Another sad day for Kuro and the team. They've won 1 game but that's not enough. I think they have to plan well the next TI, TI13. And from there, they need to get prepared for the minors and majors that will have DPC points and they should qualify from there. That is because if they're going to go through the qualifiers, this is the tough way unlike through the DPC points, they've got all year round to acquire not unless Valve changes this system.

They have been in the decline for the past few years. They are trying hard but the competition in WEU is really hard so earning DPC points is tough. I do think their roster is not already enough for them to qualify for TI. Kuroky is not the same Kuroky that championed in TI before. His mechanical skills cannot compete with the young players anymore. He is still very strong in strategy so maybe he could retire and just be a coach. He should let the younger players take his spot in the team.
Yeah, it's tough but I think it is the better path and road if they ever want to be in TI next year. Because going through this qualifier is tough and hell. A few slots for each region unlike before that there's the wild card but basically, this is it and just reinvented the process.
I agree that it's no longer a prime Kuro. Just look at Notail and Jerax, they know that they're not on their prime anymore which Jerax became a coach for Team Liquid but I don't know where he is right now. While notail, he's just good as like in the management of OG. Ceb is still playing though but not also on his prime anymore. Kuro needs to transition and just be a scout for new talents and become a coach.
1242  Economy / Economics / Re: Good and Bad at the same time - Mega entities hold $ 14 billions in Bitcoin on: August 29, 2023, 09:48:00 AM
Anyone complaining that these mega-entities have too much bitcoin should also complain about the price. And I don't mean complaining because it is now low for our expectations, but because without these entities the price would be much lower. Apart from entities like MicroStrategy that buy bitcoin to hold it by reducing the supply, the likes of Binance provide a liquidity and ease of exchange that without them the price would probably be below $1,000. Apart from the fact that I don't know how the price could be reliably calculated if the exchanges were basically P2P.
That's the hard reality without them the market wouldn't grow vastly. We have to embrace this reality that's happening that no matter how decentralized is the goal of Bitcoin, we can't stop these entities from holding large amounts because they're able to. Thus, this is for everybody, and them is part of everybody. If we're just able to invest billions like them, why not let this market alone circulate into individuals without them being part of it. But, that's not how it goes and whether we like it or not, these big corporations are always gonna be part of the revolution and innovation of the crypto market.

Noticed the qualifiers for TI happening earlier today with Team Secret up against OG. It was a fairly short match ending in a 2:0 result for Team Secret as @passwordnow has mentioned above.
Today, SEA and WEU matches are all for the lower bracket. However, with SEA, they're done for today and some teams were already eliminated from their TI dream in this qualifier. And currently, Nigma is just 1 loss away to be out of this qualifier against Alliance. As [A] has taken the first game. And after this match, it's going to be OG and Ancient Tribe.

SEA games are done early because they are ahead in the time zone. The game normally starts very early so most of us, especially those in EST time zone, will not be able to watch them.
Yeah, SEA is done for this day and WEU is on its last match. And by tomorrow, it's going to be the upper bracket for SEA and WEU.

Nigma Galaxy has just been eliminated by Alliance. They were able to force a 3rd map but at the end they were crushed by Alliance. In is sad that Kuroky will not be able to play in TI this year. If I am not mistaken, he was not able to play last year as well. I think Kuroky should start thinking of retiring. He is not helping his team anymore, and maybe, he is holding them down.

Plenty more matches to come before October.
Aside from this TI qualifier, there's BetBoom Dacha and DreamLeague Season 21.
1245  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: After all these years on: August 28, 2023, 10:42:51 AM
After all these years Bitcoin still remains an investment rather than a daily payment system
Didn't it remain as a payment system? It always has does.

will there ever come a day where Bitcoin will be use generally as a paying system instead of what we are seeing right now?
How about you getting paid for your campaign? That's one perfect example of it.

