I would disagree with you here. We all have seen how the BCCI changed, after Sourav Ganguly took over as the president. The organization is now more transparent and I haven't heard about any complaints regarding corruption or nepotism. He was instrumental in getting Rahul Dravid as the coach of the national team. I believe that the same will be the case of ICC, in case a former player such as Kumar Sangakkara or Wasim Akram becomes the chairman. These guys will always prioritize the sport over money.

Case of icc is different from that of bcci,  while bcci is controlled by India ICC is joint venture of India, Aus and NZ. No matter  who will be head of ICC, decision will be made that best suits big3 needs. Big 3 never wanted more teams to join cricket since that will destroy there monopoly, icc is fully supporting that doctrine.

Unless there are some big changes in the personnel of ICC I don't think this is going to change. The reason why the fans are not too worried about it is because the fans are mostly interested in the bigger teams and the bigger tournaments like the IPL and the world cup. The fans generally don't watch the matches of associate teams.

The smaller boards are supposed to be greedy in this situation because they don't have the money that the big four have. and that's what they utilized properly in this situation.
The smaller boards have to think about their future also. that's why it is really easy to drive them in my opinion. but if the smaller boards had unity between them, this could have been avoided. when the people who can make the difference are not honest, these things will happen no matter what.

Your point is absolutely correct. It's small boards that are giving strength to big3, if all small boards unite then big3 can't do anything. Now because of IPL, bcci is getting huge importance from all boards since nobody wanna miss his piece of cake.

IPL is only benefitting the pig-4 boards (maybe CSA and WICB as well), as the foreign player release fee (20% of the contract amount) is calculated in a very asymmetrical manner. The vast majority of the overseas players are from England, Australia, New Zealand, South Africa and West Indies. The other 6 test nations, as well as the associate nations receive almost zero contribution from the IPL. Ideally this 20% payment should go towards the ICC and they should redistribute this amount equally among the other nations.

But at the same time, UAE is also benefitting in a big way. Cities such as Abu Dhabi, Dubai and Sharjah are being considered as epicenters of match fixing. Facilities such as the ICC Academy employ a lot of locals and contribute to the local economy in a positive way. So we can't say that it is just a one way street.

Well, at least we are hearing some good news for the Pakistan cricket board, right? They have been suffering a lot for a long time and recently it looks like things might change in favor of them. And this also means that we are going to see a lot more cricket taking place in Pakistan. This is obviously great news for Pakistan.

How can India play games on keeping Pakistan away from International Cricket, the sole reason the teams were afraid of touring Pakistan is simply because of security threats and the attack against Sri Lanka team while they were touring and some of the players were injured with bull wounds and it was an unfortunate incident and hence there was no tour planned for decades. I suggest not to drag politics here in the forum.

Don't know whether the ruling is acceptable to everyone. Anyway, the decision of the Dispute Resolution Committee is final and can't be appealed. PCB was already in a poor financial state, and they got slapped with additional expenditure. My take is that since Pakistan toured India in 2007, the BCCI should have reciprocated the favor. The MoU may not be legally binding, but going with the agreement they should have done that. Anyway, now any such tour looks like a distant possibility, at least for the next 10 years.

Since it was financially in favour of India so Mumbai and Pathankot incidents were set aside. But when India was required to tour back they recalled Mumbai and Pathankot. India has taken full advantage of Mumbia attacks in establishing its narrative worldwide (they planned it very well) while Pakistan is the one who suffered this incident - Pakistan government spokesman said years back.
