Another reason for the dump today  Grin
Spain lost again Holland, and a lot of whales bet on Spain ( I know one of them). So whales need fiat to pay for their bet yesterday, of course then they dump BTC whatever its price.
1282  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] Slimcoin : Proof of Burn NEW BLOCK GEN, Mineable by low power computer! on: June 14, 2014, 05:44:21 PM
There are already other coins copying proof of burn.

Yeah and they are copying its troubles too. Good luck with clonecoins while the original's still struggling.

I think we should throw a bounty for community take over this coin. I didn't the dev is incompetent but he's too inactive. I wouldn't do that if I know my coin is in trouble now.
Im willing to donate 200 SLM, how about you primer-,  rfcdejong, sandor111 ?

1284  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] Slimcoin : Proof of Burn NEW BLOCK GEN, Mineable by low power computer! on: June 14, 2014, 05:28:49 PM
Well I give up. Try at least 10 times with different nodes, including from  rfcdejong.
Always stucks at 10xxx blocks, no matter what. It takes forever to sync from start to block 10xxx and then stop to sync.
Good luck people.
1285  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] Slimcoin : Proof of Burn NEW BLOCK GEN, Mineable by low power computer! on: June 14, 2014, 04:27:08 PM
Who find most blocks? primer- or  rfcdejong ? So you two instamine SLM now without any competitor? Cheesy
1286  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][TAC] TalkCoin | First Anonymous Chat | First NIST5 | Vote/No Premine on: June 14, 2014, 03:47:58 PM
If I'm an investor, I would be far too scared to hold onto these coins knowing there's kids trying to cash in their allowance money with voting rights to the block reward...

IMO this needs to be addressed, lock it to 25 TAC block reward and let difficulty take care of the rest...

Or, if this is not a workable solution, your voting rights should be based on how many TAC you have and/or how long you have held your TAC, more voting rights should be given to those who are here for the long haul and want to help this coin grow...

I'm not instamining so I'm not concerned with temporary price fluctuations, for those of us that are here to see this coin be a success, hold your coins...

I realise the developer for this coin may not have English as his first language which is fine, it seems he has appointed a spokesperson who is very helpful.  However I think it's now time we put a delivery plan in place, with some rough objectives and dates, to give the community and potential investors an idea of whats in store both in the short and long term.

It's very pleasing to see a healthy network hash as well...

Here is his answer concerning my request about the block reward.
https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=619210.msg7242306#msg7242306

Any serious investor would scare if he's seeing some kids screaming at chat room about the block reward. IMO this problem need to be addressed first. Your idea is cool, but I don't think he would agree.

Why you want to kill the voting? It's fun and unique! It has been announced there will be more things to vote on soon too which sounds great!

Yeah it's fun for people who vote but not for some investors when he think the next days 50x more TAC could be mined. This kind of reward is ridiculous.
1287  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][TAC] TalkCoin | First Anonymous Chat | First NIST5 | Vote/No Premine on: June 14, 2014, 03:11:36 PM

I'm ready to hear your advices  Cool

If you never heard about JPC or some most important scrypt-jane coin then go to do research yourself. It's the money you earn not me.

Btw, some whale just dump 2BTCs worth of TAC and more still gets dumping on bittrex right now. TAC will be back to under 5k sat today. See what happens and ask why I did warn you before.
I think he's pissed off with some kids trying to the moon with TAC.

Cool now we are down to 5200 price.

100MH will fetch you a nice cool .024 BTC a day LUTZ!

The kids should learn their lesson, a lower block reward does not automatically make TAC's price higher.
1288  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] Slimcoin : Proof of Burn NEW BLOCK GEN, Mineable by low power computer! on: June 14, 2014, 03:03:40 PM
Ok, we are on a fork for sure, only 2 nodes from the list are actually on the current block.......

which block are the others on then, if it split..

Fork again? The slm.blockquarry.com pool shows current block at 14988. Seems to be right fork. We can try to add the pool address to our nodes, right?
1289  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][TAC] TalkCoin | First Anonymous Chat | First NIST5 | Vote/No Premine on: June 14, 2014, 02:45:49 PM
Ok voting is finish. 20.51 TAC per block now. You think TAC price will go up 10% ? I bet it will go down.  Grin
1290  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] Slimcoin : Proof of Burn NEW BLOCK GEN, Mineable by low power computer! on: June 14, 2014, 02:27:38 PM
What is the net current block? Damn my daemon stucks again. Redone countless time. Slimcoin should have the title: "most buggy wallet/daemon in the whole crypto history".
1291  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] Slimcoin : Proof of Burn NEW BLOCK GEN, Mineable by low power computer! on: June 14, 2014, 01:50:28 PM
new block and diff went down even more, soon my wallet is going to find blocks by soloing lol
"difficulty" : 0.00839000,

So far i have not missed a block so good luck Smiley

grr, you have too much mining power

"blocks" : 14983,
"difficulty" : 0.00761168,
"networkghps" : 0.00006192,

I;ve got around 100KH/s so "networkghps" : 0.00006192, = 6000KH/s ?
rpcthreads doesn't work. How do you solomine? Within wallet for each PC again?
1292  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] cudaMiner & ccMiner CUDA based mining applications [Windows/Linux/MacOSX] on: June 14, 2014, 01:20:27 PM
How many H/s (cryptonight) you got using your NVIDIA miner ?

trade secret

wow.  much hash.

