1281  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: only 7% of supply is halving on: August 17, 2023, 07:06:46 AM
So expect a 50% increase max on 7% over 120 years.
If there's one thing that I've learned about this market through Bitcoin, is its volatility and unpredictability. You're the one who's expecting that percentage of gain and not us. Whatever the metric you've used into ending with that percentage, it means that you've got some basis for it.
And with lesser supply during the halving, that also means that there's going to be more scarcity for Bitcoin. While we're counting on the cycle on how it looked like before, that's what I am looking forward to see.
1282  Economy / Gambling / Re: 0xBET | Crypto Casino 🎲 Sportsbook ⚽ Fast Payouts ✅ on: August 16, 2023, 10:08:18 PM
At first glance, reading the name made me think that it was okbet but no. I'm starting to see casinos using the number zero in replacement of the letter O which is intriguing and also attractive at the same time.

[1]: You must be at least 18 years old or reach the age of majority under your jurisdiction. You must be permitted to play online games by the laws applicable to you. 🔞
I'm curious how you will handle it when a teen under 18 successful gone through without going to KYC on your platform. Not just on you guys but also with other casinos. Anyway, welcome to the forum 0xbet!
1283  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Passive income with crypto on: August 16, 2023, 08:59:01 PM
The only passive income that I know you can do with altcoins is through staking, farming, trading or copy trading, if you are going to do staking, the best platform I can recommend to you is the Binance platform, if on Dex you want to stake is biswap for me he is okay.
I think most people do prefer to stake on platforms like Binance. Because they're easy and popular but, the cons there is that you don't hold your fund. By that means, is that there's no private key that you're holding for your funds unlike those that are in the DEX.

Farming biswap is also okay for me, and as for copy trading, I recommend Fairdesk and Bitget, they are quite legit and their features are good too. But this is just my suggestion. It is still Do it at your own risk anyway.
As long as you're earning passively on the platforms you prefer, they're really good. Speaking of this copy trading, I've known this but with those exchanges you've mentioned, is it like that they're the one doing the trade for you and you just leave it there? or you still need to manually control your copy trades?
1284  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Gambling discussion effect on: August 16, 2023, 07:44:35 PM
It's basically because you're encouraged by those experiences that you've shared. I've gambled even before joining the forum and gambling discussions and that's not really a lot to think of. And it's easy for you to convey into discussions if you're actually gambling or had done it before.

What’s the effect of gambling discussion here to you? I’m thinking to quit participating on signature campaign that involves gambling discussion in an event that my gambling activities is increasing above my normal habit.
Just watch yourself out and you don't have to be addicted on it. Just be careful, really, when you're seeing that urge but just as what people are saying on this matter. To each their own.
1285  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: SBF's brother wanted to buy Pacific island nation of Nauru for apocalypse bunker on: August 16, 2023, 06:38:32 PM
There's so much on him that he probably has let it for sure to his family to get much of it before the exposure that he and his team had for the FTX fiasco.

If FTX (or sam) indeed managed to buy this island before it came cashing down, how much of different situation they would be facing right now?
This is possibly being taken by the government proven by his involvement to what's with FTX before. And this will anger more a lot of people that it could have been their money used on this one which is likely.
1286  Economy / Gambling / Re: Duelbits.com | Casino & Sportsbook | VIP | Instant withdrawals!|ARGENTINA & AVFC on: August 15, 2023, 03:28:20 PM
Where do you read this? Duelbits allowed the use of VPN but not playing from restricted country. There’s many usecase of VPN and one of them is for privacy for purposes that’s why many user use it even if they don’t live on restricted country to access the casino. This is the case which Duelbits allowed the use of VPN.

But for those whose using VPN to bypass country restrictions will surely be penalized when caught by Duelbits team since this rules is clearly stated on the ToS. Allowing such players will put Duelbits license in jeopardy because they have legal obligations to restrict thise players.
IIRC, it was also on this thread and it was the rep that said that. That could have been the case and if my memory serves me right, that was what I can remember all about the usage of VPN but about a person that comes from a restricted area and try to use one, I can't remember but I guess you're right.

