1261  Economy / Speculation / Re: How many bitcoins do I need to retire in 20 years? on: June 24, 2015, 12:15:35 AM
well topic is about retire not where to invest bitcoin.... anyway the only bad thing is no one can preditc bitcoin worth on the next 20 years.... but i believe it will go high ,for sure above 400 dollars

400 dollars within two decades? Steady on, dude.

well i dont know when the bitcoin mining will be over but i expect it to reach it around 2030 btc mining over.... soo the real trades and real worth of bitcoin will be show and know ,soo pretty sure bitcoin will reach a new rank above the current one that keeps with the mining making btc steady on 200 250 dollars

In about 2130 or something like that, none of us will survive that age, but we can survive yearly 1% inflation, which is dust and tolerable.

If bitcoin survives until then than the economy will grow by 50x more than the inflation so no worries!

More practical scenarios are if some bigger merchant promotes it in a form of a discount.

so it forces users to find out how and where they can get that bitcoin.
1262  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: I have 0.02 btc , want to invest on: June 24, 2015, 12:14:16 AM
its better to just do one 90% roll on primedice and then walk away.

if you really do want to invest people just hold it, and add it up to .1 btc eventually.
It's actually quite risky. People have lost a thousand BTC for rolling at 98%. The risk is lower with 90% but it is still there. There is still a good chance that you may lose it on the first roll. Furthermore, you will only earn 0.002BTC. It isn't worth it if you have a huge possibility of losing on your first bet.

Its risky, but I stated just do one roll thats the difference.

If for whatever reason it did land on the 90 on the 1st roll though thats very bad luck.
1263  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: noobie requesting help on: June 24, 2015, 12:12:40 AM
Buying any type of miner and attempting to mine on your own will prob be unprofitable. If anything, take a look at some Cloud Mining Sites, yea they have fees, but the fees end up being cheaper than the power costs you would pay long term.

Some of these are ponzis.  Recently BCS took the money and ran away.  There are some things to look for for a scam, here is a good summary: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=878387.msg9697654#msg9697654

So hashnest is the one I like, but there are others.  Just be careful, and make sure you understand what you are getting.  I like hashnest because you can sell back the hash at any time, you are not locked into a contract.  The returns are really good imo, and they have a top reputation in the community.  It is run by bitmain, one of the big makers of asics, so I am pretty sure it is legit.

Have fun, don't get lost in the rabbit hole.

I say just avoid the rabbit hole all together and dont bother with it.

Most operators even legit ones go bust at a certain point, so just stick with buying it.
1264  Economy / Economics / Re: If Greece defaults on: June 24, 2015, 12:10:10 AM
Greek banks seem to be imposing unofficial capital controls over deposit withdrawals after having lost €400 million over the weekend. The maximum amount is said to be €3,000 on walk-in withdrawals...

Quote
A commercial banker said about €400m had been withdrawn via ATMs over the weekend, bringing total outflows to €2bn between Friday and Sunday, a number confirmed by a central bank official.

http://www.zerohedge.com/news/2015-06-22/greek-banks-unofficially-limit-walk-withdrawals-%E2%82%AC3000-ft-reports

3000€ /what?  3000€/day?

I can walk into a bank and witdhraw 3000€ then walk in 10 minutes later and withdraw 3000€ again, did i witdrawed more than the limit, no Cheesy

Yes, you "witdrawed" more than the limit. I think you'd better ask what's the difference between "official" and "unofficial" capital controls...

There has to be some sort of limit otherwise the bank is liable to pay me. I think many banks will get sued that way, but yea by the time the trial ends they will all be bankrupt lol.

Theres no such thing as banks getting sued.

Esp, when they already are the system, and the sueing is probably the government but that really does much besides paying a small fine.
1265  Economy / Digital goods / Re: BUYING Starbucks Gift Cards 60% of Value on: June 22, 2015, 11:27:19 PM

is the value the same on all cards offered or just starbucks value.
1266  Economy / Speculation / Re: Condolences to the bitcoin die hards on: June 22, 2015, 11:26:10 PM
the price can swing back up based twins actions since they made their exchange happen.

maybe their etf can finally launch.
1267  Economy / Speculation / Re: [POLL] You'll sell your BTC @ what price ? on: June 22, 2015, 11:24:59 PM
I`d sell it at 450, only because I wouldnt know when a huge price peak would happen.

