1321  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Cock fight game on: December 10, 2022, 01:28:28 PM
For whatever reason, those who torture animals must have psychological problems. I think we should get them treated and keep them out of society unless they show signs of improvement. We cannot tolerate such bad behavior because of the option to gamble. I am ashamed that a topic like this exists.
I have heard about making fun with animals in many places, but I did not know about organizing gambling by creating artificially pampering situations with them. But the world is diverse. Constantly having to get acquainted with something new. Gambling is a part of entertainment. Any animal harmed as a result of taking recreation is unacceptable. Moreover, various types of tools can be used for gambling. But there is no meaning in gambling with the threat of life.

I very much agree with this.

Way back, I was really oblivious about the abuse on animals because I just don't mind about something that doesn't concern me. But on my formative years, I learned how to be empathetic and being one doesn't necessarily mean you are weak or you are emotional. In gambling, it shouldn't really be about fighting off animals amongst themselves who can't even give consent.

Cock fighting often results to death. Not only it damages the game cock for some time, but it is really fatal. And I don't think it's ever justifiable to have an animal killed by thinking of surviving by fighting off their own kind just for the sake of bets.
1322  Economy / Economics / Re: House is a forced saving on: December 09, 2022, 01:50:39 PM
House is very important, I think the only houses that are soaring high are those who are inside a subdivision or a village, but if you really wanted cheaper, I think buying a lot and then build your own house is much better, at least you're sure about its quality and you'll be satisfied about the design. Rather than renting, which cost you monthly, in the end, you still doesn't have a house.

It's much better to sleep without worrying about your rent bills not getting paid on time sometimes. Also if you're gonna settle down, owning a house is a great one.
1323  Economy / Economics / Re: Only one way to save people now on: December 09, 2022, 12:30:50 PM
People will always love banks and fiat no matter what, they can't just simply love something that they didn't even know exist, or how it works. All they know is that cryptocurrency is a scam because how come that is has a very big value, etc. You can't force them to invest in bitcoin rather than letting their fiat sleeps and stolen in their bank account, because they will just blame you if they didn't like the outcome after they bought bitcoin or any cryptocurrency using their fiat.
1324  Economy / Economics / Re: From grace to grass:Reasons why a Well to do investor turned a nobody. on: December 09, 2022, 04:37:15 AM
So many times we see people who were financially bouyant and stable reduced to nothing in the society,is it because they failed to strategise well?or could it be that they no longer put in the much effort they put before that got them to the level they were?what can actually be the cause of the downfall of someone who was already stable financially?

Lack of solid plans, more random decisions that are made in a very short amount period of time, in short, they lack patience or they got too arrogant to the point that they think that they can do anything because they have a lot of money. The other thing that I could think of is that they lack on financial management, like a good one, that is why they carelessly spend their money on to something they think that is a good investment but it turns out that it is not.

If it is about business, I think they made the wrong choice in their product, or it doesn't fit on the place where they started the business. If it is something like cryptocurrency maybe they invested in a project that is all about sugarcoated promises to fool people.
1325  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What should be my fear? on: December 09, 2022, 03:50:16 AM
As a newbie who has a little knowledge of cryptocurrency but much interest in purchasing bitcoin for a long time Hodl, since the purchasing capital is not included in my spendable budget and the price of bitcoin is not very high at the moment 16k, what should be my fear?

Pls, advise me.

If you don't have any budget but you really wants to buy bitcoin, then do something about it, look for a part-time job if you're a student, or maybe look for another way to earn money if you already have a job right now. The only reason I only think for you to be afraid is when you will spend all of your money in bitcoin leaving you nothing, what I mean by that is that you will have nothing left to pay the bills and to buy your food, because you think that bitcoin will give you a large profit overnight, or even more silly.

But if you don't want to look for another job, look for someone like a relative or friends that are wealthy enough that is willing to lend you a certain amount of money that you desire to invest in cryptocurrency that will not give you a limited amount of time to pay back what you borrow.
1326  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Long term Crypto winning strategies on: December 08, 2022, 02:36:16 PM
Dear All

There are two bodies in crypto, Traders, and investors. Today's topic is for investors. Specially very longterm investors. There are investing strategies for everyone. Share your ones.

Most common and sometimes I adhere

Collect BTC  at Deep Dips. (recently FTX collapsed)

Collect potential Alts Bear market.

so lets share your belives on strategies.

This is the simplest and easiest way of making profits in the long run. Buying low Selling high from time to time is also good if you're getting bored on spot, though long term profits are still the best especially if you don't want to risk your chances in futures trading. This is also a best way to not waste your fiat sleeping on your bank account or even in your little vault in your room.

