1461  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: sigs2sell is a scammer on: January 07, 2017, 01:06:21 PM
You gave a newbie $30 or so upfront? Ugh. Use escrow. If escrow's aren't available and you're in a rush use a campaign manager or someone online that you feel is trustworthy. Literally anyone is more trustworthy than a newbie.

Does he also have your address? That would scare the crap out of me.
1462  Economy / Speculation / Re: Prepare for another year or two of dramatic decline. on: January 07, 2017, 12:59:28 PM
I don't care about the price, hype or manipulation. I look at protocol and network fundamebtals and how basic markets and economics can work.

Yet literally 90% of your threads are doomsday crap about the price about to drop with no reason, no evidence and frankly no logic. You've been wrong so many times it's impossible to take you as a credible source at this point.
1463  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Do you always missed the right time to sell/buy bitcoin? on: January 06, 2017, 11:01:18 PM
Well folks, if you didn't sell you missed the right time again. Good news though!!! Now is the right time to buy! So you didn't miss out!

I guess my gut was right. Should have sold when we were over $1500CAD. Now we're around $1200. Meh. $1200 is so 2016.
1464  Economy / Digital goods / Re: 1500$ FOR HALF PRICE! on: January 06, 2017, 10:58:33 PM
1800$. I'll accept a reasonable offer.

How about 10 satoshi and you pay the transaction fees.

First time I heard of that currency. How much is that in dollars?

Hahahaha quoted for future reference. Welcome to bitcointalk. Clearly this is your first account. No one will doubt that now. Thanks for making my day hahaha.

Try Google.com. It'll go in depth on explaining what a satoshi is. I'd take his offer, it seems like a good one.
1465  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin in the last 24 hours on: January 06, 2017, 10:45:02 PM
It's really unstable now. Prices drops and rises within $900 and $1,000. Not really going below $900 too much, just reaching around $870 and not really going above $1,000. It's very confusing to decide whether to sell or not at this point. Probably, I'll just hold and see what happens. I just hope it going back to $1,100 and above.

So many emotions on the market right now.  Cheesy
Bitcoin is in a rollercoaster since yesterday, but you can already see, that today the hops and drops are less extreme and more stable.
I wouldn't sell your coins at the moment, if you didn't sell them two days ago, now you should definitely hold them. Cool

Why hold them , BTC just peaked out on the Charts at $1189 on Jan 5th,
the dumping has begun, small at first , but the avalanche is but a day or 3 away.

The only reason to hold now is if you want to lose your money and wait 3 more years before the price gets close to $1200 again.
Last time BTC Peaked was Nov 2013 ~$1275, this peak (over 3 years later) did not even break $1200.

It will be the next halving in 2020 before these peaks are seen again.  Tongue

 Cool

FYI:
If you think all of those people in India will hold when it keeps dropping , you are in for a surprise.

FYI2:
Smart Move is to Bet on Trump and move into U$ Dollars before it skyrockets.

Lmfao. Ya, and you don't have an agenda right? Notice how bitcoins far outweigh the growth that has been seen in the USA? There's a reason for it. It's not going to crash to some terrible price. Look how many people are trying to buy in the 800s. It's just not going to happen. You sir, are a permabear.

FYI: zeitcoins are doing pretty terrible. Half of a satoshi each? Wow. I'd dump your shitcoin and move on son. That pump to 20 satoshis was your only chance to bail and make a few pennies hahaha. I guess you missed it.
1466  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin prices could leap to $2000 in 2017? on: January 06, 2017, 10:26:45 PM
2000? Sure why not? It can even get to 3000? I don't think it's going to be smooth sailings all the way. Like some people I just think there will be some dips but it won't be like it was before. My random guess is that the floor from now will be 800.

$3000 could be reached later in the year if the US dollar starts to collapse.

Lol bitcoins could be worth $1mil each if the USA gets rid of dollars and uses bitcoins only. What's your point? Are you predicting the collapse of the USD?
1467  Economy / Speculation / Re: this is a bear trap and we will go to 10k on: January 06, 2017, 10:21:55 PM

The 2013 rise started actually from about $110.

Did you actually looked at the relevant chart?
BTC started year 2013 from $13 or so.
First peak in April at $266, then bottomed at around $70 during summer.
$110 is an artificial time point to start.

that was a fake pump anyway, the new bottom was in fact $200

the correct way to view that pump is from 13 to 200, the rally to 1200 was forced and artificially induced

This time was much more slow and steady though. Right at the end here when we had a huge rally it was obvious there had to be a correction.

