Anybody here been in programs like this? I am applying to some, just because I want to learn more. Wondering if anyone has some feedback from their own experience.

it's still just a Poloniex coin, with no real treats in software terms, and the secrecy claimed is a falsity. You buy Monero, you leave a trail of transactions involving dollars, bitcoin (or others) just to get it.
The posts have trailed off now, as people have realised it is useless. The shills have moved on, so we're left with a handful of hardcore nutters, desperate to kickstart it.
It seems so desperate.
No doubt, people using bitcoin these days need to be more aware of its transparency. In the US, you have Coinbase monitoring your transactions and cancelling accounts if you spend BTC at a gambling site, buy cannabis seeds, or do whatever is deemed unacceptable by the gov. If we are a hardcore group of nutters, so be it. These regulations will only be the beginning, and it will create a deluge of demand for a more opaque blockchain resistant to financial spying.

Its time for SaddamBitcoin to live up to his part of the bet and pee on his own head.
XMR dropped below .01 on Dec 17th. I can't find the comments that were part of the bet -- most likely they were deleted by one of your mods.
But he owes me a picture of himself peeing on his own head. Or else I'm going to start my own thread with it.
It's true, I lost the bet fair and square. Regardless, my faith in Monero remains strong so I must uphold my end of the bargain. I will deliver a photo of the deed to Nutildah by midnight Dec 31st 2014.

Instead of having to manually copy & paste long addresses and payment ID's, just deposit to your <username>@moneroaddress.org. OpenAlias is compatible with MyMonero.com & simplewallet version 0.8.8.5 and up.

Is mymonero.com broken? I made a new account to test, and I can't login with the just generated private key. "No account found!"
Just created a new wallet and it is working for me. Although I did have that same problem last week. Hm. Do you use mymonero to keep a good amount of coin? I can't find a user friendly, and secure way to store monero. Something like electrum for BTC. MyMonero is currently the most user friendly way. There is an official GUI wallet underway, but work is prioritized towards core issues with the database and other dev things. As long as you keep your seed words safe and your computer free of key loggers I think you can be confident storing your XMR using MyMonero. All the wallet generation is done in your browser, they don't know your private key. If you want to try it out just start an account there and PM me your address

Paying off the debt is of course a good idea.
Whatever you do, don't sell ALL the BTC. I would put at least 100 BTC in cold storage and forget about it. You don't want to be kicking yourself a couple years down the line when another bubble happens.

The Earl of Tavastia withdraws his offer to sell 25 shares of NLQI @ 2.0 and places a new offer to buy 25 shares @ 2.0 instead.
It appears that once again, the council of HM was swift and errorless. By the charter of the business plan, due to shares purchased, the Marquess is bound by duty to offer the perhaps overgenerous amount of 2.70 Mm per share of NLQI to any current holder that wishes to see some immediate profits from this enterprise. We will buy up to 50 shares at this price. Perhaps some cognac in the cup of the enterprising Earl or any other NLQI shareholder will sweeten this prospect? Who could turn down such an immediate and wondrous profit from only a year of owning some paper? EDIT: Due to some active trading, there has been some price volatility. The market now stands at: Marquess Joseph making markets for NLQI: avail qty at price WE SELL 10 3.50 Mm WE BUY 40 3.00 Mm No minimum order, fractional shares are allowed.Lord Saddam + Riddick will sell 10 shares of NLQI. Thank you for the profit. We need as much liquidity as possible in order to maximize the success of our quarrying operation.

Can someone explain to me who only occasionally watches Monero why it's going to shit pricewise? When I took a look at investing into monero but didn't it was at like $2, now coinmarketcap says it's trading at $0.37. WHY? Is Monero still working, is it still an untracable, anonymous crypto? Was it overtaken by a competitor? What's happening? I heard there was some trouble about attacks on the network and anonymint claiming he has broken monero or something. What's the state now? Monero looked super promising to me. Is there any real goods market for it? Shouldn't it attract certain types of markets for it's anonymous properties?
Would be happy to hear a short summary or at least link because there seem to be quite a of very long threads to read through to get informed.
when monero was $2, BTC was between $500-600. there was much more strength in all crypto this summer. confidence in BTC falls, alts hurt even worse. development on monero is strong as ever. i would like to answer more of your questions but i'm tired. someone else will fill you in