They have different categories for restricted regions which you can find here but if you will ask them they will say not to use it but the main concern I was having was Gamblers from restricted region who use to bypass it when it's illegal in their country whether their intentions are good or bad the casino will have to comply with the rules.
Thanks for that clarification as I barely remember when I try to think of it. And for that gambler that's located in restricted country, much better not to proceed.

1287  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Is Whitepaper just Buzz Word in Alt and Meme coins? on: August 15, 2023, 01:28:47 PM
Hi Friends,

I often come across Alt Coins and even meme coins showing white paper. IMO, they are absolutely ruining the meaning of Whitepaper, aren't they?

Some of them use it for showing Toeknomics, some of them show their Utilities & Use cases, some show Roadmap and Planning, and some show just Memes in the paper.

There are many Crypot New Enthusiasts who just jump into the Project as and when they see Website and Whitepaper link. Hardly check what is even inside!

Just wondering what is your take on it!
It truly because a show for most of those projects that are showing road maps, white papers, partnerships and anything that will entice the investors. That's why do not be surprised when there have been a lot of impressions regards to the white paper but eventually, you'll find it out that it's just been copied from another project. These days, it's not just enough to look at those things but also on the developers for you to know if they're credible or not or don't any background to be checked.
1288  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 🕹️ Esports 🎮 Prediction & Discussion Thread on: August 15, 2023, 11:02:02 AM
One slot and all of the SEA teams are really hard to beat each other, at least for that region only. It's like a total clash for the entire region fighting for their survival just to get that one TI slot. I think if it's two or three slots, there's a bigger chance.

Yeah it will be very hard to get qualified since they are 14 teams fighting for a single slot. But I think the battle will just be between the favorites like Execration, Bleed, Boom, SMG and maybe Blacklist.
IMO, Execration is out of the list although they've made a lot of good start for this season and they fell a few points for the securing of DPC points. But looking major after major, they're always lackluster. Bleed is good but the majority of them are always unpredictable and inconsistent.

That's also true for the other regions with only one slot for TI and it's why we're starting to see one or two teams pull out from the qualifiers.
Lucky are the ones like the South America for having two slots but they deserve it.

Two weeks remain and the action against goes back. Too many matches that we need to tune in, I am sure that there will be new favorite heroes that will be picked.
Watching a maximum of 8 series per day might be too much. I'll only watch the ones i'm betting on and then browse the replays or highlights if there's an intense series i've missed.  Cheesy
Haha, not a requirement though. I'll also watch some of the games that I'll be on and also those games that I won't bet but I am interested to see.
1289  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Can we have a newbie Bitcoin wallet? on: August 15, 2023, 09:32:27 AM
There really is no distinguishment whether a wallet should be for newbies or for experienced. But if talking about the experience, many of the people that I've seen that are new to this are mostly using centralized and mobile wallets. They all have the same reason and that's all about the user experience and easy to use. So since a lot of threads and links have been given to you. You can start with those links and get an idea on what is a user friendly wallet or what you think is good and easier to use and then from there, jot down the differences of those ones and to the ones that are being used by the majority like Electrum.
1290  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: How much should I invest in cryptocurrency as a beginner on: August 14, 2023, 03:51:01 PM
Other thinks that it's okay to have a debt while they're invested. They don't realize that they're just getting something from their investments which they're also going to pay to their debts.

There are times that debt/loan is good when you put it on an investment because you will have access on extra capital that will give you more profit. This is only advisable if the potential income is greater than the interest rate to cover the debt and eaen at the same time.
A good debt is when you've got a stable business and you're going to do it for expansion or when you've got a plan to increase your production. But with an investment, which is like floating and you have no idea if it's going to be good or bad, that's a bad debt.

On crypto investments, debts is indeed crucial and subjective due to the volatility of the market. It’s a high risk high reward since you can pay your debt and get huge profit if you invest on the right time and right coin such as Bitcoin.

