1121  Economy / Economics / Re: Why bitcoin will appreciate forever on: August 10, 2015, 08:57:44 PM
That's the same problem with any currency; we can't help that other currencies aren't anonymous.   Ideally a Monero economy will eventually emerge so that people *do* get paid in Monero and spend it too.

And financial privacy is not "underground".   Bitcoin is inherently flawed as a currency.

Consider this: if the original bitcoin had truly private transactions built in, by way of cryptographic ring signatures...  Would anyone ever consider it an upgrade to remove that feature?

Of course not.

Bitcoin is not a private currency true, but it should be looked as a money transmitter.

The blockchain is a public ledger obviously, but you can do services like bitmixer or any other mixing services that removes all those transactions to harder to follow making "underground" becoming a financial privacy.
1122  Economy / Speculation / Re: Down we go - sorry I was wrong on: August 10, 2015, 08:52:53 PM
Noone wants "cheap" coins for $265...

Down we go again. Hopefully people will like coins for $250 or less.

I'll like coins at 200$ this is my buy-target, meanwhile i'm waiting.....it will happen!

?? How can you be sure that buying at 200$ would result in a profit later on? If the price goes down constantly it probably means that it will still go down even more so i would be really careful to buy bitcoins at 200$ just because they are worth 200

Some people can debate it by saying profit later on can be just on hard code of 21 mill fixed supply.

So the rarity if thats a even a word to use, is that its intrinsic value becomes to a point when that limits reached. I dont read the future, but i go based on technical functions like that on bitcoin as one factor to invest.

another one is just cause most countries need it plain and simple.
1123  Other / Off-topic / Re: Will you quit your day job to go full time on bitcoin? on: August 10, 2015, 08:48:50 PM
*snip*
Canada has an amazing policy on this currently. So i am very content with this.

Then again, it's really hard for any government to crack down on you if you have BTC and bought something online with it, sooo.

Is it that big of an issue?

Would probably depend on how sizable your salary is.
If you earn a lot yearly (100k+) in the form of Bitcoin, and spend it on a lot, you might be audited and get into trouble for tax evasion.

Ah well, that's at least partially true, if you gain marketable value in Canada you're suppose to declare it as other - trading value gain. But BTC itself has no legal value. So basically you'd have to declare the value of the BMW you'd be buying as a capital gain, yeah. Tongue

In my case, it would not be that big a deal. I am just beginning to earn a stable stream of bitcoins now so it's not like it would be taxed anyway.

Well technically everyone is making earnings from bitcoin and trading for cash is not taxed lol.

Its being off the radar and most people would like to avoid tax which most are by not linking to their checkings account.
1124  Economy / Speculation / Re: Maximum price bitcoin 2015 on: August 10, 2015, 08:46:09 PM
I believe between $400-$500. I would be also very happy with this price considering the slide Bitcoin has survived in 2015.
This would be also great foundation for more growth in 2016 in all fields of Bitcoin ecosystem, price, investment, technology, etc..

Anything is possible and prediction is a fools game Smiley

If the price reached 1200 in 2013 then suggesting a maximum of 400-500 this year is a little arbitrary!

yup, anything is possible.

I see it all the time where a simple reddit thread getting popularity can make a difference to people to go out buy more coin.

But anything really can effect the price since its heavily influenced by multiple things outside from the people mentioned with whales.
1125  Economy / Speculation / Re: The panic selling has begun on: August 10, 2015, 08:43:25 PM
We'll be bearish for the next few weeks I think, be prepared to hold  Grin

I dont know it may be a selling point for a small brief time, if people tend to go with the trend.

I usually follow the trend if it goes more then 2-3 days of people selling off.
1126  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Beginner here on: August 10, 2015, 08:42:00 PM
Signature campaigns are the way to go if you want to make money on this site.

Yes they are, if you have high enough rank, that means at least a senior member. If you know enough about Bitcoin because you cannot just post rubbish and if you have enough time to invest into posting.

