ok so when you say clean data dir was that in the existing 'harddrive' for wine? or did you do a fresh install? (ie a new C:\ folder)
1202  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: [TEST RELEASE] Cryptonite binary for linux (NEW: Qt and Windows builds) on: July 21, 2014, 08:22:12 PM
I am getting this now when I run it (even the newest build):

fixme:winsock:WSAIoctl SIO_GET_EXTENSION_FUNCTION_POINTER: unimplemented TransmitFile
Finalize Node
Finalize Node
Finalize Node

using the wine64 cryptonited.exe

Edit: I even used a clean dir.

is that native windoze or wine bud?

Wallet version 1.03 working fine and synched immediately. New look is great, awesome logo.
-Though my 25000 HYP (TRK) (from copied wallet.dat file) still shows as unconfirmed. Always has been that way.

It might be from after the fork. Try typing your wallet address into the HYP block explorer and seeing if anything shows up.

Address shows 'not seen on the network'. Hmm. Oh, well. Thank-you for the suggestion.

Open up the info for the tx in question then put that address into the block explorer and see what it says.

Got picked up by a new exchange, let me know how they are https://www.coincubess.com/trading/HYP_BTC

Looks suspicious at first glance.

lol A little shady indeed! Can't seem to figure out how to get a BTC deposit address which is not encouraging for an exchange. Anyone trade here before?

[edit] Could be a scam https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=702513.0 presstab did you get an email like this?

the price is ridiculously low... 500ppl for 0.01btc what kind of hashrate do you need to make that ?
(and there is basically no buy...)

Naw, feel free to post - I'm not going to waste my time putting all this up if nobody is interested.
I will be linking to a .zip with all of the files I am referring to as well, once I get all these written.

No sir, please share! I've been very curious of how MP's work and this guide so far has been great!
1207  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: [TEST RELEASE] Cryptonite binary for linux (NEW: Qt and Windows builds) on: July 18, 2014, 09:28:16 PM
A neat trick I learned from this project is the ldd command. Put that in front of the binary and run it and will tell you if you meet the dependencies or not. Post what it shows and we get you up and running bud.

aha! No sir, they are not

Go here http://gpile.it/cryptonite/ and download the most recent files for your OS
1211  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: [TEST RELEASE] Cryptonite binary for linux (NEW: Qt and Windows builds) on: July 18, 2014, 05:56:40 PM
are you sure you have the most current version? Only reason I ask is there were old versions that had that bug where it would get stuck on the blockchain
1212  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: [TEST RELEASE] Cryptonite binary for linux (NEW: Qt and Windows builds) on: July 18, 2014, 03:35:12 PM
Well I could be mistaken on this BUT I am pretty sure linux uses just one and windows two? I know for a fact about linux but do not use windows much for wallets and when I do it's never with flags. I usually rock a config file since those are cross platform/universal.
1213  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][HYP] HyperStake | Proof of Stake | 750% Annual | Coin-Swap & AllCoin on: July 18, 2014, 02:39:12 PM
Dev, you still here? Any news?

PressTab is very active.  This coins is only a few weeks old.

Do you have any specific questions or issues? What news are you looking for?
News regarding new features being implemented, or any stuff related to hyperstake really, since the price on coinswap is becoming very discouraging

If you want the skinny on what the devs are thinking, I strongly encourage you to join them on ##hyperstake @ freenode. Both spend a good amount of time there and often are talking about plans for features etc

PressTab is very active.

This might be the understatement of the year!

1214  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: [TEST RELEASE] Cryptonite binary for linux (NEW: Qt and Windows builds) on: July 18, 2014, 02:31:47 PM
hmmm now that I see your post I wonder if I had one - or two in front of testnet... That would fit my track record! lol

The other possibility is I made a damn mess of this system trying to get it to work yesterday.

Either way, current build is working now so happy days (and I might be my own worst enemy)

@watuba yes and the -1 flag means to use all available cores and is the default setting for setgenerate. If you didn't want to use all available you would change the -1 to the number of cores. ie setgenerate true 2 to use just 2 cores.
1215  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: [TEST RELEASE] Cryptonite binary for linux (NEW: Qt and Windows builds) on: July 17, 2014, 10:33:50 PM
I will give it another go tomorrow sir

in the meantime, here is my linux qt log from earlier

exactly. something along the lines pf "win64....exe has stopped working" and nothing of value though I supposed I could check out the event viewer and see if there is anything there. Let me see if I can get you any more info sir.

AN IMPORTANT ANNOUNCEMENT ABOUT THE FUTURE OF HYPERSTAKE

We have now seen how the HyperStake network runs, how the inflation looks, the blocks coming in etc. I have had several chats with various members of the community and we all think it will be best to add in some additional methods of inflation control.

Right now my goal is to control inflation without reducing the 750% stake rate. One of my goals is to prove that 750% can be done if you do it correctly.  So I am thinking about 2-3 weeks out from now we will have a hard fork adding some additional inflation control methods.  Right now I have some ideas but am still running a lot of spreadsheet models with different scenarios.

I like what one of the prominent members of the community here said when I was discussing inflation control with him: "let the horse gallop a bit and then pull back on the reigns".

So right now I encourage everyone to watch the horse gallop, ie keep an eye on inflation and see what you think.  The easiest way to watch inflation is going to your debug window (help->debug window->console) and typing in moneysupply.  This is a custom RPC call that I added so that we can monitor inflation. It will give you reports of the last 960 blocks (the targetted block count for 1 day), 6720 blocks (7 days), and 28800 (30 days). The time change report is how many days it took to generate those blocks.  I would warn you to ignore the 30 day projected moneysupply because this formula needs to be tweaked still and is grabbing data from the TRK mining phase and assuming that inflation will go forward.

So keep in mind a change will be coded into the next wallet release, but also realize that my goal is to not affect the 750% rate.  Let me know your thoughts!

So is this why you haven't been on irc all day?

Sounds like tons-o-fun and look forward to seeing how this project evolves. Keep up the good work sir!

ok apparently I missed the exe in the taskmgr. It was still running in the background (but no GUI)

-resync gives just a plain crash with this in the log:

Restarting and this time clicking Ignore gives this error window:

Assertion Failed! File: treeview.cpp Line 22 / Expression: fread(&sz,1,4,filein) with the option to abort, retry, ignore

Ignored

Next window:  Assertion Failed! File: treeview.cpp Line 24 / Expression: fread(buf,sz,1,filein) with the option to abort, retry, ignore

Ignored

Client does not fireup and also does not give a windows window saying the exe has crashed (which is kinda weird) Confirmed with taskmgr and the exe is definitely not running.
