921  Economy / Speculation / Re: 1 BTC = 1000$ in 2016 on: March 02, 2016, 06:27:19 AM
Perhaps we may see a price this high, after the halving, but certainly not before the halving.
Even towards the halving i am very sceptic at this 1k value.

It means the price has to double.. which is quite unlikely.

you never know though lol.

I mean the price was $300ish and ever since the whole halving hype and people are being more aware of it cause the price jump.

It can go to that level if we saw a bunch of new buyers but this would be obviously short lived.
922  Economy / Speculation / Re: Poll: What year will we hit $100,000? on: March 02, 2016, 06:25:08 AM
Price is always unpredictable.

You seen how easily price can be manipulated esp with exchanges, so its possible in that sense.
923  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin (shitcoin) is dying on: March 02, 2016, 06:22:44 AM
people buy and sell bitcoins each day, just because you don't notice that it dosen't mean that there are no buyers, so don't say that bitcoin is dying, it's better for bitcoin to be stable for while

Yep. And just to note this - Bitcoin is way far from dying. Matter of fact it's just kicking in. Just you wait in a couple of months, Bitcoin will be twice its value.
Its not dying. I understand that many people are very negative about Bitcoin because it has a low value and that is not good.
You can now see that the value is rising and that is very good. We need all patience and dont be that negative.

Low value? We have almost doubled the value since the last 3-4 months and people are still complaining?
People are pretty bullish on bitcoin now.

I think people are just stating that its dying because they been frustrated to not see the expected price points.

This means they either seen the 2012 hurdles or before too, so to them growth moves very slow.
924  Economy / Economics / Re: The future of the paper money on: March 02, 2016, 06:07:00 AM
I think paper money it still remains.
Especially for older people, because they do not know how to handle the new money
haha lol yeah This generation will be replaced dude. and banknotes/paper money will start to disappear

Lets be honest though, to see paper money to fail so hard.

Its going to be when I`m dead in my grave and only my grand children will able to see them if I even have off-springs.

American history has proven how much it can take and still be alive.
925  Economy / Economics / Re: Bitcoin or Gold? What would you pick? on: March 02, 2016, 05:52:04 AM
I would choose gold over bitcoin, looking at the past gold has been more stable and given good returns in long run, where as bitcoin is too risky to invest in.

and i would choose bitcoin over gold, look at the history of bitcoin from first market. highets profit = highest risk. for me bitcoin more safe than gold. also more simple to use it

Yes i agree with you. Because i'm a trader, i rather pick bitcoin than gold. Gold price always stable, not like bitcoin, the price always changed and it's make me happy as trader.

But wouldnt you rather be satisfied with security then uncertainty.

I guess its just depending on the person level of risk tolerance, but I`m a person who hates risks. So I would just choose gold for being stable regardless if it isnt always increasing high in value.
926  Economy / Speculation / Re: How long is Bitcoin life? on: March 02, 2016, 05:42:02 AM
as long as minner can take profit from bitcoin.
if minner earning is very low the bitcoin network maybe can be dead Roll Eyes
but.... if the government is willing to adopt and legalize bitcoin im sure bitcoin can survive forever

Yeah, who here mines... majority arent in this scenario.

Well if they are I`m sure they arent doing it on a massive scale that show signs of profit like bitmain does it.

As long bitcoin has a good # value, it`ll be around.
927  Economy / Speculation / Re: What happens to Chinese mining companies if there is no halving price rise? on: March 02, 2016, 05:28:16 AM
They still get paid daily as mentioned.

I`m sure it wont hurt them at all. Unless bitcoin really dropped back to the $100 valuation or something drastic then they would force to downsize.

Most already made back their money I`m sure.
928  Economy / Speculation / Re: Buy now or be sorry! on: March 02, 2016, 05:18:18 AM
I rather be sorry lol.

Too much halving hype going on, I`m sure it`ll increase but not by much.

I wouldnt want to assume its going up and make up that risk all based on a halving scenario, just my view.
929  Economy / Speculation / Re: BITCOIN going up or down on: March 01, 2016, 01:50:17 AM
I have one answer for that mate; "Houston, we are go for launch"  Grin

It is going up, but I am not sure if we are in the blast off area yet.  Grin

This is mission control to houston.

