1161  Economy / Speculation / Re: How many bitcoins do I need to retire in 20 years? on: July 29, 2015, 05:30:09 AM
I believe that with 500 bitcoins is possible to stay quiet , although at the time about 150k dollars surely this value will win about 50 % in the coming years and can anticipate what to wait 20 years for such a feat , and may be only 2 or 5 or 10 years , would not be optimal to anticipate your retirement ?

500 bitcoins seems pretty comfortable if the value keeps rising and it just goes over beyond what we hope to see.

although the waiting process seems a bit daunting for most, which id probably die in 20 years then it to see it anywhere.
1162  Economy / Economics / Re: How too get rich on: July 29, 2015, 05:27:18 AM
It's easy.

Just build a time machine, go back to 2015, and buy 10,000 Monero for 50 cents each.

Only if building a time machine was that easy.  Cheesy

But if someone really did build a time machine I think, they would be the richest man ever since they would be friends with bill gates and steve jobs and knowing to invest in them when they worked out of their garage.
1163  Economy / Speculation / Re: ETA for the ETF? (and Gemini Exchange speculation) on: July 29, 2015, 05:23:34 AM

Man I remeber I signed up like 2 months ago.. and its still on like a coming soon page lol.

I feel like they will launch like mid 2016 to be safe and jan 2016 is just not concrete based on their life style of not needing money that bad lol.
1164  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin Price about to explode..at 296.74 now.... on: July 29, 2015, 05:21:13 AM
Maybe there are instruments that help in reasoning in the field of prediction of prices but for bitcoin I'm afraid that are insufficient data to do such analysis. I haven't hear someone find the price with his prediction. If this could be true this guy would be already millionaire.

The TA for bitcoin is like things like PR if its like the greece incident, and western union shutting out services for them.

And it may not be the form you want, but thats only thing you can really go on.
1165  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Coinbase support? Deceptive "Live Chat" bait and switch? on: July 29, 2015, 05:18:32 AM
You might want to just create a reddit thread about it or some others directly do their twitter.

If those things dont help, try the coinbase reddit thread. Usually they try to protect their reputation, so you`ll get answered.

But normally the purchasing process is based on their level of trust with verifications as well btw.
1166  Economy / Economics / Re: Is it better to save money or invest it? on: July 29, 2015, 05:16:03 AM
for me, saving and invest is like 50:50 saving in the bank 50% and the rest i use to buy bitcoin. but it just 20$ since i have no job...

50 savings is decent, but I wouldnt keep a large principal in there since you never know when a new bank can take over.

And then your money gets complicated, so it depends on the size of your bank who youre with.

I wouldnt recommend savings at all.

Theres better investments that earn way more, I rather put in a few into with being part of a stock or something if I know well enough about where its going to go.

Of course this is varied, but still a better option then savings..  Tongue
1167  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: How would you introduce Bitcoin to your friends and family? on: July 29, 2015, 05:01:44 AM
Id introduce it to them by showing gyft.com first by buying a giftcard.

And have them learn how to acquire which would be, me as their supplier. That and obviously show about localbitcoins.com as well being there with them.
1168  Economy / Digital goods / Re: Selling Amazon Gift Cards for BTC on: July 29, 2015, 04:59:25 AM
Escrow? how much do you have on you?

And if its a big amount are you willing to break up the amounts? you have the reciept?
1169  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: best way for earning bitcoins on: July 29, 2015, 04:56:29 AM
guys lets discuss and find out what will be the most profitable and the highest profit yelding method to earn bitcoon...
it maybe needed investments or maybe not but lets calculate both situations and see what is most profitable..like we all know signature campaings and mining is the best option in nowdays to earn a good profit but I rather think about using some skills too ..
like I have some skills like web developing..communication skills..and so on some important skills so how much can I earn and how?

If you want to find more method to get most profitable it will be along day discussion, because any method to earn bitcoin was 90% same like earn $$$ on internet marketing world, the different things was that bitcoin have mining method that someone said this method already  dying (i never try mining method)

that sounds on point.

it similar how you hear people earning google adsense money, but rare actual amounts go to a bigger level and people did things to be there to earn way more. Its similar with bitcoin and what you actually get accepted by the community.
1170  Economy / Computer hardware / Re: 2 sp20s and maybe 1 SP30 Buyer pays shipping from USA only MUST ESCROW on: July 28, 2015, 06:11:41 AM
not to be a downer, but how come your ebay account rep is at 94%?

It questions on the sale how it can go down, since that rep bothers me  abit.
1171  Economy / Economics / Re: Does Bitcoin Allow for Fractional Reserve Lending? on: July 28, 2015, 06:09:56 AM
There is no fractional reserve lending, theres only a limit on whats being produced since its hard coded.

