1321  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][TAC] TalkCoin | First Anonymous Chat | First NIST5 | Vote/No Premine on: June 11, 2014, 10:48:18 PM

I mined TAC right at the start, then I stopped to allow other people to get some coins, I would have taken too much of the available supply...

Coming back now as it seems to have matured rather nicely and it's holding it's own on Bittrex...

I don't know enough about the developers to say whether or not it will be as big as DRK, but it certainly has got great potential... So far so good  Grin

I see you have been very active on the forum, which is great...

I read your story about you and your father. Sorry to hear that. Yeah I have mined a few TAC from the start but then change to JPC, should be able to make more money with JPC but I always see that coin as a joke so I cash out very early before the pump. I mined DRK at the beginning to but dumped it like other miners, so bought back 100 times more expensive than I have sold. Now TAC is the real another chance to make money so I need to be more active  Grin

If you have some plans to promote TAC please tell me if I could do anything to help. (But it's still too soon now, we need to mine a little more  Grin).
1322  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][BBR] Boolberry [ANONYMOUS | CRYPTONOTE | ADDR ALIASES | NO IPO/PREMINE] on: June 11, 2014, 10:38:24 PM

The polo trollbox says they fixed the bug.  My deposit from last night showed up.

Also, I've submitted another pull request to add hash rate reporting to simpleminer.  People mining on pools should use this in part to find a pool that responds rapidly and lets them have a high hash rate -- performance is still very pool-specific, and part of that depends on the latency between you and the pool.  Pool owners might try using this as a way to tweak their settings, too.
edit:  now merged - give it a try.

The changes that cubydu made seem very helpful, btw.  I'm able to get over 260kh/s on that pool (vs a bit over 300 solo) on an i7-4770.  I also didn't see the same kind of disconnect/reconnect problems that were happening yesterday.  I'd encourage other pool owners to look at those changes and apply something similar.

Prof. Andersen,
Any chance of solely compiling the simpleminer (without the wallet and daemon stuff) without boost 1.53? I only have boost 1.52 on my system and don't have permission to update to version 1.53.
Thanks in advance.
1323  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] cudaMiner & ccMiner CUDA based mining applications [Windows/Linux/MacOSX] on: June 11, 2014, 10:32:21 PM
I have tried to add another algo the the x11.cu, but all I get is
"result for nonce ... does not validate on cpu.

I tried to repeat the experience by adding a new layer of shavite (known to work) and again all I get is
"result for nonce ... does not validate (instead of boo... if for example I remove an algo)

Did I overlook something ? Is there a limit to the number of algo I can add up (and how can I change it ) ?

Djm34 wants to get us X13 before Christian. Hand clap to him. Bravo dude.  Grin
Btw X13 coins are almost craps now. The future is NIST5 Cheesy
1324  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][TAC] TalkCoin | First Anonymous Chat | First NIST5 | Vote/No Premine on: June 11, 2014, 10:30:02 PM
I might have spoken too soon, hashrate is a bit wild as well, give it 15 mins I'll let you know...

Ignition75 so you are the monster with > 700mhs at minep.it ?  Grin
I saw you at DRK thread. Nice to see you here. IMHO TAC has a lot of potential to become as great as DRK. What do you think?
1325  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][TAC] TalkCoin | First Anonymous Chat | First NIST5 | Vote/No Premine on: June 11, 2014, 09:38:23 PM
Diff is almost double now Sad I did hope that miners are crazy after JPC for a little longer so we could mine TAC @ low diff. But it will not last Sad

The end of X11 and X13?

Dude you don't want to see 100Ghs X11 network jumps in TAC right now, don't you?  Grin
I want to keep mine cheap TAC a little bit more.  Grin

Btw good work, dude.
1328  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][TAC] TalkCoin | First Anonymous Chat | First NIST5 | Vote/No Premine on: June 11, 2014, 07:03:28 PM
That's very cool! Keep it up everyone. Smiley

Yeah well done. Price stays stable and increases by little. No pump & dump coin. Very healthy grown. Keep up good works, guys.
1329  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][TAC] TalkCoin | First Anonymous Chat | First NIST5 | Vote/No Premine on: June 11, 2014, 01:10:34 PM
Someone wants to have TAC so desperately @ Bittrex. Don't sell cheap, because you will regret it. The next block reward will be lower than now. And the dev will change the voting system so it will take very long voting period to get back to over 30 TAC block reward again.

I won't sell, if TAC reaches 100k sat maybe I will consider to sell a little bit.
1330  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][TAC] TalkCoin | First Anonymous Chat | First NIST5 | Vote/No Premine on: June 11, 2014, 10:57:59 AM
noticed new commit on miner 6 hours ago

"Fix network difficulty display and other improvements"
https://github.com/talkcoin/talkcoin-miner/commits/master

I need a win executable file
Copy-paste the new in old talkminer and Replace the old files by new. Now I'm testing the new version in 5850HD GPU and looks good. Legend "Waiting  pool work bla bla bla..." again.

Hi - updated miner has been released, you can download it at: http://talkcoin.org/talkcoin-miner.zip, source is at: https://github.com/talkcoin/talkcoin-miner
any number regarding the new miner ?

