The batsman in the picture below is Kieron Ferrary, the 35-year old who represents Gibraltar in international cricket. After a two year battle with blood cancer, he returned to international cricket to represent Gibraltar in ICC Men's T20 World Cup Sub Regional Europe Qualifier Group B this week.

Too bad for him that Gibraltar finished at the rock bottom of Group B, with 4 losses from 4 games. But at least they had a squad that was mostly comprised of native players, unlike the case with most of the other teams in this tournament.

The performance of Gibraltar cricket team is very bad . The players of Gibraltar cricket team are not in good form and they are lose for the country. Gibraltar team should work on their skills because today is modern time and every person want match with big sixes and fours but the players of Gibraltar are not hitting the sixes and also we did not see good partnership in last couple of matches. But I think selected should change the team ,if they will select the same team for the next tournament,the result will also be same . So playes should work hard because they earn by playing cricket and everyone want benefit from the other. If they will not play well ,they will be out of the team because nobody can bear burden on him.They lose last match by 6 runs but they could win this match if they play well in the end but they performed bad in the end.

This was one of the most useless series I have ever watched in T20I cricket. Apart from the first match, all others were lop-sided. At least the BCCI should have asked ZC to make it a bit more entertaining by making it a tri-series. Namibia or Kenya could have been added as the third team in case South Africa wasn't interested. In the end, it turned out to be such a shitty series that was beneficial only for improving the career stats of Indian bench players. BTW, I hope that the BCCI has secured the votes from ZC in ICC elections for the next 5-6 years.

I disagree. This series was always meant to boost the next gen Indian players for sure, but Zimbabwe did a lot better than expected and winning one match itself is a huge achievement for them.

Their people were singing and having a great time throughout all the matches implying that this series thoroughly entertained both sides. That's a W for both countries.

I am still not very sure about the very purpose of this series between India and Zimbabwe. Latter can't even qualify for the T20 World Cup (even after it's expansion to 20 countries). What makes Zimbabwe a preferred team, when compared to associates such as Nepal and Namibia? Despite being a neighboring nation, the BCCI has never organized a series against Nepal till now. On the other hand, Zimbabwe gets a series against India once every 2-3 years. Quite unfair, in my opinion.  

Apart from their usual commitment of handing out bilateral to full members, BCCI also strengthening India's bench strength so it makes complete sense.

As far as associate nations go. BCCI recently sent Punjab domestic team to Nambia where both teams played 5 ODI series (4-1 to Punjab). They can't send the national team everywhere and from the recent trend I've noticed, it looks like they are trying to create a system where the domestic teams regularly play against associates. They did more or less the same thing when Nepal played a tri-series in Gujrat against 2 domestic teams.

Plus, last year before the WC Karnataka hosted the Nederlands.

India team won back to back 4 games and also won this series by 4 wins out of 5 and Zimbabwe team only 1 st game of this series but I am very happy because he successfully win one game and I think that Indian total whitewashed Zimbabwe weak team. In 5 th game, India team made 167 runs in 20 overs and Zimbabwe team stopped the Batsman of India team for low runs. S.Samson made brilliant half century and he made 58 runs in 45 balls and he hitted one 4s and four 6s. If this Batsman wicket dropped in early stage of game Indian definitely lose this game. Zimbabwe team chased 125 runs only and lost this game by 42 runs. M Kumar took down 4 wickets in 3.3 overs with 25 overs definitely good effort in bowling and Dube got a player of game award because of his outstanding struggle in batting or bowling. Congratulations Indian team.

Such series are helpful for new players, no? Regarding, improving career stats of players, I don't think it's the case since most were new players, more for experience than stat padding IMO.

On making it a tri-series, SA addition could have been entertaining indeed but it'd have been still as if two sides were playing since obviously India vs SA would have been in the final after thrashing Zimbabwe from both sides; and if it was Kenya/Namibia, their encounters might have been interesting against Zimbabwe but whoever would have made it to finals were waiting to get thrashed by India anyhow.

Agreed. There are so many cricket leagues these days that it's easy to choose what we want to watch at any specific time of the year. Personally, I was interested in the India vs Zimbabwe series and had fun watching it(Highlights mostly).

Was busy watching Wimbledon and Euro 2024 too simultaneously. Excited for the upcoming Olympics Paris 2024 as well.

Yes ,you are right . Gibraltar cricket team is playing well at International level and that is not small thing and they are performing well . Win and lose is a part of game but I saw the Gibraltar team as good opponent team because they always fought well.