A one time bull run can give you sufficient profit to cover interests rate and even the loan amount itself.
That's right, it is not advisable to get into investments in crypto using loans. How many have we seen those people that have done the same thing, most of them regret it and if there were successful ones, they're just few.

I don't think that Noone's move to SMG will be successful but since it is for this qualifier, good luck.
I agree this might not end well because of the possible communication issue between the players.

The matchups for the TI regional qualifiers are ready to go. The bookies already have the pre-live odds and one of the interesting matchups I saw was OG vs Team Secret.  Shocked

1292  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: A weird belief among some gamblers. on: August 14, 2023, 09:09:34 AM
People are indeed crazy no doubt, I mean they can do and believe all sort of nasty stuffs just to feel the urgency of satisfaction.
No doubt, everything they need to have they will believe even if it sounds and looks crazy.

I have said it before that some gambler even go as far as wishing their bet to be loss thinking it would turn out the opposite of their wish although when you come to look at the overall gambling experience from different people you will then know that most of these gamblers have been really frustrated to actually start thinking all this weird stuffs .
Yeah, I was like that before too if I am thinking and wishing to win then the opposite happens. So, what if I wish to think the opposite of winning which is losing and from there maybe I'll start to win but regardless of what I choose at the end losing is inevitable and I just have to control myself whenever I have got enough wins already.
1293  Economy / Gambling / Re: Duelbits.com | Casino & Sportsbook | VIP | Instant withdrawals!|ARGENTINA & AVFC on: August 14, 2023, 06:44:07 AM
If they found you are coming from a restricted region then they will suspend your account immediately no matter how much funds you have in it but for high gamblers its not gonna work because you have to submit KYC also so VPN won't help. But if you are just bumping your IP then it's not a much problem.
Depends on the casino where you are but with Duelbits, I've read before that it's totally fine as long as you don't have any other actual violations that you've done. And for someone who's seriously gambling and you've got the intention to use VPN, it's best to ask first if it's allowed or not.
So, whenever you win big or hit on a something, you're not going to have any problems and you'll have the idea of what you're doing is allowed and fine.
1294  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Greed can cause a lost bet, (true or false) on: August 13, 2023, 11:21:41 PM
That's true, if your sole purpose to gamble is to pay all of your debts. You are unlikely going to succeed. Most gamblers are aware that when you do that, you're definitely doing the wrong thing. And instead of doing gambling, you should do some other things when your aiming to pay your debts.
Gambling problems and gambling addictions often lead to deep debt is never good for anyone, gambling is a bigger risk, so it is best for every gambler to avoid debt. Taking out an additional personal loan can make sense in certain situations, but it can have a negative impact on you. Therefore, paying the loan and gambling according to one's ability will reduce the problem even if you lose. Get a second job to pay off debt depending on the primary source of income by working a few extra hours per week, paying off debt is a good decision if you can come up with more money.
Truly not good when someone is experiencing those because that's going to make you in deep debt and we don't want to be in that situation. Reality ticks in, there are gamblers that are experiencing those problems because they are not aware that it can happen to them. They've ignored the possibility because of how fun it is to gamble. There are many solutions just as what you've mentioned but we don't know how many of them have already compromised their jobs and can't even get to pay their debts that have been accumulated through gambling.
1295  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2023 NBA Season on: August 13, 2023, 10:23:44 PM
Here we go again with this guy and not so long ago we saw him when he wanted to leave the team he would do some funny thing for them to finally consider how to trade him as quickly as possible. remember when leaves his body to consume more than he needs and gains a huge amount of weight which makes him fat. The Houston Rockets became so frustrated and quickly released him because they thought there would be no chance for him to contribute good things to the team and suddenly after that, he retained his old self again. Now that he's doing his same old trick again the 76ers don't care about it anymore.
There should be some penalties on having this attitude, right? I thought that there's already a rule that a player shouldn't say such as transfers vulgarly against his current team. He has gained weight and there's a reason why he did that but having this attitude when the team wants him to be present on the training camp should still make him act professionally. It is not gonna be a surprise if there will be sanctions that will be placed on him regards to his contract if he's not attending practices if should be.
1296  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: How much should I invest in cryptocurrency as a beginner on: August 13, 2023, 04:31:55 PM
3. Evaluate your financial situation: Evaluate your current financial situation, including your income, expenses, debts, and savings. Determine how much you can invest without affecting your other financial obligations.
This is where we're telling that people should only invest what they afford to lose. Because when someone's too hype, they're forgetting things like those savings that they've got that are allocated for other things and the debts that they have to pay first before investing.
Other thinks that it's okay to have a debt while they're invested. They don't realize that they're just getting something from their investments which they're also going to pay to their debts.
1297  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 🕹️ Esports 🎮 Prediction & Discussion Thread on: August 12, 2023, 11:04:02 PM
I wonder who will be taking Old G's slot now because it seems the team is about to be abandoned after OG announced Kitrak as their position 5 support.
Ceb moved to OG and that's surely going to be abandoned while Taiga is moved and loaned going to the NA.