1327  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Biggest reason why you dont make profit first on: December 08, 2022, 01:47:12 PM

It was just one example but point is you should earn weekly at least 10,000$ becouse thats what it takes to live normal life nowdays weekly to earn.

I'm just curious where do you live to have a must income per week like that? $10,000 per week is like living your life like a rich kid, or a spoiled one, or I guess you just like to buy expensive stuffs but you don't really need it at all.

I don't believe you have to push yourself to earn at least $10,000 per week, I think you should be happy on whatever amount you could earn per week in trading, depends on your skills, because you can't expect more if you know to yourself that you're just a normal trader, or maybe just started trading. It's kinda pressuring to set that $10,000 per week, that could lead to disappointment if you didn't meet that, which could affect your trading plans that could lead to more losses.

Anyway, this is just my opinion.
1328  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: The patience to hold is a gift on: December 08, 2022, 12:42:36 PM
Holding is very easy if you know what you're holding, what are their capabilities in the long run, and especially their worth. However, there might be some scenarios that could happen while waiting, like for example an emergency, where you need a large amount of money therefore you'll be force to sell your bitcoin and convert it in your local currency to assess the situation, or might be anything that is urgent.

That's why I always invest my fiat on cryptocurrency 60:40, I never forget to hold some extra fiat for my needs and just in case there would be an emergency. I don't wanna ruin the profit that I could make in the long run, so I always plan ahead.
1329  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Trading and investing, and still very broke.why? Is it spiritual? on: December 08, 2022, 11:55:13 AM
I sit-down to wonder why traders who are consistent in trading and also investing still remain very broke despite the effort they put to erradicating poverty, but it still seems like there is some sort of unforseen and spiritual forces controlling the physical.Or should it be foundational curse from the forefathers affecting the present circumstances?or is it that the poverty is inherited? Or is it a gene or chromosome?.These are questions that that I tend to ask.

Not because you started trading doesn't mean that you will be rich. Not because you put too much effort on studying about trading, asking advices, paying for indicators, doesn't mean you will succeed on most of your trades. Trading is not compatible to everyone, you gotta know where you excel the most, where your skills are useful 100%, because if you'll force yourself in trading even though you can't see yourself being a successful trader, then whatever you'll do is useless.

"God gives mercy to those who help themselves" in short, ask God for his mercy to help us, and don't stop trying until you find the work that works for you.
1330  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Gambling Distortion Pattern on: December 06, 2022, 02:01:49 AM
<..>
In fact this is something that novices can experience more frequently, I include myself there only when I was a novice, I had experiences as it appears on the chart, however now we as players who have a little more experience and know myself can say that things can happen like this but not with that behavior, sometimes we can stop the losses only with decisions that can make the difference between one play and another, perhaps because we already see the game as one more way to have fun and not to make money , since when we don't see it to make money, unwanted emotions enter, fear, stress, pressure and that makes us lose faster

isn't it interesting how expactations plays a role on relaxation during the experience?
if you have more expectations (wanting a particular outcome) it can make you more tense/less relaxed or more fearful, therefore more prone to mess up due to these emotional or thought conflicts

You are right. One time I was expecting to win the same amount of money as to buy a Mercedes CLS (what a f*cking idiot I was to think that) and once I started I was really relaxed calm, even happy as I was expecting to hit the maximum payline of my beloved slot machine at a certain bet most likely at 3 dollars for a bet.It started well it gave me the bonus round a couple of times and I increased the balance nicely only to lose it by continue playing as I thought the slot machine will keep giving me money (naive expectation) while in fact it took it all away and I become mad, tense and even nervous when talking to people.I do not do this anymore thank God.

good point
in the end it's better to approach the world without expectations if possible
of course it's not the easiest thing, but it's possible.

in gambling it's hard to predict the outcome, betting in the hope of winning a lot and to keep betting with this belief is a recipe for disaster
You wouldnt really be ending up on a disaster if you are really having that limitation and being aware in towards your actions.Gambling is for entertainment but it do turns out that majority is really having that wrong

impression and beliefs that they do mold on and this is the reason on why things becomes being more desperate and on the time that they've been fucked up by gambling then this is where realization begins.

Dont make yourself that desperate on getting wins because in gambling there's always a slim chance for you to make yourself get out with profits.
Most of the time you would really be that empty handed which you should make yourself that prepared.

Indeed. All it takes is discipline. However, the sad reality is that, not everyone possess it. Which is the reason why a lot of gamblers suffer from addiction.

