1223  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] [SFR] SaffronCoin First Multi Algo with X11 and Blake *Bittrex* on: June 16, 2014, 01:22:49 PM
Thanks for still believing us Tizen. We are from the start and we understand the community well and have been together during our hurdles.

The new ones joined and supported the community only due to the price hike but were never involved with our troubles.

We are back to Ground Zero. No problem we will rise up again as always! They will regret dumping.

Yes, fall to the ground to come back stronger!
SFR is the best coin I've ever seen, with a great dev team that listen to its community and who have greats ideas!

I think and I hope saffroncoin touch (the moon!) 0.001 BTC in a few month, I will support saffroncoin for long time as long as you, dev team, work like past weeks for your coin and your vision!

It's pure manipulation. Don't worry. Now I have 3 favorite altcoins for this year: DRK, TAC and SFR.
"Gotta have those fundamentals" first, you know?

1224  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][TAC] TalkCoin | First Anonymous Chat | First NIST5 | Vote/No Premine on: June 16, 2014, 01:14:36 PM

yes, R9-290 and R9-290X are more difficult to be set.
I am testing with --thread-concurrency 8192 and --gpu-memclock 1250 directly inside sgminer.conf and it seems more stable then before...  more tests will come out in the following hours...
I'll keep you informed

thread-concurrency doesn't affect much NIST5-performance (check the source code) I would not touch it. Play with thread-concurrency only bring you 1% more in my experience.
Important is delete all the *.bin file in sgminer-nist5 and set proper clock, intensity.

Yea pretty strange. Haters were not satisfied. But best time to fetch all this cheap ones.

Good time to buy for new comers!

Yup those that never understood are dumping. New ones who don't know head or tail about this will certainly get us back.

PRWeb have contacted us and will publish it all leading websites and magazines in 15 mins.

Wow dump fest now. The whale who want to manipulate SFR is really amazing. 100BTC to him is just like a penny to us.

djm34 sabotaged the nVidia advantage for TalkCoin a bit by doubling the AMD mining performance. Double Agent! Wink

TalkCoin Bittrex | BTC price: 0,00004338  Angry

Because of Bombadil's new calculator a lot of people realize that TAC is profitable, so they dump it. It happens everytime for every coin. Don't be surprice. Enjoy cheap TAC while you can.

No. It's because someone upgraded AMD miner. Doubling their hashrate.

Are they that stupid? What is the point of doubling your hashrate if everyone has the same advantage in the next days. It would be your advantage if you adopt it now but it won't last long. In the end you have the same amount coins for your rigs, but you pay more for the electricity.
But you have a point. Some people are very short-term. They saw their hashrate double so they think they can dump today for double amount of coins, so it drives TAC's price down.

Dont think small miner. Think big farm. Big farm are own by AMD. They have those since litecoin and growing along the way. Small miner leave when no profit but big mining farm usually stay and destroy all buy order. 100 gh farm upgrade is serious business. As small miner leave , they get bigger share. Making the dumping worst.
next time, I will ask for a bounty for not releasing the code  Grin (I will have to get better photoshop skill... )

question: how do you move file from one github rep to another one ?

Yep nVidia people are furious at you because you break their advantage, djm34  Grin

What is the config for 280X? I have this same configuration and any GPU mine at 7,27 Mh/s with sgminer of djm34. Thanks in advance. (Sorry for my english)

Update your drivers to 14.6 beta.
1229  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] Slimcoin : Proof of Burn NEW BLOCK GEN, Mineable by low power computer! on: June 16, 2014, 11:17:27 AM
Don't be selfish, it was agreed upon that we will relaunch the coin at block 16000. There is about 5k coins lost in my pool due to this.

It was agreed by those 2 forum members, the only two on this planet that can benefit from this.
Where is the official announcement from the dev about this?

Come on I think primer- has even wasted more of his hashrate than yours on this coin. Don't be angry about merely 350 SLMs. I have even lost more than you.

Primer- made 13BTC after launch, i INVESTED 10BTC in this coin, that's the difference.
It's not up to two individuals to deceide if i continue to mine this coin or not. Period.

Please continue mining on your fork and dont look back.

Don't be so rude at him, primer-. He scares that he lost money so it is quite understandable.
Ok one question for you bitspender, how much do you think your SLM will worth if the investors know that after block 16000 only few people are instamining this coin?

How many coin are currently in existing?

When is this coin going to Coinmarketcap?

Things are Looking great, keep up the good work!

Some1 plz enlighten me

Oh I have answered this question 2 times already. Please use search.
Quick:
1. 20*(60/20)*60*24* (number of days coin in existence) = around 4mil TACs.
2. No idea, but it should be soon. Someone contacts coinmarketcap already?

Btw djm34 you have waken up many beasts. Some people are complaining about your new miner here (me incl.  Grin)
https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=167229.msg7339716#msg7339716

TAC dump-fest now and diff doubled. Enjoy the hard times people. TAC is no longer profitable.

We can't contact coinmarketcap until we have a block explorer showing the total amount of coins mined.

It's a bounty of 1000 TAC for that

I know a few lads from the DRK team that might enjoy I bit of extra work, I'm sure they can setup a block explorer for us, I'm happy to pay for it, leave it with me...