13-1200 is a huge huge swing, we (most likely) won't see anything like that ever again. That's all I was saying. The 1500% ROI was just an example. 100% ROI is still a hard thing to achieve year after year.
1468  Economy / Collectibles / Re: [Serious] How long does the paper in a casascius stay legible? on: January 06, 2017, 06:19:10 PM
Someone send me one of those 1000BTC coins and I'll watch until I can't read it anymore Wink. Sound good? I guess I could try it with a 10BTC coin too... But that would be much less erm.. Scientific shall we say? I'm MUCH more curious about the 1000BTC coins Smiley
1469  Economy / Speculation / Re: ($820) i told you so on: January 06, 2017, 06:12:39 PM

Well we are having a biiiiiiig red candle down to sub 1k, lets see if it does recover from this. 820 might happen soon

I think it will be 950$-1,000$ in this month. The decrease of bitcoin is only bear trap and They want more cheap bitcoins.
Please calm down. Do not try to sell anything if the price is down. Just only  buy more.

Meh, I'm not selling for a 20% dip. Screw that lol. I'm not a newbie, I can handle it  Grin. If you can't stomach 40% up then 20% down maybe you should bury some dollars in the backyard lol. At least then you know you'll always have -3%/year buying power Smiley. Print more money! That'll solve the issue!
1470  Economy / Speculation / Re: this is a bear trap and we will go to 10k on: January 06, 2017, 06:04:56 PM
Why ANYONE would cash out when the block reward halved just a few months ago, is beyond me.

It's what Bitcoin is all about. 1500% ROI here we come!

saying things like 10K price and 1500% ROI (which is $12800) is as worthless as saying bitcoin is going to crash to $50

this is speculation topic and it has turned into a place for people to say random stuff and some others spam FUD...

Thank you! Ya, 10k won't be happening over night. Some day for sure because 16b market cap is very small (or whatever we're at right now. Something between 14 and 18 lol). It's volatile but not that volatile anymore. Gone are the days of 1500% ROI in a matter of days/weeks.
1471  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Very little Press Coverage of Bitcoin's Rally this time on: January 06, 2017, 05:58:58 PM
There might not have been sufficient coverage of the rally, but the drop in its price has been highlighted.
Guess the media does like to promote sensational news.

https://qz.com/878931/bitcoin-lost-3-billion-in-market-value-in-40-minutes/
http://www.cnbc.com/2017/01/05/bitcoin-plummets-after-nearing-all-time-high.html
https://www.rt.com/business/372749-bitcoin-china-crash-currency/

Lol I know right? Holy shit I saw a few little articles about it hitting $1000 but then everyone loves a doomsday story I guess. "The price dropped 20%!!!" What they forgot to say is "after a 40% gain!" Lol. What a joke. It's volatile. Get used to it god damn mainstream media.
1472  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: Open Scammer DataBase on: January 06, 2017, 05:15:37 PM
Someone's already tried this.. but nobody really goes to these sites.. your main challenge is getting people to notice it because there's
always a vast abundance of scammers in bitcointalk alone! :DD

Well... Ad banners may be bidden for if enough donations come together. Also I just hope that some people will submit scammers and some people will use it to check accounts. Also I doubt someone has created something like this. This will use AI and machine learning technology to identify scammers itself, too.

I haven't seen anything like this before but that's not saying it doesn't exist. I think it's a good idea and it should help people avoid scammers. Once you have a good database it'll be easy to find people via bitcoin addresses, emails or whatever.
1473  Economy / Speculation / Re: this is a bear trap and we will go to 10k on: January 06, 2017, 05:01:13 PM
600 dollar is more likely.
Yes agree but for whom, 600$ is good? Of course for me it is good, because I need to catch low price to buy them and then hold, but who bought it when the price was 1100$ is very bad

If you bought at $1100 you were way late to the game anyways so way to go lol. $600, I doubt it. Maybe if we have a huge huge panic, but I really doubt that's going to happen. This correction was inevitable because the price skyrocketed up but the rises before this were very steady. We'll probably be fairly stable around this price now.
1474  Economy / Speculation / Re: Will Bitcoin Price Actually Drop? When? on: January 04, 2017, 06:51:59 PM

That is very true, but would you agree that bitcoin is more stable compared to the last drop in price?

I agree except for recent hours where it exhibits classic pump characteristics.

The HLODers are also "stronger" this time around because of everything they have been through.

Exactly. People learn from their mistakes. I know I did.

The bitcoin/gold analogy is accurate. Despite bitcoin's lack of acceptance and usage it thrives as a store of value.

