9th Circuit: Americans Have No Right To Concealed Carry A Gun Outside Home

The United States Court of Appeals for the Ninth Circuit is ruling in favor of California’s “good cause” requirement, saying the Second Amendment does not protect a right to carry a concealed gun in public.

On February 13 2014 Breibart News reported that a panel of judges from the Ninth Circuit struck down California’s “good cause” requirement. Thereafter–under pressure from State Attorney Kamala Harris–the court announced that it would rehear the case en banc. Today that en banc ruling resulted in the “good cause” requirement being upheld and Americans being told they have not right to carry a concealed gun in public.

The case–PERUTA V. CTY. OF SAN DIEGO–was filed by concealed permit applicants who think the “good cause” requirement infringed their Second Amendment rights in San Diego and Yolo Counties. On February 13, 2014, the Ninth Circuit panel sided with the Plaintiffs, ruling that the right to keep and bear arms is, in and of itself, a sufficient cause for bearing arms for self-defense. Moreover, that it is a sufficient cause both inside and outside of one’s domicile.

The San Francisco Chronicle quoted from Judge Diarmuid O’Scannlain’s majority opinion, in which he emphasized that “the right to bear arms includes the right to carry an operable arm outside the home for the lawful purpose of self-defense.”

But the en banc ruling went in the opposite direction, upholding the “good cause” requirement and unequivocally stating that Americans have no right to carry a concealed gun outside the home for self-defense. Writing in the majority opinion, Judge Williams Fletcher said, “We hold that the Second Amendment does not preserve or protect a right of a member of the general public to carry concealed firearms in public.”

How many individuals who have a license for their firearm have intentionally shot innocent people? The shootings are by individuals usually who obtain firearms illegally. Restrictive laws will only disarm the law abiding citizens, making us more likely to become victims of a crime.

There are several different types of Bitcoin clients. The most secure are full nodes like Bitcoin Core, but full nodes are more resource-heavy, and they must do a lengthy initial syncing process. As a result, lightweight clients with somewhat less security are commonly used.
Advertised sites are not endorsed by the Bitcoin Forum. They may be unsafe, untrustworthy, or illegal in your jurisdiction.

This you can do.

I am reasonably sure that neither you nor I want an infinity of paperwork regarding owning a gun, but if you want more, then make more for yourself.

Let the people who want less or none have less or none.

Yes. They know.

Besides, the shootings by licensed owners almost always stop the illegal owners and criminals from committing a crime.

At the same time, standard law says that if there is no injury (harm or damage), there is no crime. So if a person is prosecuted in the courts for carrying outside of his property, he can beat it. It isn't the right of cops and the military to carry outside their home, either. How do they get away with it?

Well in my opinion we don't need gun controls because many don't follow the rules even if we put a law about gun control they will break it. They don't fear the law.  Grin

Lots of bad people doesn't care about laws and they don't do what is right. but it doesn't mean that we should leave them and allow them what they are doing. this is like we are also indirectly supporting guns supply and terrorism.
Controlling guns nowadays is not easy but we can still control if if we all become one unit. unity gives strength.
Teach your child about this thing, we should start this mission from our home, lack of education and jobs is the biggest reason of this shit.

Guns don't kill people, people kill people. Really it comes down to us having advanced technology so anybody can do big damage. Do we limit that technology? I think it's dangerous to limit the types of technology people can have. And still, if somebody in the club would have had a gun I bet there would have been a lot less deaths. So I think we should all be allowed to have guns if no mental issues or violent crimes.

I think i understand now why US Americans are so scared of genocide:

They perpetrated several genocides and are scared of revenge? :S

Most Americans don't even realize how their government did this... the genocides.

Americans have been brainwashed into the idea of living healthy for much longer than they do. Science and the medical have brainwashed them into this. So, it is brainwash fear of death.

Gun sales surge among gays, lesbians after Orlando shooting

DENVER -- Gun sales are surging in the wake of Sunday’s deadly mass shooting in Orlando, Fla. The tragedy is generating new debate over gun control reform and the right to bear arms.

Gun shops typically see a spike in customers after mass shootings. But this time, many are seeing shoppers they’ve never really seen before: More gays and lesbians.

George Horne, the owner of The Gun Room, Denver’s oldest firearms dealer, said Tuesday business is booming at his store.

"For this time of year I’d say its three to four times what we normally have," he said.

