At the practical level, states operate to a degree as "policy laboratories."  Valta does not get this he thinks he can talk about statistics US vs other country, US as a uniform whole.  He has no clue of New Mexico vs Boston, Alaska vs NY City.  One would think it's not a bad idea to "get a clue."

Actors and actresses are not exactly experts on firearms, home invasions, police techniques, law, constitutional rights, or many other subjects. 

At the same time, the portrayal of firearms in movies is very, very different than in reality.  Often they magically hit what they are pointed at every time, if in the hands of a good guy, and have huge magazine capacities, as many shots as are needed to make the scene.  Usually the machine guns miss the good guys, while the good guys snub nose 38 hits the target on the first shot at fifty yards.

So there are things actors could and should say.  "Don't believe the real world of accuracy in firing a gun is what you see in the movies."  Many other similar things.  But that they don't indicates how little they understand....
