They need to stop all this drama. They need to admit that they stole the world cup from New Zealand and move on. Billions of people were watching the match live and Stokes never asked the umpire to retract his decision. These shameless guys won the world cup by doing cheating and after that now they want to claim the moral high ground as well. Which cannot say that England did not deserve to win the world cup. England did play well till the 25th over of the NZ innings from where the NZ starting dominating. Its no use to start the discussion again on who was the actual deserving winner of the world cup when the decision cannot be changed.

I would say England is on a pretty good situation after Day2. They are trail by just 17 runs and have 6 wickets in hand. Australia needs some quick wickets to come back on this match. Rory burns played an outstanding inning of 125 runs. And stokes is also in the crease so England will be hoping to put as much as runs on the board. Day 3 is going to be very interesting, it can decide the winner of this match.

England is trail by a small difference. The winning percentage of Australia is very low and England has got an overall percentage of growth stating more than 75% Few wickets on the starting of the match will increase the winning probability.

Wahab Riaz didn't play much in test format. Only 27 matches within this longer period of his career. I think he could still play some more years. He is enough fit yet.

I don't think that the England team is at fault here since it was the ICC rules that were messed up. The problem here is that the English players are themselves not happy with the win(Eoin Morgan literally stated that the ending was unfair). Now, these guys are contradicting each other. It is pretty sad to see a winner lament despite winning(According to ICC) and it goes to show how certain rules need to be restructured asap.

I think it's good that Pakistani senior cricketers know that they need to retire and give the chance to the junior players. Previously we had this bad habit that the players never announce retirement and the cricket board had to forcefully retire them. They need to stop all this drama. The English players statement suggest that they are not 100% confident on their win and this win for them is controversial. You can think of England people on how would they be feeling. Isn't it unlucky for whole English nation as they can never celebrate the world cup win as there will doubt in their mind that maybe the results weren't fair.

That's understandable in the case of Wahab Riaz, but why the hell did Amir retire from the test format? It was his time to prove that he's the fastest and best, yet he still retired so early from this format. Almost everybody spoke against Amir in this regard, including Wasim Akram.

True that Amir could continue some more years but after all it's his decision. Moreover, longer format match is risky for pacer, injury can get them easily. May be he is thinking long time in ODI and T20.

After Amir, it seems like Wahab Riaz is retiring from Test cricket format as well: Wahab Riaz to announce retirement from Test cricket: Reports
Both of these players will be available for the shorter format of the game, it is hard to be a fast bowler in the pitches they play especially in UAE which always aide the spinners and not the faster bowlers and fitness is a major issue and with many cricket leagues around the world they can prolong their career too if they retire from test cricket and reduce the work load. I think it's good that Pakistani senior cricketers know that they need to retire and give the chance to the junior players. Previously we had this bad habit that the players never announce retirement and the cricket board had to forcefully retire them. Hope you will identify the major difference, now we have T20 cricket and there are many leagues around the globe that pays really good money to the players and the older generation did not have that luxury and they need to play international cricket to make the maxing amount of money for their career after cricket, but now things have changed drastically after T20 is introduced and the players have more opportunity to make money.

Agreed, but at the end, cricket is a professional game as well and they need to think about about prolonging their career. However, 27 is too early to retire. I can't remember anyone to get retired at this short age. The players may think they don’t need Test cricket but they are ignoring the fact that Test cricket needs them.

The problem here is that test cricket is getting less and less entertaining with time except for a few exceptions(Ashes etc) which is why the ICC introduced the World Test Championship to attract viewers and provide more entertainment value. This is why players like Amir etc are leaving test matches to focus on formats like ODI and T20 where they can provide better entertainment value and receive more money in a shorter span of time. We need more new stuff to make tests a lot more entertaining basically.

Players will continue to retire from tests, to concentrate more on the T20 leagues. Nowadays new T20 leagues are emerging in every nook and corner of the world, and the players are being paid handsomely for relatively short stints. After all, playing cricket is just like any other profession and the players need to earn as much as they can, when they are on top form.

After all, playing cricket is just like any other profession and the players need to earn as much as they can, when they are on top form. Some players find it hard to get a place on the test cricket team. Because it is the real cricket where the capability of a player can be measured. With T20 matches too one can prove his ability, but here the same can't be compared with test cricket. This is the fair reason for more players announcing early retire from the games.

That quote sums up my opinion on his early retirement as well. These players might not need this format of cricket, but the format itself requires them. If the young players start to think that this format is very hard for them, it just proves that they're not fit enough to play the best format of cricket.

Its a shame that the WI/India game was abandoned due to the rain. The WI were looking good at 54/1 and might of posted a decent score for India to chase but it wasn't to be. India are hot favourites to win the series but I just want to see the WI put up a fight and give India more of a challenge unlike in the T20 series.