Nice, Ignition75. I donate 500 TACs more for this task. Just tell me where to send it.
1232  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][TAC] TalkCoin | First Anonymous Chat | First NIST5 | Vote/No Premine on: June 16, 2014, 10:26:35 AM
with all this dumping going on. What if the next reward is 50 coins ? Anyone seriously looking to buy this coin ?

I'm buying, keep seelling please.

Need to somehow stop miners from dumping so the only way to buy is from the sell orders (price goes up) and not by placing low buy orders (price goes down)

You alone could not stop people from dumping. Investors want cheap TAC and miners dump as long as they make profit.
Some even mines TAC, set auto-payout to exchange and even set autosell. They didn't care about TAC anyway. The only matters for them is how many BTC they get after all. If you want TAC's price to rise, keep prmoting it. A lot of people knows about TAC then the price will rise.

Yea Aizen one of the members have already contacted that he will look to tweak the cgminer for non-merged blake so you can mine with gpu.
But this blake was only included to get it ready for merged mining later.

Wow multi algos with merge mining in plan? You should be the new bitcoin. Nice work.

Well many a times we feel that we have the greatest idea in the world. But probably infact we don't.
It is not about us but about what the market wants.
The reason we did not include skein or qubit even though they are very energy efficient is because they don't have a huge market. How many people actually configure their miners to mine skein.
It's all about meeting the demands of the public

Unfortunately you're right. So at least we should try a poll to ask people's opinion about that.
1235  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] [SFR] SaffronCoin First Multi Algo with X11 and Blake *Bittrex* on: June 16, 2014, 09:34:36 AM
Yes we will be looking at all of that once we touch the core of the code. We do not want frequent hardforks so we will only implement those algorithms and core features that actually would make us unique.

But we would be providing pretty cool frequent wallet updates with some new features in every update.

Yeah I agree. That's why I mention it now because it should be done soon. After SFR exploding in price and a lot of people know about it, such hardfork is not easy to do. Any algos which I suggest  doesn't make you unique enough? Wink It's like a dream coin IMHO if you could ever do that.
1236  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] [SFR] SaffronCoin First Multi Algo with X11 and Blake *Bittrex* on: June 16, 2014, 09:32:29 AM
Congrat Saffroncoin. You are the first who could implement such nice algos. I think for better future we could consider get rid off sha256, scrypt and even x11.
Instead we could add: pure-groestl (not myriad-groestl), nist5 (in talkcoin), twecoin (or jph(jackpot), x13). With this we could declare that saffroncoin is ASICs, FPGA-free for at least 2 years. To bad I did pay attention for Saffron earlier.

Thanks! We will let the community decide what they want. X13 is on our cards but we will look to implement it much later incase a better algo pops out in the open.

The facts that you could implement two others algos to the core myriad source shows that you are a very competent dev. And it is the most  important thing for a coin. Thus, I don't think it will be a problem for you to implement others algo to saffroncoin.
As long as people realize that X11 will be dominated by FPGA soon, they will scream about it. I know it takes a lot of your time but it worths. Please check out some algos which I recommend. It would be one great coin for a while if you could do this.
Btw I forget something. It would be even nicer if you could implement some CPU-algos. I recommend dcrypt from slimcoin, which is now still GPU-free. I know that no algo is GPU-free forever but it maybe worth a shot.

Great work.

We have blake that is only minable from the wallet with CPU for now because of the particular implementation if I understood correctly Smiley

That's right. But it will be change soon if people realize that SFR is profitable. If just matters of implementation incompability, which should be easy to fix.

It's not showing off that badly. This is taken from my profit calc:
#1=TAG: TAC | Name:Talkcoin | Algo: Nist5 | BTC/day: 0,003391286 | Coins/day: 65,2045036428776 | Best exchange: Bittrex | BTC price: 0,00005201 | BTC volume: 12,94295799 | Difficulty: 53,15219871 | Blockreward: 20,51
#2=TAG: JPC | Name:Jackpotcoin | Algo: JHA | BTC/day: 0,003291132 | Coins/day: 8660,87301921869 | Best exchange: Bittrex | BTC price: 0,00000038 | BTC volume: 36,74040759 | Difficulty: 622,12521386 | Blockreward: 47829,69

Diff hasn't risen, but it might take some time :p

So, did this last update also take into account the 10% boost? Wink You were talking about 2.8MH/s X11 for killer groestl before, but it looks like its 2.6MH/s  Cool

Why is this coin going down so much?
Thanks for dumping your coins  Smiley So many cheap TAC Smiley

Because this coin is still profitable for a lot of miners in comparison to x11, x13 coin. So they dump them without thinking. I must say it is a nice way for distribution of the coin. Any coin after going to exchange always has the dump-fest phase, which TAC is in now. Don't worry if you have faith on this coin just hold it. The price can't magically go up with the block reward changing. The only stable reason for price increasing is the people's adoption and coin's features. It is still too soon for TAC. We need to be patient. Look at DRK, they need 5 months to reach this current level, or another example Saffroncoin. A great coin and it stays unnotice for 2 months, now price goes up 4000% already.
Enjoy cheap TAC while you can. Remember, miners are mostly dumpers, they dump without any reason, as long as they have BTC in their wallet they are happy.
