1201  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Where can u get bitcoins? for free on: July 21, 2015, 03:23:29 AM
Guys?

yup, you can download coin flapper from playstore and win upto 600 satoshi per tournament and there is a limit of 200 games per day.

nothings really free lol.

think of how much time you have to spend on that game to get a decent balance like similar to a faucet. if theres other methods id stick with posting lol.
1202  Economy / Economics / Re: How to save money. on: July 21, 2015, 03:20:56 AM
Most people will never be responsible with money. They don't understand it, and certainly don't respect it. That is why wealth flows from the irresponsible many to the responsible few. And that is how it should be.

Not entirely true. The richest 1% in the world are just greedy banksters and swallow up everything for themselves by explotiing the poor and those who lend money from them. Many people live in poverty throughout the world without any hope of changing their life and that's not always their fault.

You forget the other 1% thats in other countries as well.

Bankers yes, but there are also huge whales like who own a good amount as banks like the people who own every single factory in china or impor export routes.
1203  Economy / Economics / Re: Let's Be Honest. We Are Waiting for $100/BTC to buy on: July 21, 2015, 03:18:43 AM
I can't imagine if that is possible (price collapsing to below 100). Judging by the buying sentiment I'm sure everyone would want to get their bitcoin paying lowest price as possible. Even if the whales wants to manipulate and dump it to that low level, they will also be taking a huge risk. Unless you are talking example, a security loophole in the blockchain, that could probably causes a panic sell.

you ever know lol.

I mean yeah the odds are super low to go below 100 price point, but what if something drastic happened like bitcoins transactions needed more confirmations times.

small details like that can dent the price.
1204  Economy / Economics / Re: Why have Bitcoin instead of cash? on: July 21, 2015, 03:16:45 AM
Some more points i would like to add:

1. It is really fast (When you pay a cheque from another bank into your bank, the bank will often hold that money for several days, because it can’t trust that the funds are really available. ) , unlike today transactions are pending for 2-7 days for confirmation.
2. No government can take it away from me , if i use it wisely they cant even track me  Tongue

This is probably the only few reasons why I`d stick with bitcoin.

But, my worry would be what happens when those transactions take like 2 days max and gets longer since more forks or not enough.

If we had no problems with forks bitcoin would be really flawless.
1205  Economy / Economics / Re: What do you guess about he future of bitcoin? on: July 21, 2015, 03:14:46 AM
As far as the future goes, I would expect it to stick around for a few years, but it will never be anything more than a niche currency.
The problem with it is its volatility. It could rise or fall large increments, all before lunch, which makes it pretty terrible as a currency overall.
People still look to it for some huge investment opportunity like it was when it first emerged. Back then people literally became millionaires in some cases. But that bubble burst long ago.

as longs as the market cap remains the same we will continue to have the volatility around us. but then again, volatility attracts people.

the market cap wont always remain the same, since supply and demand increases but it would be nice.

and yeah, most people get into bitcoin because they see it for like a stock thats waiting for explode which is the volatility.
1206  Economy / Economics / Re: Is it better to save money or invest it? on: July 21, 2015, 03:12:27 AM
"Saving" is investing without knowing where your bank puts the money.

If you have the time and knowledge, you should clearly invest. If you don't have it, then saving is still not a bad option.

In cryptocurrencies, if you don't have time to look for good investments, look at concepts like Proof of Stake and Proof of Burn.

Invest in what though?

Stocks? I have a friend who makes 80k through daytrading and he does nothing with it, but to daytrade even more and leaves it in there since ameritrade gives you 1% lol.
1207  Economy / Speculation / Re: How many bitcoins do I need to retire in 20 years? on: July 21, 2015, 03:07:29 AM
all know bitcoin potencial is unlimited but let me ask you would you pay 10k dollars for 1 bitcoin? some people paid 1000 dollars and regret it ,anyway  i believe on potencial but i guess to retire on the next 20 years i  dont see bitcoin on such value may happen

Berkshire Hathaway shares cost over $215,000 yet people still buy them. Why? They rise in value. You can also buy fractions of them just like that pesky Bitcoin stuff.

They rise in value since of warren.

If its not for warrents cash injection on how he buys big companies for a deal, and increases them the hathaway shares also forms a crowd funding in a way so he can do this way more.

Also those people buying are already rich if you consider them buying $215k shares.
1208  Economy / Speculation / Re: I'm All In - Sold My House! on: July 21, 2015, 03:05:18 AM
Id actually take up the loan, depending the amount.

Maybe the max would be $10k just to be safe, and know I can pay this back in a year or 2 if I`d a steady job and living with parents.

So my overhead is super low. But, like the person above me said, it depends on the persons personal situation.
1209  Economy / Digital goods / Re: [WTS] $100 starbucks for 20$ [btc] or perfectmoney on: July 21, 2015, 03:03:18 AM
Hey! I would like to buy a card. I would prefer to use escrow for this type of deal. Unless fun can confirm the transaction went smoothly.

let me know how your deal goes, cause the escrow is a def must on these things.

as for op, are you doing any vouches?
1210  Economy / Economics / Re: Greece Cannot Pay, Greece Will Not Pay on: July 21, 2015, 02:59:12 AM
If the rate of crime will continue to increase this it will be a very big problem for the Greece. Not only for the simple people which will be more unsure while going on the streets but for the economy too. The tourists will be less and less and the tourism is one of the major resources for the Greece. The Government need to solve quickly this problem without being returned big problem.

Its only a problem for greece, and the rest of the euro just watches while it crumbles.