21 mill is the limit and thats including lost, and stolen bitcoin as well. As for the fractional reserve scenario that only happens if the mass of bitcoin was under one "holder" like a bank.
1172  Economy / Economics / Re: Why have Bitcoin instead of cash? on: July 28, 2015, 06:07:26 AM
Multiple benefits like most mentioned, but most of all you have little to no down time.

Example, if you are doing big transactions like a wire you have to wait for a few day almost like 4 days when you can cash out bitcoin to a local seller the same or the next day.
1173  Economy / Economics / Re: Did Bitcoin Ruin Your Life, Or Help Your Life? on: July 28, 2015, 06:05:51 AM
Bitcoin really helped me a lot. Bitcoin is my only source of extra income in the cyber world and because of bitcoin , I had my first android phone and bought some personal stuffs.
Bitcoin is love. Bitcoin is life.

This is probably the only thing that matters to about 90% of the people here.

Bitcoin is the only viable option for a broke person to have money in their pocket to earn esp being on the forum, even its a little bit that helps to pay an extra phone bill or something.
1174  Economy / Economics / Re: Why on this earth most of the post only related to Greece Crisis ? on: July 28, 2015, 06:03:20 AM
Yup you are right, those posts are full of speculations and merely a few facts.

Well it effects bitcoin in a indirect way since the greece dont have any way to sort their money problems.

Yes, its also said many times over and over in threads but you gotta understand that its also a huge point in how money works so hope other countries can look at bitcoin differently.
1175  Economy / Economics / Re: How too get rich on: July 28, 2015, 05:41:29 AM
How too get "rich"

You need to know what exactly is rich to you?
Are you considered rich if you have your own car and house?
Are you considered rich because you don't owe anyone money but you can eat 3 times a day and have a good and peaceful life

Yeah! I agree with you man
Everyone have different meaning of "rich". if you're a gratefull person, having a complete "body" is one of kind of "rich".

Then technically everyone is rich.

In different means like most people think would be economically wise are you rich. As in cash flow, and its good to hear that people see the few things that money cant buy obviusly nor with bitcoin.

If youre sick like steve jobs who died from a pancreatic cancer, not much you can do with those billions. Cancer sucks..  Undecided
1176  Economy / Speculation / Re: What do you expect from the halving in 2016? on: July 28, 2015, 05:38:11 AM
Halving will halve the steady supply. If demand stays the same, we will go up !!!

Demand is always here to stay.

And its based on levels of demands, since we are the few people who buy it.  Like whales, casino site owners, then the early adopters and like us. Most of the casinos like primedice need the bitcoin anyways since its paying outside investors and keeping the casino alive.
1177  Economy / Speculation / Re: ETA for the ETF? (and Gemini Exchange speculation) on: July 28, 2015, 05:35:21 AM
Gemini is dealing exclusively with US banks. I think members outside US cannot use it to buy and sell bitcoin. The rest of the world still need more large legit exchanges like Gemini to reduce friction.

Cant the other countries just still buy bitcoin from gemini..

I mean its how most are trying to always buy from btc-e the sketchy exchange, but it`d be the same concept of sending them a wire or other form of SEPA money that they accept and send you btc. After they go through the typical verification process.
1178  Economy / Speculation / Re: The coming chinese mining boom on: July 28, 2015, 05:28:22 AM
This whole chinese banning bitcoin is sucha  hoax.

They may not accept it, but i know friends in china been buying bitcoin in other ways since they promote it on their t.v station at one point.

And they re-open it again and they go back closing and repeat.
1179  Economy / Speculation / Re: I am short... on: July 28, 2015, 05:26:04 AM
I've seen the film before. This is the part with very low volume sideways to up movement for several days followed by the next high volume dump.

The past is always a history for a reason.

Its the learn from it right, so regardless of the up and down volume you can always expect nothing more to go up based on VC`s money already thrown more then $100 mill into bitcoin companies.

That alone says something, if not then I dont know what to say.
1180  Economy / Speculation / Re: Mt Gox hackers selling off their $650 million - is that keeping price down? on: July 28, 2015, 05:20:58 AM
My personal opinion (based on gut feeling) is that most of that selling
already happened during the bear trend from $1000 down to $200.

My feeling is also that Karpeles was involved.

It def had to be karples if there was a huge sell off.

I mean they kept a lot of the people in the dark on their true real prices so I`d expect something shady like that anyways where he did sell it off at that highest point.

And then kept some for reserve.
