block reward drops 10% so the price should go up 100%, it is logic, right?  Grin

Save us #1 DRK wallet Jesus

Haha even you're panic right now anonymousxx1503?
I thought you would say: thanks for the cheap DRK ?

Why?
1363  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][TAC] TalkCoin | First Anonymous Chat | First NIST5 | Vote/No Premine on: June 08, 2014, 09:53:15 PM
I bought a few thousand today for 3k sat. This is the first coin I have ever bought that I don't care about the price. I want them not for speculation but because it's a really cool idea and they will actually be useful as opposed to pretty much every other scamcoin, who's only use is to make more btc.
What a concept, not feeling like I'm holding some worthless vaporware that I'm hoping to dump on some sucker for more than I paid. I really think this could skyrocket because of this feeling of owning something of actual value and use.

I could say that you are lucky. It is the same like buying DRK @ 0.0001 / BTC when it first comes out.
Unfortunately my BTC are all in DRK right now so the only way for me to get TAC now is mine and hold.
Yeah that feeling is nice, not like some shitcoins you buy and waiting for the hype to dump.

what settings to use 280x, 270, 7950?  Angry

Hi this is my setup

280X -k talkcoin --thread-concurrency 8193 -I 19 --lookup-gap 2 --worksize 256 -g 1 - around 6.4 Mh/s core 1100 , memory 1600
270 -k talkcoin --thread-concurrency 8192 -I 20 --lookup-gap 2 --worksize 256 -g 1 - 3.5 Mh/s core 1120 , memory 1500
7950 -k talkcoin --thread-concurrency 8193 -I 19 --lookup-gap 2 --worksize 256 -g 1 - 5.2 Mh/s core 1030 , memory 1500

Cheers

Talkcoin-miner depends greatly on AMD driver. So you should get more hashrate with the 14.x driver. But for stability problem I must stay with 13.12 driver and satisfy with 6mhs for 280x
My settings
--thread-concurrency 8192 -I 23 --lookup-gap 2 --worksize 256 -g 1 -core 1100

Anyone has a good setting for R9 290? Thanks

A whale dump 150BTC from 0.016 to 0.014 and now people panicsell to 0.01? Why are people easy to manipulate? It's too funny. Who do you think will buy if you sell now? The same whale of course. That pattern was repeated at least 10 times with DRK and million times with other coins already.
As long you don't sell, you won't make a loss. Why sell when you know you will make a loss ? Panic? If you're easy to be panic, then shutdown your computer, delete your wallet.dat and go buy lottery ticket and keep dreaming. Congrat!

Given that I'm in Blighty

So we finally know the location of the Darkbank. Not so anonymous after all  Roll Eyes Grin

Its in London, actually. The centre of the financial world. But if we hit $300 by August, it could be moving to Spain. You can find me at the nice little bar around the Marina in Sotogrande, 20 minutes drive from mini GB  aka Gibraltar with their nicer tax rates.

I would visit you there and treat you a meal which was paid entirely in DRK. Ok?  Grin

all these new anony coins are pretty lame compared to darkcoin... except 1...but its a secret ;=)

Have I missed anything with all the excitement?

XC: It's going at it the wrong way (coin forwarding from wallet to wallet). They will have to change strategy.
Cloak: WTF, laundering through exchanges, yeah right.
Vericoin: Do they have anything working?
Pinkcoin: Centralized mixer
Cryptcoin: Do they have anything working?
Libertycoin: Do they have anything working?
Cinni: Do they have anything working?
NXT: Have they decided in favor or against anonymity?
Honorcoin: Do they have anything working?
Anoncoin: IP obfuscation / Dead (?)
TIPS: Central mixer / Dead (?)
Bytecoin: 99% premine of circulated coins
Bytecoin clones: Increasing in numbers every day diluting that field. MRO gets a special mention due to being the first clone.
Zerocoin: DOA (?) / delayed

If Digital Currencies Were Popular Technology Companies…

Quote
… Darkcoin would be Apple

Darkcoin made quite the splash when it was introduced to the public. The creators crafted darkcoin to have all the qualities that make bitcoin great, but with added functionality as a truly anonymous digital currency. Their hope is for darkcoin to become as ubiquitous as bitcoin, but to make sure that any and all transactions on the darkcoin blockchain can remain completely anonymous along the way.