Some people have a hard time setting up boundaries and limitations. And they even find it more difficult to actually obey and follow it once they have made it because they don't have the discipline to do so. They tend to crave for more and instead of suppressing it, most of the time they give in. There's really nothing wrong in gambling and betting as long as you are doing it moderately and responsibly. It just turns out bad the moment you prioritize it over anything else and put it in the pedestal of your life.

Chasing winnings should be a no-no too if you want to keep your sanity because being desperate on winning and being greedy on taking the prize will just cost you so much. Remember, gambling shouldn't be your thing to rely on to earn money. It could be an additional stream of income for you, but don't let it be your main because it has so many risks and it isn't really guaranteed you'll win everytime. Always prepare for the worst, so never ever bet all of what you got just for the sake of having "fun".
1331  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Is pay to earn considered gambling? on: December 06, 2022, 12:45:20 AM
Play to earn is somewhat considered as gambling because you are already risking something the moment you decide to pay money just to play and then earn. Play to earn has really no guarantee that you will indeed earn in the long run. It might turn sour after some time, so you must always brace yourself from the unexpected. That's where the gambling concept is included in it. There's still uncertainty from profiting from it. It's still much better to have a source of income that is stable and has less risk involved to keep your peace of mind.

But if this p2e will only be your form of pass time and additional income, then it's all good as long as you won't fully depend on it for your needs. If you only want to try gambling and have some entertainment, taking the risk to the unknown future of the p2e (whether it will be successful or not) will be your form of gamble.
1332  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Is Roshtein fake money streamer or not? on: December 05, 2022, 11:52:25 PM
Guys, what u think about it?

I am sure in 101% that he plays fake money, but a lot of friends of mine - said the opposite.

After twitch banned stake and other casinos, he deleted all videos and dont even stream anymore, so its 100% proof they he had deal with stake and use free money to play, what do u think?
I am a follower of Roshtein. From my perspective, I can say that he is a genius at his craft. I actually want to see more of him streaming. So I know the fact that there are various deals between casino and the streamer. Regardless, based from my conclusion everytime I watch his streams, I believe that the money that he is spending to play on Stake came from his own pocket.

I know it is hard to believe it. In my case, at first I did not believed that it is a "real" money, but then later on, I am convinced that the money is not fake.  You can see how genuine his reactions are and how he behave on his next day stream almost everytime he had a big loss from his previous stream(s).

This guy, Roshtein, is different from other streamers.

You can't really be quite sure about it. Just because they behave like that, doesn't really mean that they are playing real money. Although for sure, there would be signs, but I'd just like to remind you that they could act depending on the character they want to portray in their stream. Some streamers are really paid well from making contents that promote the casino. Most of them, if not all, are given free money to spend in the casino to play and to make a good content for advertisement and promotion reasons.

Depending on their agreement on whether receiving free money outright just to play and make content or using the streamer's own money and then offering a reimbursement afterwards could be their deal. What I'm certain of is that both parties have a win-win situation because they are both benefiting from the set up. Streamers having more engagements means more supporters and more money. Meanwhile, being promoted by well-known streamers that have good reach on audience means more traffic on the casino website and more potential players and regulars that means more profit on their end.
1333  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: under-age gamblers on: December 05, 2022, 05:45:20 AM
under-age gambling.any side effects?
Firstly gambling is a habit that becomes an addiction when not properly control and its really gonna eat you up likewise making you restless and not always focused on things you should do.

The  rate at which i see young minds and teens involved in the act of gambling in my area is really alarming and because of the poor regulatory bodies controlling the laws in my area they can't really do anything about this and its really affecting this young age.
Gambling has become a thing for everyone in my locality with out any age restrictions and am just curious If this is not going to cause side effects on this young gamblers.

Just the other day i was predicting  some games in the world cup in a betshop cause my network was bad so i can't stake online  so i decided to go to the betshop to place the bet, then to my shock i was boy aged around 14 to 15 years who came in and gave the cashier a booking code to place the bet and give him the coupon and the cashier collected and i was like isn't this too little to be involved in such acts.

And am just curious if this won't affect the person in times to come

Minors are prohibited to gambling in most countries for a reason. It isn't imposed just because. There are many good reasons as to why underage people shouldn't engage in gambling. In my perspective, here are the things to consider valid grounds to not allow minors to be gamblers.

1. They are not yet good decision makers. Those people who are considered to be underage which are years 18 below do not really possess the necessary knowledge just yet when it comes to making decisions on their own. They still have to be guided by their parents or guardians because their brains aren't mature enough to make sound judgments needed in taking an action, most especially when it comes to gambling.