XRP for example and few others are partnering with banks for international transactions, if seems that these projects are 100 times closer to been a daily payment system than Bitcoin and this saddens me.
Whilst for Bitcoin, there's no need for any partnership or integration. It is already a payment system but with its use, that has made it another use of it which is an investment. The use of it as a payment system for P2P has never been gone.

I am feeling like the majority of people are still going to prefer to spend more money on transaction fee through payment solutions that involves banks, locally and internationally, I seems like Bitcoin transaction are going to keep happening around Bitcoin OGs and those who are into Bitcoin only.
It is because not all of the people in the world like Bitcoin. Even if it's accepted in almost every country, there will still be haters and bashers of it that prefer the traditional system and even us, we can't skip yet the usage of it.

Do you think that Bitcoin been decentralised will draw it back from becoming something like what XRP and Chain Link are achieving right now?
What's the achievement of XRP and Chain Link? Comparing it to Bitcoin is like comparing oranges and apples.

Should we just for once shut up about Bitcoin becoming a well acknowledged payment solution and focus on it becoming only asset?
No. Maybe it's just a few of you guys that are thinking like that. Bitcoin has never gone its purpose for being a payment solution and so if it's also a store of value, those altcoins you've mentioned are also playing the same thing.
1246  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: What does it take to play casino? on: August 27, 2023, 10:24:40 PM
It must have capital Cry

However, which one should you be more dependent on when it comes to making money from the casino!

Is it really good luck for you?
Which basic technique to use?
Just the typical thing that we're using in sports betting and that's about how we're going to analyze the upcoming games and what are the news that lies with those.
There's no magic or any special strategies for one to make money but it's better if you set aside that particular reason and do gamble as much as you're just having fun.
When you think like that, it won't give you any pressure when you gamble and play the games that you prefer. Because that's what you'll also hear from most of the people here.

SEA and WEU qualifiers have started. I've watched the match between Team Secret and OG, 2-0, and well done for Team Secret. As they advance to the next round and bracket, they're going to meet Entity as their next opponent. The good thing about this region is that they're going to have two qualified teams for the upper and lower brackets. A lot of desirable teams are on this but only two of them are going to get qualified. While for the SEA, too tough because only one team will qualify.

A project that can't even afford to avail a website/domain? Hmmm... That sounds doesn't really good but honestly, from the very start of what you're trying to explain. It really doesn't sound well at all.

They are a sincere and dedicated team building this token for the long term , which explains why it take some time for the launch. Slow and steady makes us all millionaires , don't miss it !
Very encouraging words.  Grin
If it's easy to make people millions then we'd all be rich by getting into this project. Come on, get some taste of what's the reality. This is the kind of projects that everyone must be careful of because you're likely to suck everyone's money.
1249  Economy / Economics / Re: Blackrock invest in ukraine on: August 26, 2023, 09:56:34 PM
This could be an opportunity to those investors who wants to support the recovery of Ukraine and make profit at the same time. Let’s just hope that this is the beginning and the war will soon be over because many lives already lose and a lot of people are suffering from this war.
I'm wishing that the war will have to end as soon as possible. Because the casualties are that much and it's about the people that are being frightened by this war. While the capitalists are earning and taking advantage of this situation which has always been the sad truth.

This is where they said that there’s money in wars and that is during the recovery period.
It's true, during and after the war. I've heard that Ukraine is now looking to hire a lot of people but not to fight but to rebuild their nation's destroyed infrastructures.
1250  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2023 NBA Season on: August 26, 2023, 11:09:30 AM
New York Times is reporting a quote from Giannis Antetokounmpo where he alludes to signing with a new team for the first time ever. Definitely trouble for the Bucks. He’s going to play for them this year, but to me it sounds like he’s preparing them for a departure after the season. If he goes to the Warriors and pairs with Curry, it will be the greatest team ever built.
Like whutt? This is surprising if the report of the New York Times is accurate at all. Giannis is like the face and mascot of the Bucks and if they're going to let this happen, aside from Warriors. Are there teams where he's rumored to transfer? I'm sure that most times are going to be quick in acquiring him but this isn't going to be easy as the contract that they have to offer should be convincing and also is still in their budget before they get to the cap.

