egad I hope it wasn't much... you can buy your way onto bittrex for .5 BTC last I heard.

Still. Good work bud! It would be nice to buy some more in a more legit manor. Never much cared for OTC myself for the reasons the past few posts have made obvious.

ok, newsflash suckas, if this cat did scam, then you need to leave negative trust instead of shit talking in thread. Shit talking does nothing, at least the negative trust will stick with him.
1283  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][HYP] HyperStake | Proof of Stake | 750% Annual | Fun Economics Experiment on: July 09, 2014, 10:36:18 PM
gullu also what OS are you using? I know that David Latapie had a very slow sync towards the end and he was using Arch. Also keep in mind that having several other coin client open can slow you down as well. Hope this information helps.
(xp and hiding my face)
i have deleted the chain(of course saved the walled) and restarted the wallet.
it is updating the chain.
i shall update you should i run into a problem.

thanks

ha don't be ashamed! xp was the last good win os (in my judgemental linux using opinion of course) and myself have this client running in an xp vm on my server. With that being said, it can be sloooooooooooooow doing much of anything and now that I am looking at my wallet, it has stalled as well. Last time this happened I deleted and resynched like  you are doing so lets just hope that process sorts itself out.

Not sure what the deal is with this.. I know I have deleted that datadir at least twice while using TRK and now once with HYP. I think I am gonna start backing these up for review by someone more knowledgeable

my wallet earlier was stuck at "~125 blocks remaining"(i think), so i restarted the wallet thinking it would faster.

now it is stuck at 212 remaining.

any thoughts on this?

what is the output of getinfo in the console?
1285  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: The end of Mintpal - Which exchange will be the new leader? on: July 09, 2014, 08:21:39 PM
Also it didn't help that MP has now earned the reputation that when a coin gets added to Mintpal, it will 90% of the time end in a dump. If you're the average person, why would you want to keep trading on a platform you know you will lose money on?

+1000 !

I tend to watch their 'vote' page as listing of coins to avoid like the plague for that very reason.

I could be wrong but couldn't that just be from whales using Mintpal and dumping the coins they bought at a low price.  Buying on the rumor selling on the news could possibly explain the frequent dump of new coins.  I know I've held my share of bags, so I can relate to the frustration.

I was thinking more along the lines of the horrific dumps after 'not-so-new' coins get added there after being on polo for a while.
1286  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][ISR] Isracoin - The Israeli cryptocurrency on: July 09, 2014, 06:28:22 PM
I have a theory and I bet ISR will go slightly up today on BT.

Is your coin valued against the souls of dead Palestinian children? If so you might be right.
1287  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What would U do if CryptoCoins made U very rich? on: July 09, 2014, 05:46:03 PM
well not really hitting it rich but monero paid for me to take my kids on their first family vacation which was pretty bad ass.

hmmm I know I am johhny come lately to this test but can't seem to get past block 32/33? (yes, I remembered the -tesnet flag! lol)

Looking at my log seems like this repeats about twice a minute or so

Code:

Could the issue be the client is trying to mine before its synced?

[edit] Ok, weirder still. So I changed the gen in the conf, retried, still stuck. Deleted everything, retried, still stuck. This time in the log I am seeing this:

Code:
2014-07-09 01:34:02 Misbehaving: 66.45.239.67:18253 (0 -> 10)
2014-07-09 01:34:03 Misbehaving: 66.45.239.67:18253 (10 -> 20)

and now when I try to do getinfo I am getting this:

Code:
r00t@Hoverquarters ~/Downloads $ ./cryptonited -testnet getinfo
error: {"code":-1,"message":"CDB : Error -30974, can't open database wallet.dat"}

I can still run getmininginfo but nothing is being wrote to the log and restarting doesn't change anything

Which in my mind means its now time for a whiskey break

1293  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: [ANN] CPU Coin List - CpuCoinList.com - Alt Coins For Your CPU on: July 08, 2014, 09:03:20 PM
- Updated exchange qualifications for coins on list. Coins need to get on exchange or they are pulled.

I think that is more than fair and will definitely help cut back on the 'riff raff' so to speak. Keep up the great work sir!

I'd like to sell around 50k HYP, but the trading thread is dead at the moment. Any takers?

How much do you want for em?
1295  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][HYP] HyperStake | Proof of Stake | 750% Annual | Fun Economics Experiment on: July 08, 2014, 02:55:20 PM
still stuck

Wallet got stuck multiple times for me whilst downloading the blockchain. Restarting the client fixed it.

Same here for the most part though one time it did miraculously get unstuck after walking away for a few minutes.
1296  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: [TEST RELEASE] Cryptonite binary for linux (mini-blockchain implementation) on: July 03, 2014, 01:43:09 AM

Am I stupid or is minep.it not paying out? Going on day three after requesting a payout and no coins nor a response from the admins in their thread or via email. What the shit?
1298  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] MinePit - The future of mining pools on: June 26, 2014, 12:17:54 AM
Is it supposed to take more than a day to get a payout after a request has been made?

Ok, so if I understand you correctly, I can delete my data dir and restart and it will sort itself out?

except my block count is not increasing in my getinfo... im getting headers, but not processing blocks.

[edit] and ffs have I done anything but embarrass myself in this thread? lol

you call it embarrassment i call it opportunity to poke fun at you  Grin

Like you need the help sir.