It usually goes within a short frame of time though if it jumped based a new orders coming in though like that manipulated mt.gox event.
1268  Economy / Speculation / Re: Don't be the Ronald Wayne of Bitcoin on: June 22, 2015, 11:23:36 PM
the problem for most people is patience. once they see they made 10-20% profit, they would probably take profits at that moment. only very few people are able to hold their coins for longer than a year.

well yeah, I mean its more the now factor for me as well and most.

usually though for me its more of paying an extra phone bill and I`m short on cash.
1269  Economy / Speculation / Re: Do you think bitcoin will reach it's $1000 mark again? on: June 22, 2015, 11:06:39 PM
$250 today  $1000 sometime in the future - hell yes!
I just wonder how far the price of BTC is going to go

$1000 maybe, its becoming more realistic since we saw the twins finish their exchange.

so maybe we can see some progress on that etf they wanted to do as well.
1270  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Legality or Illegality of using other peoples computer to mine coins on: June 22, 2015, 11:05:13 PM
this reminds me of some kid doing this with school computers mining doge coin.

I heard it way back when I forget, but the kid had it where it mined it after hours. Basically pure profit.
1271  Economy / Speculation / Re: I have this weird feeling.. on: June 22, 2015, 10:48:57 PM
I am seeing 2 scenarios.

1. Bitcoin forks unsuccessfully, causes alot of things to go wrong.

2. In 2016, lots of banks are integrated, and the next pump happens with banks, licenses, and regulation in place. And we see $2k-3k

I thought we resolved that issue or working on it, so the block goes to higher then 2 or 20 mb whatever gaven said.

And working on it before that fork issue becomes a mess for us.

As for the other 2nd scenario, I see it more towards the online banks that dont have a physical branch like ally picking it up for any optional credit card payment form or something.
1272  Economy / Speculation / Re: Don't be the Ronald Wayne of Bitcoin on: June 22, 2015, 10:46:02 PM
Can I be the Bruce Wayne of bitcoin?

I think we`ll all be bruce wayne of bitcoin and end up with a batman cave and more if we hold it like some apple stock.

In the mean time, l`d just recommend storing it and forgetting about it until one day you hear about it on cnn or something promoting with amazon saying we`ll adopt the coin lol.
1273  Economy / Speculation / Re: Don't be the Ronald Wayne of Bitcoin on: June 22, 2015, 10:37:12 PM
Yeah but he didnt have a clue that apple would be world provider of smart phones though.

I mean its safe to say anyone could of made the same mistake, and its like years and years ago lol. Which means bitcoin will be years and years ago as well?

10 years+?
1274  Economy / Speculation / Re: Amazon is going to accept bitcoin in the near future on: June 22, 2015, 10:34:43 PM
Umm like when?

I dont think its anytime soon at all I can say that much, maybe like 2018? or leaving open ending questions usually means a nice way of saying no lol.
1275  Economy / Speculation / Re: I have this weird feeling.. on: June 22, 2015, 10:06:19 PM
Just wait for a real support.

Real supports like actual events, instead of random price changes and pumps being at any time.
1276  Economy / Speculation / Re: [prediction] Next spike $560,000 14 months from now on: June 22, 2015, 10:05:08 PM
Then again, we pass something maybe this coin will do a mt.gox moment for  a split sec.

If the twins pass that etf now, which I have hopes for since I can see they did the exchange why not lol.
1277  Economy / Speculation / Re: back to 220 tomorrow time to sell is now on: June 22, 2015, 10:01:18 PM

I think the chart is clear. Bitcoin just smashed its face against that clear descending line and pulled back. Do I know that it is going to drop? No, I don't. But I would never buy before a clear break of that line.

Yes, it seems to be absurd based on common sense, but on a market buying at a higher price can make a lot of sense. Buying cheaper can be a serious mistake.

If it resisted that line, my bets are that it`ll continue.

Just like that last 5-6 years we had a rough start, and hopefully just continue to grow despite the bad events.
1278  Economy / Currency exchange / Re: NEED A TRADE! HELP PLEASE on: June 22, 2015, 09:53:05 PM
I really recommend you to use a escrow.

Use a escrow at all times, or youre at risk at losing btc plenty reputable people who do it for free.
1279  Economy / Speculation / Re: Gold collapsing. Bitcoin UP. on: June 17, 2015, 07:48:30 PM
so is the 20 mb going to happen before the unavoidable clogged confirmation times, or are we already in the process of something now?

I rather see this now then later in my view.
1280  Economy / Economics / Re: Who is a Bitcoin whale? on: June 17, 2015, 07:45:38 PM
who fits a bitcoin whale?

most likely are the ones who run and offer services to the bitcoin community. eg: coinbase, primedice, the twins recent exchange thats about to launch.

Those are all whales.
