1501  Other / Meta / Re: Default Trust Visualisation [Picture Heavy] on: June 03, 2015, 12:31:49 AM
Added the entire trust network version to the OP.

Notes:
  • Full images are 40-50MB, click at your peril! These may or may not load depending on your browser. I recommend you right click and "save link as" to download.
  • This trust network is constructed from all trust ratings rather than filtered down from DefaultTrust. This corresponds to ~Depth 11.
  • Approximately 1600 users (could be a sender or recipient) and 400 trusts are excluded because they can't be linked back to the rest of the network by any route. They would appear as unconnected nodes, or nodes joined to other free floating nodes.
  • Arrows representing users trusting DefaultTrust are removed, as they come from 99% of users and fills the entire network with lines.
  • No negative ratings are taken into account as they are impossible to represent in this type of diagram. So users appearing in Depth 3 may actually be excluded.
  • Node sizes are based on how many people trust them. It does not filter or weight ANY ratings, nor take into account if the rater is in DefaultTrust. Consider it entirely a popularity contest and not greatly useful.
  • DefaultTrust is manually set as the largest node.
  • If you can't find yourself, I can give you directions to your location. I'll need to know which graph you want though.
  • Node colors correspond roughly to different trust levels according to the following scale. Depths 4-11 are on a spectrum scale.

Depth 0 = pink (Only the DefaultTrust account)
    Depth 1 = purple
    Depth 2 = dark blue
    Depth 3 = light blue
    Depth 4 = green
    Depth 5 = ~
    Depth 6 = ~
    Depth 7 = ~ yellow
    Depth 8 = ~ yellow
    Depth 9 = ~
    Depth 10 = ~
    Depth 11 = red

If you want this to be updated in the future, you'll have to poke Theymos to provide a fresh dump, I can only manually do up to depth 4.

Ah, on the end. Plumbers putty or similar + duct tape should seal that quite easily.
1503  Other / Meta / [Chrome/Android] Can we get a fix for unhiding ignored users' posts? on: June 02, 2015, 04:46:29 PM
Unhiding posts on chrome (and subsequently android) aren't shown posts correctly when unhiding an ignored users' post. The height of the post remains at 2 lines and so isn't readable. The only solution is to uningore and reignore the user to read that post.

Here is an example post of an ignored user (just to demonstrate) where the post has been 'expanded". Using desktop Chrome.

This is the entirity of the post, and as you can see the vast majority of the post is inappropriately hidden.

Are you talking about the black rubber bridge hose between the two waterblocks?

If so you can replace it with a better hose and clamps.

not the actual bridge but the cap on the right side.  I figured it must be a drain plug/cap.

thanks to others on how to post an image.  I'll give it a try tonight.

Still not sure what that is Sad Once uploaded, you post an image to the forums like this:

1505  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: ===►Maidak scammed me 400$ BTC,this time is for sure===► on: June 02, 2015, 04:14:51 PM
Well that was a surprise. I'd expected to see made up / flimsy claims but they seem to be reasonable even if OP did jump on the "STOP SCAMMING ME" slightly prematurely.

Pretty obvious this was created to publicise his competing forum.... Clickbait ftl.
1507  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: ANTMINER S4+ Discussion and Support Thread on: June 02, 2015, 04:06:08 PM
Now that they have seen those IP's you for sure need to change them from test run to regular behind router and possibly other equipment if it's a true data center.

Yep. They'll have added those IPs to the script they use so regardless of how many times you reset it, the script will still change it back when it runs. It may even be entirely operated, just scouting around for open IPs and hardware.
1508  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: ANTMINER S4+ Discussion and Support Thread on: June 02, 2015, 02:33:46 PM
It is my datacenter, I know that it is in a room where nobody has access.  Wink

I was on bitminter and kano with the devices.

Check your Logs, see where the change came from, also update your passwords.

From what I understand its a flaw in the bitmain system. And people could just be scanning for devices. Its not hard to scan a full subnet for a device that reports it's self as Antminer, then launch a relatively non-sophisticated attack.

This was looked at previously. It requires publicly accessible IP addresses which co-locations often use. Secure your gear behind a firewall.

Looks like Microsoft is hiring scammers now.
Shows him as a Computer Technician ? I can't imagine he's working out of Redmond.

Maybe he meant Phone Support Technician for Microsoft working remotely in Bulgaria ?

It could mean a lot of things, including "Microsoft qualified IT Tech", which simultaneously means nothing.

CanaryInTheMine 1872: -0 / +193

Why not have Canary top tier?

Seems to fit Theymos criteria more than

Dogie or Quickseller or Diamond that is for certain.

Check various threads in Meta and you will know why CITM is not in default trust list. FYI, CITM was in default trust depth 1 earlier.

And these graphs of when he was in DefaultTrust.

The same as if Canary was still in DefaultTrust with his old list. You can see the problem his list caused.

1511  Other / Meta / Re: unable to make self-moderated threads or create polls on: June 01, 2015, 10:40:39 AM
I was going to make a thread self-moderated, but I do not see that choice now in the 'additional options'

You can't create self-moderated thread in certain boards such as Meta, Auction and maybe Important Announcements.

