1741  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Need someone to work on Bitcoin-Postal Mail project with me on: May 06, 2012, 06:33:16 PM
Hey,
I had an idea that could potentially be profitable.  It is a bitcoin -> mail sort of thing.

I found a website that would send all the mail automatically, with an API of course.

I was thinking that we could generate a private key, wait for a couple confirmations, send some bitcoins to the address that is related to the private key, and then send the information through the mail.

I started the project, but I am running into a few bugs, and would want someone else to work on it with me (for a split profit sort-of thing Wink).

If anyone is interested, you can reach me on here, on Skype (PM me with your Skype name), or on #bitcoin-otc (I am on right now, my username is danieldaniel).

EDIT:
I was trying to protect my idea at first, but I guess its all publicly available anyways.  Wink

Ok, so the website is http://www.postalmethods.com/
They have a cool API, which I think could be very useful.  It could be similar to that other gift card thing (I think it was called BitBills), but we wouldn't shut our site down  Smiley.
1742  Economy / Lending / Re: Looking for 100 BTC loan for 30 days on: May 06, 2012, 02:45:04 PM
Hello,

I am active on Bitcoin markets, for example I have bid on topic "Re: Looking for someone to create/modify software for this forum [1700+ BTC]" so you can be sure I don't want to sully my name or coming business at cloudeo.cc I have. I can provide all my personal information, for example copy of my passport and so on.

I am waiting offers very soon. Any information you may need, just ask. Thank you very much.
I don't get how bidding for the forums without any other references would make you trustworthy.

Please explain that to me.

Is this like the other post?  Where people said you were faking that you had a broken one, and they shipped you a new one?
1746  Economy / Lending / Re: (Loan) Deathbylollipop Advertisements 300 BTC on: May 05, 2012, 08:03:54 PM
I took the whole prgram offline, so that it wouldn't affect future business.

I found out its malware.

I found the program on the internet and wanted to see its effectivity if it even worked at all.

I  apologized and stopped.

If you "found the program on the internet and wanted to see its effectivity", then how could you have "took the whole program offline"?

How could you have turned it off if you didn't know what it was?

He turned off the server that was meant to upload the logs off.  Roll Eyes

Oh, I misunderstood what he meant.  I thought he meant that he didn't find out it was malware until people said it was, but now I understand.

Can you give me some statistics of the site?  How many visitors a day/week/month?
1749  Economy / Goods / Re: [WTS / AUCTION] Raspberry Pi Model B on: May 05, 2012, 02:16:22 PM
I used to have one of these.

I tripped and threw it against the wall about a week after I got it, and found out that soldering it voids the warranty (some people in #raspberrypi said there was a warranty).  >.>

Here are the final hash results -> http://pastebin.com/RxYxGVzW

5 columns now (ticket number, email hash, ticket number hash, blockHash, final hash)

The final hash was calculated by: sha(sha(email) + sha(ticketNumber) + hashOfBlockFound)

Let's see who won!
What is this I don't even.

How do I check if I won?  D:

Talked to him on Skype, seems very legitimate.

This is not an endorsement or anything, but from what he showed me, it looks like a good idea.
1757  Economy / Lending / Re: 1200 BTC loan request - 10-40 % interest on: April 30, 2012, 10:25:25 PM
The way I see it, worst case scenario, I'll have to sell the bike because I do not have enough to pay back,

This is a request for a BTC loan?

What if the BTC/USD exchange rate doubles?
We can fix it to USD if you wish but I have no issue either way.
Assuming we fix it to BTC, and the exchange rate doubles, what will you do to get ahold of the funds required?
Doubling won't be a problem.  As long as it doesn't raise 1000%, I think I can handle it.

This loan is for a motorcycle

Make, model, year?

Not completely sure yet.
But in another post, you said that there was a "lack of capital"...

How can you handle it if there is a lack of capital?

Reference:

I would not be active on these forums for nearly a year if my intent was to scam anybody.
Why not? How can we know your motives are the same now as they were then? 1200 BTC is a lot of money for a total of 5 days, 23 hours and 21 minutes of time spent on an internet forum.
My motives are stronger than they were then, I am only restrained by lack of capital.  I'm trying to tell you I'm a good investment without scaring you into questioning yourself.

Sometimes you just have to have a little faith.

Buying Bitcoins for PayPal with an 8% fee?  No.

The seller is taking the risk there, not the buyer, so you should be paying ABOVE MtGox if anything...

Why is this thread still alive?

Also, why are you guys so interested in Twilight.  o.0
1760  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Technical Support / Re: blockchain.info wallet acting wonky on: April 30, 2012, 10:36:14 AM
It is a Javascript wallet that stores information locally.  If you were to clear your browser cache and reload the site it would think you are a first time visitor and will create a wallet yet again.

So it is possible that you are looking at a second wallet.

The site is having trouble at this very moment or I'ld try to docment the steps to logout and get back into your previously used wallet.  Do you have an e-mail with a link to the wallet?  I'm not sure if it does that during initial sign-up.

It did it for me, but also:
