Edited with "scanned" version.

Sadly, I do not have a scanner.  So all that's on there are pics

Heh, that's a challenge.  Can anyone make out what it says?
I'll see if I can get it scanned somewhere else.  Might take a day or two though.

CamScanner should do the trick, but only if you have an android phone
*Installing*
Will post when done.

Bond holders do not get voting rights. They have to follow the contract like it or not.

If I want to sell the debt for 1 BTC then sell my liver to cover the rest that is might right and the bond holders can't do anything about it (other than bitch, cry and call me names).

I dont own any Tygrr bonds but i am curious and peeked at the contract.
One sentence in the contract is interesting:
"The money gained from the selling of these bonds will go to BTCST."

Does this mean that the contract is violated if the bonds no longer are backed by
a BTCST account? (i am guessing that a liver is worth more though).

If it does mean that, Goat have to follow the contract like it or nor.

Edit: I know it should be "Goat has to" but the paraphrazing just looked better with have, at first.

...Doesn't he always have to follow a contract, like it or not?

Alternatively, I'm local right now (ish...India) and could bring you some of this...ummm...fine? Indian gold.

Hmm gold seems like a good deal. Since people expect a BTC crash anyway might be an awesome opertunity!  BTW how is India?

Monsoony.  I just got in and am sitting in a filtered-air environment waiting for my anti-malarials to become effective.  I had all of biz to myself from DXB, though.  It was a bit eerie.
Sounds lonely.  My family and I had half of business on my way back from Africa.

1647  Bitcoin / Legal / FOIPA Request to the FBI Processing on: August 25, 2012, 10:05:44 PM
Hi,
I made an FOIPA request to the FBI some time ago and just received the processing letter.  I thought I might as well make a thread on this.

I'm going to be posting replies to this dropbox folder: https://www.dropbox.com/sh/m3gihhnsabzfrnu/lv9_TkkdfX

Sadly, I do not have a scanner.  So all that's on there are pics, and maybe a text file if I have time.

-Daniel
EDIT: Looked around the house and found a scanner, scanned version on the Dropbox now.

EDIT: Status Change: New Status:

"The FBI's FOI/PA Program has identified potential responsive information to your request(s) and is forwarding this request(s) for assignment to a FOI/PA Legal Administrative Specialist (LAS) for further processing." -- From http://vault.fbi.gov/fdps-1/search-fdps?foipa=1197064-000

I'll post the letter when I get it.

EDIT: New status again!
"The FBI's FOI/PA Program is processing your request in accordance to the Freedom of Information and Privacy Acts guidelines." -- From http://vault.fbi.gov/fdps-1/search-fdps?foipa=1197064-000

I think this means that they are mailing me the final letter, not sure though.
1648  Bitcoin / Legal / Re: Freedom of Information Act Request on Bitcoin? on: August 25, 2012, 09:53:56 PM
Are they charging a processing fee?
Not sure yet, they didn't mention it in the letter.  I'll make a dropbox with it in a sec.  Also going to make a separate thread, this one seems kind-of old.

You must have taken a long route.  Cheesy
1653  Economy / Auctions / Re: GPUMax Account on: August 02, 2012, 11:41:27 PM
What?  People buy GPUMax accounts!?  I have one if anyone wants to "lease" (as taken from a few posts above) it.
Oh, nevermind.  Person above also said it wasn't allowed.  Ignore this.

Hmm, why not.  3 cents.  (I'm thinking of ruining it and bidding $8, but I'll wait a bit).
1656  Economy / Marketplace / Re: Bitcoin-otc feedback. on: August 02, 2012, 11:29:52 PM
Seems like a good idea.  But, as kakobrekla mentioned, it would be better unmoderated.  Think of the current rating system, ratings are rarely -- if ever -- removed (AFAIK).  So I think it would be better unmoderated.
1657  Economy / Economics / Re: Even if PirateAt40 is running a Ponzi maybe it's good? on: July 29, 2012, 12:29:21 PM
Hi

I am not starting a thread to argue if, or if not, it is a Ponzi, this has been covered many times, and I am undecided.

I have been thinking, if, it turns out to a Ponzi, and causes some sort of crash, could this long term be a good effect on BitCoin? It would raise the awareness, during it's time assuming it crashes, it's allowed people to have more money and manage loaning/sub-saving businesses which they may not have been able to, and has driven a lot of activity within the community.

Similarly, if it turns out to be a Ponzi, most of these normally end when they run out of money to pay people off, more so than with the "owner" running with the funds.  How many BTC will actually be removed from the market, if it turns out to be a ponzi - arguabley few.

So what im saying, is, even if it turns out to be a Ponzi, isnt that a good thing for BTC as a whole?

The only negative I can see is that media might start to associate "bitcoin" with a system of "ponzi schemes" and it might hinder further mainstream adoption.

Just my 0.02BTC.
I disagree.  As you said, the media would remove a lot of potential Bitcoin users from the possibility of using Bitcoin.
" it's allowed people to have more money and manage loaning/sub-saving businesses which they may not have been able to, and has driven a lot of activity within the community." -- If you mean PPT's, they would have been Ponzi's too.

Also, as you said, I'm not arguing about if he is a ponzi or not.
1658  Economy / Economics / Re: How much do you value your credit score? on: July 28, 2012, 11:36:12 PM
What are the negative ramifications of being un-score-able ?

I'm extremely fortunate, in that my wife and I are double-income-no-kids, and each have top-rated credit scores. I grew up in a culture of fiscal responsibility, mostly because of a family banking-industry history, so it is with a large degree of naivety that I make this honest inquiry.
My guess: No loans 4 u.

1659  Economy / Economics / Re: Why can't you buy bitcoins with a debit/credit card if you can buy these credits on: July 28, 2012, 11:34:31 PM
The way Blizzard handles it is if you do a chargeback on your account, they give you the money back, then they lock your account, completely unplayable until you pay them back

I figure the gas company and electric company would work the same way, come get their gas back, if you don't have enough to take they will probably rape you for all your worth, think liens and shit, electric co can easily turn off your power until you've paid up

But all of this will rape your credit score
Gas/electric companies can "rape" your credit score?

I asked FINCEN about de-centralized virtual currencies a few weeks ago; here's what I got:
  http://dl.dropbox.com/u/38065353/FincenFOIA.pdf

Only the first page is interesting.  Reading between the lines, it looks like they're thinking about us.

They're probably thinking about you more now that you put that on Dropbox.  Smiley