Gibraltar team should work hard because they can improve their performance and they need good coach and if they got a good coach,we will see they will perform excellent at International level. It is not team that will play against India, Australia and Pakistan but it is a team that can win matches against Small teams. If they will play well against small teams ,test will get confidence and they will play well against big team .We can see the stat of Gibraltar team and I think that is not bad and they won many matches in couple of months.

Hindukush Strikers vs Maiwand Champions Hindukush Strikers playing this tournament with amazing performance and they won all matches they played in past total 3 and dominate this league with 6 points and also in top rank. Their recent match against Maiwand Champions team, their bowlers showing well effort and Maiwand Champions team only set 172 runs record. Abdul Malik and Rahmat Shah these two amazing batsman of HIS team led chase of small record and making score 90 and 69. HIS team easily achieving  record with 78 balls and 9 wickets. Maiwand Champions showed bad struggle with none of their players reaching on high runs in batting and made many difficulties for bowlers to secure the record . This game match was held at Kunduz Cricket Ground where HIS's bowlers both F. Dawoodzai and M. Alizai dismissed good Batsman and make possible this game to win.

To be honest I am not much familiar with this competition Major League and I just watch few matches of this competition and but I found this match was interesting and played among San Francisco Unicorns sqaud against MI New York squad. Because in this match we saw a good match with good fight and with also very narrow outcome with 100% percent good response from both side. Frist San Francisco Unicorns sqaud has begun this match first with batting inning with winning toss task. In this innings, San Francisco Unicorns squad has managed to collect 148 scores which seem not big job to achieve this scores for victory but I really appreciated the performance of their sqaud bowlers how their bowlers restricted the batter of MI New York squad batter to achieve their Defeating target and was too near to catch but at end San Francisco Unicorns bowlers succeeded to defend their target. Out of last five overs, these two overs made this victory could be possible first over 17 and second over 19 over. Few days ago one another game  in ICC Men's Cricket World Cup League 2 tournament was completed between Oman and Scotland teams. Oman showed very bad effort throughout in match and also in this tournament with losing all three matches in past with this one. But Scotland team performed very good and in this match their tema defeated Oman team by a good margin. The bowlers of Scotland, especially Charlie Cassell was displayed outstanding performance with taking 7 wickets and restricted Oman team only 91 runs record. The batsmen of Scotland both Richie Berrington and Brandon McMullen easily chased Oman team record of 91 runs. Oman team did not play well and Scotland team paying amazing throughout the tournament and have potential to win this tournament.

I recently watched the match between Scotland and Oman at the ICC Men's Cricket World Cup League 2. Scotland won the match by a huge margin (which is not really surprising given the fact that they are the strongest among associate teams). One thing that I noticed was their jersey. Scotland always have the coolest jerseys among all the cricket teams. And this has been the case for the last 2 decades or so. Why can't the other teams follow their example? I also predict Oman and Scotland to win, they all came true.  And the main reason for this is the perform of both of them.  In this match as before, the Scotland bowler bowled very well and applied a lot of pressure and set a target of just 91 runs for his batsmen.  And their batsmen achieved that target in 17 overs.  In this match, the speed of their batsmen was slow.  But the target was achieve and the match was won.  It will be a huge achievement for Oman if they work hard and beat Scotland.  They have lost many matches against Scotland.  And I want Oman to beat Scotland with their good performance and win the match.As Oman bowler had put pressure in this match, if they had put more, they could have won the match.  Because the pace of the Scotland batsmen was low.

This meeting was held in the Colombo and it was based on the controversy that Pakistan hosts to Champions Trophy. So far, Pakistan is hosting this event and BCCI does not complain against this. They are coming in the Pakistan to play the Asia Cup.

Also, ICC told PCB the budget of the event and the BCCI also happy with this. ICC told if the Indian team would not come to play in Pakistan then Sri Lanka come in the event and would qualify for the Champions Trophy because nobody has issues playing in Pakistan except India but now they are also fully aligned.

In news, it is looking too good about this because ICC and BCCI both are on one page with Pakistan and all is going good but peoples those are living in this region and also understand the ground realities of these countries understand about this as well because we need just few hours and both will be on opposite sides and things will be out of control for all without any problem it's nature of these countries and their culture as well.

I am also excited about Champions Trophy is going to be played in Pakistan after 6 months and this is going to be big breakthrough for them after having many problems and controversies in last few years which hit Pakistani cricket badly, and they are almost out of the touch as well. If we have India in this event this could be big win for the game and Pakistan because I have strong feeling we will be having Sri Lanka as their replacement instead of India which is still hot topic with their government.
