given to a user.

But except for few cases, their performances are similar to those by junior members like member, Jr member. I wonder what's your basis in assessing the performance of most higher ranked members. Do you have anything that can back up your claim/assumption? The percentage of stakes allocated is much far between senior members and junior members. As it should be. This is one way to reward the contributions of those who supported this forum way before you even knew this. Moreover, it is really hard to get merit nowadays unlike in the past when merits would be given based on the quantity of posts. Except for few cases, merits are awarded to only the nearer and dearer. I've read a lot of similar topics/complaints already since the rule was implemented. While it may be true that there are those who abuse the merit system, there are also many who look for quality topics or comments. You should try to visit the Meta board. Anyway, if you believe your comments/posts are of top quality but they're not being rewarded, I remember there's a thread where you can post your post/comment link and they'll review if it's worthy of a merit. Sorry I did not save that link.

Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What happened to the Petro?

It never really took off. Aside from being a national cryptocurrency that's backed by oil and the news that pensioners were forced to accept Petro as payment, I haven't heard or read anything significant. I believe the crypto community in Venezuela prefers to use cryptos like Dash, LTC, BTC than Petro

Alternate cryptocurrencies / Marketplace (Altcoins) / Re: Bounty coming soon. Would you like to be the first to know about it?
|
on: March 24, 2019, 03:04:03 PM

... The purpose of this thread is to merely get a handful of bounty hunters who would like to be the first to know about our campaign. What exactly do you want from the bounty hunters who wish to see your campaigns first? If you just post your bounty campaigns here, surely many hunters will see it. Are you looking for beta testers of your bounty platform or what? Hello rosezionjohn! The purpose of this thread is to amass a handful of the first bounty hunters who would like to have a look at our bounty campaign and perhaps take part in it. I am also going to launch a thread for marketplace beta testers who are going to receive a reward for testing the marketplace and reporting bugs and rooms of improvements. Okay, so this is like a teaser post. I don't think this is necessary but have it your way. You could have just posted your campaigns and could have generated the same result.

What's even funnier is that it is now the bounty hunters who complains unlike before where investors blame bounty hunters The reversal of roles --- Many of these ICOs foolishly thinks that some of their investors really care about their projects so they do everything to "protect" them by locking bounty rewards. They think investors will keep on buying to drive the price up.
