As long as they do the right precaution to prevent the virus they have the right to open the business. We have been battling the virus, it's not healthy anymore if we will allow it to defeat us, our economy is very important, because without a bad economy it will only make the problem worse.
1562  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Best time to buy or wait a little bit ? on: June 20, 2022, 11:11:28 PM
You first to know what is your plan after buying Bitcoin...
Though to say that this was a good time to buy Bitcoin but see to that you can also afford to hold them as we are not sure if dump will continue after buying. It has for you to know as well that holding is necessary at this bear season and might takes too long before to make a profit. Thus, if this seems okay for you, then that was the time to make a decision and buy as much as you can.
1563  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Reason why I won't be buying top altcoins in this bear market on: June 20, 2022, 02:18:24 PM
Somewhere your point of view is correct I also think that some top ranked altcoins will be replaced by other quality altcoins except Ethereum nevertheless I think rank doesn't matter we should consider to invest in good utility and strong fundamental based altcoins although the current market condition is not appropriate to invest more money in altcoins now the time is to have patience and hope for something positive.
We have the same belief that Ethereum will never be replaced in its rank. But the other altcoins, they're likely to be exchange ranks and places because it's the most volatile of them all. The investors that have diversified a lot from altcoins and didn't save bitcoin or Ethereum, they're the ones that will have the bloodiest portfolio of them all. Too many exchanges shall happen and the strongest last year might be the weakest for this year and for the next years to come. It's a cycle and a continuous change.
There is a possible reshuffle of coins rank after this bear season as I'm going to believe that only reliable and has working products will survive while useless and shitcoins will dump to die. In fact, we'd seen this situation before, numbers of projects went down and never recover anymore. This is expected to see and so investing those coins that have been known to its profitability like ETH and BNB are worth to buy during this time.
1564  Economy / Speculation / Re: Today is the day on: June 19, 2022, 11:27:12 AM
The bear season isn't finished yet, I think we have to prepare for the worse and more dead times for Bitcoin.

I have seen recently that Bitcoin is moving back close to $20k, a short pump might lead to something a huge dump in return. I was thinking now for $15k, might this be possible?

It has to say that the month of June is more troublesome, I expect more panic selling rather than accumulations.
1565  Economy / Speculation / Re: What goes up must come down on: June 17, 2022, 03:10:12 PM
In before sub $20k.
it only take couple of Months before it comes true , even me did not believe what you are saying last year but now it looks like clearly indeed to happen and yes it already happened.
but at least you predicted 20k and not below that level right?  Grin
Predictions that are quite painful when now come true, I hope some people here no longer predict bitcoin prices will decline because maybe some of them will come true Grin, the current decline in bitcoin prices has really made many people including me lose half of the estimated money that I have, I hope that no more bad news hits bitcoin so maybe we will not cry tears of blood again Cry.

It's only painful of bitcoin will collapse and will not recover anymore. What we are witnessing now is just normal here in crypto, we've seen many times before that bitcoin collapse but the good news is that it always bounces back and recovers.

If you still remember the bull run happened in 2017 when bitcoin hit $20k, after that, the correction came and bitcoin dumped to sub $3k, that's a huge loss but those who panicked did not enjoy the bull period because bitcoin hit over $60k from $3k low in 2018 IIRC.

So the point is, if bitcoin hits $10k or $5k, I think we should consider stacking up bitcoin so we will be able to enjoy the next bull run, and I have a feeling that the next bull run will result to a new ATH of bitcoin reaching at least $100k.

Nice game between the SMB and Magnolia now. I  took the SMB when they were down and I got them on ML.

It's still a close game now, both teams are just trading baskets and it doesn't matter if it will end up a close game as long as SMB wins.  Grin

Both are good teams, of course, we will see a great matchup. James Laput is currently guarding Fajardo, it's a big task for him because Fajardo is the best big man in the PBA now, so let's see how this game will end up, still a very close game.

Fajardo is still unstoppable inside although he is not back to his MVP form yet. I'm also watching this game live through facebook channel, and Laput has already been fouled out in the game. Less than 2 minutes left and SMB has a decent lead already, if it goes 11+ points, I would win my bet.

SMB wins, they are still undefeated now. I'm just wondering, what happened to Calvin Abueva in that game, he seemed lost, he is not making points and he also made lots of mistakes, especially a crucial play where he was called for an offensive foul, if that didn't happen and Magnolia shoot a 3 point, they could have tied the game.

Moala Tautuaa was the best player in the game, but JMF's contribution is still huge because he was protecting the paint and he is also aggressive inside. The game was very physical, Magnolia almost had a chance to win the game due to their good pressure defense in the 4th quarter but one mistake by Abueva cost them a game.

SMB is good but they are not as clutch as they were before, the old line up was deadly IMO, but let's accept the new line up.
Ross also missed the game and Terrence was still not available, so the offense are mostly coming from CJ Perez and Cruz from the outside.
1567  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Your NBA Champion this season? on: June 17, 2022, 01:58:58 PM
I looked at the OP's post, the odds of the Warriors that time was;

Quote
4- Warriors >8.50

Whoever won that kind of odds is a lucky better, congratulations to you, you also deserve to celebrate because you trusted the Warriors when they were not the favorite to win the championship.