People Christian need to earn money in order to pay for the Munich Biergarten.  Grin
It's ***king expensive there. So everyone who mentions about Cryptonight now will be banned. Me including of course.
Sorry Christian I split the bean and now people whining you about the new miner. They should be happy with X13 and killer groestl.
1293  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][TAC] TalkCoin | First Anonymous Chat | First NIST5 | Vote/No Premine on: June 14, 2014, 12:27:36 PM

he and others want to be able to mine the coin and not throw electricity for nothing in return...

at current reward 30MHash/s gives you 120TAC/day around 0.009btc/day (for 3 cards  Grin... two words: NOT PROFITABLE)

Getting 100Mh average with 12 x 750ti for 910W.

That's a lot profitable !

You call it profitable ? So you must be multipool miner for a damn too long time.

PS: I will vote to 50 TAC. Because a lot of kids will vote for 1 TAC so it would be the best for the coin to stay around 20-25 TACs block reward.

aizensou just wants some cheap coins, dont listen to his FUD

how so, 6 cards would be 0.018, it is very profitable, everything above 0.01 for 6 card is profitable

Yeah if you define profitable as earning 0.5 $ daily for one 750ti after paying the electric bill. There were a lot of coins which are more profitable.
1294  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][CACH] CACHeCoin released based on scrypt-jane on: June 14, 2014, 12:27:23 PM
thx, it up to 6.7khash now running under linux @ stock clocks.

Still bad. Try my conf:

"launch-config" : "t5x24",
"batchsize" : "4096",
"lookup-gap" : "2",
"single-memory" : "1",

LOL the first time someone calls me FUDer.  Grin It's hilarious.
I bet that I have 10 times more TAC than you. And I'm greedy so of course I want to have more cheap TACs.
1296  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] Slimcoin : Proof of Burn NEW BLOCK GEN, Mineable by low power computer! on: June 14, 2014, 11:52:43 AM

The other pool (slm.blockquarry.com) has also been stuck at block 14977 for a while.
Is taking them 60x longer than usual to find a block, something is definitely broken.

You see that?

121.50965807

Difficulty

If TAC reward happens to be lower than 10 TAC, you will see what happens.
1298  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][CACH] CACHeCoin released based on scrypt-jane on: June 14, 2014, 11:34:52 AM
just wanted to test this coin out. on a single 750Ti I get 4.1khash/s - is that ok? I somewhere read something about 25khash?  Huh

The new n-factor is the culprit. But you should get 9khs at least. Try lookup-gap 3 and batch 4096
1299  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] cudaMiner & ccMiner CUDA based mining applications [Windows/Linux/MacOSX] on: June 14, 2014, 11:17:45 AM

AMD also got a significant boost in nist5 with the 14.6beta drivers as well.  Not as significant as ccminer v1.1, but still pretty good.

That info is around for a while but not a lot of people are willing to upgrade, because with 14.6 everything else is broken, except groestl and nist5 (some minor algos more which I don't remember).

Don't feel to bad for the AMD users.  They have a couple profitable algos that we don't have yet for nVidia like CryptoNight.

CryptoNight for GPU is not profitable as others algos. The only profitable cryptonight miner now is in hand of Christian, which he doesn't publish yet.
And I don't think of many profitable algos for AMD which we don't have. Could you elaborate ?

yes but everyone else has it now, so it's pointless, you just consume 10% more

No I don't think so. The majority of TAC miners are still AMD users. I know some monsters at the pools (over 600Mhs NIST5) and they are all AMDs. Those monsters are made up 30% of total nethash already.
1300  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][TAC] TalkCoin | First Anonymous Chat | First NIST5 | Vote/No Premine on: June 14, 2014, 11:03:51 AM
Those kids at the chat room still screaming with 1 TAC block reward. They seriously still think that someone will automatically buy TAC @ 70k sat if block reward becomes 10 times less ?? WTF? Who will buy  a lot of TAC at that price without any killer features ?? And who will buy if the next week block reward suddenly becomes 40 TACs?
There are still a lot of shortsighted kiddos now. Haizzz.  Undecided

PS: I will vote to 50 TAC. Because a lot of kids will vote for 1 TAC so it would be the best for the coin to stay around 20-25 TACs block reward.
