1361  Economy / Speculation / Re: FBI Seized coins on the move on: June 12, 2014, 09:35:54 PM
forbes article, they are auctioning the coins at the end of the month.

this might actually be a good thing.. maybe it's time for wallstreet to group their money up and enter the game. the price will be relatively cheap too, considering the crater it has caused today.

bitcoins to be auctioned towards the end of the month, all 30,000 of them. you have to bid on the FBI's website. sounds like this might be affecting the price. http://www.forbes.com/sites/kashmirhill/2014/06/12/silk-road-bitcoin-on-the-move-as-government-prepares-to-auction-off-18-million-worth/

He is a committed liberal bomb thrower that thrives on the attention people give him. Kind of like the liberal Ann Coulter.

yeah, that's the person i would compare him to.. although i don't think he is as inflammatory as ann coulter. he's just the kind of guy that thrives off of controversy.

is it me or does anyone else find ann coulter hot? kind of like the way you are attracted to the village whore.

Do we need to notify Stunna when we move from member to full member? I didn't think we needed to.

Just bumping this up. Can anyone answer this for me?

No, we needn't. Spare Stunna this trouble, just change your signature appropriately... Cool

yeah, i think he skims over your activity rating before making the payout, just to make sure the rate you would be getting.

So any kind words or anything would greatly appreciated. And no this isn't a begging post, this is just a post relaying a simple fact.

I would really appreciate kind words because this is the 3rd family member in a months time that has been diagnosed with cancer. It's getting to the point where eating and sleeping is impossible, so please if you could I'd really appreciate it.

good luck to you and your family.

i think you might be perceiving us as negative because.. you probably operate differently from us. i know i don't like airing out personal issues on a forum, and i don't really look for people to empathize with my pain. i'm not saying i'm right or wrong for being that way, but just that.. that's how i am.
1366  Economy / Speculation / Re: Wall Observer BTC/USD - Bitcoin price movement tracking & discussion on: June 12, 2014, 08:19:13 PM
man bitcoin is crazy.. $8 jump within 4 minutes of each other. it was 599.1 and now it is $608.4. may sound like a small number, but to jump by that amount is so volatile.
1367  Economy / Speculation / Re: Wall Observer BTC/USD - Bitcoin price movement tracking & discussion on: June 12, 2014, 08:14:19 PM
whoa.. major crash, no end in sight! time to run for the hills.

activate panic button now!
1368  Economy / Invites & Accounts / Re: I want to buy your Member, Full member, SR. or Hero member accounts on: June 12, 2014, 08:08:43 PM
^ yeah, i should have done that when i opened my account last november. by now i'd be 200+ activity poins. but i don't really care that much anyways.

Why don't you do that then? There's no gurantee signature deals will even be around by the time you build them up, but you'd probably be better off just using the accounts to participate in a sig deal as you wouldn't get much more than what you can on them anyway.

yeah, at this point i don't think sig posting will continue very long.. i still have no idea how they can send up to 2 btc to a person per month. maybe they just want to grow in market share until bitcoin is really legitimate, and then that's where they'll make all their money?
1369  Other / Politics & Society / Re: GOP House Majority Leader Eric Cantor Goes Down Hard Tonight!! on: June 12, 2014, 08:03:05 PM
^ yeah, i'm hoping there are some people in washington who are fed up with money in politics. there is absolutely no reason why a presidential hopeful has to start their campaign literally 2 years before the damn elections.. that just means they have to make more promises to the large corporations.

another reason why i hate republicans: they are largely responsible for this new era of injecting money into politics. see "citizens united."

i think campaign finance reform + stopping the gerrymandering would go a long way in fixing our problems.. but they have too much of a stronghold at this point. and i'm sure there are people here who would be against it, but i kinda wish that the presidential campaigns were federally funded, and each candidate gets the same amount of money so we have a level playing field. it would probably do a lot to help the middle class, since we wouldn't have presidential hopefuls selling themselves to wallstreet, bankers, and large corporations.
1370  Economy / Speculation / Re: Sub 600... sub.. 500..? on: June 12, 2014, 07:58:44 PM
$100 is extremely unlikely.. especially without signficantly bad news coming out.
1371  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Expedia Now Accepts Cryptocurrency for Hotel Bookings on: June 12, 2014, 07:56:10 PM
the odd thing is that this news comes out and then bitcoin proceeds to drop by $40. i guess this kind of news doesnt affect speculation as much as we thought it would.
1372  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: I'm a little skeptical of BTC at the moment, thinking of dropping out again. on: June 12, 2014, 07:51:06 PM
^ it just seems like you were expecting to use bitcoin as some sort of get-rich-quick scheme, and it's not working out so well so you are feeling a little down and mopey on yourself.

what are you doing throughout most of the day anyways? if all u did was stay on here and post, you could earn $400 a month from sig posting.
1373  Economy / Speculation / Re: Wall Observer BTC/USD - Bitcoin price movement tracking & discussion on: June 12, 2014, 07:48:59 PM
I would pay a good amount of BTC for fonzie and his troll friends heads on stakes. This thread would be so much better without their stupidity and ignorance. Hell, the world would probably be a better place if they are that stupid in real life.
Yup (my last post was sarcastic).

