Hey OP, can you describe a little bit better your fantastic asic resistant features to the comminity? As long as you don't do it, i'm considering this a perfect example of scam coin
CryptoNight use much Memory for Hashing, it need lot's of Power, that is the reason you see your Hashrate in h/s and not in KH/s like in LiteCoin or MH/s like in Bitcoin. It is also ASIC resistant because it is a new Algo and we change and make CryptoNight better and better. if you want a more technical answere just ask again holy shit, great answer! |

Yes, I got that PM and tought the same. I am using Linux tough so first I could not try the game, and second if I had tried I would be safe. Good that you warn other users for that tough, I admire that. And one tip from me: use Linux, Windows sucks  Hear hear to that! Good ol *nix laughing all the way for the win. |

I've been talking to kassado on #bittrex, and it looks like he thinks anything over a 20% PoS rate is too high. Our 200% is 10x that. One thing I was thinking of to limit the exponential growth of this coin was to patch it so that PoS reward goes down over time to settle at a rate like 10% or so. Thoughts on this? Ideas how we could smoothly do this to keep the coin viable?
don't change anything. Please don't play central banker. Alot of us invested real BTC because it was 200% PoS. CAP is forking to 200% and its trading at 10k SAT. Nothing wrong with high interest. Even Sunny King himself said that low interest is TOOO LOW. Cryptos are volatile you need high interest to protect investors and attract new ones. Don't screw this up by listening to other people. You set the network parameters at launch, stick to them. Glad to hear some support in favor of keeping the high interest rate. I think the interest rate of coins these days is too low also. If we are "encouraging bagholding" like #bittrex said, I would say that is way better than continuous dumping...don't you think?

Is there any IPO here? What new does your project offer to us and why would anyone mine the coins?
Why would anyone mine a coin? To get a piece of the action. What is offered to the community is a voice, and a movement in which everyone can direct their efforts in a coordinated manner to clean up the marketplace. I am the one doing all the programming, so any more questions I'll be happy to answer. The biggest thing Coinshield has that every other coin doesn't, is a purpose. Now it has a function in the community, just like anything of innovation should have. Even some coins that do have programmed innovation generally only stop there. The new innovations are going to come in the form of what is necessary for the growth and fruition of Bitcoin, and others Alike. EDIT: No IPO, really puts on a bad name =/ this is only because it has been a targeted vector for scams, otherwise is a beautiful part of the free market [successfully implemented in a system with a pinch of regulation]. I love the use of 'shitcoin' in the op and this is an interesting idea.
As for GPU algos, why not skein or groestl?
What are advantages / comparisons between skein or groestl and any other GPU algorithm? [Explain More] So we can all know  ~Videlicet I am looking for reputable sources for my claims but skein has a much higher hashrate with less energy than scrypt and grostl is less higher hash but much more energy efficient. If I can't find solid proof in these fourms today then I will do a quick test tonight to double check. Memory serves using the python skein miner my 270x never broke 50C though... I mean it was a mind blowing difference on heat generated. |
