1421  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How to explain bitcoin to teenagers or children on: January 21, 2017, 01:57:22 PM
I think we should wait for the right time to teach to them about bitcoin because teaching it to them at young age or minds would be complicated for them but somehow they would able to cope up since we are already on a high technology era. Showing them videos about bitcoin is the most effective for me.

It depends on their curiosity because there are younger kids that are even more active with discoveries and wants to learn a lot with what's new in technology. Maybe if they are just showing interest with bitcoin then we should teach them but if they are not they let's don't waste our time talking to them things about bitcoin.

Kids aren't nessicarily always interested in what you have to say but that doesn't mean you shouldn't say it. Bitcoin's are part of the future and they'll need to know how they work. Why not get them in front of that hurdle? That seems the most logical to me. Even if for whatever reason bitcoins aren't used blockchain technology is here to stay.
1422  Economy / Gambling / Re: bitxcoin: New Jackpot Game Bitcoin 2017 betting now! on: January 21, 2017, 01:41:10 PM
Could you explain a little more what exactly you're saying? Maybe fix the spelling errors too while you're at it? It's hard to take you seriously with this being your first post and it's very unprofessional.
1423  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Insurance companies accepting Bitcoin? on: January 21, 2017, 12:48:22 PM
I'm currently training on one of the most leading insurance companies here in the Philippines and I will take my licensure examination this coming Monday.

It just comes to my mind that if ever there will be an insurance company that will accept bitcoin as their premium and bitcoin will also be given for every claims such as death benefit and other more, will it be successful or not? What do you think of this idea?

If you're insinuating that you pay 0.01BTC/mo (for example) and if you die you get a payout of 100BTC (for example it's not going to happen. If an insurance company accepts bitcoins the payout will not be based on bitcoin prices but the local fiat's value. If bitcoins rose to $2000 or $5000 each the insurance company would go broke. It's like how we don't have bitcoin mortgages because I'm not taking out a huge 200BTC mortgage only to have 200BTC be worth 5x more than the house in the future.
1424  Economy / Speculation / Re: Will Bitcoin break $2000? because of Trump? on: January 21, 2017, 12:44:30 PM
If Trump does a spending binge, all that will happen is that the Federal reserve will raise interest rates. Rising interest rates will strengthen the dollar against all currencies and against gold and bitcoin.

Bottom line is that Americans still trust the greenback.

Sad but true. No matter what there will always be a government entity that tries to manipulate the market. All the more reason to get heavily invested into bitcoins!
1425  Other / Off-topic / Re: Whats Your Current Balance In Bitcoins ? on: January 21, 2017, 04:15:39 AM
I have 0.1++ bitcoin as of now in my 2 wallets .that's my 2 weeks income from signature campaign,  trading and investing in ICO. I stored my bitcoin in online wallet like blockchain and coins.ph because it is the safe wallet for me. Before I trust in coinbase but last week they have an issue so I transferred all my bitcoin in coinbase to my others wallet.  But if coinbase resolve the issue  I'm Willing to transfer again my bitcoin .  I don't use offline wallet in computer yes it is safe but what if the computer is error or damage or memory is reset my bitcoin is gone or loss that my friend said.

Yes Your Point Is Right Online Services Are Easy, As Storing On machine makes you risky incase the machine gets damaged

100% WRONG. To all the newbies reading this bullshit you can just ignore it. What's more secure, never having your private key on a system with no internet thus 0 chance of being hacked, or keeping your coins on an exchange or online wallet that will get hacked at some point.

Again, bitcoins aren't fiat. You aren't talking about online banking here. Ffs google blockchain.info hacks or coinbase hacks. Don't take my word for it. They are by far the least secure way to secure your bitcoins. Don't be a fool.
1426  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: are there any sites that pay PPC with bitcoin? on: January 21, 2017, 04:00:24 AM
You will have a terrible time trying to find one that will accept you. I'd suggest sticking with google adsense or something similar unfortunately.
1427  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Will you burn your bitcoins IF something goes wrong? on: January 21, 2017, 03:58:13 AM
You aware that provably burning coin is a technical feat for most people ?

WTF people responding to this ?

It's very easy to send all your bitcoins to 1bitcoineaterdonotsend or whatever the address is. How exactly is that a technical feat? It's a simple transaction.
1428  Other / Off-topic / Re: Whats Your Current Balance In Bitcoins ? on: January 21, 2017, 03:55:36 AM
You don't have a balance. This isn't a bank account. If you want to know how many inputs at what value we're in control of then ask it, but don't use your dirty fiat terminology.
1429  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Will you burn your bitcoins IF something goes wrong? on: January 19, 2017, 12:00:21 AM
I would gather millions of bitcoins and make them my own currency. I would buy a small island and name it Bitcoinia. If you want to live on the island you'll have to use bitcoins as your currency. That's the dream anyways.
1430  Bitcoin / Press / Re: [2017-01-14]Nigeria Warned its Citizens About Onecoin and Bitcoin This Week on: January 15, 2017, 01:30:30 AM
If my government came out and said something as stupid and ignorant as this I would but as many bitcoins as I could because obviously them making a statement about it means they need you to keep your money tied up with them for one reason or another. It just seems petty and desperate tbh.
1431  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: 95% lol. No chance. SegWit is now dead. on: January 15, 2017, 01:21:04 AM
Good job Roger Ver, it looks like SegWit has absolutely no chance at all of getting anywhere near 95%.  I doubt they will ever get over 50%.