Certainly, CP3 cannot waste this opportunity to win a championship, as his performance here could significantly impact his future prospects. If he doesn't perform well, he might face challenges in finding a team willing to sign him, especially considering he will become an unrestricted free agent in 2025. The team (Warriors) traded a young and promising player for an older and experienced player; it remains to be seen whether this trade will yield positive results.
I've just seen a video of him and their Team USA squad together with Kobe, I think that was Olympics 2008 and this is all that he needed to have, an NBA ring.
1251  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: 2023 best bitcoin site? on: August 26, 2023, 09:39:21 AM
Each website has its own use and everyone is surely going to agree that the forum as the best forum and discussion website related to Bitcoin.

But from my point of view, the Bitcoin website that most impressed me without doubts is Secret Scan. They have a calculator where you can get the value on each step of address encryption from Hex keys to uncompressed addresses, and some other tools. (https://secretscan.org/PrivateKeyHex), A tool like this is not secure with sensitive data, but is awesome for educational proposes and understanding the Bitcoin addresses step by step. For me as a developer is awesome to see tools like this.
I don't know this website but with its use and you being a dev, it's certainly one of the best as your preference. And other devs might agree to that if they're using this tool. And if we're going to expand this discussion into different types of use of websites, we've got our preferences coming from exchanges, mixers, casinos, technical websites, etc.

The EEU region TI12 qualifier is about to end within the next several hours. We're now at the semi-finals of it at the lower bracket, 1-1 is standing for NaVi and One Move. Whoever wins this series is going to advance from the waiting team in the finals which is the Virtus Pro.
After this final qualification for the EEU, tomorrow, we're going to see the start of the WEU and SEA region. Wooh, this is exciting and we're going to the last week of this TI12's qualification period.

I mean being punctual is always going to benefit you, whether it's on your real-world job. And the same goes for investing, mainly in Bitcoin, that's giving you an idea of how many of the people who have been early here became happy. While there are foreseeable incidents for the newbies upon investing in Bitcoin, that's fine for them to experience how it looks like for them to invest. Because from that, they're going to grow and the same for trading but anyway, just give up trading as many are only losing there.
1254  Economy / Economics / Re: Having a problem a Personal Finance? on: August 25, 2023, 09:48:43 PM
Practicing what you're thinking to do and the advice you get is the best thing to do so that you'll become better at handling your personal finance. I see high earning people but don't know how to manage their finances and they got almost nothing left even if they're earning a lot.
The lesson there is it's not about how much you earn but how much you save. And the next thing is to manage the savings that you're able to make and put it into assets that could earn you passively or appreciate over the period of time.
1255  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: FIBA Basketball World Cup 2023 - Betting and Discussions on: August 25, 2023, 08:45:48 PM
While on the other match, Canada and France was a surprising game. The crowd favorite France lost to Canada.
95-65!
That's a lot of lead for Canada and I am one of those folks who have been thinking that France will be the desired team on this FIBA world cup. But it seems that this WC is full of surprises everywhere and for every team that we're thinking that's going to do well.
That is a blown out game, but with France as the opponent it was that shocking because their roster has only one non-NBA player (past and present) though it shouldn't be a basis that they'll dominate.
I cannot imagine what if there's Murray on that roster then probably there's a rain of threes there. They're a crowd favorite and there's a basis for it but yeah, it shouldn't be just because many are favoring them as a team. But this FIBA world cup is giving the excitement vibes because it's more of a showdown and pride war than of the actual tournament itself.

Canada win by 30 points - probably nobody didn't saw this coming. I made mistake by understimating Canada, seems that this year they really have team which can achieve something and this win is serious statement.
Same thing, that's why I was surprised that Canada has won and thought that they won't have a huge lead against France. But it is what it is.