We are aware that you launched, but we forgot to refuel 50%, you`ll have to come up with something to reach to the moon okay.  Cheesy

I am a realist, there needs to a buy orders for price.
930  Economy / Reputation / Re: Account was hijacked on: March 01, 2016, 01:47:59 AM
cant you just reach the mod or admin?

and then the problem of continued hack or possible scam resolves all together. its better to let a mod or admin know then just let it happen on-going.
931  Economy / Economics / Re: Tell me your predictions about Bitcoin on: March 01, 2016, 01:45:26 AM
after tx delays solved ... BTC Bitcoin will go to the moon !!!  Cool

there was a delay in trasnaction ids? since when? lol.

I personally think my crystal ball says there will be many buy orders within 3 months from now.

Tip: halving

Yes, I can read the future. I also have a iron man suit. *sarcasm*
932  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: I quit trading on: March 01, 2016, 01:43:05 AM
I quit trading after losing 0.5 over a weekend made bad investments that crashed very quickly before I had chance to react never going back lol

I quit when i was lost around the same btc when I noticed I knew that my TA was all over and done.

Although it was a expensive experience not much compared to the op`s 7 btc loss, but shits literally gambling at this point.
933  Economy / Auctions / Re: ***WTS*** Full Member Account on: March 01, 2016, 01:38:01 AM
Any chance for barter for that account?

I got a several things that might be interesting, just pm to work out a deal if you still have it.
934  Economy / Speculation / Re: I'm All In - Sold My House! on: March 01, 2016, 01:34:25 AM
Wow, that is so risky, you can loose all of your money you know? But if it will rise by 400$, you will win so much of money

OP sold his house in 2014. He has already witnessed a lot of ups and downs.

that financial move on the op to sell his house for bitcoin im sure he sold before he lost a serious amount.

then again, who knows if the op was already financially okay with it.

im sure if he took the plunge without doing his homework, im sure he can eat the loss.
935  Economy / Economics / Re: Will Bitcoin always be dependent on fiat? Is it? on: March 01, 2016, 01:26:14 AM
Well what else would it depend on?

Youre not going to see people running around with gold notes in their pocket and say "hey" heres my $10 worth of gold notes.

The world is already grown into the fiat system..  Smiley
936  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: BTCjam - Any Thoughts or Experiances on: March 01, 2016, 01:24:38 AM
TBH, btcjam isn't the best way to invest your BTC at the moment. BTCJam accounts can and is being sold on open markets, which means a person's credit ratings might be false. I wouldn't recommend anyone use this site.

I was about to comment about this.

Just like how we see on the forum on accounts being bought with btctalk accounts - it should be known that any form of accounts can lead to a potential scam.

I guess it just depends of the luck of the draw on investing for most, but I rather not take a chance.
937  Economy / Digital goods / Re: WTB J.Crew gift card on: March 01, 2016, 01:22:51 AM
Why not just save the hassle and use your bitcoin to gyft?

The only legit source you can rely on since most of these cards that come on to these threads are from darknet.

And the #`s are shared to race to zero balance.
938  Economy / Economics / Re: The Halving - Good or Bad for Bitcoin? on: March 01, 2016, 01:21:09 AM
At this moment i dont' believe the price is the biggest thing happening for bitcoin.

Either the blocksize increase or adoption should be key now.

Most people are not a tech geek that give a shit about the blocksize debate, all they need is a high price to show that this thing is alive. Low price means that it is not valuable therefore if you want to force an adoption than simply start from the price, if the price is getting higher and higher then most people will finally notice it

Hey! I`m offended. jk.

Yup, price is the only thing that should matter to people, so it shows we can pay our damn bills with it lol. And continue to do things with it, imagine if it went back to horrible price point that would really suck.

At the end of the day we are only here to profit, lets be honest lol.
939  Economy / Economics / Re: Why do people keep saying BTC is dead?! on: March 01, 2016, 01:07:23 AM
70% don't know  what they are talking about

yep because maybe they just heard from one source then they didn't search another trusted source and see the fact in the field
many ordinary users. who said that when the price falls. btc will die! they do not know what they are talking about

People have different views on how they see bitcoin.

But intially what that says about the person is how they perceive risk so they assume it`ll die. Lets be honest here, if that person knew how to hedge back to afford the loss of that bitcoin they wouldnt say those remarks and be happy they are in profit.

And then gloat how bitcoin is the best thing that happened to them.
940  Economy / Economics / Re: If bitcoin price is $10.000, will fiat be worthless? on: March 01, 2016, 01:05:02 AM
What most are forgetting are the difference between a weak fiat and strong one.

The weak one can easily be seen like zimbawabe money and unravel on its own trying to print more #`s on the damn paper.

The stronger fiat will stay in the # on its paper not following that route because its used globally which makes it harder to fail.
