1641  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Best way to earn Bitcoins? on: April 06, 2015, 05:37:18 PM
The best way to earn Bitcoin is:

1. Do some freelancing
2. Earn your salary in fiat.
3. Convert the fiat cash to Bitcoin.

Spending time and effort in faucets is simply not worth it.

This probably the most effective out of all the response.

Getting a real skill, to code or being to work as a freelance in general. But, most dont know how to really start out in getting clients though. If anyone does this route, be sure to network with other freelancers that have similar skills that you need as well or line of work.

You can then get better instant business by having warm referrals through other freelancers, or partner on with another freelancer as their outsource.

eg: if you are are designer, coder, etc

1642  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Did you earn some bitcoin today? on: April 06, 2015, 05:26:55 PM
Yeah, just earned .1btc from a friend.

I told him recently all the bs btc history and what to focus on and charged him while at it.  Smiley Not only that, he owed me money prior anyways so he discovered and learned something new at the same time repaying me lol.
1643  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: What is a good cloud ming site on: April 06, 2015, 05:23:45 PM
Stay away from cloud mining sites they are illegal and very dangerous and you or someone will lose all of their cois

You are saying about "Ponzi/HYIP" not cloud mining. Cloud mining are real and legal but risky. You should do your own do diligence before investing because of the fluctuation in BTC value.

I wouldnt bother with most that are out there, even the legit ones can dip out at anytime.

The thought of that makes me cringe. I dont know about you but whats the point on me dumping money, knowing that its like I rather blow out my money anyways at primedice knowing I tried and had fun with it.

Companies like KNC that forced all their "im sorry" you gotta adopt our cloud mining is all questionable behavior to their old customers making them lose like $500+.

1644  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: ButterCoin CLOSING on: April 06, 2015, 05:19:50 PM
Strange, they have received $1.3 mil VC and they says they were not able to secure enough of VC. Only 9 employees.
I do not think this is the reason for them closing down, maybe they were unable to cope with the competition.

Whoah, where the hell did that money go? $1.3 mil funding? and then only 9 employees wtf. how much are they paying themself?

dude these investors dont question on their payroll? if I started a company, I would pay myself nothing the 1st year, until I got even profit.
1645  Economy / Services / Re: Affordable phone verifications (Text Message and Voice) on: April 02, 2015, 10:50:17 PM
Not to drown your business away or anything, but couldnt anyone do this on their own by getting a google # that they can get for free.

I mean its just a matter of that person being lazy about it or not.
1646  Economy / Services / Re: [0.1 BTC BOUNTY] Name for 50/50 on-chain gambling site? on: April 02, 2015, 10:42:11 PM
You should post your source of funds being available 1st, before requesting anything out of us.

Such as a escrow funded account, so we know the funds are there and worth the time to suggest you a good site name. If not, its like doing free labor and not knowing if we did win you wont run since the account is funded.

At least show the effort of showing your address or tx id or something.
1647  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Anyone who pays more then Bit Mixer? on: April 02, 2015, 10:23:17 PM
op, you can check out a full list of comparison on the thread I provided, with details of conditions.

https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=615953.0

But just know that most of the ones havent been around a long time compared to bitmixer. Plus bitmixer pays on a weekly basis some campaigns do a monthly thing which is a bit annoying, but this is all based on preference.

I suggest though, if you do switch you might lose your position on bitmixer since they limited on posters eligibility and a lot of people been wondering if they can get on it which I`m sure theres a backlog of people.
1648  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: What is a good cloud ming site on: April 02, 2015, 10:16:31 PM
I'm using Hashnest (by Bitmaintech one of the largest ASIC manifacturer) based in China.
Mostly I'm buying and selling UMISOO hash power on daily basis.
Bitcoin price and UMISOO price are connected somehow and you can predict the future price of it via Bitcoin price.

Op, if you do decide going with what he/she suggested I would do your own homework. yeah its a common decent recommendation, but you have to know that their are other choices as well just as good.

Given example, comparing performance wise with the same cost of their machines to Spoondlies. They too also just started this, and have accepted even credit cards to buy your hashes, I think this route is way better.

If stuff happens you can at least protect yourself and call on a fraud case or open one.  Esp, if you are going to buy a bunch of hashes.
1649  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Any site to get quick BITCOIN for free.. on: April 02, 2015, 10:13:26 PM
Unfortunately, most of these places you get bitcoin will do a risk assesment on new accounts.

That means no matter where you go, you`ll have to abide their terms and condition which is what you did when you registered on their site. Given example like "Circle" similar to coinbase model on purchasing bitcoin, they actually honor depending on if they have your full info to hit you with if the deal goes south.

