For anyone that uses my sgminer version (https://github.com/badman74/sph-sgminer and https://github.com/badman74/Binaries/archive/master.zip)
The method to set CPU algo's has changed, it is now set with --algorithm instead of --kernel.
also --difficulty-multiplier is only needed if the pool wont accept your shares as the most common diff is already set
this miner can do scrypt, nscrypt, scrypt-jane, plus all the new CPU algo's from PHM
and though i haven't tested it, gridseed ASIC should be supported
please see NEWS.md and /doc/configuration.md for more info

You should start your own thread for your fork bud so we can follow it properly.

1487  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: [ANN] New Product From Sha Software: Raven on: April 16, 2014, 01:23:14 AM
Hey guys,

CTO for Sha Software here, looking for some input on Raven. Do you have any requests for features or exchange implementations? Any bugs to report?

You can contact us either here through posts, PMs or email us at shasoftware0@gmail.com and we can address the request or issue.

Kraken and Bittrex implementation is now complete and has been published to the github within a week this afternoon.

Thanks,

Sure, get some folks on here to review your code so I can give it a whirl! (sorry, don't run code from new folks on the forum and I can't read code very well)

ASSuming your app is straight, pumping out exchange integration would be crucial. If your app gives arb opportunities then that would be a sure fire way to get some attention around here.

Good luck.

1491  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] FAC = New coin to rival Marinecoin! on: April 11, 2014, 08:17:34 PM
** INTRODUCKTION***

Ok so see here guys im starting anew coin that is REVOLUTIONERY and probably beyoynd your meager comprehension but whatevs ya know?

* MINING LIEK A DORF ****

Now we all know that MARKET CAP is everything rite? It proves that coin is valuble and whatnot so my coin will have STUPID BIG MARCET CAP. How? I'll tell you ya impatient ninny shut up let me fuinish !!! this coin will be 99.997% premined with one block mind per day and a fixd  reward of 1 satoshi per blok FOR FAIRNESS. HARD MINING IS GOOD MINING AND WILL MAKE YOU VALUE YOUR COIN its basic economics 101 really. you'd understand if you went to cambridge like i did

****MARCERTS***

There will be a market for the coin which is called fuckingacoin by the way (FAC) I will buy FAC for $1000 per FAC finamnced by teh premine. I know clever right? Oh yeah dforgot to mention that there will be 36 trillion FACs premined so multiply $1,000 by 36 trillizon and that makes a pretty big number I reckon. It coinmarketcap doesn't list us ASAP it will be proof that they are biast and nothing but winklevoss pumpanddumpers

*** CONCLUSION *88

WEBSITE COMING SOON AT FUCKINGACOIN.COM will sell premind coins at $1000 per but limit 20 per customer

i should just paste whatever is on my clipbored so here goes http://www.reddit.com/r/FuckingACoin/

This was pretty funny.

Well as the developer we have got a contingency plan and had been expecting a coin like this sooner or later,

I will not give info about ours here but it is beyond imagination,
let's see your's first if it is a real rival we will release our own contingency coin, it is already setup actually with a website but unannounced and I can safely say its a killer, no one can rival that one for sure. add the fact that people trust Marinecoin on these matters.

So think twice before wasting too much effort because we will make sure your joy won't last a day.

Good Luck

Are you serious or huffing glue?
1492  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: 23,000 Shares Mined within 24 hours with CPU on: April 10, 2014, 05:31:09 PM
I think you need to read up on a couple of things. That pool is never going to find a block. You can get 10 billion shares if you like, but if you dont find a block, you get 0 doge. And you wont find one.

Please read, then re-read the bolded sentences above. Then read it again.
1493  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Drinking and trading do not mix! on: April 10, 2014, 05:22:37 PM
ha If I had a nickle for every time I made a bad move while drunk on an exchange I might have enough to make up for my losses!

I feel you pain sir.
1494  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: 23,000 Shares Mined within 24 hours with CPU on: April 10, 2014, 12:41:05 AM
Now, I have not huffed any glue yet today so my head is far from straight, but do please explain how you plan on finding blocks with CPU's?
1495  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Security flaw found in almost all crypto related software on: April 08, 2014, 03:45:17 PM
Seems limited to the process but very dangerous nonetheless.

When I heard about it, I figured that 64KB wasn't enough to look for things like secret keys. The heap, on x86 at least, grows up, so I figured that pl would simply read into newly allocated memory, such as bp. Keys and the like would be allocated earlier, so you wouldn't be able to read them. Of course, with modern malloc implementations, this isn't always true.

And further, you won't be able to read the memory of any other process, so those "business critical documents" would need to be in memory of the process, less than 64KB, and be nearby pl.

you can say that again! bloody everything runs on openssl ffs.

What is your command? Are you sure you are using the right kernel?
1497  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] [Twecoin] [TWE] CPU/GPU - 4 op new hash| NO PREMINE| LAUNCHED! on: April 06, 2014, 01:21:27 AM
I have tried the erebor and moria pool at Dwarf Pool with the new sgminer and getting no accepted shares

You need the new sgminer, not original one by phm, but with fixed pool-support: https://github.com/Atrides/sph-sgminer

I tried that one and there is no sgminer to start the bat

No, that you would have to build from source which is not the easiest thing in the world to do in windose.