I don't understand how we can have a small correction and then everyone is back to claiming we are in a bear market  Huh

it's because a lot of people here are the kind to panic. i guess they didn't get the memo that cooler heads prevail.
1374  Other / Off-topic / Re: NBA Playoffs - Which team are you rooting for? on: June 12, 2014, 07:42:24 PM
The winner of Game 4 to win the whole thing
My sense is both teams know this, game on!

not necessarily true imo.. if miami wins, it's 2-2 and spurs still have homecourt. spurs are also well rested.

Yeah, like I mentioned earlier, game 4 is always the most important because it either ties the series up, or makes it 3-1 and basically makes it a done deal...

yeah that magic #3 is elusive. there hasn't been a 7 game series where a team has come down from 1-3.. though 2-3 has happened a handful of times, like last year. but yeah, it looks like the heat might be getting melo too, such a cheat team.

I doubt they will end up actually getting Carmelo.   It is possible though if Lebron is willing to take less than the max salary, and they get rid or some people...

it's very feasible in my opinion.. and yeah, lebron would have to take a salary cut. wade and bosh are marginalized, so i could see them doing 5 years at 13 million each. maybe lebron can take something like $20.. in that case, it'd be 26+20 = $46 million.. which leaves plenty of room to sign melo.

so anyway, do you feel good about your chances of winning now keithers?
1375  Other / Politics & Society / Re: CNN national poll: Rand Paul 13%, Bush 13%, Ryan 12%, Huckabee 10%, Christie 9% on: June 12, 2014, 07:39:34 PM

you know who i don't like? harry reid.. that guy is ridiculous. i believe he was hating on the koch brothers, and when someone said compared them to sheldon adelson, he said "it's different with sheldon." that just means he's getting paid by 1 guy and not getting paid by another.

I'd not heard that about Adelson.  That would explain why he got the leadership position because little else that I've seen over the years could explain or justify it.

I appreciate the fact that you are not just some 'yes man' for the administration and are willing to call out both sides.

We need more free thinkers here in the U.S.
I feel one of the biggest divides we face is that everybody (in general, not every individual) has become so partisan throughout the United States. Their side can do no wrong and the other side and do no right. I can't stand FOX or MSNBC. They are both joke stations that are dumbing down our country.

(As an aside-I feel fortunate to live in a state where people don't just punch a straight party ticket in the elections. We have one Dem senator and one Rep senator. A Dem as governor and a Rep and state attorney general.)

i dont' have any particular party, but i do think that republicans and their base say way more crazy shit.. no, i dont' just think that, i know it. there is no one on the left who is a caricature like michelle bachmann, sarah palin, todd akin, herman cain, rick perry, allen west, or whatever other wackos there are. notice how the worst of the worst are in the tea party? it's not an aberration.
1376  Economy / Services / Re: New 400 BTC Bounty Pales Roger Ver's 37.6 BTC Bounty for Return of Stolen BTC on: June 12, 2014, 06:15:55 PM
roger ver is the exact reason why i wouldn't want to be broadcasting myself as some bitcoin millionaire.. but i can't blame him if he wants to do some startups, and people start noticing him. all i'm saying is i rather stay in the background if possible.
1377  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Australian government grabs money in bank accounts dormant for 3 years on: June 12, 2014, 06:11:11 PM
I'm going to link this article now every time somebody tells me paper money is safer than Bitcoins Tongue

This article is not about paper money. Its about money on a bank account.
Paper money is much safer.

Paper money is safer than bank account money, but do not means it is safe. Money can be stolen and damaged(burned, soaked, etc). I remember a notice about someone that saved 60k on cash at home, only to see more than half of that robbed by parents that visited their home. There are some story about saving's confiscations here, so I don't trust my money to be on cash or in bank anymore.

I remembered the episode of Futurama where he discovers that 1.000 years after the pennies left over in savings worth billions.

If it was in Australia he would be robbed!

In real world, billions would be equivalent to pennies in 1000 years. Just see some wild west movies, and the prices of things. A high paid federal judge's salary was about $200 dollars in the 19th's.

But I remember a story about someone that found some 1000's of bitcoins buried in a forgotten wallet. If they have been forgotten in a bank, they would have been robbed for sure.

and i've heard plenty of stories of people who lose thousands of bitcoins, because they either threw their hard drive away or formatted it.
1378  Other / Off-topic / Re: Why do people deny the climate change? on: June 12, 2014, 06:07:50 PM
They believe the scientific community is divided, that it doesn't exist, or that G-d wouldn't let that happen.

climate change caused by man is a 90%+ consensus among scientists.. but don't bother presenting facts to the GOP base. they don't want any of that. jesus is great.

p.s., don't worry if you are female and get raped.. your body has defense mechanisms against it apparently. and vaccinations cause autism.
1379  Economy / Speculation / Re: Wall Observer BTC/USD - Bitcoin price movement tracking & discussion on: June 12, 2014, 06:04:18 PM
are all the people who were anticipating a big surge... the ones who gave up and sold some of their coins? it's been sitting around the 600's for about 10 days now.
1380  Other / Off-topic / Re: I'm in love! on: June 12, 2014, 06:03:13 PM
