Virat's style of play has changed over the years and he is no longer suitable for T20 cricket. Since there is big money in T20, he may still focus on that format, but IMO he should retire from T20Is and concentrate on ODIs and test matches (he can still participate in the IPL). But I am suspecting that the selectors are losing their patience. He needs to regain his form, or the selectors may ask him to GTFO. Unfortunately for Virat, and fortunately for the Indian team, a lot of promising youngsters are emerging and at least some are in direct competition with him.

Right now as Kohli is going with this most chances he lost his place because money is key for many Indian players, so they are playing all three formats with current situation Kohli need to take retirement from T20i and ODI with just play test matches and if he still wants then he can go ahead with IPL which is much better for him and his future.

Indian cricketing calendar is hectic which is also creating too many problems for players recently they have done few good things and now having two teams for white ball and red ball which is going to be positive but with this all now it's time for Kohli to decide about his future like Broad and Anderson he can play one format for very long time and take his form back as well.

At least something good from ICC for having a good number of teams in this event because this is good chance for them to play against each other and have good experience so with this quality can improve, and these teams can do much better in coming years.

I am feeling that from A group Sri Lanka and Namibia are okay but from B for me there is tough challenge as recently Zimbabwe is also doing better performance, and they can give challenge to Ireland and Scotland with this for me any team from Ireland or Zimbabwe can qualify for next round with Scotland have less chance because their recent performance is also not good enough like Ireland.

I don’t have any doubt that Sri Lanka is on track to qualify. Also, the other predictions seem to be accurate. And West Indies from group B also seems certain.
This is the shorter format, so I believe the smaller teams will have a better chance to prove themselves. By the way, the schedule of the T20 World Cup is given below.

I too agree that this tweet is much better instead of all the criticism Virat has been getting from former player’s, and this shows that these two sides chose humanity over their natural rivalry. Furthermore don’t you’ll think that Virat needs to step away from the team and get back to his basics, because we need him firing for the T20 World Cup but at this current rate the team management will have to drop him, hence shouldn’t he try and revive himself before it’s too late?.

It is actually quite unbelievable to me that they are giving this guy so many chances. I know that we are talking about Virat Kohli. But I don’t think he has done anything to deserve these chances. And now the selectors are trying to get him back in form by putting him against a relatively weak opponent. I honestly don’t think this is the most appropriate idea. A lot of other players could have been given the chance instead of this failure.

I know people are trying to say that I am being “too harsh" on Virat Kohli. But he should have concentrated on his career instead of doing ridiculous things like supporting the black lives matter movement etc. I think he is capable of playing well against a team like Zimbabwe. What I would like to understand is what Virat Kohli is doing to improve in cricket. I know he is a talented player and all. However, I don't think even a star player like him is going to be able to improve if he does not try really hard. I also really don't know what he is doing to change his form right now.

Yes playing against weaker opponents and scoring a lot of runs can often increase the confidence of a player. However, that is not going to be helpful for Virat Kohli if he is unable to carry on with the form he showed against Zimbabwe. If he has become a player who can only perform against weaker opponents like Zimbabwe then I don't think the Indian team needs the same. They have a lot of better players.

There is no doubt Virat Kohli is one of the best batsman in current era but in last three years he lost his form badly, and they are not doing anything for this like we just check few players are retiring from few formats as they are feeling burden and with this they can do some better why in Virat Kohli case it's not, not happening.

That's the honest oponion. Kohli hasn't scored any century for last 2 to 3 years. There is no harm in going back and playing domestic cricket. There are more then 30 teams in Indian domestic setup and kohli can get some good help by playing quality cricket.

This is the first time i am hearing about mental problems to Virat Kohli. Not sure whether these are true, i do agree that he needs some rest but to regain his composure he needs to keep on playing to find the rhythm. There is no logic to talk about Kohli and his wife. As it refers to his personal life. However, Kohli has not been able to get rhythm on the field for many days. I think he needs to break from the main squad for a few days. I think a little break may bring him back to his previous place. Just remember that performance in cricket is not always would be the same.