If bitcoin is the Google of digital currencies, then darkcoin is certainly the Apple amongst its peers. Apple is notoriously opaque in their business operations, preferring to keep important decisions behind closed doors.

http://www.coindesk.com/digital-currencies-popular-technology-companies/

The bad news, or the rub for darkcoin investors? Coindesk says Bitcoin = Google

The good news, or the positive for darkcoin investors? Well, Apple has a higher market value than google  Grin

#drkwinning

coins101 please don't post such good news here.  We want to enjoy cheap DRK a little bit longer Sad
PS: Yeah btw excellent article. Now I know why I just fell in love with DRK without any reason. Yeah it's because it's magical like Apple 10 years ago (while Steve still alive).
1368  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][TAC] TalkCoin | First Anonymous Chat | First NIST5 | Vote/No Premine on: June 08, 2014, 02:10:01 PM
Email is free, if this coin became expensive why would you pay real money to send messages? not fudding, honest q

Yeah at first it sounds silly, but with email you got to broadcast your message through a server, that's mean if the server dies you can't sent your message. Another disadvantage is that NSA / government/your email provider could easily read your message.

TAC has demonstrated that it is possible to send another content p2p inside the blockchain, so it has a lot of potential to grow. And the message fee is to prevent spam at first, it would be change in the future if TAC becomes big.

Btw, diff has double already. People come back because they realize that TAC is wildly profitable.

There is may-be someone in the NSA office who has a TAC wallet  Grin
I think one of the inconvenient is that TAC chat will stay forever in the blockchain
(however you cant' read message which are older than a day, and it would be good if it was possible... not only for the nsa guy but also when you want to check an answer to what you wrote... )

That's the first step djm34, we could improve it to p2p encrypted chat. Now this broadcasting is silly and only useful for advertising, IMHO. But this coin is pretty new and it's pretty like DRK when it was born. New promising hashing algo and new innovative way to do with the blockchain. It just comes out in the wrong timing while everyone crazy about x11 x13 and the anonymous stuff.
But If a whale knows about this coin and try to pump it, it could reach at least top 10 in market cap.

Yep POS features would be very nice too. But I prefer only wallet with over 10k TAC could generate PoS block. It would be a killer thing, IMO.

Didn't think of that, pos staking could pay for messages. Interesting, I like coins with new ideas - they are so rare.

Yep look at JackpotCoin. At first I thought it was a silly idea and that coin is a joke. Dumped my 30mil JPC @ 2 sat. Now it is like 3 weeks straight in top profit coin charts and growing everyday. TAC is even better than JPC in many aspects, so this coin would be a real deal in the future. I'm investing and mining this coin like no tomorrow Cheesy

Price is rising  Wink

Still too cheap. If the next voting happens to be 6 TACs again, you could expect 10k sat price again.

Extremepool.org

We have adjusted some of the settings and are now finding blocks.
Found two in a row!! Join us now!

http://bbr.extremepool.org

Still no simpleminer for Linux and Mac? Where could I get source of BBR simplerminer for self compile?
Thanks in advance.

Hypertext messages

This feature will be not implemented, some people could send virus-infected links.

User channels with % of message fees go to the channel

In a next release, TAC chat fees and voting fees will be removed from circulation (sent to first genesis block, the genesis block coinbase is not spendable), this will be a good means to increase the velocity of coins, money will be continuously created and destroyed.

I finish your first two bounty:

myaddress:

Waiting your coins....
Cheesy
Will you add a rpc call port to the wallet to get the message in talking, so that i can add to the explorer...
Cheesy

How does the TOP 10 work? :-) im not in the list!