I think OP has won it too, you can see on the thread he made, that he posted a betslip for the Warriors to win the championship.
https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5395393.msg59917438#msg59917438

Congrats @OP, big win, everyone here is happy for sure as Warriors ML in game 4 was good.
1568  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: NBA 2020-2021 betting on: June 17, 2022, 01:21:07 PM
I think Curry can break the number of championships Jordan has won.

If remains healthy, he can do that for sure. Curry is only 34 years old, there are plenty of seasons to be played and he just needs to win 3 straight seasons so he can break the record of MJ, and of course, win the finals MVP as well so it would solidify his legacy.

He already have a legacy. Chasing the MJ legacy is almost impossible for the current generation of NBA as there is no one kinda closed to MJ so yea , maybe the new generation will match him.

For now , we should be glad that we saw a Curry at 34 years old playing an amazing basketball and his IQ during the game is insane as you never know when he will shoot , pass or dribble but for him to break MJ record will be tough as I think this was the end of an era for GSW...time will speak tho.

I wouldn't make a conclusion this early, Curry and Jordan have a different style in Basketball, and Curry had also made history with his great 3-point shooting. Lebron is already 37 years old and still active, Curry can still play until 40 IMO as long as he takes care of his body.
1569  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin Hodlers are actively buying bitcoin these days on: June 17, 2022, 12:36:27 PM
The long-term holders will still buy bitcoins and put buy orders at different price levels to decrease their buying levels that's how they increase the profit they earn because they do not worry about the situation of the market in the bearish phase and they don't have a plan to sell bitcoins at this level, so buying bitcoins whenever the price is doing a downtrend movement and everyone is selling can be profitable for them in long term.
Apparently, it makes them decide to do this as a way of helping the market and also taking advantage of the situation. We can say, it is a sort of manipulation but guess what? We as small investors are making benefits from it as well. Holders are not afraid to take risks as they somehow believe that they won't fail but succeed. Keeping those spirits is I think we need to adapt and instead of thinking negative upon seeing the chart, we tend to divert it by looking at bear season as an opportunity.
1570  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: HODLing strong! on: June 17, 2022, 12:18:30 PM
The steel hands are still awake holding strong and filling more bags let the weak hands continue to pool in the party we wait for the xxxxxx days ahead when the Bitcoin bull surfaces.

Quite an amazing feeling!
perhaps, it was their choice and we can't urge people to do that in the way that they have their own decision.
I do holding for some reason,
 - in order not to lose my money
 - believing the fact that the market will soon recover and I get paid off

Yeah, weak hands often get easily panic and sell their coins while strong hands will choose to wait for the right time to sell, and have faith.

Think I'm gonna lay off this game.  Celts -4 is a tough line.  I might lay in on the under.  This game might end up being slow and methodical something like a 101-97 type of game.  Might lay off completely and just sit back and enjoy the game.  Will see.
Bro, you are near right the total score prediction. Congratulations.
This is the first time I am on a bad losing streak at over and under.  Grin If the game may have been a close one then it could be a high-scoring game as they ended an offensive battle in the 3rd quarter on outside shots.
Anyway, cheers to all the winners of the Warriors bet and I see there are a lot of us who chose them.

This is a bit sad.
Wiggins? Ouch! Two consecutive games with 10+ rebounds and now he is under 7.  Cry

At least we have won on the ML.

But yeah, my player props was a missed, just like yours, I have Wiggins over 6.5 and it was short of just 1 rebound, damn, it was close to 4.x odds. I think there was one instance that he supposedly get it unfortunately it slipped out of hands and went to Curry.

Seems many of us won and ride on the Warriors winning and closing out the series.

It's a happy day for the world of basketball sports betting, Warriors was probably the public play and they won with ease. One thing to remember when it comes to betting in the NBA, don't bet against Steph Curry as he will soon become the GOAT in the NBA. I think Curry can break the number of championships Jordan has won.

Congratulations to the winners, looks like we have a lot of winners here as for sure many of us here bet on the Warriors to win in game 6. ML and point spread winners, congrats guys. Also, those who won their championship bet that they took during the start of the playoffs, that's an insane odds for sure.
1574  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: NBA Finals 2022 - Warriors vs Celtics. on: June 16, 2022, 09:56:40 PM
It is going to be a critical night in NBA. Warriors are in the lead by 3-2 as you know and they are so close to ending this series earlier than I expected. My expectation was that we would see seven games until it ends. It can still happen though. Celtics will need to give everything they have got to this game. No matter how much solid Warriors play, Celtics still need to find a way to make it 3-3. We deserve to watch the seventh game and Celtics also deserve to carry their hopes to the final game.
They could really end this series tonight or if the Celtics will prolong it with one more game.

All the advantage now is with the Warriors but before it was with Celtics. This is a big mental game for the Celtics now and the Warriors putting that much all of their effort on this upcoming game will surely give them this final.

And just as the typical thing whenever they're in the finals, they'll win.