SegWit is not Bitcoin.  SegWit is an altcoin.

I feel it is my duty as a concerned citizen and valuable contributor of the Bitcoin community to declare SegWit dead on arrival.

no point giving roger Ver the blame or fame. Ver only had ~10% so dont let blockstream make you believe Ver alone..

it's the other 65% that were not in agreement with blockstream aswell...
but we all know blockstream are gonna ply lots of investors with alcohol and free drinks in miami this month. so we will soon see if those investors linked to mining farms suddenly change their minds after a bit of blockstream ass kissing

There's only so much schmoozing you can do. I highly doubt at this rate we'll see segwit take off. It's too bad but ugh, the 95% that was decided on was a stretch from the get go.
1432  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin sponsors in the White House?! on: January 14, 2017, 11:53:41 PM
Lol ya I think people just want to believe he's a huge supporter but I doubt he is.

Senator Schumer has called Bitcoin “untraceable.”

And I called senator Schumer mentally incompetent. I'm pretty sure a currency where literally anyone in the world can watch your transactions is traceable hahaha! Duuuhhh.
1433  Economy / Economics / Re: Bitcoin User Poll #4 - Wealth - how big is your...errr....bitcoin stash? on: January 14, 2017, 11:47:12 PM
Lol I assume most people on this for are holding less than half of a bitcoin. If you have 100s of bitcoins you must REALLY shit your pants with a 30% drop hahaha. I applauded anyone who can afford to stomach that!!
1434  Economy / Currency exchange / Re: Have 945$ PayPal for 500$ BTC on: January 14, 2017, 11:41:00 PM
Bwahahaha! Holy crap obvious scams are obvious.

No one give him any bitcoins. He'll charge back. 100% for sure. Don't use escrow because an escrow can't protect you from charge backs!! Just stay away!!
This forum gets more pathetic on the daily not everyone is here to scam. please do research india paypal can't send as family and friends.
I have done a deal with ads2alpha on here already. he hasn't accused me of scamming so far. it's always the people who don't even have enough money to exchange with you who accuse of scamming.

obvious scams are obvious? you sound morally defect

Lol you're saying this like somehow friends and family will prevent a charge back with the stolen credit card you're clearly using. news flash! friends and family payments will always be charged back in the event of creditcard fraud. Not that you're even offering friends and family lol. Sounds legit. What address should I make my $500 donation to?
1435  Economy / Games and rounds / Re: [Raffleception] Win tickets to "The Raffle of All Raffles"! #9 on: January 14, 2017, 11:36:21 PM
0.005BTC is still too rich for my blood considering it's a 1/8 chance of having a 1/256 chance but it's much better odds than a lottery I guess! I'll have to wait until the raffle within a raffle within a raffle. Does time move slower with each raffle within a raffle? I'll just assume it does.
1436  Economy / Digital goods / Re: WINDOWS SERVER 2016 PRODUCT KEYS (+ vouch copies) - CHEAP on: January 14, 2017, 11:21:32 PM
Ok well I'm not a newbie so you can't attack me with that remark, so how did you get them? Why would anyone trust their server to run with something you've sold if you can't even tell us if you got them from some legitimate method?
I build reputation on this forum, by selling. This is the first time I see you here.

Trust farming. Gotchya. First time you've seen me around? That's because you haven't been here very long. We've seen it all here so your little games won't work. You can cancel your end game now.
1437  Economy / Web Wallets / Re: Blockchain.info Problems on: January 14, 2017, 11:19:09 PM
The Recommended fee is usually about 0.00012, and my transactions weren't getting confirmed fast enough. So I bumped it up to 0.00018 and they confirm in under 30 minutes. Sometimes I will use 0.0002 to ensure quick confirms.

Please use Satoshis per byte or your arbitrary number mean absolutely nothing. Were your fees for 1 input? 5? 25? It makes the world of difference. Even then no one should have a set fee they spend because the fees needed are ever-changing.

1440  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: What is mining and how do you do it? on: January 14, 2017, 04:33:33 PM
If you want to mine with hardware you already own you should look into asics resistant altcoins.  If you have relatively cheap electricity (under 7 or 8 cents) you may be able to mine bitcoins with a small profit (after you pay for your hardware of course). I'd suggest doing a lot more of your own research to find out what would make the most for you.
