I'm not sure about the other person, but I can say that Spoetnik means well and I have found myself in agreement with him more often then not. Not sure whats got his dick so hard about hyperstake though...

meh. growing pains.

Thats amazing. Last night I was thinking about what such a chart would look like and low and behold here one is. I should go buy a lotto ticket or something.

Good work sir!

I hate all scams. Read the OP again if you still don't understand why people should have a problem with this.

A legit coin would have modified the latest Peercoin source and had a normal launch, and if they had nothing to hide why edit the fork date out afterwards? Kinda important don't you think?

I'm sorry, legit coin? How many coins have you coded again?

The only one hiding anything is your chicken shit ass.

What does my coding have to do with anything? None to answer your question.

I don't even need to ask to know that you're one of the big bagholders that got in on this scam early. Typical...

Very relevant because you have no idea what it takes to modify a code base.

Bagholder : In U.S. financial slang, a bagholder is a shareholder left holding shares of worthless stocks.

Scam :
noun
1.
a confidence game or other fraudulent scheme, especially for making a quick profit; swindle.
verb (used with object), scammed, scamming.
2.
to cheat or defraud with a scam.

Let me rewrite that for you so you do not look so ignorant:

"I already know from my extensive time in the ##hyperstake chan that you are an early joiner of the hyperstake experiment and also one of the most generous people with your coins because of it."

There, that is better

Could someone translate the OP's allegation to me? I really don't understand...what is his point?

Disclaimer: I don't own any HYP, I am just trying to understand.

I apologize if I wasn't clear..

The point is that the coin distribution is fraudulent. Forking a coin into a new one is fine, the issue here is that these guys KNEW they were going to fork TRK days/weeks beforehand..  yet they only posted the ANN hours before the actual fork was to happen. This means that for days/weeks, the scammers knew any TRK they owned would entitle them to free HYP, and were free to accumulate TRK unnoticed...

I don't see how this is any different than releasing a cpu only coin, while the devs have a GPU miner.

iantunc, another bagholder I assume? I realize you, the rest of the bagholders along with these so-called developers wish the facts would go away (not accusations, facts. ) but unfortunately for you that's not going to happen. It's everyone's responsibility to out scammers whenever possible.

Oh boy. Now I know you can use the internet or else you wouldn't be on these forums, so in the future, please lookup the meaning of the words you are misusing.

I'm thinking that the issue here is no one sent you a memo about it... or you really are that ignorant about the things you are talking about. So come here, sit on my lap and let me tell you a story about cryptocoins...

TRK for the sake of argument, officially died on July 5th with a post from the original TRK dev telling us what we already knew, he didn't have the time for TRK.

THE VERY NEXT DAY and surprise, the very next post is from presstab announcing his plans to fork.

At this juncture in time TRK was next to valueless and had no future. HyperStake at least offered an opportunity to take those valueless coins and see if presstabs and davids economic experiment would crash and burn or succeed. It was not a hard decision to make for many trk holders. The beginning was rough. Between the buggy code and the lack of mature coins to ensure a smooth blockchain, those who hung on were in for an interesting experience to say the least. Fast forward to today and 197 commits latter, and HyperStake is not only a very fun and welcoming community to be a part of, but also raising the bar for future PoS coins.

Then it might be best if you stopped talking about things you do not comprehend. Your personal attacks on credibility against 'these so-called developers' again reflects on your ignorance of coin project creation and managing and would do yourself a grand service to shy away from such remarks in your future postings.

1026  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: [SCAMS] Get to know your local scam coin cloner today ! on: October 22, 2014, 03:37:28 AM
oh Spoetnik you crazy bastard, I do love you so.

SO let me get this straight, you are saying hyp is a scam because tranz5 worked on the coin (with an amazing one commit) and this somehow means that some guy named shakezulu wants to ban you on the polo troll box?

And how the fuck can you get off calling this shit a clone scam when there is on average more then one commit posted a day for the past 30 days? Really?

Weak sauce. Come to our irc and I will personally rain love all over you.  Wink

Hi all.
I am new to this coin and was curious what the latest wallet version is? I am running OS X and seem to be having trouble syncing a wallet. Have 0 active connections to hyper stake network. Have closed and relaunched a few times. Have deleted the peers.dat file. Nothing seems to be helping.
Any help appreciated.
Thanks!

If that doesn't sort you out join us in irc (##hyperstake on freenode.net) and we can try to help you further

I have 12 active connections normally but if I want to add more peers from http://hyp.cryptocoinexplorer.com/peerinfo ,I can do it ?

Yes when you start your wallet, do it from terminal or command line. "HyperStake-qt.exe -maxconnections=20"

addnode IP only add

or

addnode IP:port add

?

I've always included the port when doing addnode

It's too late to profitably invest at this moment, isn't it?

I guess it depends on your profit goals.

No, you are not going to 10x your investment

BUT you might double it easily... OR even just make a slight margin... but you'd be hard pressed to actually loose money I think

Agreed. A little late, but HYP is only going to steadily climb so buy what you can and start staking.
As long as it generates more BTC then POW you are OK.
With current prices, try to set up a spread of several buy orders.
For selling same applies.

lol PoW... man this coin has spoiled me. Maintaining my wallet is a LOT easier then chasing after profitable coins to mine. Much easier to participate in chain security without the need of $$$ in hardware and upkeep.

Crypto markets are volatile. High PoS markets tend to have thin order books because everyone is staking. My suggestion is to buy or sell over several days if not weeks so that you can average out your price instead of play the game of trying to time it exactly right.
I'd agree with this, and also many sells at small increments from your minimum up to a ridiculous high (cuz you never know), and be willing to adjust UPWARDS quickly if the market is moving.

right and to add to this the obvious that the averages work out in your favor. Buy 5k, put it in one block and in 9-10ish days you will have 6k. Easy to get your average cost down that way and why I really love this coin

Price is going insane right now... Two days in a row of 40% increase. I'll be extremely surprised/pleased if HYP maintains the value..

I do not think that it will. Buy side is thinning out and this is just a spike in demand and not a new floor.

I'd like to invest but it's a bit dangerous after such a big increase.

I agree! Maybe set some buys in the area of 5k? I feel that should be the floor giving the history of steady growth... and with the price spiking so high you might get lucky and get dumped on

Nobody is surprised by this.. right?

The only thing that surprises me is the lack of creativity in the excuses given.

I must say I am impressed on how stable this market is and am also surprised as how the community of "HYPsters" stick together along with the ever expanding technology that the coins founders seek.

Great work HYP community!  Smiley

Yes, honestly the HYP community is the friendliest and coolest I have found in all of crypto.  I really wish we could do a small HYPcon someday!   Cheesy

http://www.lvcva.com/

Ok step one, get them to accept HYP

Nope.

That's down the line. Get enough people together to pledge to go there IF they accept HYPE and pay an advance in HYP. THAT would be step one. Organize it and set a tentative date, step two. Then approach them about accepting HYP.

I like how you think sir.