1650  Economy / Speculation / Re: Is 2015 The Year? on: April 01, 2015, 06:57:59 PM
Just because merchants are starting to accept bitcoin doesn't mean the price will go up or the bitcoin adoption will increase.

This year is a year of venture capital money flowing in like crazy, just look at the facts. There are graphs that show this. 2015 is the year with the biggest pump in VC money so far.
Actual BTC price will be stable. This is the last year for us peasants to get as much BTC as possible while its affordable to buy entire units of BTC.

I think the same was sort of true in 2014 but did not lead to the rise in the price of bitcoin then. I would hope for a stable price than a pump.

The same was not quite true over the whole of 2014.  2014 saw lots of good news, but in terms of VC capital, 2015 looks to be off to a far stronger start.

http://www.coindesk.com/venture-capital-funding-bitcoin-startups-triples-2014/

2014, at $314 million, more than tripled what 2013 did.

In 2015, we've already seen close to $200 million, and that was before the end of the first quarter.  The rate of money coming in this year is quite a bit faster.  There was a lot of positive news, but most of it was news suggesting things to come (and we still haven't seen them yet, but they're on the horizon) it wasn't enough to stem the tide of a necessary correction.

Also keep in mind 2014's price action was largely a downtrend as part of a correction from the crazy bubble that pushed BTC from $100 -> $1100.  The price was influenced very heavily by speculation, and it still is.

As you said, at a certain point we'll find a stable price, and then all of that news from 2014/early 2015, and VC money along with Wall Street stepping in will be quite ready for the next phase of the market.  Once there's little profit to be made from dumping and shorting, there's only one direction to go.
Sorry but it goes more like this:

"As you said, at a certain point we'll find a stable price"
^^^ Yes, and that price will be at low double/single digits, which will take a few years. By that time, everybody will be starting to adopt semi-centralised technologies that work in a similar way as the blockchain to move fiat currencies (like the IBM adept project or others), taking what's useful about this whole crypto movement (a distributed ledger to move any asset/currency around, and smart contracts ) and discarding the unusable bullshit (bitcoin).

(dumb) VC money in the bitcoin space (which is not a lot of money by the way) will suddenly realise that it has invested in a mini dotcom bubble that is collapsing. Everybody will look at bitcoin as the little volatile, irreversible, non scalable joke that nobody uses or needs aside from drug dealers, speculators, gamblers, and libertards.

The day bitcoins $1 per 1 btc will be some sight to see. the thing with technology you would have to use a source thats already been created. why bother re-create it in a new way?

And for wall street to come in, I thought they are already were involved. the dumb vc money is still a shit ton of money I mean if you think thats small money then you prob havent seen that in person.
1651  Economy / Speculation / Re: bitcoins lack of interest, lack of traction on: April 01, 2015, 06:46:37 PM
Comparing bitcoin to Uber in last 12 months is very valid.

Both are disruptive technologies to the status quo.

I have not heard bitcoin mentioned a single time in my daily life by people around me in the last 12 months, nothing, nada, zip.

Uber? maybe 200 times in the last 12 months.

that's how bitcoin needs to be, but sadly it seems to be trending the wrong direction.

Well, let's be honest here. Uber makes life more convenient for whoever's using it and maybe saves them money (I dunno).

Obtaining, storing and using Bitcoin is a ball ache right now, considerably more than existing options. It can potentially save you money if you're willing to swallow the risk. Most folks are going to think 'why bother?'.

Anyone who thinks otherwise has spent too long down this particular rabbit hole.

If it gets to a point where most people don't necessarily know they're using it but it is making their lives easier, that's when it might go places. I think some interesting uses will trickle out over the next couple of years.

A prime case is Abra. There was virtually no mention of Bitcoin, only the benefits.

Seems like most will agree with the statement "why bother?".

And no one likes to swallow the risk that can "potentially" save money. People want a definite concreate answer of saving not a "maybe". The sad part to all this, is that we havent reached a way to do that, because you have to re-educate people on how to acquire money.

This is why a ETF should be formed instead.
1652  Economy / Speculation / Re: Humans aren't rational. Bitcoin won't be a % of world economy, but a multiple. on: April 01, 2015, 06:27:41 PM
I read like 10 mins into the thread, then finally noticed the april fools joke.