I'd assume scam accusations as well?
1512  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: [SCAMMER] Oregon Mines on: June 01, 2015, 10:23:45 AM
Also note that Matthew Carson recommended Dogie be used in a number of projects in these forums.

That's a reflection on you not me, he was working for your company. "I hired a scammer now I'm blaming everyone else" > "Someone said something good about me".

On topic:

Here is hoping that the moderators do not let yet another scam thread get polluted.

I have addressed dogie's 'claim' elsewhere, definitely not this thread. I would ask that the moderators help keep this thread free of anyone attempting to derail it. Particularly those with a direct connection to the scammers.

You claimed - in this thread - that by him recommending me he did a bad thing. In this thread.

1514  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: [Guide] Dogie's Comprehensive ASICMiner Tube Setup [HD] on: May 31, 2015, 10:14:46 PM
Hello

I hate to ask because i feel like i'm simply passing over this info somewhere...

I ended up getting reimbursed an asicminer tube for another miner that ended up being screwy. I had too purchase the block erupter ethernet controller separate. So I ended up with only 3 UART cables and not the extra 4th cable that would go to the controller.
Which leads too my question: Can someone direct me to a website/store that sells the UART cables? (or something that works the same) I can't seem to find anything or maybe i'm just overlooking something lol.

What you're looking for can be found on Ebay or similar under "XH2.54 3pin". Its a relatively common cable but you might have to buy a pack of 20.

hello again

i purchased this cable that you suggested: http://www.ebay.com/itm/181435479007?_trksid=p2057872.m2749.l2649&ssPageName=STRK%3AMEBIDX%3AIT

and after several tests i have determined they are not working with the board.
the only visible difference ive noticed is the new cables seem to be a smaller gauge than the cables that came with the tube.
can you telll me if i bought the wrong thing?
anything helps!

At this point only Asicminer could really tell us. Its the same type of connection as the original cables, or appears to be.

Well, 2 guys for me, of which neither understands the trust system and are actively abusing it themselves. Its a lot quieter now the guy with 10 accounts got banned.
Are you by any chance referring to QS and Vod or are you talking about others that you won't name? I actually read the accusations against you just today. It was a fun story to read.  Smiley

Haha no, Pekatete (Phillip Katete) and Bicknellski (Darin Bicknell). They're the only ones who seem to be in love with me.
1516  Other / Meta / Re: Trust list reorganizing on: May 31, 2015, 08:50:27 PM
Then we'd be back where we started Tongue
I'm pretty sure that a huge group of members (mostly scammers) would be satisfied if Vod, QS and you were left out of d.trust.  Cheesy

1517  Other / Meta / Re: Trust list reorganizing on: May 31, 2015, 08:20:27 PM
Not sure this worked as intended.

Depth 0 is DefaultTrust
Depth 1 is Tomatocage
Depth 2 is Tomatocage1
So any trust ratings Tomatocage1 does doesn't really do anything.

I had a feeling I wasn't understanding it right. I have no plans of using Tomatocage1 for anything other than adding people to my Trust list at Depth 2. Please correct me if I'm mistaken, but as I think it works, Depth 2 ratings hit a little softer than Depth 1. You'd think I would have a clearer understanding how the Trust system works, being in the actual DefaultTrust group and all Embarrassed
If you really want to use Tomatocage1 for trust only you'd have to get him on Depth 1 as well.
They're correct. Being on depth 3 has no affiliation with the default trust as well. If you put for instance Vod in Depth 3 his ratings will be invalidated.
You could try asking BadBear to add your second account there though.

Then we'd be back where we started Tongue
1518  Other / Meta / Re: Trust list reorganizing on: May 31, 2015, 08:08:39 PM
Hope that the members added in DF1

No one was added to DF1, its a mistake.
1519  Other / Meta / Re: Trust list reorganizing on: May 31, 2015, 06:42:32 PM
If you trust anyone from tomatocage1 means he/she will be on depth 3. because you are on depth 1, tomatocage1 in depth2 and trusting by tomatocage1 means he/she will be depth 3.

That means trusting by tomatocage1 won't be on default trust.

Exactly, yeah. As a Depth1 user you don't have any ability to cascade or have tiered trust levels.
1520  Other / Meta / Re: Lost a long post again on: May 31, 2015, 06:39:50 PM
Next time, press the back button. The post should re-appear. Then copy it and paste it in a new (refreshed) reply page.

This thing works only in Chrome. I just tried it on Mozilla and unfortunately it failed to re-appear.

Yup. Pisses me off so much in Firefox, seriously why would I want to clear the page I was just interacting with...

If you want to write a long post you can do so in notepad ++, it autosaves every 5 seconds or so.

Cool. I am also using notepad ++ to draft my posts.   Smiley

And it is so stable and good for drafting even very very long posts.

Yeah. There's also quite a few addons you can put in to do specific tasks as well, although couldn't see one for SMF / forums.
