Economy / Economics / Re: Bitcoin to be international currency
|

Bitcoin could be an international currency if enough countries started to see it and respect it as a major currency and something worth identifying as a valuable commodity.
It could be the reserve currency if enough countries wanted the USD gone and wanted to move towards something not controlled by anyone specifically. That day, if it ever comes around, though, it's still a far ways away and we won't see any legislature or movements happening related to that for a long time.
That is all it comes down to in my opinion. Is too have respect for it as a currency. I wouldnt consider it a currency. It can be viewed as a something like a carrier service though, just like how its servicing now in other countries for exchange. More of a money service if anything else.

Economy / Economics / Re: What if US Dollar Crashes?
|
on: May 15, 2016, 07:25:00 PM

For me, it's impossible US Dollar would crashes. Even if it crashes, other currency will take over US Dollar place, like Euro or Yuan. I don't think bitcoin could replace it.
Fiat will just be replace by fiat also, when the dollar crashes most likely the euro will replace it as the top fiat currency in the world. The chance is really small that the US Dollar can crash and that is because it is still many used so that is nice for the dollar itself and you see of course that Bitcoin is getting more used and that is nice. But one thing that I can say for sure is that Bitcoin will be the most used payment method in the future. People only see this way based on government spending and the deficit. But theres no point on a speculating if the us dollar will die, and if it does die it pretty much screws everyone who holds it. At that point I dont know what to say but another possible world war.

Jesus Christ I need to get down there and buy some property while the getting is good.
Bitcoin is great for exactly this kind of thing but I'm sure the US dollar works just as well, and so would any other stable currency.
I dont think its worth investing if the country itself is too chaotic. Youre placing bets hoping the country gets back on its feet, and assume other support economic structure would be in play. You are better off just buying more bitcoin then some house at some remote country lol.

Yeah I didnt realize I was browsing Stormfront lol. There are plenty of reasons to hate someone other than their race.
I work with a guy from Syria, and hes one of the nicest, hard-working people I know. He works 3 jobs- computer programming by day, and manages two stores at night. Maybe not every refugee is like this but there are definitely good people coming from these countries.
Dont take this thread too seriously, cause apparently the OP`s maturity level is a 7 year old. Doesnt understand what to do with his own life and rather be destructive around others.

Economy / Speculation / Re: I'm All In - Sold My House!
|
on: April 17, 2016, 10:32:01 PM

The risk doesnt really out weight the entire situation..
Lets say he/she kept the house instead of getting bitcoin - they still have to wait for 10 years... to for an appreciate value. Thats 10 years!!
Not only that, what proves to the point of coming down to would be lodging for the remainder of their life time. So if they dont mind downsizing vs paying a smaller place for rent and leaving their money to free choices to make more money why not.
You gotta really understand that if they did keep their house, the house pricing is really caused by was 2008. So unless something similar happens, then I dont see a way for them to sell the house fast like they did with bitcoin.

If you have enough skill and great predictions on altcoins, then trading is the best for you. Sometimes you can earn 20x of your investment.
If you do take this route, I suggest what that altcoin serves. Eg: 8ball games altcoin serves a purpose because people would want to bet each other for playing 8ball. Something in that nature that follows some sort of demand, but also consider the pitfalls with altcoin as well.

Economy / Speculation / Re: How it will go to $0 again?
|
on: April 17, 2016, 10:25:41 PM

I'm sure it will not happen, bitcoin is a technology that is constantly evolving into a better direction, even bitcoin able to transform the economy of a country. I am not sure that the price will go back to 0$, that would be waiting for the gold price to 0$. The only happen if there is no internet in this world
anything can happen, we do not know whether bitcoin will continue to grow for decades to come. but I believe that bitcoin will last quite a long time for 10-20 years. so I never thought that we would return $0, even $100. Thats true, The road seems to be heading in that direction, A $0 is unlikely on next decades. Wouldnt that be some mind blown thing if it reversed right before halving... If that did happen, I would just be out of bitcoin completely and writing a helpful note to my self saying you never know what will happen next.

Economy / Speculation / Re: Anyone else think we hitting $10,000 this year?
|
on: April 17, 2016, 10:21:20 PM

Still less than 1k, way below the 10k proposed in this topic. And I don't know, most professional financial advise most of times do badly, I don't know if trust them only because they said what I want to hear would be good for my pocket I see more of $1k happening then 10k marker. But if we hit a $1k marker and see some crazy bubble happen to $7k then $10k, it would mean some exchange is ready to pop and open the can of worms they been holding..

... $10k is a sci-fi section value, unless we go to a scenario of global financial meltdown that would destroy all fiat currencies, dollar included. Even then, I am not sure if Bitcoin (at its current development stage) would be the currency of choice. At the moment the 'ancient barbarian relics' called gold and silver have much bigger recognition world-wide and thus better chances to be the emergency money. But the chances that such a scenario will happen are relatively low.
No - it is just a bubble scenario. Nothing unsual actually. Pretty much on point there. Its a similar case when manipulated events happen to make these prices rise like in 2012 mt.gox exchange. So if an exchange does shady acts in the same nature, Id see those prices.

Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Is Holding Bitcoin a long time good way to make money?
|
on: April 17, 2016, 10:17:11 PM

I still believe on bitcoin so I hold as long as possible. We can see that the world still adapting into bitcoin as payment transaction so need more time. If the time has come, bitcoin will got increased. For example : there are some hotel or restaurant use bitcoin as payment transaction. This will bitcoin growth !
holding bitcoin a long time is a good way to make money if the bitcoin price rises in long term. So far it worked out if you hold bitcoin for more than any three year period. Nah... Holding for so long is honestly really stupid, you should sell if the price drops more than 20% because otherwise you expose yourself to really big losses and as we can see bitcoin price doesnt look like it will jump to 1k any time soon Its more of a balancing act, which most people overlook. Esp when those margins fall below what they expect, and should protect in some other ways to sell immediately.

Transfer wise is not working for me right now. It says this Recipient is unauthorized.
Theres not many options then, esp when transfer wise is a good transfer service for international payments. I mean you can try googling other international money transfer services, but there isnt much out there compared to transferwise. I can only think of is a basic bank wire transfer.

in my exprienced, i ever earned 0.3 bitcoin a day by join with a platform here, so far this is the fastest way for me to earn bitcoin, contribute in new altcoin project is good tho, or maybe buy cheap altcoin and waiting untill the price up, but you must be carefull there so many shity or scam altcoin out there, anyways i've invensted my bitcoin on lisk let see what will happen
Can i know if what platform earned you 0.3 bitcoin a day? People are finding it hard to earn 0.3 in a month and you earned that in one day, that is great. Maybe some lucky people earn that much with gambling in no time, or some skilled traders may do that in a day, but without trading or gambling that seems to be very hard. 0.3 is if you know how to trade, but not a guarantee. Only way I see anyone doing this is if they actually buy a used miner for cheap and sell it off ebay worth 0.3.

I`m sure if its a serious bug like this they would pay.
They would, if you just mention or word it the right way. Imagine an exchange needing more bitcoins because of a possible withdraw method like this spreads..
A company like coinbase doesnt want holes..

Whats the solution?
There is none. Its either adapt to the current system or just fall to the side like everyone else. If the 1% of america built into their system for their own game, you need to do the same on your own terms until you hit a similar reach but on a smaller scale.