Yeah something wrong with the balances.  I have found my address but it's   at least 5 times lower balance. But it is nice to have some block explorer, finally.

PS: we're now at "blocks" : 128144. The explorer shows at block 26527. So I hope it is just only because the explorer still not syncs. It should be easy fix then.

It does not work, does it ?

It seems to work, but it takes at least every 15 min to accept each of my shares. So something is still wrong.
1375  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] Slimcoin : Proof of Burn NEW BLOCK GEN, Mineable by low power computer! on: June 07, 2014, 10:47:19 PM
Guys look at BTER, trade history. Four fake buy orders (total 20 SLMs) and xxx sell orders.

Fucking incompetent dev, thought he would make bank with confusion and lack of info but noo, at least we got mf... Smiley

Why are you flaming the thread so much, want to buy more?
If you really mine so much... why don't you promote as much as possible to sell your coins on a higher value.

Its too late to recover now. I did make bank, 13.4btc in total. I've sold at 0.007, 0.005 and some at 0.002.
I would not invest in this coin if it was backed by Satoshi himself. Its broken in many ways.

You see? You are the one who makes most money. So I understand why you're angry because your bank seems to be closed now. Should I be pissed like you too because I come a little late and even if I have 1/3 of your power, I could only get 300 SLMs now in my wallet, so I earn like 1/100 less than you. Should I? Sorry but I don't think so.   Wink

Big dump happening right now. Like anonymous1503xxx said, most of people in crypto have the attention ability of a 5 years old kid and that's why they need constantly new shiny things to look at and forget about what important.
The same happened with DRK before so I won't surprise anymore. Instead, I'm glad to have cheap DRK again.

The market has overvalued the coin.

I can read a lot of pessimism in your comments. Yeah maybe you're right. But like I said I really don't care much about DRK price versus BTC. Right now I'm holding more DRK than BTC. Maybe I'm stupid in some others opinion but it just feels like I feel in love with DRK.  Grin.

Coin-numbers adjusted (same number of DRKs / LTCs = 4.3mn) litecoin stands at 74.28$.

Are you sure?

Coin supply is only one half of the price equation. The other half is coin demand.

Why is there demand for ltc? I never understood what's so great about it.

Agreed. LTC is dead in water.

Originating from China.

Random or not ? If random, its a botnet and you know it.

My 20 high-end i7 4770k processors do around 100KH/s so 1MH/s spread accross 150 IPs sounds impossible unless they are all 32 cores

My i7 4770 does about 5.3Kh/s  Huh Huh Huh Huh Huh Very doubtfull your telling the truth here...

Haha you don't know some big farmer out there. ypool or gpool alone they have ten times of this power.
primer- said that he got around 1k SLM daily. At current diff that means he has around 400khs. It is pretty big already.

I've got 180KH/s + 9% of all burned coins ..

Ah ok i forgot the burned coin thing. Pretty interesting through. Thanks for pointing me out. I should try to burn my coin as well Cheesy

It seems pool is back again. Looks not steady.
Set up both a pool and a solo miner, give the pool one a higher priority - if the pool works, that should use all the processing power, if the pool is down that miner uses almost no processing power and it goes to the solo miner instead.
( Or you could just solo mine, if you've got a fair amount of processing power to begin with. )

You must have come from some other coin-land, let me remind you, solo is almost impossible with slimcoin wallet, rpcthreads is not supported so you are left with 1. running a full wallet on every node you mine off or 2. err i'm not going to bother describing my set up, it works but i have to keep an eye on all wallets 24/7. Simple restart script wont work as i have to rebuild blockchain databases every couple of hours.

Totally agreed. This coin is very buggy. If you just mine and dump, this coin is no longer profitable.
btw I just see some whale with 1Mhs at the poola. Is that you primer-?  Grin