Nothing changes concerning the performance, djm34. Only stability improvements, which certainly doesn't have with Linux version.
You can go back to mine your JPC without worring about TAC here Grin
1331  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][DRK] DarkCoin | First Anonymous Coin | First X11 | First DGW | ASIC Resistant on: June 10, 2014, 09:43:38 PM
It just becomes a habit. I'm happy when seeing the trollers are back. That's a sign. Everytime when they go back, that means the price's rising. I don't even need to check mintpal anymore.  Grin
1332  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][TAC] TalkCoin | First Anonymous Chat | First NIST5 | Vote/No Premine on: June 10, 2014, 09:10:53 PM
9.7BTC would bring TAC to 10k sat and 11.5BTC dumping only could send us back to 1200 sat.
The situation is very good.

1334  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][JPC]JackpotCoin, Jackpot 53 million, ~31 BTC! on: June 10, 2014, 08:56:38 PM
I fear that the pump is over. Now JPC is on all profit calculator so a lot of big guys jump in. And they just mine and dump, nothing else. JPC has done well, beyond expectation. But I dont think it will go over 100 sat. Sorry to say that guys.
1335  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][TAC] TalkCoin | First Anonymous Chat | First NIST5 | Vote/No Premine on: June 10, 2014, 06:02:43 PM
It is a good choice. the price has dropped a bit ...

Don't spread FUD. The price won't change because the new block reward just changes now. All sell order < 3500 sat from early miners are from days before because TAC was one of the most profitable coins for days.
1336  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][DRK] DarkCoin | First Anonymous Coin | First X11 | First DGW | ASIC Resistant on: June 10, 2014, 05:49:20 PM
I'm now fully back in the market, this time with a Jackpot coin hedge, so I don't care if the price goes down from here.

I feel so ultra-safe I might even buy another masternode !!!  Cool

Lets not be delusional, all it takes is one mistake or one delay to cause huge problems. That's the risk we take.
what happened to the price??
 Sad
While I still have my core holdings, I've sold all of my coin I use to trade and lower my price point.  Reason being, the fundamentals, at present, have changed.  Darkcoin currently has a centralized point of failure.  Granted, it's only temporary according to Evan and I do believe in him as a coder, but until DRK does not have a centralized point of failure, I cannot invest more and feel the trend will be down as I know I'm not the only person who feels that way.

https://darkcointalk.org/threads/help-test-rc2-forking-issues.1009/page-26#post-7730
Wow. Great work, Evan. But with this we have another problem. The price will rise again. I miss my cheap DRK. Sad
1337  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][JPC]JackpotCoin, Jackpot 47 million, ~40 BTC! on: June 10, 2014, 01:09:52 PM
too many invalid, are people using the corrent miners? or chinese are trying to mine this with not coded well fpga lol

Why we see a big whale miner, everyone came to conclusion that fpga or asics? I know someone in Germany with over 300 AMD 280x. And this number in China/Ostasia is even more. They heavily invest in this, it is not like us mining for some bucks and fun. There are true serious business.
1338  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][JPC]JackpotCoin, Jackpot 47 million, ~40 BTC! on: June 10, 2014, 12:22:26 PM
Wow someone with 1.8Ghs Jackpot on hashatme.com.

What a monster.
1339  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][TAC] TalkCoin | First Anonymous Chat | First NIST5 | Vote/No Premine on: June 10, 2014, 06:49:00 AM
Oh come one guys. Bittrex is already a good exchange. Don't bring our kid to battlefield when it isn't ready yet. We focus on features first, then if the volume is high enough, big exchange will automatically add us.
Btw IMHO bittrex is now much better than poloniex.
1340  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] cudaMiner & ccMiner CUDA based mining applications [Windows/Linux/MacOSX] on: June 09, 2014, 08:47:13 PM
As I've told in here before, I'm making a profit-switcher for cudaminer/ccminer. I've almost completely finished reading and analyzing loads of api's: whattomine, cointweak & coinwarz for diff, blockreward, etc & the prices are grabbed directly from either mintpal, cryptsy or bittrex (using the largest volume for defining the price).
But for Quark, I've stumbled upon a problem; my BTC guesstimate is way too lowfor what Coinwarz and my experience with Quark predicts. For the other Coins, it seems right. Anyone care to figure out what's the problem? Tongue
Pastebin with results for one gtx750ti, Quark coins are at the bottom: http://pastebin.com/RMBUFNZN

EDIT: I opened a new topic here: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=645845.msg7217731#msg7217731
500TAC bounty Cheesy
Problem fixed ^^" https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=645845.msg7218700#msg7218700
It should've been Math.Pow(2,24)

New profitability output Cheesy http://pastebin.com/KAmrKpk4

And yes, it will also monitor the miners @ work. But you'll need to have patience, problems like these are arising continuously Tongue Crypto is a strange beast.

How comes that JPC's profit is only 1/2 of TAC and some X11 clone coin? You get the wrong diff for JPC, right? Or wrong price? Check it, dude.