The Noone move by SMG was announced as well and the other notable roster change is Quest Esports taking in Tobi as their new offlaner. This decreases Quest's chances of qualifying for TI, as I think Tobi is a downgrade to Ammar but he's still good enough to fill the role.
I don't think that Noone's move to SMG will be successful but since it is for this qualifier, good luck. ATF surely is the better option for the Quest but they didn't agree to the terms, I mean ATF knows that he's the better guy and he's probably lowballed and that's why he didn't proceed with the contract that's given to them. I thought that they're going to be the darkhorse but that's it, still good luck to them.
1298  Economy / Economics / Re: What's the effect of having plenty children to the national economy of a country on: August 12, 2023, 12:58:08 PM
But at the moment, what is the viability of having many children especially as it could reduce the per capital income.
We've got a population problem and that's why you see left and right conspiracy theorists telling about depopulation. But honestly, I just see nothing on it as it's the typical thing of having more labor force and military force to a government. And the problem keeps on going on, teenage pregnancy, birth rates keep on increasing which is no good at the beginning when the bearer isn't prepared for this to happen. That's why if a person can't afford to have a baby, better not do it.
1299  Other / Off-topic / Re: Never to this things on: August 12, 2023, 06:48:09 AM
Don't forget about downloading stuff online. Most of the people that were playing innocently that they've been hacked and don't know how it happened is that they've probably downloaded an app or file that contained malware. And from there, everything went easy to the intruder thus not knowing by the user what's happening with their PC. So, never download from pirated websites and unknown sources because that's where mostly those things are from, in general, be careful in downloading files online.
1300  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Greed can cause a lost bet, (true or false) on: August 12, 2023, 04:48:15 AM
But, the reality is that if you try to gamble your way out of debt, then you are going to be in a lot more trouble. That type of greed is a lot worse, because if you win a lot and then lose that's at least understandable, but if you gamble and lose and then gamble again, that's trouble.
That's true, if your sole purpose to gamble is to pay all of your debts. You are unlikely going to succeed. Most gamblers are aware that when you do that, you're definitely doing the wrong thing. And instead of doing gambling, you should do some other things when your aiming to pay your debts.

I completely agree with the point about chasing losses - it's one of the most common pitfalls for novice gamblers.

Take my early gambling days as an example. I made the classic rookie mistake of chasing losses when I was just starting out. There's this distinct memory I have of losing a certain amount of money on an online casino, which, in retrospect, wasn't even all that significant. However, instead of being sensible and cutting my losses, I convinced myself that all I needed was a one more round to recover. So, I continued throwing more funds into the game, desperately hoping for that elusive big win. Regrettably, things didn't unfold as I had wished, and I ended up losing far more than I had initially been prepared to part with. The experience served as a tough but valuable lesson, one that remains etched in my memory.
That's how it starts when we're telling ourselves that just one more and we're all good. Not until that one more bet and we're losing and that's where it goes. We can't control ourselves when we're on that moment when we're already so close of stopping and withdrawing our profits but then, when we're too curious and thinks that just one more will suffice us. That's when the trouble starts that we can't take it anymore until everything is gone to us.
