Thanks for still believing us Tizen. We are from the start and we understand the community well and have been together during our hurdles.
The new ones joined and supported the community only due to the price hike but were never involved with our troubles.

yes, R9-290 and R9-290X are more difficult to be set.
I am testing with --thread-concurrency 8192 and --gpu-memclock 1250 directly inside sgminer.conf and it seems more stable then before... more tests will come out in the following hours...

thread-concurrency doesn't affect much NIST5-performance (check the source code) I would not touch it. Play with thread-concurrency only bring you 1% more in my experience. Important is delete all the *.bin file in sgminer-nist5 and set proper clock, intensity. |

Don't be selfish, it was agreed upon that we will relaunch the coin at block 16000. There is about 5k coins lost in my pool due to this.
It was agreed by those 2 forum members, the only two on this planet that can benefit from this. Where is the official announcement from the dev about this? Come on I think primer- has even wasted more of his hashrate than yours on this coin. Don't be angry about merely 350 SLMs. I have even lost more than you. Primer- made 13 BTC after launch, i INVESTED 10 BTC in this coin, that's the difference. It's not up to two individuals to deceide if i continue to mine this coin or not. Period. Please continue mining on your fork and dont look back. Don't be so rude at him, primer-. He scares that he lost money so it is quite understandable. Need to somehow stop miners from dumping so the only way to buy is from the sell orders (price goes up) and not by placing low buy orders (price goes down) You alone could not stop people from dumping. Investors want cheap TAC and miners dump as long as they make profit. Some even mines TAC, set auto-payout to exchange and even set autosell. They didn't care about TAC anyway. The only matters for them is how many BTC they get after all. If you want TAC's price to rise, keep prmoting it. A lot of people knows about TAC then the price will rise. |

Yea Aizen one of the members have already contacted that he will look to tweak the cgminer for non-merged blake so you can mine with gpu.
But this blake was only included to get it ready for merged mining later.

Well many a times we feel that we have the greatest idea in the world. But probably infact we don't.
It is not about us but about what the market wants.
The reason we did not include skein or qubit even though they are very energy efficient is because they don't have a huge market. How many people actually configure their miners to mine skein.
It's all about meeting the demands of the public

Yes we will be looking at all of that once we touch the core of the code. We do not want frequent hardforks so we will only implement those algorithms and core features that actually would make us unique.
But we would be providing pretty cool frequent wallet updates with some new features in every update.
Yeah I agree. That's why I mention it now because it should be done soon. After SFR exploding in price and a lot of people know about it, such hardfork is not easy to do. Any algos which I suggest doesn't make you unique enough? It's like a dream coin IMHO if you could ever do that. |

Instead we could add: pure-groestl (not myriad-groestl), nist5 (in talkcoin), twecoin (or jph(jackpot), x13). With this we could declare that saffroncoin is ASICs, FPGA-free for at least 2 years. To bad I did pay attention for Saffron earlier.
Thanks! We will let the community decide what they want. X13 is on our cards but we will look to implement it much later incase a better algo pops out in the open. The facts that you could implement two others algos to the core myriad source shows that you are a very competent dev. And it is the most important thing for a coin. Thus, I don't think it will be a problem for you to implement others algo to saffroncoin. As long as people realize that X11 will be dominated by FPGA soon, they will scream about it. I know it takes a lot of your time but it worths. Please check out some algos which I recommend. It would be one great coin for a while if you could do this. Btw I forget something. It would be even nicer if you could implement some CPU-algos. I recommend dcrypt from slimcoin, which is now still GPU-free. I know that no algo is GPU-free forever but it maybe worth a shot. Great work. We have blake that is only minable from the wallet with CPU for now because of the particular implementation if I understood correctly  That's right. But it will be change soon if people realize that SFR is profitable. If just matters of implementation incompability, which should be easy to fix. |

Why is this coin going down so much?
Thanks for dumping your coins So many cheap TAC Because this coin is still profitable for a lot of miners in comparison to x11, x13 coin. So they dump them without thinking. I must say it is a nice way for distribution of the coin. Any coin after going to exchange always has the dump-fest phase, which TAC is in now. Don't worry if you have faith on this coin just hold it. The price can't magically go up with the block reward changing. The only stable reason for price increasing is the people's adoption and coin's features. It is still too soon for TAC. We need to be patient. Look at DRK, they need 5 months to reach this current level, or another example Saffroncoin. A great coin and it stays unnotice for 2 months, now price goes up 4000% already. Enjoy cheap TAC while you can. Remember, miners are mostly dumpers, they dump without any reason, as long as they have BTC in their wallet they are happy. |