2. They still need to ask for their parent's consent. Related to number 1, this will prove that the minors cannot really move on their own just yet because of maturity reasons. They have to ask permission first before they can be allowed to do something or go to something. Since gambling could possess major risks in someone's life, a person who can't consent on their own and has to ask consent on their parents shouldn't be qualified and tolerated to be gambling.

3. They don't earn money just yet. Since they are underage, they definitely are still living in the same roof with their parents. Therefore, they still have no job/s to pay for their own meal or rent, nor even spend for the things they want to like. They are still relying on the allowances being given to them by their parents or guardians. In this case, someone must not use the money allocated for a certain thing which is important just to gamble. Using your parents' hard-earned money in betting is just pure disrespect.

4. They still have no enough concept about how the world works. Minors do not have the enough knowledge about financial management, risk assessment, risk analysis, and so on. They don't know the depth of possible repercussions the moment they engage in gambling. They have the idea of entertainment, fun, and winning money, but they don't have the idea about how to responsibly take care of them.

There are still so many reasons why minors shouldn't really be gambling on their youth. Their teenage years could be their formative years which could have an impact in the way they view life and the way how they will do things. Gambling shouldn't really be honed in those years. Instead of gambling, they should be learning about risk assessment and management, and financial literacy. So when they grew up, if ever they do want to engage in gambling in their adult years, they already have the necessary information which could help them stay in the right path and avoid being addicted in gambling.
1334  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Cock fight game on: December 05, 2022, 02:44:59 AM
All animals have the right to life. It's not right to use them in deadly fights. It is unacceptable even to do it in ancient times. It is very sad to hear about such incidents in modern times. Anyone can bet with modern technological methods instead of harming animals. Because today, almost everyone has a smartphone in their pocket. And almost everyone has access to the Internet. It saddens me to hear such incidents in the modern age. Such a gamble would never be fun for me. I never took such a gamble. And I would never gamble like that. I would never go to a casino that organizes such a gamble. I have to admit that I am disappointed that such a gamble is considered normal.
We live in a world filled with various cultures, maybe this is one of the various others or maybe even more extreme out there and we can't prevent it. I wouldn't ever use it also even rats, birds, or fish, but we can't avoid to see this daily when live on that culture, we can't forbid it when everyone like it, and in fact, if we forced everyone to not use it, we will get hate and be excommunicated from the community.

Valid point.

Everyone has their own culture and tradition they grew up with and preferred to live up to today. We really have no control over other people's decision about these things because it's still a matter of preference and viewpoint. If it is considered to be legal in your country and the operators you have are operating legally and have proper documents and permits to let them hold such organized events of cock fighting, then do what suits you best. If that's how you get entertainment from, I won't impose my beliefs on you.

But personally, I'd rather play casino games or sports betting rather engaging in gambling betting involving animal cruelty. Although this is just me, since I can't really take violence and cruelty among animals who can grant permission on their end. As long as it isn't prohibited by the government, then we have a little to worry about because if it is legal, then they have the means to regulate it.
1335  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Losing $350,000 because of a friend, what would you do? on: December 05, 2022, 01:45:01 AM
^
Okay just to follow up on this topic after all we are all in this discussion anyway.

Which one would you prefer?
  • Losing money because unintentionally your friend does something like removing it on the black 15
  • Or losing a friend because he bet the amount without consulting you?

I'd rather lose a so-called friend rather than losing my hard earned money. Because if someone really considers you as a true friend of theirs, they will not do anything that will upset you or frustrates you despite knowing it. They will respect your decision and will not cross the boundary to showcase their disrespect. Instead of getting your money and betting it on something else without properly asking your permission, a true friend will ask you if you want advice or not and base from your answer, he will suggest you a better option or choice he knows. But will not really impose his beliefs on you to control or manipulate you.

It should be a common knowledge already to not meddle if it's not your business to begin with. A person must know his limitations in being involved in someone else's lives. Otherwise, trouble will really arise.
1336  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Which has better odds, lottery, online gambling, or sports betting? on: December 03, 2022, 04:37:13 PM
I will certainly be choosing sports betting as I was exposed more to it than others. And not only that, I was choosing this because my chances of winning it were a little bit high than the lottery and card games. If fact, winning a bet in sports is not just a matter of luck but we have the chance to bet on the team base on their performance, not by a wild guess like the lottery. However, not all sports I have to bet on, I was just particular about basketball.
It’s really an advantage when you’re good into sports so sportsbetting should be the perfect choice. Our background from the sport will be a great edge so we can win from sportsbetting aside from luck that we should also have. And even if you’re good at one sport only, then focus your bet on it and never go random betting to avoid future losses.