And expect a payment of some form, I`d actually just cut my losses if I was the one of the bigger countries that lend the euro.
1211  Economy / Speculation / Re: 100 bitcoins. Will I be a millionaire by 2020? on: July 01, 2015, 06:29:31 PM

no one know this, and this is way i'm taking into account all possible scenario, speculation if done right must be done, by taking into account every possible future of what you're speculating about

there are not more chances that the demand will go down instead of going up for example, same ratio, simply because those variables are unknown, you can't say that it will go down for sure like i can't say that it will go up for sure

but what we know is, if you do not consider the demand because it is unknown, thus you can't consider it, if it is unknown, it is evident that for every halving the price will rise, it is really a simple concept

You aren't taking into account all possible scenarios, you are taking a default that the demand WON'T change, and that every other variable WILL remain constant. Which is completely silly because that's impossible. We don't know whether demand will go up or down, it's probably a 50/50. But we do know that it will NOT remain constant or near constant, that's just not possible. So to assume that as the default is silly.

Any change in demand will far out shadow the effects of mining rewards.

well if it is 50/50 it's evident that it is like saying that it will remain costant in the end, you know...

but what i believe is that there are more chances to grow than to fall, because the halving will help us grow, that's all

I see it to only grow as well.

Cause last time I checked gavin said all those issues with memory will be on its way to be fixed to 2mb or 20 mb i forget sooner then later situation.

Then again most people just think other wise, Im all towards that bitcoin is the only option or else what is?
1212  Economy / Invites & Accounts / Re: [WTB] Bitcointalk Full member account. on: July 01, 2015, 06:27:01 PM
Just curious whats the activity level on there?

Is just hit full member or is it mid way becoming a sr. member? 145+ activity?
1213  Economy / Economics / Re: Greeks are rushing to Bitcoin on: July 01, 2015, 06:18:37 PM
The media portraying that Greeks are rushing to Bitcoin is an utter lie. They are just trying to create fake news which however, is giving a slight boost to bitcoin. However, people actually believing that Greece will adopt bitcoin is so stupid. They would never do that, why will they adopt a currency which will increase much more than its current price?

Everything usually seems to be more hype then it really is, imo.

All news outlets are like this, its why I can usually stay on cnn or other new places too long so I go on reddit more for valid responses to validate their stories.
1214  Economy / Digital goods / Re: [WTS] ANYTHING THAT YOU WANT TO DOWNLOAD on: July 01, 2015, 06:16:27 PM
so if I requested you to download all of tony robbins ebooks, thats still 0.05?

or would it be each? this is more of a outsource on time thing rather then struggle to find it situation.
1215  Economy / Economics / Re: Is it better to save money or invest it? on: July 01, 2015, 06:09:14 PM
It depends on the fact about what plans do you have next regarding your money, if you have enough money for a luxurious life and your future is secure, I would invest a little into something. If you already have a limited amount of money and some other situations to deal with for later, I would recommed you to save as their is no point in investing your money into something if it involves risk. The best way to invest is to invest in government bonds then, but you would get very limited returns.

The governement bonds seems to be used very generally.

Id agree to this, but a bond is 30 years then seeing the original principal back. Under the same category, I`d recommend people to invest in "notes"- which acts the same way as the bond but in shorter time length and same or similar rates which is 1%. "Notes" are usually 1 year or 6months for local state funding etc.
1216  Economy / Economics / Re: What if US Dollar Crashes? on: July 01, 2015, 06:05:18 PM
U.S. bond prices will fall, which is another way of saying that U.S. interest rates will rise. Mortgage and credit card rates will soar, sending the U.S. economy back into recession.  foreign investors and central banks will stop using and demand will fall for dollars. Crypto currencies may rise.

And lending will drop back to 1% like how it did in 2008.

Every bank as long there is a the dollar we will always see this in different forms, or see it again very similar to being back to a recession.
1217  Economy / Economics / Re: Crisis, then opportunity. on: July 01, 2015, 06:01:36 PM
Won't this be counted as money-laundering if done???

indeed i doubt you can just walk away like nothing with millions of money
you need to transfer that amount to someone else in greece that is not affected by the crisis
maybe a rich guy, with him you can do 50/50 on the total revenue, if this thing succeed
also you need to cover your traces on all your bitcoin, otherwise they might tax you twice

People already do it, but this is higher people with higher networth that pulls it off.

Like did you know apple has a hedgefund? and they actually own a lot of the stufff globally, not that anyone cares. But to take away from what I have to say people use companies to backline from the tracing to something called a double irish sanwich which covers the company tracks.
1218  Economy / Service Announcements / Re: Keep your money anonymous and safe with the reloadable Anon Debit Card on: July 01, 2015, 05:57:01 PM
What about fees of your debit card? Roll Eyes

Any service you provide or use there will be a fee. Also op, the person above has a point.

Why would someone use the debit card?  Huh Just a tip, theres thing called snapcard where people buy stuff for you when use bitcoin.
1219  Economy / Speculation / Re: Falllllling was wrong altogether on: July 01, 2015, 05:52:44 PM
Just know people want change.

And if change is going to happen, bitcoin needs to be there to do it. I dont see any other form doing this, so the valuation despite greeces horrible never ending story. Bitcoin will increase because thats the only option.
1220  Economy / Economics / Re: imagine of Greece adopted bitcoin on: July 01, 2015, 05:47:45 PM
no, no one can hack the bitcoin network . Well there are many advantages of greece adopting bitcoin as No central gov. controlling the currency. And it will be like the movie 'guardians of galaxy'. But there will be increased cases of money laundering.

Outside from the obvious points, and money laundering already thing been going on before bitcoin.

I`d say bitcoin does have some flaws, but hacks can be forms of individual basis which then turns into a viral story to make new users not wanting to adopt it. Its a hack indirectly through a social aspect rather then a technical flaw.

eg: hey i got scammed, tells friend. then the friend = never wants to buy bitcoin