1257  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2023 NBA Season on: August 24, 2023, 10:42:25 PM
~snip~
He truly is a destructive power in the center which makes him even more dangerous, and he can be a menace at times too. It's just unfortunate that he cannot play that much in the league in the past few seasons that he's been in because of the injuries that he acquired that seems not going away from him. And to make things worse, he keeps on getting a season threatening injury when the season is approaching its end, meaning the team badly needs him during those times but he cannot do anything but to see in the sidelines cheering for his team.
Yeah, it's his injuries that stops him from keeping on. That's why when he was healthy and said to be back in the ball game, many have become excited to see him back again in action. I guess it's embodied to him but hopefully, he'll make some things to work so that he can prolong every season that he's going to play and his team will come out of something that will help him able to get on his shape and maintain that for the rest of the season. But if he becomes injured again and won't be able to play, that will not be anything surprising anymore.
1258  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Ledger, safe or not? on: August 24, 2023, 09:42:14 PM
This is right, if you own the old Ledger Nano S version, it's not part of that recovery feature. As for the choice, I guess that on these times the favor goes to Trezor.

I have the same version so I would prefer this kind of model than those that supports recovery feature. But to be honest, I really do not like the decision of Ledger to include the recovery feature for the updated versions.

It clearly not defining them anymore as a true cold hardware wallet. I don’t have any plans to buy future versions of Ledger Nano like the X or so because of the controversial recovery feature.
The old version still works perfectly and good thing that it isn't supported by the recovery feature. But for those that are thinking that they should buy a new hardware wallet, you're free to do it as that feature they've added really sucks and is against the community's liking.
Before this feature came out, I had plans to buy the X version because of its feature that allows you to view your portfolio on mobile, I haven't tried yet with S version. But when they've released the recovery part, that's where I have removed that plan.
1259  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2023 NBA Season on: August 24, 2023, 10:44:04 AM
^ I have my doubts that Zion will ever be able to play a full 82 game season. He’s just too big to be a professional basketball player. The speed and strength of this guy almost ensures an injury. Healthy, he’s the most dominant player the NBA has seen since Shaq, and more athletic than a young LeBron.
Well, we might truly see a repetition of what has happened to him for several seasons having an injury. But boy, I've seen the recent photos of him and he's got more buff. I guess it's time for him to invest in how to maintain his body but not compromise his performance just as Lebron takes care of his body.

If they did figure out how to keep him healthy for the rest of his career, he would no doubt be one of the best to ever do it.
This is without any doubt. We do recognize how good and full package he is.
1260  Economy / Gambling / Re: Duelbits.com | Casino & Sportsbook | VIP | Instant withdrawals!|ARGENTINA & AVFC on: August 23, 2023, 11:40:53 PM
Wow, I didn't know that you're able to wager that much. While it's true that there could be other forum members that are in VIP and wouldn't tell anyone about that. Anyway, I hope that you come back again whether there will be a big event or none.

Not to be surprised, other users could do it in 24 hours while I did it in a year or more so that's normal. Man, I don't have the budget to play in multiple casinos so for now I'm prioritizing the casino in my signature unless a casino catches my eye maybe I'll consider it  Grin  Currently there are more casinos on this forum meaning that the competition is very fierce so casinos must offer something to keep its players otherwise, they will move from one casino to another until they find one they are comfortable with.
It's true that there are gamblers who have been moving from one to another if they have found something better. And that's why keeping them is a duty that they do everyday like running promotions that are interesting. Still, who knows if you'll be back soon and duelbits would definitely be happy to have you back.  Smiley

That's why the free VPNs are free because you are the product. Unlike the ones that are paid, you really are paying for the service.
When you are using the free one you are just having some kind of assumptions that your IP is bumping but in reality it's just a waste of time and I think we are dragging this too much and we should focus more on duelbits 3.0 new designs and more promotions from them.
Right, when's the time table for 3.0's? I hope to see it soon.