Please no more, please lol. God damn april fools, all this makes me so giddy inside about bitcoin then when its a joke I feel so depressed that it still isnt a multiple and these stories just end up being more of a sad story for bitcoin.
1653  Economy / Speculation / Re: Greece to adopt Bitcoin as currency on: April 01, 2015, 06:24:33 PM
I was to say something along of how greece can afford to even adopt it, with its failure to repay.

but then I noticed the april fools joke as well lol.

If that was serious though, that would be something to see. Even the thought of that, maybe the greece can take a hint and say "hey why not use our leverage and market this so can pay back our loans through cashing out through bitcoin".
1654  Economy / Speculation / Re: 2 week target $160 on: April 01, 2015, 06:09:57 PM
Even some "bad news" (unless catastrophic) wouldn't lead the price to drop that far... remember there are multi-million dollar players in Bitcoin all over the place, they simply wouldn't allow such a crash to lead to prices hitting those kind of lows... they'd be buying up the coin themselves.

This is pretty on point.

The fact that one of founders of facebook, Chamath Palihapitiya like this guy.

Who has so much funds in bitcoin, he would prob go back and bring his own money to bring back up the price. The dude owns a basketball team the warriors, owns another sub sectior for stocks like people who sell shares of yelp in. Yes, he owns that too.

I dont think the price will effect much when they can hold their price.
1655  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: BTC-e deposit option PAYEER.com possible scam on: April 01, 2015, 05:54:35 PM
Or you could of just open a thread in the exchange forum, and state the following:

[WTB] BTC-e code for same preev value

along those lines w. a legit escrow and then apply the code on their to credit you. This is a very typical scenario where you send funds internationally expecting your money to appear ever again.

Its a common mistake with most who want buy the cheap rates at btc-e, but I asked myself whats a way to protect myself, if shit hits the fan? nothing.

1656  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Charity Miners Needed! on: April 01, 2015, 05:44:36 PM
If this is really legit, which I doubt it is, you should get hold one of the largest faucets.

They do similar this like freebitco.in does gives the options to withdraw or donate - out of the selections pm them to be added as your charity. But, know that theres already a existing charity for them to donate so best of luck convincing them.

If you are looking for a mining pool, - referring to your mining group scenario then your pm`s should be towards bitminer, or any of those guys.
1657  Economy / Speculation / Re: Chart experts please weigh in on: April 01, 2015, 05:24:37 PM
All this TA talk and about trendline really doesnt predict which way its going actually go.

But, if people call it on the spot of its for sure going to that direction that person must have some insight. Either if its a dox ready to happen to form a gridlock on mt.gox old days if thats possible and do it with the current exchanges.

As for the comment on not seeing a break out, yeah I cant see it either because the chart isnt zoomed to 1 hr time frames, 15 mins if I`m a intra day trader.
1658  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: terabox - no payout - cloudmining scam / ponzi on: April 01, 2015, 04:59:10 PM
Its great you built awareness of the whole cloudmining situation with terabox, but most people need to see it in the scam accusation thread as well.

I think that`ll help as well what you did here too. But, I would just add a little bit more detail on what happened, on the day you spent and what you got out etc. Most of those cloudmining sites are always some sort of ponzis to start with.

Unless you have a physical hardware in hand, its hard to tell which one will go down 1st, even the legit ones. You can see a bunch of people like KNC, burning their customers for not opting to their cloud mining service so its a tough place to be in for mining in general.

1659  Other / Off-topic / Re: Are you spending your Bitcoin? on: April 01, 2015, 04:51:30 PM
I had about 3 btc

Current holding .1btc

Reason: gambled away since I win and never learn to walk away like so many others. luckily though this is all non-paid and all earned bitcoin I accumlated which is a small amount compared to most.

I official hold on the amounts I earn now, and gamble less. It feels way better to see a balance of a solid 1 btc then a zero.
1660  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Paid per post on: April 01, 2015, 04:44:27 PM
Hello,

I heard and read that it's possible to make bitcoins from writing and replying to posts on this forum.
Is it true?

So far I wrote few posts, but I can not see my earnings...

You need to join a signature campaign first. Check this:
https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=615953.0

Most campaigns don't accept newbies but may find one. Or have patience and wait to increase your rank.

So theres several ways to go about this, since most dont want to wait.

But op, youre a Jr. Member which means you are not far away from being a Member. You can join a signature campaign very soon or you can skip all the process and go buy accounts in the auction thread.

You`ll see bidders buying an account which is fine as well. Its frowned upon, but people do it anyways since its okay by the admin.

If you are desperate for a temp source small income, you can consider that option or take up in the service section and open a thread of being a freelancer doing the same thing or other skills you may have.