Not all the time, they lose against the Cavaliers before on their home court, so we cannot guarantee that they will win the finals although they have the advantage here. I just find this game enjoyable to watch, but I would not be too confident that the Warriors will easily win.
1575  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Canelo vs Golovkin 3 (September 17) on: June 16, 2022, 09:32:11 PM

Names like David Benavidez, one of the Charlo twins or even Arthur Beterviev's name has been popping up as potential fight for Canelo in the future.

Of course, this boxers are also going to look for more money in the shortest possible time. They know that they can't box  and they have this prime years. After that it's all downhill for them. So they hav to take advantage and squeeze as much money as they can for them and for their future (wife, kids, business etc).

Canelo has to win this fight first before he will entertain a challenger because if he loses again, that will decrease his value in the market and I don't know if he can still get big fights, maybe GGG will shine and will have big fights than Canelo. So with that said, Canelo has to win this fight because he is still in his prime years while GGG is already in his retirement age.
1576  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2022 NBA Season - Finals on: June 16, 2022, 09:13:15 PM
Size difference. That's correct, they have the edge on that, and using Horford more in post-up situations may be one of their key factors to win.
Also, I'd like to see more alley-oop for Robert Williams as we can see how high he can go and no one can definitely reach it. That's a sure deuce for them given a good pick and roll will happen.
I am excited once again, just a few more hours and we will be watching the possible ending of this season or 1 more game in San Francisco.

Look at Horford's stats, he impressed everyone by scoring 26 points in the first game, but then he only scored a combined 30 points over the next 4 games. I have no doubt he can still dominate the paint and be helpful to the team, but the Celtics obviously shouldn't rely on him in the deciding game. As for Robert Williams, his status is questionable, and he might miss the game because of left knee soreness.

Yeah, and maybe as other said in social media, Horford got lucky in game 1 and steal that game for the Warriors. Now they are on the other side as they have to win this game. Robert Williams can take advantage and used his athleticism, but if he is not 100% healthy, then he has his limits. Brown and Smart need to produce big numbers just like in game 3. So we are all excited as we will see if the series is going to be stretch on another game 7 decided or the Warriors winning the Finals and end a great season.

I have a dream that the Celtics won game 6 by dominating the Warriors beating them by 30+ points. Maybe I'm just too excited to see a game 7 but they said dreams are the opposite of the reality, hahaha.. so I don't know, I will just enjoy the game and see if Celtics could really  bounce back.
1577  Economy / Speculation / Re: $13,000 is quite possible this week on: June 16, 2022, 02:01:34 PM
It is difficult if Bitcoin continues Red, I hope the market does not repeat the bad period that occurred in 2014 when the price of 2013 reached $ 1100 and then dropped below $ 150 in a short time, then the next bad trend occurred in 2018, many always connect with The trend of 4 years and until now is a fact.
Well, I strongly believe that it never happen again. In fact, if we base on their previous bottom price during the bear season, it is gradually increasing. Such an indication that despite the possible corrections, the market crash, or may the history repeat itself but never I think the price and in every 4years cycle will be the same. I would say that the price of Bitcoin won't drop below $20k. I may be wrong but that is my assumptions seeing the mindset of the people had changed after the last 2018-2020 bear season.
1578  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2022 NBA Season - Finals on: June 15, 2022, 01:47:39 PM
Would I like to see Wiggins win a Finals MVP award?  Hell yes.  Does he deserve it over Steph?  No.
And I truly agree with that. I took the bet before the start of the Finals, it's also because of the fact that betting for Curry was not profitable at that time, (I think even now). So choosing another player that may have a chance next to him is Wiggins with x29.90. It's all about the money first.  Grin
I can actually pull out my bet and claim a 1.2 profit but I think I will let it stay and see it through until the end of the series.
He had been consistent so I am having high hopes he can get it. They should win the game first.
I think it depends on the outcome of the succeeding games.

here's the scenario, if this series will reach 7 games and Wiggins will be the top scorer in the next 2 games, I think Wiggins will get the reward. however, there's always a risk because Curry will not likely have a bad 3 straight games.
1579  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: High odds or low odds, which do you prefer? on: June 15, 2022, 01:22:55 PM
I would choose the higher odds which is 1.50, but in real life, I don't usually bet on odds lower than 1.80 because I feel like I'm not getting the value of my winning. Just imagine, if I would always get the odds of like 1.80, that means I will give 20% of my winning to the bookies which I would never benefit in the long run. Also, bear in mind that 1.80 odds does not give you more than 50% chance of winning.
1580  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: If you are given this opportunity to choose which one will it be on: June 15, 2022, 12:27:55 PM
Seeing Avalanche lose 80+% of its value compare to its all time high looks like a very tempting buying opportunity to me, if you are given the chance to only pick a wallet with 5000 pieces of Cardano or Avalanche which one will you go for and why?.
They are of the closest comparison and similar market status...but for me, I'd choose Avax this time. Though Cardano has existed for a quite long time in the market, however, my trust is in favor of Avalanche.
Honestly, in investing we don't just talk about market performance but also we consider what we feel. I know both of them to have the potential and no regrets about choosing any of them. But as I've said, choose the project that you think was good.