Background checks that once took minutes can now take hours. It's a sales surge similar to what happened after Sandy Hook and the Aurora theater shootings.

“We’re not surprised by it,” Horne said.

However, what’s different this time around is the clientele. Mike Smith, a firearms instructor in Colorado Springs, is one of many closely tracking the sudden surge in gays and lesbians buying weapons.

“I think right now because of what happened, people are looking for answers,” he said. “You walk into a gun shop and you expect to see people, frankly, who look like me. I think we forget we’re a country of all people, not just people who fit that predetermined mold.”

The Pink Pistols is a national gun club for gays and lesbians. It saw its membership soar from about 1,500 members on Saturday to 3,500 on Monday.

Dozens of new chapters are springing up, including one Smith is creating in Colorado Springs. He said it’s something he feels compelled to do, even though he’s heterosexual.

“I look at it as a disenfranchised minority that needs someone who’s willing to say I’m a resource who’s here and willing to help,” he said.

Another chapter also appears to be forming in the Denver area. The Pink Pistols typically meet on a regular basis at firing ranges to practice shooting.

Taking away the rights of an average citizen to obtain and use a gun doesn't prevent criminals and psychopaths from getting guns. It just means that regular people won't be able to defend themselves.

Steven Seagal Thinks Many Mass Shootings

Steven Seagal: Mass Shootings in the US are "Engineered"

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=m0F2uB__6ec

In the video, Steven Seagal speaks forthrightly about his belief that there is a concerted effort by the government to violate our rights as part of an assault on the constitution:

“I believe in the second amendment and our constitution more than anything in the world, and I think that Adolf Hitler – for example — when he wanted to annihilate the people of Germany — the first thing he did was to take away their guns.

And the right to bear arms wasn’t just to protect the people from foreign invaders, it was to protect them from evil governments, and anyone that would violate their inherited rights as human beings.”

He continues, “I believe that, and I hate to say this, a lot of these mass murders and all this funny stuff that’s going on, I believe a lot of this is engineered.”

It's so nice that we are being lectured to by second and third rate movie stars.

As far as the atrocities by Muslim extremists, there is no need to "engineer" any of them because there are enough of them as it is.  This can be established by looking at the broad extent of such terrorism, the many countries affected by it.  Basically the entire world.  Only ten days into Ramadan, and we have the better part of a hundred terrorist acts and a thousand dead.

I am with you entirely on this idea of Muslim extremists. As you have seen in the past, I also have posted info from http://www.thereligionofpeace.com/quran/023-violence.htm. Muslim violence isn't the point of this thread. Gun control is.

If we want to wipe out Muslim extremist violent actions here in the States, we all need to be armed. We are our own army against all who rise up against us... especially against the inside-job, gun-controllers of the United States government.

Since the Orlando nightclub shooting on Sunday, gun sales have rapidly increased throughout the United States.

Adventure Outdoors Owner Jay Wallace told Fox Business Network’s Stuart Varney that sales of AR-15s and other firearms have “really kicked up” since Sunday.

AR-15’s may look like military rifles but they are actually semi-automatic guns, which means they can only fire one round with each pull of the trigger. By contrast, military-style guns have the ability to fire multiple rounds with one pull of the trigger. The ‘AR’ in AR-15 actually stands for ArmaLite rifle, named after the company that developed it and does not stand for “assault rifle,” according to the National Shooting Sports Foundation.

Wallace claimed that he has sold more than 15 AR-15’s per hour and may know the reasons as to why there is such a rise in sales.

“[People] are afraid that the government is going to take [guns] away and there are folks that are in fear because of the times that we are living in today and those are two big reasons,” he said.

Unless you are a real professional at using the AR-15, you DON'T want a full automatic. You simply mess up your aim and waste rounds with full auto. However, if you want to switch even the AR-15 to full auto, there are rather easy ways to do it. Study.

When I was in the army the switch was made from full auto to three-round-burst for the standard issue weapon.  It's even difficult to train active duty soldiers to use full auto appropriately, and relatively uncommon to find oneself in a tactical situation where full auto is the best option.  At least that seemed to be the thoughts of the planners, and it made sense to me as well at the time.  The ArmaLite based weapon is actually a very comfortable form factor and the recoil is amazingly lite compared to larger caliber weapons.  Obviously these advantages are pertinent to both offensive and defensive use.