This has a point.

If you are already good at sports, even if it's just one sports, then you have a better rate on winning compared to others because you know the game well like an alphabet song. If you will focus on that sports, spend more time in knowing more about it especially on the teams, then you can have greater probability of getting a prize on it. You can bet on that specific sports with your knowledge and luck combined. Then maybe after, you can try risking to other sports that you are not really familiar with, but with reservations of course.

It's always a good option to bet according on your judgement and knowledge, not just instincts because it doesn't work well everytime. You can follow your gut feelings, but it is best if you have something to back it up to avoid losing money over a wild guess.
1337  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: gambling winner identity on: December 03, 2022, 03:55:16 PM
an interesting fact that has been happening in my country, for a long time, whenever someone won the lottery prize, they showed that person's face, there was no problem and that person received his prize and there was no risk to his life, people did not have a problem talking about playing the lottery, but with the increase in kidnappings in recent times and murders now when the prize is a lot of money, when someone wins a lot of money, that person doesn't show his face and they don't even say the person's name, which means that lottery organizers do not want to risk the lives of winners

Way back, this was really rampant in winning the lottery. People were not afraid of showing their faces to the national television because criminal activities and its rate were really low back then. Illegal activities that involve great risk toward someone that were filed were only few. Perhaps the way of living before is still attainable and manageable compared to today wherein people have to resort to doing bad stuff just to survive and put food on their mouths.

Nowadays, you can really see the transition and changes from how they do things. Today, people are more wary of their actions. Most people are becoming self-conscious and are now prioritizing their privacy over anything else because of security reasons and having inner peace. In this modern time, you can barely see a lottery winner publicly announcing they have won. This is because anonymity is becoming more and more preferable. People will hide their identity to spare themselves from being vulnerable to those people who want to take advantage of them. Since money attracts unnecessary attention of the bad guys (robbers, murderers, and the likes) you would rather keep your mouth shut instead of bragging. In addition, to ensure that their winnings will not be recklessly given away to anyone who will borrow from them or ask help from them.

In my experience, people who are making a lot in cryptocurrency are not the type that will talk to people, share their experience, share tips, most of all they are not gonna share their signals, if that includes in what you're looking for. Lucky you if you find genuine and generous people that will guide you in trading without any hesitation or without any money involve as a payment for their goodness.

As one of the world's leading economies with countless cutting edge technologies, Japan has maintained its high-profile status for many decades. Even in this World Cup, Japan has defeated Germany and Spain, striving to the next level of competition. It seems that Japan does not need to prove to be a great nation to the world. However, in the crypto industry, we barely heard anything great from Japan, no leading blockchain ecosystem or any cryptocurrency exchange alike. Why ? Please correct me if I am wrong.

I think they don't need to buy cryptocurrency or support cryptocurrency just because Satoshi Nakamoto is a Japanese name. We all have our own choices in life, on where to invest or risk our money. But I believe Japanese government are not that strict when it comes to cryptocurrency, if I'm not mistaken, you could use cryptocurrency to buy products in their country, correct me if I'm wrong though.
1340  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bear market likely over? on: December 03, 2022, 10:59:32 AM
Seems the bear market is likely going soonest. Congratulations in advance to those who bought low and those hodling for a long time. There is likely going to be a new all time high to be achieved before this year comes to an end. If you can, fill up your bag but do your own research.

What do you all think about the sudden bounce back and price increase on Bitcoin of lately?

I have not seen the bear market coming over in any time soon. It is now that the bear is about to start. Because it has not reached the speculated amount of 10$. Anyone saying that the bear market basket is coming to end is deceiving him or herself. Since we are in one the worst bear market in the Crypto space, this is the best time to buy and hodle it for the ATH. As the OP said, before you buy and hodle,. You have to know your financial status. If you keep all your savings to buy cryptocurrency, you might have issue with your family. Therefore, buy wisely. Enjoy btje bear market. Tour the bear Marlet.

I agree.

I thought Bitcoin is gonna hold up in the price of $20,00-$21,000 but it drops even more last week, if I'm not mistaken. Bear marker also gonna surprise us on how low it can get before bull market surprise us on how high it can get next time it will happen. Buying indeed every dip is a good move but don't forget the saying that "don't put all the eggs in one basket" because it might give you a lot of risk and regrets.
