1401  Economy / Securities / Re: BMF auction of Bitfunder Securities - ENDS JAN 28, 2013 on: January 20, 2013, 03:21:24 PM
How do you transfer the shares?  Also, do I need a Bitfunder acc?  And does that acc need to be linked with we exchange?

You do not require a bitfunder account if you want me to pass-through dividends until the shares sell, but it's probably easier if you do have a Bitfunder account. Then I can just transfer the shares directly to you.

Yes, BitFunder does require you to use weexchange. It's a bit clunky at first but I've never had a problem with it.
Yeah, I just don't want to give them all my info.

Whatever, I got outbid anyways.

1404  Economy / Securities / Re: Own a part of a 3d printer! CREATE on [BTC-TC] on: January 20, 2013, 02:48:03 PM
Hmm... I have access to a free 3d printer (replicator).  My guess is that it costs like $0.50 to print the average small project.

I don't think that this will work as a business.  Bigger companies like Shapeways will always be able to be cheaper than you.

The only way for this to be profitable is to mass-print.

I agree with others that this is more fit for a Kickstarter.  You could offer free prints as rewards.

You'd have to come up with a clear goal for KS though.  Maybe you could have a specific project in mind?
1405  Economy / Service Announcements / Re: VIRCUREX !!! IMPORTANT !!! on: January 20, 2013, 01:35:25 AM
The problem with that is generally exchanges don't charge deposit fees.

Registration fees? Sometimes.
Withdrawal fees? Pretty standard.
Transaction fees? Also rather standard.
Deposit fees? OMGWTFBBQ

Deposit fees tend to chase money away from an exchange, they present a barrier to entry. A withdrawal fee though encourages continued trading, you want to get the most out of the withdrawal fee you can, so you keep trading.

Yeah, I wouldn't ever use an exchange with a deposit fee, as I might as well use one of the competitors for free!

Make a minimum deposit, then.  That would fix your problem.  Maybe .001 or .01 ltc?

How much for the FT-817?  If it's cheap, I might buy it.
1407  Economy / Lending / Re: :: Credit Card Style Loans :: From 0% (yup) Interest! Flexible paying schedule on: January 16, 2013, 09:03:57 PM
Could you make it more like a credit card and do on-demand loans?

I would likely want to sometimes take out small loans (<5) while I wait for transfers to complete?

Also, can you do an OTC 100+ for another point?

What do you mean by on demand loans? Like, an API for requesting them?

I'll consider adding OTC 100+ as a point but for small amounts if you have that much OTC then let me know your nick Smiley
Heh, I will if I need any bitcoins.

Also, is it 100+ ratings or 100+ total points?  I have 98 actual ratings but 150 points (you should add 150+ too!).

EDIT:
And yeah, I meant an API for small amounts.
1408  Economy / Lending / Re: Looking for a 30 BTC Loan Please. on: January 12, 2013, 06:38:53 PM
Just to let everyone know, I am not paying this loan off with mining profits, I'm using my monthly wage.

Thanks.
Alright, but why do you want to even GET a GPU?  It's going to be completely unprofitable once ASIC's come out!

I mean, they may not come out for a long time, but I bet it'll come out before you can get the money back from the GPU...

Repeat:  Once ASIC's come out, these will be completely unprofitable.

What's the minimum investment?  Or does it have to be all from one person?

I mine with a 7970 and I now make about 1btc every 10 days.  It will take you almost a year to pay for this card IF the next generation miners don't come out.
Yeah, wtf?  Why would you want to get a GPU?

1413  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: Andrew Bitcoiner / BitJack21 on: January 12, 2013, 02:27:31 PM
Daniel, look how much time and energy you have already wasted on andrew bitcoin?

Just give up and find a stable, reliable and trust worthy income source via bitcoin rather than jumping into something you know nothing about.

Its not worth dragging a horse to water when its going to die anyway from a broken leg.
Heh, I actually haven't wasted too much time at all!  An hour at most.  Smiley

Anyways, I'm doing this out of principle.  I don't really care about the minute about of BTC that I lost.
1414  Economy / Digital goods / Re: [WTS] $100 BestBuy Giftcard on: January 10, 2013, 09:37:44 PM
It's still here!  I will consider any offer!
1415  Economy / Digital goods / Re: [WTS] $100 BestBuy Giftcard on: January 08, 2013, 07:47:34 PM
Still open... I had an offer but he hasn't responded to my message recently (and has been online since), so I assume that fell through.
1416  Other / Archival / Bitcoin Mumble Server on: January 07, 2013, 07:55:49 PM
Is IRC just not creepy enough for you?  Well, then I have good news!

There is now a Bitcoin mumble server located at 75.127.14.107.

We need all of the weirdos and basement-dwellers on here to come together and talk about nerdy stuff!

KTHX
1417  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: Andrew Bitcoiner / BitJack21 on: January 06, 2013, 11:35:13 PM
I'm like a moth to a flame with this thread I run in.circles anytime I post on it. As much as it might be true the mods only help those who are some.kind of VIP..... Heh this post was opened by a teenager a young one at that. As much intellect as the OP seems to carry for his age. It's hard to back him up. sure he's owed the money he threw in back. But this ends up being a written and proof of strike against coin..

The US government doesn't want "kids" gambleing. Hell you can't legally buy a playboy til your 18. And It's pretty clear nobody can buy contraband period.

So what do the feds see... even.local governed bodies... They see a teen enabled by Bitcoin to do exactly what they don't want them to do. I don't blame the mods for.not really touching this.
Well, Bitcoin isn't moderated by the feds, is it?  Theymos hasn't really cared what the feds have to say about things too much in the past.  I think it's more the fact that I don't exactly have any solid proof about this... All I have proof of is that Andrew sent 1 Bitcoin to my account (the one he's since deleted).
1418  Economy / Digital goods / [SOLD] $100 BestBuy Giftcard on: January 06, 2013, 11:30:03 PM
I got a $100 BestBuy giftcard from a friend, and would like to sell it (as I will probably never use it).

The card info is scratched off, because I needed to look at the balance online (it didn't say on the envelope).

I can either mail it or give you the info online, but mailing will cost you a bit more.

I'm open to any offers!

I just sold it on ebay for $90.
1419  Economy / Long-term offers / Re: Dank Bank Deposits - dank soul guarantee - New music Nov 30th on: January 05, 2013, 02:14:30 PM
For what it's worth, I don't think dank borrowed funds intending not to repay them.  I just think he made the mistake which many teenagers (including my own) have made of assuming that financial independence is easy (it isn't, even when you have a stable source of income, let alone when you don't) and basing his budget on unrealistic "best-case" scenarios.

Yeah it reminds me of the same thing a lot of kids do with their first credit card.
How old is Dank, by the way?

Is this the only long-term offer that hasn't turned out as a scam?