Of course, you have to also chose a signature campaign wisely becaude not all of them are good enough!
well you can always just buy an account if you have any funds to start with i guess, also you dont have to be really experienced as you can post only about general knowledge

i was about to mention this as well.

you`ll find most people now skip the process of being a newbie and buy a full member account to start making btc in the campaigns.

but any newbies doing this, id advise you that it doesnt change on the signature campaign rules.
1127  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Did you earn some bitcoin today? on: August 10, 2015, 08:40:07 PM
Earned today from my referrals commission in faucets. Plus waiting for my weekly payment in my signaure campaign.

how much did you earn though? I mean its nice to see free btc without any work done.

also if its nice amount, im assuming you did the heavy lifting to get a ton of referrals to stay active which is probably the hardest part.
1128  Other / Archival / Re: No longer needed a loan. Will ask loan at btcjam on: August 10, 2015, 08:37:55 PM
Can you provide more info about this ? (account generator (source code).)
Is it like bitcointalk account generator, or something else ?

cheers

If you can answer this persons question, id be intrested as maybe lol.

But out of curiosity, how would someone use your amazon account as collateral since the support desk can side with your account being hacked and re-credit you.
1129  Economy / Lending / Re: Need a 0.02-0.05 loan, got collateral on: August 10, 2015, 08:34:47 PM
i dont think anyone will do this at all, and if they do they never experienced a charge back done to them feels.

Its probably the worst feeling ever, and paypal isnt really attractive in general on a doing bitcoin transactions.
1130  Economy / Economics / Re: Bitcoin Faucets - how much do those sites make in ad revenue? on: August 10, 2015, 08:32:43 PM
I do not know how they make their ad money but I recently saw a faucet for sale where the owner claimed profits of $24000 per month. Pinch of salt I think.

That seems absurdly high for a faucet to do really well.

I can see why freebitco.in does well because of the keyword naturally brings 1,300 per month search volume and similar related words to add that.

But I dont see any other sites to do well because of the seo done on them arent based on keywords.
1131  Economy / Economics / Re: Taxing is legalized robbery on: August 05, 2015, 11:53:16 PM
taxing is pretty crazy if you think about it.

but whats worse then taxing is annual increase of inflation increase lets say 2%, that means you pay 2% more then previous year.. let that water you paid for is now $2.50 back when you paid $1 for.
1132  Economy / Digital goods / Re: Premium Account Netflix & Hulu & Minecraft & Spotify!(Adding More) on: August 05, 2015, 11:49:47 PM
id be intrested in your hulu account.

any chance I can just vouch for you? also how long does the accounts last usually or do they not get noticed. I just want hulu.
1133  Economy / Speculation / Re: The inevitable is upon us... on: August 05, 2015, 11:47:46 PM
Just before the halving, I think we can see a new atm high, and to be more specific, I would say a $2,000. I am not saying Bitcoin would stabilize at this price, but it can sure touch it.

before the halving is when everyone will be stockpiling their coins especially miners I'm sure we can see 5k hitting too as we haven't really had a bubble in a while lol Cheesy

Nope, not since they killed Willy  Wink

I hope this guy actually visit karples back in japan, and eat a pizza right in front of him.

I remember this dude was in the rain showing up and while karples just walked by him with his starbucks cup and acted nothing happen.
1134  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: If you are part of the latest HASHRA SCAM please reply here... on: August 05, 2015, 11:40:52 PM
So Im guessing this case never really got resolved like the many btc stuff out there.

Another sad story, like how BFL managed to get away but got some recourse action. Its a shame hashra though is a bit different based on how its in china..
1135  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: 50 BTC lost because of blank passphrase on: August 05, 2015, 11:37:24 PM
This is a pretty amazing error.  I cannot imagine someone with 50 BTC making this mistake.

If it is someone new made this mistake... wow would that be one way to make you want nothing to do with BTC.

Well if you think thats bad.

Theres a guy who lost 74 btc doing a normal transaction with localbitcoins for wanting cash. https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1112060.0

The short summary is that the guy got his bitcoin, and instead left his laptop and phone which im guessin were part of the plan.
1136  Economy / Economics / Re: Greek bank shares continue to fall on: August 05, 2015, 11:34:01 PM
It may be a good time to invest in NBG, it has never been this low. It's really a 50/50 situation. If the Troika doesnt let Greece fall, whoever investing on NBG now will get pretty good returns, the problem is if the Greexit actually happens and your investment goes literally to 0. If you have something like 1K dollars lying around that you dont know where to put and you are already on Bitcoin, maybe a gamble with this may be a good investment if Greece recovers in the next 5 to 10 years.

Just don't.  Don't throw money into a disaster hoping that someone else temporarily patches things up for you so you can sell at a profit.

On the other hand, if you think that certain Greek companies are a good deal at these prices go ahead.

Well the question would come down to is would let every other euro nation that lend greece money let it fail as a country?

i mean their debt is effected their euro so wouldnt they eventually come to an cheaper solution to get some money back then none at all?

303.92 billion euros of debt.

I really doubt that the other nations would lend any more money.

I just read a recent article that greece actually needs. Greece needs €95 billion in debt relief to avoid permanent depression — twice as much as the IMF says..

So they about get a depression alright, cause what country would lend 95 billion...
1137  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: INVEST BITCOIN!!! on: August 05, 2015, 11:27:22 PM
Is out there some site where can I find where to invest?

If you want actual stocks, go with Havelock Investments. There are some decent deals there, and they're treated like actual companies (i.e., P/L statements, monthly recounts, etc.).

Is it somehow regulated? Have you invested there yourself?

It's unregulated, and yes, I've invested in multiple stocks there (namely RENT and Casinobitco.in, right now, though I've owned others there as well).

wait, where did you find stocks that involved bitcoin?

or is it just that thread stating however much invested, you can a "xyz" percent? Also since you have experience in this, have you broke even on most of the ventures? I seen some terrible bitcoin projects so I can only imagine the horror of getting shares into one..
1138  Economy / Economics / Re: How to save money. on: August 05, 2015, 11:22:13 PM
you can to invest and you can to evolve your money.
you can to invest like an propherty and other...
you can to save on bank.. buying home, like that i think..

what do you mean evolve your money? do you mean move your fiat money into bitcoin.

investing as a property isnt the same since its more of a real assest that you can touch, but also serves as a shelter as well. although the annual rise of bitcoin is some comparison to the housing value.

Only if the house is in a really good location like the silicon valley which almost doubles every year which that bitcoin value comparison i get.
1139  Economy / Economics / Re: Why Bitcoin Could Be the Best Investment of the Century on: August 05, 2015, 11:16:50 PM
yes, I agree with you
maybe now, rates not so good
like as many time ago, btc will get high rates again

The rates are decent, and you cant complain where its at for what its been through.

Esp the early times with bad horrbile exchanges like we know it, and still climbing should be noted. Its in the early breach of 300ish, which allows all of us holding the coin can get something decent or to pay a extra bill since the value is at a decent rate.
1140  Economy / Economics / Re: Why You Should Never Sell Your Bitcoins Ever on: August 05, 2015, 11:05:56 PM
for everyday fast altcoins are needed
Yes it's right.
But the value of the altcoins is so volatile that it's nearly impossible to implement them in daily transactions.

Just like Bitcoin was more volatile and now it seems to be calming down, so these alts will and would calm down as they become bigger and as they mature more.
Bitcoin calming is the situation of silence before a big storm.
And you will see a big pump in near future.

It calm now, but wait until china comes back into play.

they been on the fence of bitcoin on and off so I cant wait till another country like china steps in saying they accept bitcoin again to see huge volumes of volatility.