I use bitcoins exclusively for a store of value and I bought back when they were 200-600 each so I mean, I'm not too worried if there's a correction at this point. I'm in for the long haul. I think if a lot of people don't get burned from a huge dump then we should have a lot of newcomers this time around. That'll help sustain the higher price. The mainstream media is definitely reporting this at this point so we're getting more greedy people interested too that are really too late to the game but hey, another few hundred added to each bitcoin is fine with me.
1475  Economy / Services / Re: [BitBlender] Signature Campaign - Seniors and up (CFNP) on: January 04, 2017, 06:43:32 PM
@Lutpin, I just want to confirm you received my PM. I understand if you're busy and haven't had time to look into it or send me a reply but I want to make sure it wasn't skipped over. Thanks.
1476  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: bitcoin transactions - Slow OR Fast on: January 04, 2017, 06:40:36 PM
it took me one hour or more to recieve my coins now~!

That's not what the op asked. He asked if TRANSACTIONS are slow or fast. Transactions are nearly instant so the question was worded wrongly. If you don't have a confirmation on your transaction yet that doesn't mean the transaction is slow, it means they paid you a piss poor fee because whoever sent it to you didn't care when it got to you, or was just cheap (or of course they don't understand how bitcoins work. Like yourself lol).
1477  Economy / Collectibles / Re: [Serious] How long does the paper in a casascius stay legible? on: January 03, 2017, 11:39:55 PM
What type of printing gives the longest shelf-life and under what conditions can this be achieved??

Engraving directly onto metal seems to work pretty good under any condition.

You just have to make sure that the engraved keys are not visible under X-Ray or some other technologie I didn't think of though.

There are much cheaper ways to compromise the key on a physical Bitcoin.  Tamper-evident holograms only keep honest people honest.

http://www.coindesk.com/defcon-hackers-crack-physical-bitcoin-casascius-coins/

Huh. Really makes you think, why would I want another possible way to get my bitcoins hacked? A physical hack would be a lot cheaper and could go undetected for a while. Let's say I bought a 25BTC coin, opened it up with their method and recirculated it by selling it. After a few years and a few different owners I could sweep the address and no one would know for sure who did it. That's just terrifying!!

Back on topic though, you'd have to find out exactly what make/model of printer he used to print the private keys. From their you could find out from the manufacturers website or google how long they would actually last.
That's why you should ways check the address on the coin via uberbills or the blockchain. Unless they replace the publickey with another existing 25btc key, which will get unnoticed until the original owner of the coin with that specific public key finds out.

If I were a smart enough criminal to used the solvent described in that article I'd have to assume that criminal would be smart enough not to take the money right away. That way everyone would know it was you rather than there being a 1/2 or 1/10 chance it was you. The only proof would be the only people who owned the coins in the past or future's (up until you steal them) word. This could happen with any physical bitcoin in a few years. Someone's going to be left holding the beg and the person to blame will be the coin maker.
1478  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin will be reach to $2000 at the end of 2017 ? on: January 03, 2017, 11:37:03 PM
Well as I said in another thread my source tells me $1450 by the end of next year but in July it will drop to $830. You can see who my source is on that other thread too.
1479  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Very little Press Coverage of Bitcoin's Rally this time on: January 03, 2017, 11:23:59 PM
Have you tried switching channels?

Personally, I don't have a TV altogether, and you may want to throw away yours. Whenever I see a TV broadcast somewhere, I feel loathe by the amount of advertising being thrown on me as well as the way the information is being fed. It is intended to hit mainly on emotions, not caring much about factual content and its authenticity (as well as impartial coverage), and you can't efficiently and coherently process what is actually being told to you. I understand that otherwise it would be boring, and ordinary people would simply turn off their TVs, but if I want emotions, I'd rather watch a movie (with no ads either)

It's all channels. I hate tv too but the wife is addicted to syfy network and the news channels so it's on all the time in my house. I can't even get away from it in the kitchen because the crazy woman bought a refrigerator with a tv in the door and mounted one behind the mirror in the master bathroom. Most people soak in the tub to relax but she watches fucking tv. The cable installer started laughing when I told him I need a line run to the kitchen and bathroom.

What's the purpose of a wife which watches TV all the time?

She has her talents and makes great sammiches too.  Wink

Hey QuestionAuthority can I come over for a sandwich!? Shocked you forgot to timestamp that picture by the way. Or did I just miss it somehow?

Press coverage has really picked up at this point so we'll have a lot more newbies coming our way folks. On that note, how can I earn 1 bitcoin? Where do I buy bitcoins? Trololololol.
1480  Economy / Speculation / Re: Will Bitcoin Price Actually Drop? When? on: January 03, 2017, 11:19:23 PM
There will be a new all time low of $830 on July 5th, 2017 but after that we'll stay above the $1000 mark, upwards of $1450 by the end of the year.

Source: I travelled to the future and asked a monkey. I couldn't understand a word he was saying but I think through monkey sign language I got the gist of what he was saying. Let's see how the prediction goes!!
