I nearly got all my DRK back but then it just ran away from me when I was 250 DRK short of my master node  , like a hare in the headlights - right out of sight.

My opinion. I'm agree with you. The voting system is great, but use it for the reward is not really good idea for the coin. When miners are happy, inverstors are worry about buy; and when inverstors are happy, miners are worry about to mine... Because in some days the reward could have a radical change up to 50 times difference.

I think would be interesting to change that, in my opinion the best would be set reward in 25, or in the average until now. And since then begin with a halving, until the coin become POS. Because nobody will mine forever an altcoin.. and POS is great for this coin because we aways have opened the wallet for the chat, so it will be a way to mint coins at the same time.
I also propose POB, would be a great idea for this coin, as slimcoin do: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=613213.0  In our coin, in talkcoin, the coins used for the chat would be the burned coins, and the people more active in the chat will be the people that have more possibilites of find a POB block. We should call it POC, proof of chat. We would need a relaunch for that, but from my point of view, with these 2 things, the coin would gain too much interest:

1- Set a default reward, and halving until finnish the POW phase.
2- After POW, use POS and POC to generate coins.

Alex: Really all these CN children's disease will be patched and fixed soon. The coin is as you know new to public.
Evan is also patching/developing to get Dark finished/fixing small bugs because of youg coin age.


IMHO DarkCoin and CN plattform are so different from code base, dev approach, goals & community.
There should be no tension/competition or bashing between these two coins, because there is no reason for this.
They are not interferring each other.


All people working any kind of coin privacy project should coperate with devs/communitys from other projects.
We all want the same and can learn from each other.

I bought all of mine between 2 and 6, but I've already sold a whole pile and I'm not going to be doing any "crashing" with the rest. This isn't Mooncoin - it has some great fundamentals that can take it a long way.

I bought 10m jpc at 3 sat, got impatient after a week or so and dumped them for 3 sat. Sux doesn't it?  
It's funny, pretty much every first impression turned out to be right, but most times I lost confidence in myself and dumped before the gains happened. Every time I have ever dumped for a loss the coin came back over my original buy in shortly after. I've got to start adding patience to my gut reactions, which fade quickly when price doesn't move or sinks, tough thing to put into practice.
When I first looked at XC price was below 4k sat, it was its first day on Bittrex. After a minute of looking at the ann page I had this huge gut feeling that this was the one, this was going to go up huge. I bought 12k at 4k sat. That night it went on Pol and I dumped half of them when it hit 20k. I read the ann thread and had a fishy feeling about things, like it was another BANK, DRM or Liberty scam promising anon that would never happen. I went out had some drinks, thought about it more, came home and dumped the remaining 6k at 10k sats.
Classic case of sticking with your gut, which I wish more than anything right now I could go back and do it over. I ended up going back in at 100k and sleeping through the crash, my 3 btc profit should have been at least 50 btc. Very tough lesson.
